Speaker 1 (00:03):
Oh yeah, what's up. It's lip service and we're on
our best behavior today. I mane lu, I'm g G maguire,
I'm LOVEA and we got J Prince here with us. Hello, sir. Yeah,
it's gonna be different than the interviews that you have
been doing. But we're gonna ask you as an o
G in this not about music, but about relationships. As
far as being O G, what would you give? What

(00:25):
advice would you give to these young guys out here?
Because I know you've been through a lot and seen
a lot, witnessed a lot of things. So the ladies
to you said to the young guy, Yeah, to the yeah,
get no advice. Yeah, well you know about my perspective. Yeah,
well I need to help a man's perspective and give
me some advice. You get what I'm saying, Yes you do.

(00:47):
But I will say man and women differ on our
views on things a lot, So you know, J. Prince
might think this is the best thing to do and
we might have to challenge him on something. Oh he
just looked up. I was like another mind. Okay, so um,
and I brought this up. When you're on the Breakfast Club,

(01:07):
the book, the Art and Science of Respect. There's not
a lot about relationships in there, so we're gonna get
advice from you about that because it's not something that
you really prefer to talk about. It feels like, right right,
But I got some advice I can give on that.
So if you're broke, should you be dating as a man,
because I've had men that have in the past wanted
to ask me out, but they told me later on

(01:29):
I didn't really have it like that, So I didn't
want to ask you out because I didn't have my money, right, Yeah,
It's all about what you feel secure as a you
know how you feel as a man. You know, if
you feel incomplete, then get you get your grind up,
you know what I mean, get yourself together and you
know what I mean. But if you feel you qualified
being broken, man, I can't stop you from it. Maybe

(01:51):
your lottery pick, but for you personally, because obviously you
had money for a long time, right right, You've been
selling we since she was eleven. You got me to
understand that. But there was a period of time when
you gave everything up and you were broke. Did you
feel comfortable dating during that time? Well, when I hit
rock bottom like that, I had someone that was down

(02:13):
with me, and yeah, I felt real comfortable with her
because she showed me, uh something I hadn't seen before,
and that's that she was down with me at rock bottom.
So that was important. That was a special moment. And
you know, I was secure as a man even when
I hit rock bottom. So it's good to have a

(02:33):
woman that's down with your ground zero. So when you
rise to the top, you know what I mean, y'all
still want a car, so she gets like she can
get like a vacation on the island. She chooses. Yeah,
you know, I never forget people that was down with me,
you know what I mean, period in life, you know
what I mean. So it's hard for me to let

(02:55):
go when Lawyer tiers in the portrait, you know what
I mean, I helped somebody that was down with me
no matter what. What do you ladies think about a
guy perhaps asking you out, you know, g and Loreal
and they don't really have it like that, they don't
have a car, they don't have a lot of money,
but it's your first like initial stages of dating. Do
you think that that's cool or do you think that

(03:16):
they should kind of wait, I think that they should
get very creative if they're not going to wait, it's
not always about money. Um, you know, if you can't
afford to take me out to a fancy dinner, then
buy some groceries and cook you know, um, I mean
not really what if they take I mean, come on,
you can'cer What are you eating? Right? What do you eat?

(03:38):
But I think could get something grocery grocer grocer. I mean,
you know, you can always go for like a picnic
in the park, you know, you know I walked into
If you're in the beach city, you know, somewhere that
has a beach, you can go, you know, take a
stroll on the beach. Or you don't always have to
impress somebody with material things and with money. Um, it's
always good to let your personality show through, no matter

(03:59):
what you want him to tell you, like list no, no,
I don't need to know that. And that's I'm asking
you for something and you don't have it. I don't
need to know what you have or don't have, especially
not in the very beginning. I guess fake it till
you make it. I was just about to say that
I tell you were going to fake it? She I mean,
I said, you know, I guess like fake it till
you make it as far as like if you don't
have it, then don't act like you got something that

(04:20):
you don't have. But there's no need to put that
out there if I don't need to know that, Like
what does he supposed to do? Be like, hey, I
want to talk to you. By the way, I'm broke
as fuck, you know what you say, Like like I
don't know. I'm just saying like I feel like it's
been times when I didn't have money like that, but
I'm not going around like but it don't matter right
when women are broke, it don't really matter. But I
figured my own stuff out, Like you gotta figure out

