Tech titans share Time's person of the year

Eight tech leaders including Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Sam Altman and Jensen Huang have been named Time Magazine's Person of the Year for their roles in the AI revolution.

Eight individuals have shared the honors in this year's Time
Magazine Person of the Year. The tech titans are the
brains behind the AI revolution that will have enormous effects
on the world's future. Jeff Parry reports from the United States.

Six men and two women make up this year's Time
Magazine Person of the Year, the ninety ninth year of
the award. They own, run or head up the world's
biggest AI companies. Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Sam Altman less
of a household name. Jensen Huang, who started up Navidia
in nineteen ninety three and is considered the godfather of AI.

He's built a personal fortune of two hundred and thirty
six billion dollars. The effects of AI on our lives
will know no limits.

How much autonomy should they have in terms of medical
decisions or even warfare. Should they be let loose to
be our therapists, to be our friends.

Advances in AI have been exponential in just the last
few years. Promises of easier and more comfortable lives are
weighed against loss of employment.

Maybe one out of five people will be unemployed because
of artificial intelligence in the next one to five years.

While some see threats others see business opportunities. Disney announced
today it's investing a billion dollars into a partnership with
Open AI that will allow subscribers of text to video
generator SOA access to two hundred Disney characters. Today we
saw President Trump trying to bring more order into the
rules governing AI by signing an executive order restricting the
