Is there such a thing as TOO MUCH excitement?

Last week I felt my central nervous system shutting down. I was on sensory overload and my brain processes were spinning like a rainbow wheel on a computer that was just given too much information all at once. Was this due to stress?
Nope.

All of the new information I had received was good— really good. I wanted to celebrate ALL of it— but I didn’t no where to begin.
I desperately needed to decompress.
Spinning rapidly was only fun as a child.

Whirling from too much excitement doesn’t feel so different from whirling from too much trauma… and it can still make you lose your stomach. Cognitive thinkers do not simply move to the side lines. We march in with our explanations and excuses as to why we can’t function properly, not realizing that we have given up our power to someone else or some THING else. We are systemically contributing to our own carousel of paradigms, ad nauseam.
Stop the Madness. You can do it.

You always get to choose your own personal spiritual approach to either accelerating or decelerating the momentum.

The destination? Enlightenment. It doesn’t matter how you get there, who you feel you are connecting with or what you believe is out there. All of it works.

Some people pray. Others meditate. I personally connect with my higher source by journaling. Writing in a stream of consciousness gets me into a state of natural energetic flow. I can ask my higher source anything I want, and before the impetus of my pencil stops I find that I’ve downloaded a new revelation.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
