Let's get back to that breaking and use this morning
now with those reports that Keith Herban and Nicole Kidman
have separated and for more. Sunrise Showbiz editor Peter Ford
joins us Life, Good morning to you, Pete, Hey, this
is huge news. What more do we knowwn.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Well, Variety, which is like the Bible of show business,
have confirmed the story. TMZ originally broke it. Variety through
their own sources separate to TMSZ have confirmed it, as
has the New York Posts. So it looks pretty definite.
So they're saying it's a separation. We have no statement
from Keith or Nicole. It may be that Nicole views

(00:35):
this as a trial separation and they're going to try
and work things out. Nicole is a devout Catholic and
divorce is certainly still found upon in the Catholic Church,
so she will want to work on this. Wherether Keith wants.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
To do that?

Speaker 2 (00:48):
I don't know that. So when I heard the news,
I was shocked, but not shocked. I mean, for nineteen
years now, the weekly magazines have been telling us that
they're separating and they can't stand each other. Finally it's
come true. It would seem so in that sense, I
wasn't shocked, and I know how devoted they were to
each other. If you followed this couple since day one,

when they first met at the good Ala function in
La they have just been devoted to each other. And
they had a packed actually for a number of years
that they would never be away from each other for
more than two weeks at a time, so that if
Keith was on tour or Nicole was filming, one had
to go to the other, sometimes only for one night.

They would travel across the world just to be together,
because that was the pack that they had. Now that
doesn't seem to be holding true for the last several years,
and you look at their work schedules, it's astonishing. You know,
Keith is constantly on tour working on different projects. Nicole
her working schedule is unbelievable. As a producer and as

(01:51):
an actress. She goes from one project to the next.
Very few of those projects, if any, ever filmed in Nashville,
where she technically lives, so she's hardly ever there. They
are a couple who seem to be due by virtue
of work commitments, always apart from each other.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Yeah, you're right, she has worked so much in the
last few years, and obviously so so has he. There
was also maybe were there signs. There were pictures on
her social media of a summer where she seemed to
spend with her sisters, a no sign of Keith. It
was all the kids.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
And yeah, well that's the way it works now with
social media. Everyone goes trawling back through recent posts and
try to read between the lines. I'm going to tell
you I'd not heard anything about a separation, so I
was shocked in that sense. I'd be surprised if there
isn't some statement, a joint statement from both of them,
because they have and I know sometimes people say it's

their private business, but they have been very proudly a
couple and have very much promoted themselves as a couple,
a very devoted couple. So if that status changes, I
think we're entitled to talk about it and potentially even
know confirming it from one or the other of them.

there's two kids involved in this as well. So look,
