A man has been shot dead in Sydney's south west, sparking an urgent search for the shooter.

A dramatic siege in south-west Brisbane ended overnight after three armed individuals broke into a property on Boonah Road in Ipswich yesterday afternoon, following several gunshots being fired, according to police.

Two Police Officers have been treated for cuts and bruises, following a nasty brawl during an NRL match between the Tigers and Rabbitohs.
