These children were inside that church, the Nunciation Catholic Church.
It is attached to their school. It was an early
morning mass to mark the beginning of a new school term.
The children had only returned to school on Monday. It
is Wednesday here in the United States, and it is
an annual tradition of that school to hold an all

school mass students from kindergarten up to eighth grade. Now
it's understood the gunman approached that church from the outside
and began firing through the windows. He was armed with
a shotgun, a pistol, and a rifle. Police say that
he had barricaded the doors to block the exits in

an attempt to trap students and teachers inside that building.
As you mentioned, an eight year old and a ten
year old have been killed. Seventeen other people are injured.
Fourteen of those are children. At least one is believed
to still be in a critical condition. This is what
