Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, welcome back. Amid widespread speculation over her separation from Orlando,
bloom popstar Katie Perry began the Adelaie leg of her
Lifetime's tour last night.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Yeah for More.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
We're joined by entertainment editor Pater four Today, Pete, how
was it? Was it business as usual?
Speaker 2 (00:14):
There are any signs?
Speaker 3 (00:15):
No, No, nothing directly said in reference to that.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
I mean, all week there's been a lot of speculation that,
despite the fact that Orlando was in Australia, that.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
The relationship is over.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
As I said to you the other day, I suspect
he came out to maybe talk young Daisy through it
as two parents together and he's gone off to Venice,
which we'll come back to it. But last night in Adelaide,
she was sensational the first of four shows.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
People are absolutely raving about it.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
I suspect, like a lot of performers when they're going
through emotional turmoil, the one thing they actually want to
do is get out on stage and perform.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
It's like an escape for them. Now.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
These two lovely stories came out of last night's show
in Adelaide. The first one involves a young bloke who
actually by accident appeared last night on Channel seven years.
They were doing a live cross to the super fans
who were there ready to get in when the door's open,
and how excited they were.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Have a look at Keegan.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
This is a poster saying that Katie, let me dance
with you.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
And so I've had a dream.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Since Tavis, since I've got tickets to dance with Katy Perry. Well,
the lovely thing is sometimes dreams do come true. And indeed,
up on that stage last night was Keegan. He was
invited up by Katy Perry and she was sensational. He's
got the moves for swagger. I mean, move over, Mick Jagger.
He was absolutely sensational. So we haven't got that vision.
(01:35):
We might come back there.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
Yes, that's key kid from the News, that kid from
the News with the posters saying let me up on
stage with How good is he?
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Well he I mean, if I was Katie, I'll be
hiring him for the next three nights to come.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
Back and do his things. So that would say it
was incredible. You don't think he gave his age, but
would he reckon nine or ten or a little bit older.
He's not working on a less is more basis.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Either is he and you know what, I'll tell you
what once he gets through that shy stage exactly. That
is amazing. And the other exciting news is that Katie
Perry watches Channel seven years. That's good, it's good.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
So that's really good. Good on Keegan for that.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Now, the other lovely story begins seven years ago when
Katie was an adelaide and a young super fan at
the time, called.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Grace Moore's and she, unfortunately it was.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Battling a brain tumor and the one thing that really
kept her going over the months was thinking, I'm going
to get to Katy Perry's concert. Well it didn't happen
because just a couple of nights before the concert she
was rushed to hospital and had to have brain surgery.
So that was then Katy Perry turned up at the
house and did a mini show for her with a
(02:52):
couple of her musicians. What a beautiful thing that got
international traction. Heading towards eight years ago, Well fast forward
to Las night and who's sitting in the front row.
Who is cancer free now? Who is getting on and
with their life and doing normal teenage stuff, But Grace Moore's.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
Now, I'm going to warn you the quality here is
not good at all.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
It's just from somebody in the audience, but you get
the gist of it.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
It's a special moment. Here is Katie addressing Grace. What
was going on with you? Greece had a Grace.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
And how are you now?
Speaker 3 (03:27):
I'm all who, She's all good, and she's here. She's
here almost eight years later to see this concert. And
you've grown up into such a beautiful young lady. God
bless you.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
I'm so happy to see your grace. So what a
lovely moment for Grace and all of her family to
have had that seven eight years down the track, that
moment again with Katie.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Yeah, and we've got to thank Katie Perd too, like
going through all that tumultuous time personally and then start
bringing it making so many people happy here. Meanwhile, Orlando
Bloom has touched down in Venice.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Yes, so he's there for the wedding, and of course
people are now saying he's a single man and this
is his first outing as a single man.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
And over the next few days you're going to hear
a lot about this wedding.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
I mean to say, it's over the top, is understating
it that the amounts of money involved are extraordinary. The
guest list is obviously extraordinary, everybody from Oprah Winfrey and
Gail King. The wedding singer is going to be Elton John,
so it's going to be big.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
Not every body, and Menace is.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
Necessarily thrilled about it, but a beautiful setting for this
wedding and no doubt we'll be talking.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
About it next week. There's Kim Okay. Thanks people, come
back to you later in the show.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
Coming up for you this morning,
