Andy Z is building a home theater in his basement with a JMGO N1 Ultra projector mounted on the ceiling. Unfortunately, there's a big AC duct running across the ceiling; if he puts the projector in front of the duct, the image is too small for his screen, but if he puts it behind the duct, the image is too big. Representing the color-reproduction capabilities of a video display in a two-dimensional graph is highly problematic; usually, the graph does not reveal a true and complete picture (pun intended) of what's going on. A new approach to this problem, called gamut rings, provides a much more accurate and complete representation of what a display can do.
