The range of colors that can be reproduced by an RGB-based video display is well-defined for standard definition, high definition, ultra-high definition, and high dynamic range content. A court in Germany ruled that TCL engages in deceptive marketing when it uses the "QLED" moniker on TVs that don't actually use quantum dots. The ruling applies only to certain European model lines, but could it also apply to any US models?
