Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, Ozzie Osbourne has performed for the very last time
as Black Sabbath put on an epic reunion so for
more than forty thousand fans from more. We were joined
by our entertainment editor Peter Ford right here live in
the studio.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Good to see you, Pete. There were concerns Ozzie wasn't
going to be able to make this at all. How
did he go?

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Yeah, Well, like any situation where you have very serious illness,
there's good days, bad days. We know he's had to
cancel things in recent times, so everybody was hoping this
would go off without a hitch and it did beautifully staged.
You know, Sharon oversaw everything and because of his mobility issues,
he was in the back throw and they brought him up.
See him coming up there from underneath the stage. So

(00:39):
he wasn't able to leave that throw. And he can
walk a little bit, but you obviously don't want to
risk him falling on stage. So they staged it magnificently
and he was in really good form. I was so
wonderful to see because most older performers don't get to
have that big farewell moment, and not a lot of
them don't really want that well moment, they wanted.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
To go on forever and ever. In his case, he's clever.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Enough to know he can't because of Parkinson's he is
slowing down. So I'll show you a little bit of
Ozzy Osbourne in action.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Yeah it's an acquiet taste, right, but.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Yeah, And it was the full circle thing because he
was back in Birmingham with the original Black Sabbath lineup,
literally a five minute walk from his home where he
grew up. And if you go online and see his
version of Mama, I'm coming Home, which has almost done
ballad style, it'll make you cry.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
And Kelly was wrong.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
His daughter was there.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
Yeah, well Kelly did. She obviously was so proud of
her dad watching it. She put this message up on
social media. Thank you to everybody who came to the
show last night.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Thank you to everybody who was involved in the show
last night.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
You have no idea what it did for my dad.
It was one of the most magical experiences of my
entire life. And if I keep talking, I'm probably gonna
end up crying again.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Well, I think she did cry because she kind of
threw a bit of shade on the event because her
partner Sid proposed to her. Now they've been together several years,
they have one child together, and what's the chances? There
was camera rolling just as the proposal was made.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Haven't hurt.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Kelly?

Speaker 2 (02:41):
You know I love you more than anything more. We
have you spend the rest of my life in front
of your family and all of our friends. Kelly? Will
you marry me? So? How sweet is that? There with

(03:15):
mum and dad? It's lovely? Wasn't good? Lovely?

Speaker 1 (03:19):
But what every girl wants to be proposed to while
she's wearing a hoodie? Maybe not?

Speaker 2 (03:25):
She seems much form. Oasis kicked off for their reunion tool.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Yeah, well that was the other big music event taking
place in the UK that there was actually in Wales
and Cardiff. They've now done two shows. They've gone off
without incident. It's kind of in some ways a bit adicate.
So they also a very good form.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
People are rating about the shows.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
They are still very much separate entities because they have
they staying separate hotels, they have separate green rooms backstage,
or respective people, respective bands. At some point out there,
it's got to reach in explosion point, doesn't it. Hopefully
not before They just for a reference.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Yeah, Jarlie and I don't talk to each other before
the show. You have separate offices and separate green rooms.
That is true, honest works magic, Yeah, yeah, it keeps
everything fresh.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
But hire Oasis in concept in cardiaf fresh as a
big wood.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
I know it's only fine vision, but they actually sound
really good.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
They do sound good, don't they.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Yeah, they did a lot of rehearsal and it wasn't
just like let's rehearse the day before.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
They really put the work in and that sounds great.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
This was nice scary Spice Okay, Melb got married over
the weekend.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
It was med to do.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
I spied a horse and carry.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
I know exactly, and at Saint Paul's Cathedral in London,
no less, third time lucky. We hope Rory seems like
a nice guy. He doesn't seem to be desperate for
the publish in the attention, you know this last one
step from Bellafonte just love detention and publicity way.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Too much for his own good. They just so key, Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Yes, it wasn't the pumpkin coach from Kath and Kim though,
was it? But the only Spice guirl who was actually
there was Emma Bunton Baby's spice. The others all certainly
sent good wishes. They all had other commitments, so let's
hope this all works out and is absolutely lovely. Well,
if she had an overseas commitment, they didn't specify what exactly.
Munch in France, Melcy had a gig. She was doing

(05:33):
a big music Yeah that's fair enough.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
So yeah, but there you go.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Hopefully it's plain sailing and happy times ahead.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Can I ask you to two of my dearest friends
on morning television. I've got my big birthday coming up,
sixty first in December.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
I'd like to request a gift. I'd like Bozzi's bat Throne.
The Throne if you could make that happen here, but
we could lower. You don't need the real one, like
something from offline, but you guys can make that happen.
I'd really appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Onto it.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
We'll work on that, okay,
