Speaker 1 (00:01):
Well, Prince Harry's visit to the UK has been making
headlines for all the right reasons. This morning, that's.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Nice, let's get some more his our entertainment at Lapeter
Food Hope Pet. He's personally donated a significant amount of
money there.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Yeah, one point one million pounds, which is roughly two
point two million Australian dollars. That's a personal donation from
him which is given to an organization called Children in Need,
which is based in Nottingham. Now I'm not quite quite
sure why Nottingham is his particular place of interest, but
what Children in Need does, it's like an umbrella organization

(00:35):
and they then distribute money to other charities and organizations
working in the Nottingham area to specifically look after kids.
So that is a lot of money by anybody's standards.
That's a lot of money and a personal donation from him.
And he's actually been in the UK as you probably know,
for Well Child, which is an organization he's been involved

(00:56):
with for many, many years. Look you see him there
interacting with the kid's you know, I think when I
look at this visit now and it's going so well. Obviously,
the whole issue of seeing his father or his brother
is a whole other thing. That doesn't seem like it's
going to happen. But otherwise this tour is going really
really well. It's good pr for him, but it's also

(01:16):
a little bit sad because you think what could have been.
You know, he's the one who's able to go out
there and have some fun. You know, he can be
a bit raucous. He can break ranks and go and
run over to the crowd and have them take selfies
with him. You know, the others have to be a
little bit more stitched up. That's just the way it is.
But of course that's not how it is. This is
only how it's going to be for a couple of days.

(01:39):
Could we turn back the clock, you know, could he
be taken back into the fold. Very unclear if he
even wants to, even less unclear if Megan wants to.
But when he's out there working that crowd, he's absolutely superb.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
No one's denying that a million million pounds donation is amazing,
but that really none of the other royals are making
small donations, so it really that will behind the scenes
they support through the trusts and whatever. Yes, but making
a million pound personal donation is very much out of

(02:12):
line with all the royal sort of behavior. It'll be
interesting to see how that goes.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
And because there we blow back to that too, because
some people.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Million pounds to children's charities is awesome things, a lot
of chats, a lot of jam, but it's just going
to it just further disrupts that whole royal thing.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
And some people will say, oh, you're only trying to
buy good publicity. You know, no good deed goes unpunished.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Is that okay? That'll be interesting to see how that
plays out. Charlie Sheen's new memoir Lands Today. There are
some wild stories.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
Yeah, well it's been a wildlife. You know, he's been
quiet the last few years, but you know, back in
the day, I mean he was. It's amazing he's still
around to write a book and to bring out a
documentary and go and do the talk show rounds to
talk about his life. Now, because there's the cover of
the book there, the Book of Sheen, and the documentary
is also going to drop because you know, back in

(03:08):
the day, I mean, it's amazing he is actually still
around to write the book because he was on the
edge and there were many times when people didn't think
he was going to make it with all sorts of
issues and negative things going on in his life, and
it led to an intervention, a family intervention where he
was called over to his parents' home and basically a

(03:29):
lot of people in his life were there sitting around
and saying, you need to go to rehab. And he
was very reluctant, as people use are in those situations.
And then there was a phone call, and the phone
call sealed the deal. And this is how Charlie tells
the story.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
I describe it in the book as the whoms were
descending upon me, you know, and yeah, and I walk
into that basically the worst episode of this is your Life,
and everybody goes around. Beckram was there, and mister Grinson
and Rob Lowe and my trainer Milan and my whole family,
and it was and there was one empty seat, you know, yeah,

(04:09):
as I say in the book, for the guest of Dishonor.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
And then at the end of that, the phone rings
and Dad says, you know, somebody needs to talk to you,
and I'm and it's the you know, the unmistakable voice
of Clint Eastwood, I mean, and he says, it's a
speed bump kid, just go you know, you gotta go, go, go,
get tuned up or you know go.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Yeah, and when Dirty Harry rings you and gives you
that advice, you go to rehab, right, and thankfully he did.
I don't know if that was the one that actually worked.
He went several times, but nonetheless good advice from Clint.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
All Right, Hey, Pete, the first round of you Jackman's
new movie has dropped.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
So this is song Sung Blue and in it he
plays a Neil Diamond tribute impersonator. I guess he is.
And it's a love story and it's a bit of
a rom com and Kate Hudson Easi's co star, and
obviously all that great Neil Diamond music is included. It's
really going to put Neil back on the map. Of course,
health wise is not traveling too well. But this, of course,

(05:05):
combined with the stage musical which is going around opening
in Melbourne in August of next year, people are kind
of rediscovering the Neil Diamond music catalog, which is a
very very impressive one. So here is a little of
song sound Blue Lightning.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
You wouldn't go any shorter than this.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
I wanted to ripple and wave when wind blows my shirt.
Wind in a bar?

Speaker 3 (05:25):
How like a leaf? Pour?

Speaker 4 (05:27):
You have one?

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Sure, sweet Line's.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Mother?

Speaker 3 (05:42):
And how are you doing? How am I doing?

Speaker 2 (05:44):
You?

Speaker 4 (05:46):
I just disappear in the music.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
You're my August Night, may scept him a mourn you
may crackle and rosy.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
Yeah, and.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Just to convince you, it is the perfect Christmas treat.
It's being released in the States and Australia on December
twenty five. Kindi's going to see You're going to see that?

Speaker 1 (06:09):
However, I thought it was a Neil Diamond biopic. No no, no, no,
no no. He plays a tribute a tribute singer.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
You're still going to see, yes, because it looks great,
but it's important. It's no rocket man. I don't know
if I'm going to the cinemas to unless he's got
steel claws coming out of his knuckles about halfway and
he gets angry.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
You know, Thank you, thank you,