(04:42):
how to get your money, like he said, Like I'm
not thinking about being with nobody else when I'm all
over the place and I can't even barely feed myself,
Like I felt like that's kind of weird. Like especially
I felt like maybe for a man, now, if you
was with somebody and you lost it, that's something different, right,
You don't like, yeah, we know each other, that's trash. Yeah,
if you leave that person when they down and you

(05:03):
was with them when they you trash. Like point blank.
But if they're down, they shouldn't. You should be focusing
on yourself and trying to get yourself up instead of
dating g G me you you know. I just that's
what I think. That's my opinion, because you can't be
right for nobody unless you write for yourself. That's true.
And I think one of the instincts of a woman
is is security. You know what I mean. She won't

(05:24):
to feel secure with that man, and that's physically and mentally.
So you know what I mean. If you're a man
and you can't satisfy that security where a woman is concerned,
that's considered unequally yoke. Have you ever had your heartbroken?
I think I have. You know what I mean. I
think every human being has experienced somewhat of some heartbreak.

(05:46):
So yeah, most definitely. Was it like a physical pain,
because you know, physically we feel it when we get
our hearts, women really get sick. I think mine was
more mental. I don't think I experienced physical pain. I
wonder if guys even experienced that at all. They do
they do, because I felt like they get a delayed reaction.

(06:08):
I was about to say that they don't right away.
First I'm gonna go out and just gone later. I
could do me without worry about her, and they back right,
they'd be so sick. And they' friends ain't right either,
because they'd be like, oh, let's go to the shop club.
Then put them on the girl just immediately. We're just

(06:31):
upset and then we get to the you know him,
I'm moving on right. They get it that way first,
and then we get it that way second. It's kind
of vice first something. Yeah, they always say that, you
guys have a delayed reaction. Okay. Advice for women. If
she fights in the bed, should she acknowledge it or
act like it didn't happen? Well, it depends. It would

(06:53):
be the respectful thing to do. I was like, nah,
I had a bad experience. If it's a silence phrase,
silent but deadly. Yeah. Was everybody sleep or was everybody?
Who's everybody that's just you? Yeah, everybody and they always

(07:15):
get on Okay, so yeah, I mean if we're sleep
and you you know what I mean, it's one thing,
but don't have that it might affect Try to hold that.
But it slipped out. That happens. Okay, she acknowledged it
and be like, oh, my god, I'm so sorry, or
should she just be like yeah. It was like, damn,

(07:37):
Ja sneak up on you like that. That causes problems.
I've had a guy for in the bed before guys
could do that, though I was. I was awoke and
he would sleep and it came out real quick, and
then he kind of just like, yeah, I farted in
my sleep before. I'm not gonna lie. So I've been
told I think people farting their sleep. You ever fired

(08:00):
and you're sleeping and wake you up? No sleep, And
he farted and he woke up looked at me like
I was kidding, like you're the one who did it.
I was wide away. No, you know what, it's good
if you sleep and then you wake up and act
like it was them. I feel like, damn, you want
to just fight because you think I'm sleep or if
you're gonna fint, you gotta pull the covers tight around

(08:22):
you escape what's called a Dutch oven. Right, she's doing it.
That's what put on somebody some practice. It's just an
embarrassing situation. Sometimes you gotta fight. My first don't think
that bad. I don't think your first smell like chicken
because that's all you eat, and I've been cutting back

(08:42):
on that, so now they smell like fruit and veggies.
I just think it's more at you tried to it happened, Angela.
You ever fighting and didn't think somebody was about to
come right back in and then they wouldn't work back
in the mid Did you say something? Now? I'm me
and I just try to move around. But what are
you doing here? What smell? Smell crazy when I came

(09:07):
over here? Like, no, it's all right. Now, let's talk
about arguing in public. Have you ever dated somebody and
she liked to argue in public or y'all got into it?
Are you like we're gonna talk about this later. Do
you leave the person or do you argue back? Yeah,
I'm not gonna make a fool of myself in public,
so I'm I'm gonna move on. I had a feeling, Yeah,

(09:30):
but what tell you? Would you leave or would you
tell her come on? Get in the car? Like? What
do you do? Well? I mean, I'm an accept right
there in public. Let's not do this, you know what
I mean? We can talk about this later. If she
don't hear me, then I'm I'm out. Did you make
a FOOLI yourself by yourself. Yeah, I can't. I can't
attention you don't be in Louria. I'll be saying here
like y'all don't be are you in public? No, I

