Speaker 1 (00:01):
Well, ossie soap legend that has had his time on
Britain Strictly Come Dancing cut short.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Let's get some more.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
He's our entertainment editor Peter Ford hate Pete.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
What is the story here?
Speaker 4 (00:11):
Yes, Steph and Dennis has been forced to leave Dancing
with the Stars will Strictly Come Dancing as they call
it over there. And you know he was sick the
week before he had to miss a show, then made
a big comeback at the weekend, but then woke up
on the morning after.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
And has a calf muscle tear.
Speaker 4 (00:28):
So that does not go away fast and you can't
do these sort of energetic dances if you've got a
serious calf muscle tear.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
So he's put in months of effort.
Speaker 4 (00:38):
I mean he basically relocated over to London for several
months to do this, and he thought he'd really just
kind of found his mojo. He really felt he was
getting it right and now suddenly it's all cut short.
But this was a little bit of his last performance
and to a bit of Australia music tones and I
danced monkey, so he kind of went out with the bang,
(00:58):
even though he did it for himself.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
He's Stephan Dennis. So you can see there. You know,
he's doing really well. So that's the sadness of that.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
He felt he'd really hit his mark and now he's out.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
Well, really clever choreography. I love all that's stuffed down
the stairs. That's terrific. Oh that's a real shame for him. Yeah, okay,
we send him all that best. Eric Dane has revealed
his first new TV role since announcing he's als diagnosis.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
Yeah, he is pretty amazing.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
We've talked about him several times over the last six
months since he went public with the diagnosis, which, to
be honest, I guess there was no option but to
go public because things are becoming apparent. But he has
signed on for a guest role in Brilliant Minds. He
will pay a firefighter who's having difficulty. You can see
him on the set with Zachary Quinto up there. So
they've already filmed it and it's a firefighter who's having
(01:47):
difficulty telling his.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
Family that he has been diagnosed with this.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
So, as I say, done some months ago and we've
seen it just in the last couple of weeks.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
You can see that there is.
Speaker 4 (01:56):
Some deterioration in his speech and his mobility. But he
is amazing and he's still going to go back and
film scenes for Euphoria, so he's keeping busy all RP.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Now, Naomi Watts has praised her All's fair Coaster.
Speaker 4 (02:09):
Yeah, I thought this was worth showing it because she
joined the Naomi's one of the well established stars in
this along with Glenn Close and Sarah Paulson. It's a
Ryan Murphy production, and you know, Ryan Murphy likes to
do kind of gimmicky celebrity casting, although everyone he finds
is always capable of doing it. He never casts somebody
who is obviously out of their depth. But I wanted
(02:30):
to show you this grab from Miaomi Watts because she
is so experienced she would think maybe she might have thought, really,
I'm working with Kim Kardashian. But she is full of
praise and Naomi is not capable of lying, so she'd
say nothing rather than say anything negative.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
But she's saying a lot of positive.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Here's Naomi is Absol's very very impressive. She's a hard,
hard worker, a fast learner. She was dedicated, focused on
time and also multitasking. You know, she's practicing her law degree.
She's you know, running a company, looking after children, making
sure their homework's done, and eating rate and you know
(03:09):
all of that and and being a good person at
the same time.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
So that's a pretty good reference, isn't.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
It's a very high prise. So you do hear that
a lot though, actually from people, so it doesn't come
as a surprise, probably as a surprise to you.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
Larry's well, I'm surprised that it comes from so many people,
and that you've clocked that.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
What sort of people have saying.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
That, A lot of talking.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
Industry. Why did that movie clearly
