Kylie Minogue fever I took over the city. Let's get
some more hero entertainment edit of Peter Ford, Happy Monday

weekend to sell out shows a Madison Square Garden.

She saw that lots of venues right around the world,
Madison Square Garden is one of those iconic venues anyone
in the music game wants to play there and wants
to sell it out.

She did it twice.

A reception held for her at the top of the
Empire State Building as you can see you there lovering
every minute of it, put on by the Australi at
high commission, and then probably the ultimate tribute to have
the Empire State Building lit up in green and gold
to welcome you to town.

So, I mean, this is really something else.

And Kylie has played New York many times before, but
she's played as much smaller venues because what has happened
in the last two years is Kylie has got a
gone mainstream in America. What was essentially a cult following
and a gay following thanks to Padhan Pa Dam has
become so much more than that, and that results in

selling out to Madison Square Garden shows. Might add another
very terrific Melbourne talent did that earlier this year as well.
The producer and DJ Dom Dollar also sold out two shows.

But this weekend's was Kylie and people raving online about it,
saying it's one of the best shows that she's done.
And you know, with forty years in the business, I
think even she would recognize that cracking this one at
fifty six years old, when the textbook says you're not
meant to be doing that, particularly if you're a woman.

She did it. She never has quite quite played by
their rule book. Yeah, that's absolutely fantastic, Good honor.

Elton John has shared an emotional health update Peak. Yes,
so we've talked about this a couple of times over
the last six months when Elton has spoken about his
failing eyesight. This is the result of an eye infection
and in the latest interview he's talked about the fact
he can no longer watch his kids play sport, which
he's always wanted to do. He can no longer really

watch and enjoy television anymore, and of course we know
he's had trouble reading lyrics now. Amazingly people have saw
him on Saturday Night Live over the week edb But no,
he's still a powerhouse when it comes to performing and
belding away on that piano. So the talent has diminished,
but you certainly you have to feel for him, and

it's you know, the old thing.

Of health is wealth.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
All that money that he has, and obviously any potential
cure or fix is available to him, but they just
can't do it.

And this is the first interview which.

I've heard him talk about it where there's been a
real sense of finality about it. He's not talking about
there's something they might be able to do down the track.

He's really now talking about accepting it as it is.

So, yeah, we certainly admire the fact that he can
still get out there and put on great shows.

John bon Jovi has given some details about whether he'd
returned to the stage. Yeah, so he underwent throat surgery
a couple of years ago in fact, and as a
result of that he hasn't been on the road. Now,
any singer is terrified of any kind of throat surgery
because obviously there's a chance, or be it a slim one,

that something can go wrong.

I guess probably one of the better known.

Examples of that is Julian Andrews, never able to sing
again after her surgery wasn't quite perfect. But it does
seem in the case of John bon Jovi, it's gone
really well. And in this grab I'll show you now
it looks like he's pretty keen to get on the road,
or be it in a limited capacity.

Have a look at this, you do you like to
get back out on the road. Yeah, in a controlled manner,
regardless of you know, how great I can sing or not.

I don't think there's a going to be a two
hundred and forty show tour again.

Stones and U two and Bruce and you know that
kind of thing, I could do that. So what he's

artists that he cited there are doing and that is
a limited number of shows per year. See, you're not

room to hotel room.

Gigs and people will come to you at one central point.

So it'll be good to see bon Jovia back on

When is it's usually? Is it May? Yes, it's coming
up in early May.

And one of the people have they saying has been
invited is Rachel Zegler, of course, somewhat controversial at the moment,
and snow White obviously is tanked terribly and she's been
getting a lot of criticism and blowback.

I don't know if.

She's going to be there though, because she will actually
be in rehearsal for Avita, which is opening in London,
which thankfully for her, is a real lifeline. It's a
parachute for her because you know, this could be a
new chapter for her if she can nail doing a Vita,
which is a big sing you know, she can redeem
herself and her reputation. Other people invited include Lizzo and

Shakira and a lot of the of course, don't forget
when you get invited by Anna Wintour, which would be
a lovely thrill to open up that invite and see
you're included. Because it's not a free ticket, you're paying
top dollar to actually go. You're getting the chance to
go and attend, so it's not actually an invite per se.
I guess it's an invite to hand over your credit
card and then you can attend.