(09:53):
don't do that public stuff. I argue, don't give me
argue to the bone. But like capricorns, that's aid trade
of us. We don't even and like, uh, public my hand,
not no kind of embarrassment, no kind of done on
my hand. I'm not really like the kinsey kinsey person
in public, like when we're in the house. Yeah, And
I'm not saying it's not an embarrassing thing. It's just

(10:14):
like some things are for the house and some things
are not. And that's just how I look at it.
I argue, though, yeah, we know, but not a Brogola ship.
It wasn't an argument. I knocked over the hookah and
the party was over and over through the hook I
was there all right. Now, let's say you are for

(10:37):
the young guys out there first dates, and she want
to take a picture with the two of you, like see, yeah,
I mean, if that's what they want to do, I
don't see anything wrong with that, all of them. No,
But let's say they're asking you, like, yo, gee, you
know she took a picture. Is that something that's kind
of a red flag because it's a first date and
what she's about to do with that picture? Yeah? Yeah,

(10:58):
I'm not big on pictures, So if it was me,
I'd be like, I don't really want to do the
picture thing right now unless I really spend some time
and know this person. But you know, normally trust is
something that has to be earned, So I don't want
to put no pictures out there with the wrong perception behind.
Did you see the episode of Atlanta where paper Boy

(11:19):
was dating that check and they was in the Neil
Salon and they were getting pedicures and she took a
picture of him and he got so mad he left
her there. Have you ever had somebody to take a
picture of you and you didn't want them to want
her to? Yeah? I think I have. Yeah, that's a fact.
That's a fact. What do you do where I asked
them not to do that? Against them? Everybody? Don't do

(11:45):
that again, none of y'all. Let me be an agreement
with my likeness, my image. You know, I don't like
anyone just doing whatever they want to do with my
likeness and image. When is it okay to post like
a picture with you on social media when I'm in agree?
So she got signed something? Well, I can't say that
because I mean I take pictures all the time. So

(12:06):
but I'm talking about a person or like with somebody,
your lady, Yeah yeah, could she be on the island
like here we are? Well yeah, okay, that's cool. But
a lot of times I don't like everybody knowing where
I'm at, right, you know what I mean. On a person,
I'm really private. I don't I don't trust everybody. And
I feel like if you, you know, leaving a broad

(12:29):
map to where you are all the time, the possibilities
of anything happening arise. So I like to be out
of sync with posting. That's true because if people know
you're not at home, that's how homes be getting around
when they see you somewhere, Like, okay, person at home.
I like the post after like I'll be somewhere and
like maybe I'll take a picture of my friends. We'd

(12:49):
be at the table, all of us or something, and
then we leave and I'm like, all right, I'm home already.
So I think that's not but you know, it's crazy
when you said the picture thing and like firsday. Back
in the day, people used to really like take pictures
on the first day and they would have to have
memories like and this was our first day. Yeah, but
there wasn't social media back yeah. Now in these days
with the Internet, people will see a picture and their

(13:11):
Mr screw was going on within the picture, Like they
make their one scenario. Yeah, They're put their own scenario
based on what they see and it's just like no, yeah,
all right. Now for women asked you out, should she pay? No,
I always like to do that. I think, uh thank
oh me and ship you want to be in that driver?
See yeah, I mean that's what I feel about it.

(13:33):
You ever had dated somebody or been with somebody and
they actually took you on vacation or did anything for you.
I hadn't experienced that yet. You don't think that might
be really nice? I mean, I mean I would, I
would accept it if they just really wanted to do it.
But I'm like always quick to you know, I want
to do that. You know I love paying and doing
things like I love I love paying. This. This is

(13:56):
great key, young fellas, this is great advice. They you
love paying too. That's a good thing to say on
the day. Do you like surprises? I don't. Man, you'd
be like, look, don't surprise. Yeah, I don't mind with
some surprises. As long as it's safe. You gotta do

(14:19):
the flash dances for him, like the people that come
out the flash mob and they just stopped and start
this nowhere, help me, we should do that him pay
for it. I just had a surprise birthday party. Oh

(14:40):
it was fun. You'd be surprising. Hold yeah, tell us
to set up. Well, I was at a restaurant. I
thought I was even with my kids, and my children
they're not kids, you know your d Afterwards they well,
the owner of the restaurant came and say, oh, let
me owe you the balony. So I went up. I

(15:02):
thought I was going up to look at the back
and end everybody was. But that's really nice. So you
ate first though, like you're sat down at that was
waiting up there for a minute? Is that what do
we dessert? Let me get another there like no, well
we never got to the entrede come to think of it.
Just advertise okay, all right, now, what are some things

