Speaker 1 (00:01):
Now, Duchess Meghan has launched her brand new podcast, Confessions
of a Female Founder and revealed a serious health scare
in the very first episode, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
From what Were joined by entertainment editor Peter Forde, Meghan
went into quite a bit of detail about this.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
Yes she did, and look she's played this very well.
It's a very crowded world in the podcast market. So
if you're going to launch a new one, even if
you are Meghan Markel or Meghan Sussex or whatever she is,
you've got to stand out from the crowd and a
you've got to let people know that you'll be able
to get up close and personal to her and get
all the inside info. And you also need to have
(00:36):
a breakout story that's going to have people on morning
TV in Australia talking about you, and that's exactly what
she's done here. And also to be serious talking about
something a medical condition that it is a little bit rare,
it's new to me. Certainly that's a good thing because
it's putting it on the table and other people can
relate to that and learn about it too. So the
first episode has dropped. She's talking to Whitney Wolf Herd
(00:59):
who's the founder of Bumbles. That's the whole premise of
the podcast is her talking to women who started up
very successful businesses, and in this they talk about the
condition and how it really impacted Megan after the birth.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
We both had preclamsya hard do you believe we both
had that. It's so rare, It's so rare, it's so scary,
so scary, and you go and you're still trying to
juggle all of these things and the world doesn't know
what's happening. Quietly, and in the quiet you're still trying
(01:35):
to show up for people. And I'll never forget the
image of you after you delivered Archie and the whole
world was like waiting for his debut. How is this
woman putting on heels and going and debuting a child?
Speaker 3 (01:53):
And that condition can lead to all sorts of bad
stuff like strokes and organ failure, et cetera. So she's
certainly putting it out for people to talk about. Meanwhile,
Prince Harry is in London, still fighting the good fight
over his protection.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
Now.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Of course, when he stepped down from being a royal,
that was taken away from him. He's refusing to accept this,
so even this is an appeal now on a decision
that was saying no, you're not going to get special protection,
and he wants that for himself and for Megan and
for the kids when they do visit the UK, and
his barrister today in court said he'd actually been singled
(02:28):
out for inferior treatment because he was forced to leave
the royal family. So there's a lot of baggage to
unpack in those statements. But nonetheless we don't have an
outcome yet, but most people think he's not going to
get what he wants.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
Wow, so much going on, it's almost like those two
need their own series. Moving on, music Icon Brian cadd
is recovering up for a stroke.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Caddie a great music legend as a performer of course,
and also as a great songwriter that he's written for
other people right around the world. And on Sunday he
stuffered what I've been told, there is a major stroke.
It required six and a half hour brain surgery on Monday.
His family are quietly confident, but there certainly are some
(03:11):
encouraging signs. But he is not out of the woods.
So seventy eight years old, and he did have other
existing health conditions. We probably aren't going to be helping
him either, But you know, fingers crossed because all of
those big hits and he's still out there on the road,
often teaming up with Russell Morris and they pack out
clubs and pubs right around the country. So fingers cross
that Brian Cad can get through this.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
We wish him all the best. When I worked in
town with lived and worked in town with her, you
used to have a lot to do with Brian Cad
around that country music world. We wish him all the best.
Lady Gaga is heading down under.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
She is all little monsters better get organized because she's
announced three dates in advance. I'm sorry, Perf, I'm sorry Adelaide.
At this point in time anyway, she's not going to
be bringing the Mayhem Ball to you. But she is
doing Melbourne, Sydney, in Brisbane, one concert in each in
the stadiums only one, only one at this stage, but
(04:06):
their stadium show is he going to be packing a
lot of people in in Melbourne. It's Marvel, which is
literally next door to where I am at the moment.
So in December, the first part of December, Lady Gaga
hits town for the first time in eleven years, there.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
Will be a second concept. Easy, Okay, now, Hugh Jackman,
he's going viral for a very unusual reason. People.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
What's very well? He's breathing, which I'm very pleased to
say is a good starting point for anybody. But what there?
Marvel have put this up on YouTube. It's eight and
a half hours of wolverine breathing. If you I guess
it's like a meditation thing. Marvel themselves have done it,
so there's no copyright issues. If you want to watch it,
(04:49):
you can if you just want to listen.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
Sorry, is this like AI or something?
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Or is it he wouldn't have stood there for eight
and a half hours, but you can hear the intake exactly.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Sometimes sometimes what you see isn't actually.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Not what you get. It's kind of spooky, though, isn't it.
Would you want to watch that for eight hours and
listening to the intake of breath then the breath coming out.
I guess it's a meditational thing. But if you want
to do that, it's there for you. It's not going
to cost you anything.
Speaker 4 (05:22):
Sorry.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Any explanation around the release, No, it's obviously it must
be some reason they're creating height for some reason. But yeah,
I'm sure.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
That moving, not just doing it for meditation purpose. Yeah, okay,
all right, well can you stay across that one.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
For US peak.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
I'll watch it for the next three hours.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
The change is if he quickens up or slows down.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Please the edit.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
I believe.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
Sorry, just it's early.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
It's early still is that's fa
