Lately, I have been incredibly inspired and deeply moved by the rising sisterhood in our nation. Through the work I have been doing with RISE: Resist, Inspire, Speak, Empower– An Activist/Leader Bootcamp, my involvement with PUSH: People Unwilling to Sit on their Haunches, and the many forward thinking discussions that I’ve been having with women of influence… I’d say… we’re all going to be okay. =)
What kind of DRAMATIC IMPACT will you make?

As agents of change, we must be willing to acknowledge and call ourselves out on the thoughts we have that limit our ability to evolve. As women, we were conditioned for so long to judge one another. Historically, we have sized one another up and then used these negative belief patterns to tear each other down. It’s now more important than ever that we pay attention to the belief system that we are operating with and be more conscious of our biases.
We are at the precipice of CHANGE.

I have never been more clear about where we are headed, and I am absolutely thrilled at the prospect of what is coming up next for all of us. Women everywhere are creating meaningful conversations that specifically meet our challenges in regards to oppression, gender disparity, body shaming, gender discrimination, and a lack of representation in our nations legislation.
The time for sitting on the sidelines is over.

We all have a place in this movement. Whether it’s to find your voice and use it to create deeply effective messaging, or to support and elevate women in leadership roles, WE ALL HAVE THE POWER TO SHAPE THE FUTURE that we wish to leave to our children. There is an increased demand for women’s voices. Now more than ever, we must harness our truths and tell our stories.
On Today’s Show

One of the ways in which we can all contribute to this encouraging movement is to create greater recognition of women and their accomplishments.

Today I will be interviewing an award winning filmmaker who has so powerfully stepped into her message: “My Power of One”. Sue Vicory is a terrific example of a woman who is creating a new blueprint for women-based projects in film as well as contributing to the increase of opportunities for women to share their stories.