(15:29):
that you've seen in the past In this business. That
would make a woman undateable. I know you've seen a lot. Yeah.
One of the first things that like turned me off
about the one like a woman that smoked cigarettes. You
know what I mean. I see a woman a cigarette
smoker automatically. I know, we can't do nothing about sig
of weed. Well, I don't think weed is that bais

(15:51):
you know what I mean? But cigarette, I hate the smoke.
I hate the weird look. I mean, that's just a
turn off, bad for you. It smells nasty, yeah, and
it sticks on clothes. Yeah, that's a deal break off.
Clara was going to quit smoke a cigarette, I don't know.
Playing with you, I found like it because I gotta bras,
all right, So smoke a cigarettes? What us would make

(16:11):
a woman undateable? Um? I guess if we are unequally yoked,
you know what I mean, if a nonbelievable you know,
I don't. I don't like a woman that you know,
don't reverence, no type of godly belief, you know what
I mean. That's I don't see how we can grow together.
I don't see how we can have anything. You know

(16:32):
what I mean. She may believe in the devil, I
don't believe in the devil, So what if she's a
different religion though, No, I don't think that's a bad thing.
This religion thing, you know, is a man made to
a certain extent anyway, So anything else, Uh, let's see
what does any type of drugs or anything. Yeah, I

(16:53):
don't want know pere papa ain't nothing we can do.
I don't want no pere papa coax, not a I
don't want know hard drug dealing woman. Bushrooms, I don't
know what they do to But that's not that's not
that's not a drug that you would that's like a yeah,

(17:14):
that's not a drug. That's kind of falling in the
category as we even though it's not as popular mushrooms
how they make you feel. So mushrooms are just poisonous
mushrooms and it's it kind of just makes you like
hallucinate a little something. But I think it goes by
pretty quick and people do it kind of like a
spirituality thing too, But it's not anything. It's like really mushrooms.

(17:37):
It just really grows off the ground. It is your
body fighting the poison off because they're poison. Its mushrooms
that don't sound bad. We got something you to try.
These things look a little crazy in here all right. Now,
if some of the kids out here were to ask you,

(17:58):
how do you know it's safe to take the condom off?
But with your aunts to be, when is it time
that it go? Because you got kids? Yeah, you took
the condom off. Everybody never put it on, not definitely
put it on. Even have a condom company called scrap
get the strapped. You almost need to take some tests,

(18:21):
you know what I mean? Make sure everybody is clear.
You know how guys test themselves they suck you row
and if they don't got nothing to send their girlfriend. Yeah,
we don't have to be that way, you know what
I mean? Yeah, I think definitely, in this day and time,
it would be good to look at one another's test.

(18:43):
So you've done that and like, let's get tested. Keep
it real, I would like, because I don't know anybody
that's really done that ever. I know one person Okay, yeah,
I don't know what. I don't even know one person.
That's it's ideal way to do it. That's what you're
supposed to do. But that's why I'm recommending it. Okay,

(19:05):
Like when did you know? Okay, we ain't using condoms.
You have to really believe and have faith in that
other individual. You have to know. And to me, it
was like my intuition, my spirit was comfortable with it. Now,
what if you go what if one of these kids
asked you, I went to her house. She's dope, love her, beautiful, smart, intelligent,

(19:26):
but her house was dirty. Is that a red flag? Yeah,
it's definitely a red flag. Like normally, if somebody dressed
good and you know they places dirty, it's something going
on that may not be right, you know what I mean.
I just I would have a problem with that. I
don't like dirt. I like a clean environment. So that's

(19:49):
a red flag for me. If I see a lot
of dirt, dirty bath throat, just like clutters, I feel
like where dirty. They're doing things that's dirty, you know
what I mean? Like if you're not taking care of
your surroundings and how you left you I didn't carry
maybe you was rushing, you got some clothes that that's different,

(20:12):
Like you didn't take out your trash. But if you
have bathtub is filthy. That's when I clean my bathtub
like three, four, five times a week, Like that's nasty
to me. I would hate to go on somebody bath room.
I clean my bathtub when I clean my bath room,
even if I hadn't used it, because just dust. Yeah,
we're speaking from a woman. I dated a guy before
and I went to his house and it was disgusting

