She is running for the seat against incumbent, Dave Severin.
Mark's in-studio guest was Shain Crank, Republican Candidate for Regional Office of Education District #20. Shain shared his vision and ideas for the office if elected during the March 17th primary. Crank, from Harrisburg is the current Superintendent/Principal at the Galatia Grade School District.
Michelle Scott of Fairfield, Outreach Coordinator and Mariah Hayes from Benton, the Executive Director for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) For Kids were Mark's in studio guest as they both shared what the program is all about and the program is new to Wayne County. Volunteers are needed to be an advocate for children who have experienced abuse and neglect and speak on their behalf in juvenile court.
Dr. Beth Rister, Regional Superintendent of Schools and Sarah Emery, Assistant Superintendent from the Regional Office of Education #20 were Mark's in-studio guest as they discussed education in general and the challenges facing today's schools and teachers. Sarah is also running for the Regional Superintendent position in the upcoming March primary as Dr. Rister will be retiring in June, 2027.
