Speaker 1 (00:29):
Hello, welcome.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Elliott.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Let's just let's just rip this fan dat off.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
I will mention the Elliot in the room.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
What would you like to say?

Speaker 1 (00:39):
That's very clever, mate, that is very clever.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
There's been some talk, been some talk that the Crows
want you and what what what would you like to
respond to said talk?

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Ah, that's that's up to my manager to handle. Okay.

Speaker 5 (00:57):
For me, it's just about trying to get back on
the park and play football. Really, all that external noise
I got to try and you have to try and
block it out because your main job and your main
role is pretty much play football. So that's all I
got to worry about.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
At the moment this week.

Speaker 5 (01:11):
And yeah, because I'm hoping to get through a test
at the end of the week and then hopefully be
able to play.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
So that's my main focus.

Speaker 5 (01:19):
And my main goal at the moment, not anything else
that's going on around. Otherwise it can sort of fester
and eat out.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
Yeah, you are a good sport makers. When I walked
down there and started singing, please don't go, you joined in.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Yeah, it's yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:36):
I forgot about it too until you go that there
was that thingy on Netflix actually about Jeffrey Dummer.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Oh yeah, I know. This is a great song. Yeah,
but also it's kind of ruined it for me.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
There, very very creepy check the freezer. Ye yes, okay,
the Demons, you beat them by thirty five points and
of the stadium on Sunday one hundred and five to seventy.
I think a lot of people didn't expect this. It
was a big win and a stunning team performance. What
words would you use to describe what went on Sunday

(02:11):
afternoon late Sunday afternoon pretty.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Much that, Yeah, like huge team performance.

Speaker 5 (02:17):
Everyone played their role really well and executed it perfectly.
So yeah, it was I think every KPI and every
metric that we go after we were pretty much green
and every single one of them, which you know, I
think at the time.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
These were top four.

Speaker 5 (02:33):
I think the fourth, so and yeah, sure there's travel
and everything like that, but they had that probably didn't
have too many outs either, but they were almost full strength.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
And yeah, we took it up to them.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
Theyre struggling. Yeah, yeah, I thought it was a better
performance than the derby. Mate it was. It was quite incredible.
It was impressive. You see that confidence as well.

Speaker 5 (02:50):
Absolutely, yeah, And we've been playing good games at home,
so we've been playing really well. It's just now how
can we sort of take that on the road with
us as well?

Speaker 1 (02:59):
With a young team.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
I didn't miss that little generous nod to acknowledging travel
for them, but they never acknowledged for you got a.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Few business class seats on the way over, So yeah,
what are you witching about?

Speaker 2 (03:13):
The Eagles did start the game very fast? How important
is that in this you know, the way the game
has played today to just if you don't get that
fast start, I really are backpeddling absolutely yeah.

Speaker 5 (03:26):
And early days as well, especially last year, we were
really bad at starting games of football. So it's I mean,
every team has a focus of starting well.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
You don't want to start bad.

Speaker 5 (03:35):
So yeah, but it's now the games based on momentum
as well, and if you can control the momentum of
the game throughout the whole entire you know, it's very
very hard to do that for the entire game. So
there's going to be patches where teams get on top,
and just how can you sort of resist that and
nullify as much as you can? And I thought our

(03:55):
back's held up really well through certain stages of the game,
and they've been really good.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Back six had been.

Speaker 5 (04:01):
You know, GARV TV, they're all standing up, Douggie, they're
all standing up. Hoffee's playing an underrated.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
Fifty mics between them or something on the weekend.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Oh yeah, yeah, Coleie.

Speaker 5 (04:11):
All the boys are just having a red hot crack
and they're keeping us in games of football.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
When we are losing that momentum, and then.

Speaker 5 (04:17):
Once we can get it back, the Mids are just
on top and dominating.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
Mate. This was game number nine for number nine, right,
So Harley read running out of the center away from protraker,
Is that the sign of the changing of the guard makers?
Was he gold? After three bounces?