(20:33):
and I was completely turned off. That's what I cleaned
it because, I mean I had to make myself comfortable.
I didn't deal with him after, but I did. I know,
I clean leave his house, Yeah, because I was out
of town and I had to stay there. Yeah, so
it was either clean up to make myself feel comfortable,
or the hotel room or on the plane. No, no, no, no,

(20:54):
it was in a different state. I went to him.
We have been seeing each other for a while, and
he had it and had a oka it was dirty. Yeah,
it just was. I mean, it wasn't like it was dirty.
Are you more likely to have a woman come to
your house before you go to her house? And how
likely are you to go to a woman's house, Like
you know, sometimes it's an awkward feeling to go to
someone's house if you don't for the first time, because

(21:16):
you never know, you feel a little out of place. Yeah,
I don't. I don't like being in in environments where
unsecure environments, so I would be health attentive about going
anywhere where it wasn't secure. But about having someone come
to your house, like when you were younger, would you
have um if you were dating somebody? When did you
say okay? I never? I never allowed. I had. I

(21:38):
had to know you very well to bring you to
my place. You know what I mean. I'd rather get
a room or do anything, and I didn't. Very few
people had opportunity to know where I laid my head.
I'm so glad you said that. So now because I
have a question, y'all, how do you think a woman
should date a man every time they link up or
something like that, it's in a room in a hotel here? Yeah,

(22:02):
you don't think that that? And you said I can't
come to your house height, how should that woman felt out?
How should she felt like, all right, I'm gonna let
you all the way in. If every time we have
sex we're going to a hotel and you have a
big house. Yeah, No, I don't think that's fair either.
I think at some point, you know, it's a graduation phase.
But I think in the beginning it's a feeling out

(22:24):
you know what I mean. You want to know, you
want to know you can trust that person. I'm sure
they want to know if they can trust you. But
if you're already there, then that's a matter of a
bunding in some kind of capacity. So yeah, I don't
think it's for ever, but it is a process. And
what if she says to you, like, you know, I
don't like meeting you in hotels now where, Well, I

(22:46):
mean that's a prerogative and she don't like that. We
can figure out something else, But it don't mean it
has to be my place. Yeah, definitely. You know I
was that way in the beginning. I never let nobody
know where I laid my head. I felt like you
should be like I feel like the people listening to
need to take heed to this sting. You shouldn't just
let any and everybody comes to your place. Now, I

(23:07):
from experience to know that guys like to show off.
You know they live in a nice condo where they
have a big old house and you know they yeah,
come over then, but it's just like still, like you
need to make sure that you know who this woman is,
or make sure that you know that she ain't gonna
be sending nobody to your house when you out of town. Yeah,
or if or if things go sour, then she's sending

(23:28):
people or things or whatever to your Like, you never
really know where people's mindset are, so you shouldn't just
bring anybody to where you live at. What about letting
a woman cook for you? Oh? I love to eat
as long as she clean, you know what I mean,
can cook because it's hard for me to just eat
bad cooking. But she got to force yourself to do

(23:48):
it to be polite. Uh no, I couldn't. If I
don't like it, I'm not gonna force it down. But
I'm not saying I'm not hungry no more. You're gonna
be like it doesn't taste that. I think I'm being honest, honest.
I see him, and I see him in a very calm,
nice way, saying, listen, here, sweet her, you put forth
the effort, but it's just not what I'm going out.
I slaved all day. This is so cayful. Maybe you

(24:11):
need to try another recipe. Actually favorite, this is mine.
You'll see everyone loves this. Okay, Well, my collageude honest person,
trudely honest. So I let her know. I almost can smell.
I mean, listen, we eat with our eyes and our
noses before we taste the absolutely. What's your favorite dish?

(24:32):
I'm my soul food man, you know what I mean.
I love some soul food. I love sea food. If
I had to choose my favorite dish, it would be
my grandmother beans and rice. Yeah, I love beans, and
that's interesting. Yeah, I would never have anticipated. Yeah it
was Sunday. She make him from me if I'm in town.

(24:52):
That's cool. And I wish you give up that recipe something.
She re esteems you with that recipe. Ain't giving up
that recipe. I get that recipe up. Dog, you got
down because I can do a little something, but I
never do it. Look like a lot of men can't cook,
but most of them I imprison you know what? Yeah,

(25:19):
but cook for anybody? Yes, what did you make? Spaghettist?
That's all guys. That doesn'tunt turkey bacon? Anybody cook cook eggs.
Everybody can't cook eggs. That ain't now everybody can't cook bacon.
I don't eat that stuff. But when I used to,

(25:40):
people burn it up and all that you'd be burning
your bacon. Let me see, I like my bacon. I
like my turkey bacon, crispy, kind of burnt bacon. Not
at all, not at all, My god, I ate pork
the other bag sometimes. Yeah. I took a bite of
a pork hot dog, he said. The person that gave
it to me told me was turkey, and I believe them.
And first bite, first bite, I knew you could buy it.

