Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, the historical or female space flight with the lights
of Katie Perry and Gail King on board, has landed
safely back on Earth.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Well for more John Boy, our galactic correspondent, it's about
aviation expert Pete. The journey was less than the commercial
break weagees took exactly.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Look, maybe we're taking this all out of proportion, but
let's report it with enthusiasm is for the moment. So
what happened was all the celebrities were there too of
them obviously there's Oprah there actually on the spot to
say good luck to Gail and wish her well as
they take off, and then the traditional ringing of the
bell as we've seen in years gone by as they

(00:42):
all get on board the spacecraft. That's what they have
to do. That's tradition. You've got to stick by it.
So obviously everything has gone to plan. You know, it
was eleven minutes. As we've talked about, everything went really
well and in fact for Katy Perry of course, I
mean incredible. That's her tour set list. You've got to
squid obviously to be able to see it. With her

(01:02):
World tour coming up, and she's copying flax for that. Yeah, yeah,
she is a lot of it.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Actually about like self promotion.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
What I guess in a sense it was, I mean
what else? Sorry, so go on, But yeah she is.
And of course she now goes into the history books
as being the first performer to ever actually sing in
out of Space, which is not a bad claim to
find it. You'll be a pub trivia question now forever.
More so. In fact, Gail King talked about the fact

(01:32):
that Katie got and got up and actually sang the
song while they were up there. Take a look at
Gail King.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
But the best part was when we got back in
our seats after zero g's Katie sang what a wonderful
world she did? She sang, what a wonderful I see dreams?
Oh yes, yes, yes, because we've been asking you to
sing all the time and she wouldn't and she wouldn't.
And then because everybody said sing raw, sing fire, and

(02:00):
she said, it's not about me. I wanted to talk
about the world.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
Is that it's not about me.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
That's that's like the singing beautiful, It's beautiful. Holding up
your set list for your upcoming tour. Here's the set list.
Don't you think that's a little bit over the top.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
No, no, it's exactly why they would like it. Doesn't
seem a surprise to me.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Singing was beautiful.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Yeah, she could have given you know, the web address
for Ticketmaster exactly something. The funniest part was Jeff Bezos
actually watched this carefully. We've done a little blue circle,
red circle. Oh that's Jeff Bezos so excited he fell.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
He's clearly not used to gravity.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Yeah, so there you go. But look, thankfully they're all back,
and I think Gail King will be an interesting one
when she talks in more depth about it and what
it was meant to achieve, if anything, other than just
the chance for celebrities to go into space. But there
has been backlash. If you go online, there's a lot
of people saying, what a waste of money, what a
waste of resources, egos out of control, et cetera. In fact,

(03:12):
one of the higher profile people to go public can
actually say this is the actress and model Emily Ratcher.
I'm going to Rabokowski and yeah, she's not holding back
to take a look at this.

Speaker 5 (03:26):
This is beyond pericy thing that you care about mother Earth,
and it's about mother Earth and you're growing up in
a spaceship that is built and paid for by a
company that's single handedly destroying the planet at the state
of the world, and think about how many resources went
into putting these women into space for for what was
the marketing there. I'm disgusted, literally, I'm disgusted.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
And she raises a fair point inasmuch as there have
been seventy one women through the decades who have gone
into space, there really were astronauts and cosmonauts. These were
celebrity passengers, they were space tourists. They had two days
training which basically consisted of how to get into the
capsule and get out of the capsule and how to

(04:09):
put the seatbelt on. Literally that that's what the training was.
They really weren't crew per se, So we should keep
it perspective and not diminish what real female astronauts and
cosmonauts have done.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
So they were the best fitting.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
Have you ever seen.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
They were tailored to within an introd. They were not
there long enough and.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Makeup to wear off well exactly, and some of them
had jewelry off.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
So is anyone else like I didn't want any harm
to come to clearly, but was anyone else hoping remember
the astronauts who went up for like Flida, Did we
want that to happen here?

Speaker 3 (04:51):
Like them to get not unless.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Yeah, like it was great, would have been a great
doco on.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
Yeah, well it's like an Alan movie, you know, the
old celebrities all and the Towering Inferno and they've got
to send someone.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
We've got the big Brother celebrity Big Brother House for that.
Let's sen brand new trailer starring Blake Lively has been released.
How she had time to starting anything else?

Speaker 3 (05:16):
Well, I guess this one was probably in the camp
for a while because it's about to drop next month
and it's another simple failure and.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
This one, yeah, okay.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
What will be interesting is to see, you know, our
people gone right off her? Will they just simply refuse
to watch something because she's in it, because she is
in the court of public opinion, She's getting a lot
of negative stuff for the whole justin Beldoni thing in
the way it's playing out. But anyway, here is a
little of the trailer for this movie. Why am I here?

Speaker 5 (05:48):
Do you think I want to make you pay for
stealing my life?

Speaker 1 (05:54):
Who's the lucky guy? Dante Rossano? Old Money it was
a great.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
Deal that you're here.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
I don't trust her for a manner.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
What is the game here.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Too?

Speaker 1 (06:12):
Old friends, new beginnings and not getting poisoned.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Yeah, and obviously in the next few weeks she'll be
out on the publicity trail and inevitably there will be
questions about what's going on.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
I reckon people are going to see it because apparently
there's real life drama between Anna Kendrick and Blake. So
I'm going along just s ssion if you can pick
up on that. In the movie The Boats, something for everyone.
