A man is fighting for life after a stabbing attack at a Melbourne shopping centre last night. 

Investigations will begin into a fatal light plane crash near Toowoomba in regional Queensland.

At least five people have died and hundreds are recovering after a fire ripped through passenger ferry in Indonesia.

Good morning. A man is fighting for life after a
stabbing attack and Melbourne shopping center last night. Emergency crews
descended on the scene at broad Meadows around six point
thirty last night. They found a man with what's believed
to be serious stab wounds. Video from the scene shows
a large police presence and a crime scene set up
in the car park. The victim was taken to hospital

with life threatening injuries. It's still unclear exactly where or
why the man was assaulted. His attack at remains on
the run. This morning, investigations will begin into a fatal
light plane crashed here to Woomba in Regional Queensland. Two
men were killed when the plane crashed northwest of Oki
yesterday afternoon. The Forensic Crash Unit is looking into the

circumstances of the incident and will assist the Australian Transport
Safety Bureau with their investigations. At least five people have
died and hundreds are recovering after a fire ripped through

Eddie will sadly precious little when it comes to the
cause of this blaze. What's certain, though, is the size
of it. You can see in these pictures. It's absolutely enormous,
and many of those photographs and videos were actually recorded
by passengers and crew as they floated in life jackets
in the water after diving overboard. Now, after the ferry ignited,
three Navy ships were deployed to evacuate the nearly three

hundred passengers and crew on board. Local fishermen even helped
rescue many of the survivors who dove into the water
to escape the flames, only to find themselves helplessly drifting
away in the chopping water. The Indonesian Navy now says
everyone aboard has been evacuated tragically, though among them was
the body of a pregnant woman. Now the death toll

stands at five people. So a terrible story of what
can go wrong on the water, but obviously a far
greater tragedy here of avoided because of those life jackets
and the desperate efforts of the navy and nearby fisherman.

Thank you Ben. A shock and crash has been caught
on dashcam in Sydney's southwest. It happened at an intersection
on Heathcote Road in Holsworthy. A car from the opposite
lane veered right and hit a traffic poll at speed

crash as yet. A Japanese court will soon decide whether
it will re examine the case of a Perth grandmother
convicted of smuggling almost two kilograms of meth and fetamine
into the country. Donal Nelson has maintained her innocence, saying
she was tricked by romance scam into carrying a bag
with drugs hidden inside. Miss Nelson was sentenced to six

years in jail in December. The court will hear an
application for an appeal on Thursday. Childcare centers have been
put on notice with the federal government set to introduce
strict new laws targeting all operators this week. Let's go

The prime suspect in the cold case murder of Rochelle
Charles portally been found dead in Thailand. Sixty nine year
old Kevin Stephen Carell was found dead while holidaying last week,
but it's unclear exactly when and how he died. He

was the key suspect in the murder since the twenty
three year old's body was found in GIRoA south of
Sydney in two thousand and one. Rochelle Child's family has
previously pleaded for the case to be reopened with an
increased reward for new information Veterans. Stunt pilot Glen Collins
has told seven News Spotlight of the shocking plane crash

that unfolded in front of forty thousand people at this
year's Avalon Air Show. Mister Collins smashed into the ground
at around three hundred kilometers an hour and incredibly survived.