(26:05):
By three or four hours later, my stomach was doing flips.
But you would stick the wholes. No, no, no, no no no.
I only ate the one bite. And then he said,
you don't need hot dogs? Hours later? Why not hot dogs?
But your report, Well, it's hard for me. Smell. Have
you ever seen how hot dogs I made? Never like
hot dogs for some reason. How does that? It's gross?
The process of Yeah, but you know what, I only

(26:29):
eat hot dogs if they're deep fried, were on the grill.
I can't eat hot dogs. You fry hot deep fried
hot dogs? Yes, but it did frier. Oh my, I
had in Atlanta for the first time. When I lived
in Atlanta, it was this place called the Chicken Shack.
And I used to go to Chicken Shack all the
time and check in Jersey, we call it the Chicken
The chicken spots. Yeah yeah, no, no, no. It was

(26:51):
really called the Chicken Shack and it was a little
teeny place off one SI six off Camperton Roll and I.
We used to go there and get deep fried hot
dogs that sound like an attack. It was so good
and then you die. I had jugs of years. I
haven't had pork since I was in sixth grade. I
haven't had years. It wasn't that many. But the only
time I've ever eating pork I was I eat it

(27:12):
by accident every single time I got sick. I'm with
you want a seafood, That's all I eat. I'm a prescutarian.
I'm trying to get to be a vegetarian, but I
just love crab legs too much. I don't need see
food at all. Yeah, we know you're missing out chicken,
vegetables and chicken. That's it. What's your sign? I love scorpio.

(27:33):
Scorpio man are the worst. They're freaky, freaky. I didn't
one scorpio y no, no, no, I would say this.
They are very freaky, but they also cheat so much.
Oh my god, they are the worst. And they'd be
lying about headed. I had ex boyfriend was a scorpio,

(27:53):
and he lied about everything, his how many kids he had.
I was like, damn, how are you lying on you?
He told me that this is the dumbest lot ever.
So he had a baby by this check right. And
then the woman was pregnant when me and him started dating.
But he told me that she was pregnant by somebody else.
So I believe him, right, because why would you just
make that up? His baby mom was having a baby,

(28:15):
but she was with somebody else. Then after she had
the baby or whatever, she called me one day I
was in college and she was like, yeah, tell him
he needs to buy his kids some pampers. I said,
he only has one. She was like, um, no, we
have two. Then he told me, after I confronted him
about it, that it wasn't his. It was his brother's baby.
Who lies about something, no experience? And yeah, and then

(28:43):
everybody he was twenty seven years old, right, but he
told me he was twenty four. So then when I
found out because one of his boys, you know, snitched
on him, because that's what guys do. Um. He told
me he said, you know, he'd be lying about his age,
and I was like, I was I asked him he
was like, you know, I went to jail for three years.
So since they took those three years in my life,

(29:06):
dirt back God, he said. He says he's twenty four
because they took three years from him. The scorpio, I
don't think that. I've never been that for geminis. I'm
a Gemini and people who be all crazy have one
crazy persona people in one sign. The sign is actually
to this great. Do you care about signs? Not really,

(29:30):
not really. I don't get caught up in it, but
I think there is some kind of validity there. But no,
you don't never ax. But I don't govern what we're
gonna do or what we have based on Yeah, I
don't think it's that real. I got. I know a
lot of scorpios. My dad was a scorpio. Like I
wouldn't say liar, I would say arrogant. I would say

(29:54):
a little, short tempered, maybe more than a little. And
I would say I don't From dealing with scorpios, I
would say that they're very freaky. Yeah, and that's it, No,
I said, Yeah, he was. I don't really know many
sco men, but I know a lot of scupio women.
And that's a living opportunists, the same ex boyfriend. Though

(30:17):
something in your buck actually made me think of him
when I was reading it, even though this was a
long time ago, when you were talking about driving to
go to prison to visit your uncle and how you
saw things and it was like getting out of the neighborhood.
He was the type of person that had never left
his neighborhood growing up, and when he used to come
visit me in college, he was like, Damn, I wish
I would have seen some of this when I was younger.
I left my neighborhood because they probably would have made

