A 16-year-old swimmer has had a narrow escape after a terrifying shark attack at one of New South Wales' most popular beaches.

Top US officials behind AUKUS are calling on Anthony Albanese to pay the White House a visit to keep the submarine deal afloat.

The New South Wales state government has set aside 2.4 million dollars in this year's budget to maintain an app designed to help young people quit vaping.

A sixteen year old swimmer has had a narrow escape
after a terrifying shark attack at one of New South
Wales's most popular beaches. A group of brave bystanders rushed
to save the teenager after he was attacked at Cabareta
Beach late yesterday.

They carried the sixteen year old up Cabareta Beach. He'd
been seriously hurt, bitten twice on the arm and the leg.

The patient had significant injuries, but it was in a
stable condition.

A rescue helicopter called in to take the boy to
a Gold Coast hospital as another choppers guard the surf
for any sign of the shark. The young boys rescuers
praised for their quick thinking and brave act.

It was two off judy paramedics and there were some
bystanders in the water who are very bravely got the
patient out of the water and rendered first aid.

Cabareta Beach is one of the Far North Coast's most
popular surfing hotspots, now closed until further notice. Gina Trahan

Melbourne detectives have charged a man with the murder of
twenty three year old Joshua Bishop, a month after Bishop's
mother reported him missing. Human remains are found inside a
West Meadows townhouse on Saturday, mister Bishop's devastated family releasing
a statement on Sunday evening confirming his death.

Detectives have changed to twenty seven year.

Old West Meadows man with murder on Sunday night and
he is due to face court today.

All parts of New South Wales are already flood watch.

for a rapidly approaching weather system called a cyclone bomb.
