Speaker 1 (00:00):
Could you clarify for everybody? What is me?
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Harti's we like the pate They look like pirates of
the ocean.
Speaker 3 (00:06):
Could you say it again?
Speaker 1 (00:07):
Though?
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Because of me, hearties. Sorry, That's what I'm saying is
Rabber Cardiv's court case has come to an end and
the jury has reached a verdict.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
Let's get some more. Hisel entertainment editor Pedifoo, Hi, Pete,
what's the latest there?
Speaker 4 (00:19):
She has been cleared. Now that's the word that is used.
You don't say not guilty. This is a civil case
and it was done before a jury, and just a
short time ago she was cleared. So this was the
case that stems back to twenty eighteen when it was
alleged a female bodyguard basically not working for her.
Speaker 5 (00:38):
She was by profession. She was a bodyguard outside.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
Knob's diatrician's office where both were attending an appointment. That's
where it is alleged that she scratched and spat at her.
But as I say, she is now being cleared. Just
well backtrack in a minute. But just let me show
you this. This is just a short time ago, outside
the courtroom.
Speaker 6 (01:00):
Looking for millions of dollars like the defendant said, that's
not what we're looking for. We're really looking for a
simple amount of money that can make her whole. Give
her something that's fair so she can get some form
of compensation, some form of closure, and move on, Miss Almonds.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
So, Peter, I assume that was the that was the
lawyer for.
Speaker 5 (01:30):
Yeah, that was the lawyer for the bodyguard.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
And that was the interesting thing that I thought that
you know, you hear these cases in America where they
want forty million dollars because they got a chipped fingernail. Well,
in this case, he actually said, no, we only want
one hundred dollars a day since this event as compensation,
which I think worked out to something like eighty thousand
or something. So, you know, if they weren't after a
(01:53):
massive amount, but they still lost.
Speaker 5 (01:55):
So this is Cardi B outside the courtroom.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
Even if I'm in my death bed, I swear to God,
I will say it in my dead bet.
Speaker 5 (02:03):
I did not touch that woman. I did not touch
that girl.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
I didn't leave my hands on that girl.
Speaker 5 (02:10):
Now, with Cardi B, of course, there's always got to
be a bit.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Of drama, and certainly watching her facial expressions during the
trial was a very interesting thing. People thought she was
playing cute, she was overreacting.
Speaker 5 (02:22):
It may or may.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
Not have won some of the jurors over. It may
have turned some of the jurors off. But certainly she
brings the drama. So the other thing that happened to
talk about drama, and this was before the verdict had
come in. I thought it was a very foolish move
on her part. When she was leaving the courtroom, a
reporter yelled out something to her about are you pregnant?
(02:44):
And she grabbed a well, we used to call them
text to colors. I don't know if they still call
them that now, but a marker I think they called that,
and she threw it at that particular reporter. So she's
in the courtroom on an assault case and she's outside
assaulting somebody else.
Speaker 5 (03:00):
But it didn't seem to affect the jurors. As we say,
she's been cleared.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
So of course we have looked and slow mode that
for you, as we are expert at doing on the
Morning show.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
Okay, let's move on. Travis Kelsey's brother Jason got all
sentimental about his engagement to Taylor Swift.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
What's he said?
Speaker 4 (03:16):
Yeah, well, you know he just believes they are the
perfect match. Now, of course he's been on the inside
of this all the long, that famous podcast that they
did together, and of course there's the photographs that you know, broke.
Speaker 5 (03:28):
The internet, I think is the expression.
Speaker 4 (03:30):
So we still are a bit vague on some of
the details of the timeline. I reckon we'll get a
clearer picture of that when the next New Heights podcast drops, when,
obviously for the first time, Travis will talk about how
this was all organized and the time frame. But in
the shorter term, Jason is talking about why he believes
they are the perfect match.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Hevlot, I love my brother and I just want him
to have I think, the most fulfilled best life possible,
And such a huge part of that is you know
who you end up marrying, who you end up raising
a family with. I know the kind of person he is,
and I've been blessed to get the no tailor over
the last couple of years, and I just think that
they match so well together. They are unbelievably supportive of
(04:16):
each other and both of their outlandishly successful worlds.
Speaker 5 (04:22):
So I think we can safely say he's giving it
his blessing.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
That's lovely a star from the hit TV series Succession. Oh,
one of the best TV shows ever produced. They're in
hot water? Who's that peak?
Speaker 4 (04:35):
Yeah, this is Nicholas Braun, who you know best as
cousin Greg. I think you've had him in a couple
of years ago.
Speaker 5 (04:41):
And yeah, he.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
Got picked up at the weekend on a drink driving
charge and also not having his lights on. Happened in
New Hampshire. He has got a court date, so we
don't know yet how it's going to play out. I
guess interestingly, he got lucky in one respect in that
on the day he was taken to the cops, the
police cam was not working, so there isn't a mug shot.
(05:03):
And when you have a celebrity mug shot, that can
even if it's a relatively minor charge, that can take
a story from page sixteen to page three. But there
is no mug shot for Nicolaus. She got lucky on
that day. So we'll keep tabs on what happens when
he gets to court.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
We can only hope for that outcome, Kylie if wherever busted. Finally,
Anna Winta's replacement has been confirmed. Pete.
Speaker 4 (05:23):
Yeah, and we tipped last week. Why didn't tip it,
but certainly we reported. The hot tip was that Chloe
mar would get the job. She'd been working for Vogue
since twenty and eleven in various capacities, and she's been
more recently looking after their website and the online version,
so she now gets that gig. Now, don't think Anna
Winter is disappearing anytime soon. She still will be hovering.
(05:47):
She still has a very important title. In fact, Chloe
is probably going to be answerable to her and in
the summer. The publicity shots that were released today, I
thought it was quite interesting that in one of the
shots she's actually wearing jeans, which is a nice sort
of casual look. So I think it indicates a new error,
a new look for for Vogue, maybe getting a little
bit more contemporary in their style and outlook.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
On the world.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
Yeah, I'm not sure I'm happy with that, Kylie.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
And she's Candice Bergen's daughter. One of the Internet's reacting
is this, like, oh, nepo baby. So from what you've said,
she's got the amazing credential. I've been working there since
you said twenty eleven. Yeah, the online like, she's very
much qualified.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
And working for a New York newspaper before she got
to vote. So yeah, she's got a lot of credits
under her belt, so she has earned that gig.
Speaker 5 (06:37):
Internet.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Yes, I give her the tick.
Speaker 4 (06:41):
Pete.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
If you could just reach out to Anna Wintur and
let her know that Kylie has given her the tick,
or I will do.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
Thank you, mate, I'll tell it to myself.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
Are you why do you do that creepy DM stalk
thing and coming?
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Thank you, Pete.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
We'll check you later.