(30:37):
me want to go to school or like do more.
And because he was like one of those unsuccessful drug dealers,
you know that it was a low level. I think
I know a lot of people from where I'm from,
a Philly that never leave Philly, right, But it really
does And yeah, it's crazy to me too. I think

(30:59):
that people should get out and experience the world, not
just outside of your city, but they should experience other
countries and other cultures. Because from the traveling that I
did over the past decade, I feel like it's taught
me so much about life. And everybody don't have the
opportunity or even the thing like, look, when we were younger, right,
we didn't have the internet like we have now where
you can see things in other countries, so you have

(31:21):
no idea Like me growing up in Brooklyn and Flatbush,
I never really left my neighborhood when I was younger,
So I'm thinking we're chilling doing good until I left,
and so we wasn't really doing that good. But see
that's back that. Nowadays, there's no excuse, like you have
access to the internet, don't bottom sneak as this month,
save up your money and go somewhere and save it

(31:41):
for memory. And one thing that people don't know is
it's not as expensive to travel as as people actually think.
If you're playing a happy playing ahead, you know, Groupan
got some nice trips um. But if you're playing ahead
and you research where you're going and that type of
chang and a lot of hotels are all inclusive, so
you don't really have to have a whole lot of
money once you get there. This been on food and
you know stuff like that, unless you like, you know,

(32:02):
trying to travel on the excursions. But I honestly think
that people should get out more. I think that it
is good for the I mean it's yeah, but if
you're a young kid and you don't have a job
and you're just in school, like because I didn't, you know,
experience that I didn't even I think my first vacation
was when I, um, when I graduated from college and

(32:24):
I went away. One of my friends, UM her family
had like a time share, and so all I had
to do was buy my flight and that was like
the first time I ever went on. And when I
was growing up, my grandmother had a house in Whitewood
and every summer from as long as I can remember,
until I was older to say I didn't want to go,
which was like, but that's not that far from But
to me, I was going thatwhere. Yeah, that was my

(32:47):
you know, that was my traveling. And I didn't realize
until I grew up and started growing, I mean started
actually traveling and getting on planes and going to other
places that I was really only an hour away, you know,
I was only an hour two away from home. But
as a little kid, like that was huge to me
that every summer I left home and where how I was.
I was like one of those they sent me down south.

(33:09):
I was one of them kids, they're like something. I
was in North Carolina, I was in South Carolina. I
was in everywhere but home with my mother, and she
was like, your ass is bad. You're going down there
with your auntie or your godmother or whatever. And I
would be there the whole summer. But she would still
take us our trek style. We would go to Like
my mother, I'm not even gonna say like she had

(33:30):
a whole bunch of money, but she figured it out
so she would drive like I was dead. See my
mother drive like to Florida by herself. We had three
girls in the car, and she would take us to
Disney like she would make a stand. Ever been in
Disney room? Men, Like for your kids, you got to
do some some stuff like that. Sometimes I ever went
where the island and my mom is from Mansterrat. That's
the only place I've ever been growing up. Was the

(33:52):
first time you left the country? Oh Um? I was grown.
I was grown and I went on a family vacation.
Which is where did I go? I think to Europe?
First trip? Did you feel like out of place? Because
I know the first time even the country, it feels mad, weird,
like even with the phone service not being able to
use your phone like that and not being able to

(34:13):
order what you want and you don't know what's going on.
I don't really feel out of place for my eyes,
you know, witnessing the churches in the history over that
gave me a whole different perspective of everything. And I'm like, whoa.
And you know, reading my history books, all these different
places and things that always thought I would never wasn't
important to me, I would never see. And here I

(34:35):
am walking at a museum where the great Grave is
and I'm like, whoa, this is interesting. But I think traveling,
you know, for me, getting out of my hood gave
me a whole different outlook and caused my brain cells
to open up and start dreaming beyond you know what
I even imagine. So that was one of us to

(34:56):
be able to Just that penitentiary ride that I took
with my with my grandmother caused me. That's why I
winning purchased a thousand acre ranch. The seed was planning
in me from looking at laying right into the penitentiary.
So that's how powerful that can be, you know what,
and make you want to do different things. I remember
they used to do this trip called Brooklyn, Vermont where

(35:17):
they would take people from you know, Brooklyn and then
take you snowboarding in Vermont. And that's something there, like
you know who does that? Like I never even knew
what that really was until we went on those trips
as motivating and it makes you want to see more.
So it makes you want to do more thing exactly
exactly everybody need to get up out the area and

(35:38):
comfort zone and goes, you know, experience other thing. I agree. Oh,
and I want to ask you have you ever had
beef like when you were younger over a girl, like
really not fun with somebody, because I know in the
book you talk about your son and little Wayne, about
Jazz and Little Wayne having they're falling out, But has
that ever happened to you? No, No, I don't recall
that well. I remember in high school, I mean in

(36:00):
elementary school, I had now this girl named Sharon Staley. Yeah,
I don't know, I got nineteen kids, I don't know.
But I went to a school in third Ward. I'm
from fifth War. Transferred to school from third Ward, and
when I left, this guy was picking on or pulling

(36:23):
her hair. So when I came back to fifth Ward,
I got right on his ass. Did you have a
crush on her? I did? I did? I mean from
Kenny go onto the sixth grade? Was she grateful? Like
thank you? Yeah? She was quiet, she was innocent, and
her parents was glad. I had came back to fifth ward,
but she was being arrest. But what you had a

(36:43):
crush on her? Y'all? Did with your girlfriend? Now? That
was my years? Yeah, No, we call ourself being girlfriend
and boyfriends. He didn't really mean nothing, you know, because
I was like, I just mean, don't pull her haircause
I whipped that. Ask you remember the person you had
a crush on when you was in elementary school? I
remember to his personal last name, just like how you
don't yet? Day was John Days. I was in love

(37:07):
and like if I've seen him right now and I
know what that if he's on Facebook? Like I like that, brother?
What is it? What was he? He was light skinning,
sounds like he was Hispanic, he was mixed, he was
he was black in Spanish. Oky liked him? Yeah, I

(37:27):
liked myself right, little battle myself Kendrick voice, What would
you say for the guys out there listening? What are
some of the qualities that you should look for in
a good woman. I think the number one quality you
should look for is uh, you want to find somebody
that's spiritually grounded, you know what I mean. You want

(37:48):
to know you want to check her belief system, you
know what she believe in, not whatsover religion, but what
can you be or without knowing a woman's belief system
has feel about God. That's number one. And from there,
you know, I would go on to you want to
tap into something that you attracted to, you know what

(38:08):
I mean. You don't want to try to build something
with somebody that you're gonna be looking at all these
other women trying to find something you won't and a woman,
so you need to make sure you're attracted to this
woman from a physical perspective mentally, you know what I mean.
You want to make sure you y'all connect, y'all equally, yoke,
can have a conversation, can relate to one another. What's

(38:31):
her dreams in life? What's your dreams in life? You
know what I mean? You have all these real conversations
to see if y'all even on the same page. But
if she was like, I'm going to start a makeup line,
would you invest or just gonna ask the I think, yeah,
I think it's a beautiful thing to u to have
a woman with an entrepreneur mine, you know what I mean.

(38:52):
But if you don't think it's a good idea though, well,
if you don't think it's a good idea, I'm a
I'm the type. I'm gonna want to see the budget.
You don't have that budget, then we know you know
the possibilities of your plan you I mean, you ain't

(39:14):
got a role map to get there. Then it's just
a conversation. So a certain things, you know, you have
to real conversation. You have to have to know if
this can even become a reality. What is that left
in life that you want to do that you haven't
accomplished yet? I don't know. You know, I accomplished all
of my my goals that I want to at least

(39:34):
my material goals, not really other than uh, I guess
I want to be a better person, so you know
what I mean. That's a goal to just be better,
Just to be better and to spend quality time with
you know, family and friends, things like that. But for
as material goals, I've pretty much accomplished everyone I really wanted,

(39:56):
So of course, maybe some new ones may pop up.
But I'm at a place, you know, in my life
where I'm just something like cruise control. I just want
to enjoy every day, you know, leave it how I
want to enjoy to the fullest, and you know, share
it with others. Do you ever be goofy at home?
Like trying these dances? Do things like that? All right, well,

(40:26):
thank you so much, Jay Prince. You actually came into
lip service. Hey, there's a pleasure on you know what
I mean. I've never been in a situation like, yeah,
you're not mad, right, this is different. We're not gonna
get no call. Like we all were nervous. You nervous.
I was nervous. I was like, I don't know what
the funk about the second I always defends somebody. I said, listen,

(40:48):
don't say nothing. I c verite, colorful personality. Great lip service. Yeah,
we're done. It is my service.