Speaker 5 (04:30):
I was sitting in the coach's box and I had
Maddie Flynn next to me as well, and we were
kind of watching a few things, you know, Iso cam
type stuff on a few different players and roles that
they were and then when that went off, it was
just everyone was just laughing in the box.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
So it was just here we go again.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
You know, these kids are freaked top of a top
of feeling in the box and I think sim I
couldn't contain its excitement.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
I don't think he knew what to do.

Speaker 5 (04:57):
If you saw the if you saw the footage of him, yeah,
it was funny, very funny.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
It was like that in the box, no doubt about it.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
There are all eyes are on Harley Reed. But we
should also discuss the development of Ruben Jimbi. I mean
it's not just Reid, you know, there are others that
need to work in conjunction with him to make that
magic happen. And there's so much to be positive about.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
Oh absolutely, yeah, absolutely. Rubs has taken big steps forward
as well this year. Again, but you know, I think
he gets shadowed obviously with the Harley Reied height, which
was fair enough. But yeah, Rubs is quietly going about
his business and building so far a really good season
for his second year. So that's good. I thought campbell
Chester as well he's doing some good things for us.

(05:41):
As a young kid, he's still trying to learn his way,
but people forget that he's lost almost three years of
football since he's been drafted and he's slowly building his
way back and getting used to it. So, yeah, they're
playing good games of football for us, and you know,
those young kids are starting to come through now that
they've got a little bit more experience.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Being Daniel Kowski.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
When he and Thorpe got in the pool.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Press, it's really tough when there's a freak the next.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Lee ye yeah, yeah, yeah, if you're the second spinner
behind warning, Yeah, how did you get Stewey? Jack Darling,
Nice to see you. But this puts in so much
hard work, lots of lots of great tackles on the weekend,
big strong doo.

Speaker 5 (06:19):
But he got some goals too, yeah, And I think
that's kind of what kept him in the game as well.
Just his pressure was just phenomenal, I think, And as
a forward, that's what you have to do these days.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
And if we're able.

Speaker 5 (06:30):
To get the ball inside fifty as much as we can,
keeping it locked in there is just so beneficial for
the whole team because the backs get a rest, you're
not transitioning up and back from the game, and you
can lock it in and you just get repeat entries
and hopefully you can get a few more shots on goals.
So he was a beneficiary of really good pressure and
that's why he was able to sort of get on
the end of I think you kick three three years

(06:51):
I think three it was, yeah, and then Jakie kick
five as well. So he's on fire.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
At did anyone expect he'd be equal first on the
coal ladder at this stage.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
I wouldn't have thought, you said at the start of
the year.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Yeah, that's you know, out of a lot of people,
that's pretty impressive.

Speaker 5 (07:09):
He's playing some unbelievable for for us. So but that helps.
I mean we're getting some good inside fifty. Oh yes, yes,
stat's coming through. So if you know, the more we
can get the ball in there, the more opportunity they've got.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
So that's great if Melbourne were going to challenge, if
none we're going to challenge on the weekend. It was
through quarter, but they kicked seven or eight points, so
that that was the sort of blew it there, really didn't.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
They they did, But that's that's the backs in the
backs pressure up. So that's what I was talking about before,
where there will be stages where the momentum. You will
lose momentum in games, but how can you kind of
nullify as much as you can and the back's putting
pressure on the on their forwards. I just thought, yeah,
that was that's what kept us in it throughout that
stage when they had that momentum.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
All right, moving forward to this Sunday, The irony of
the fact you're playing growth in Adelaide's uncanny. But the
Crows are in a similar boat to the Eagles this
season in regard to form and rebuilding. They did really
test Collingwood on the weekend though, and that's never you know,
an easy feat, is it. So I would imagine this

(08:10):
will be a really anyone's game.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
Yeah it is.

Speaker 5 (08:13):
Any team at home is hard to beat, especially over there.
So they've got some talented players. They've got really talented players.
So sure rankings are big out. Yeah that easy to
be out because he's been playing really good football Forlim,
isn't Yeah Yeah, Yeah, he's been superstarff for him so
far in the past couple of weeks.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
So yeah, that's a big out for him.

Speaker 5 (08:33):
But yeah, look we're going to go over there and
put our best foot forward and hopefully have a real
red hot crack, and I think it'd be a close game.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
Yeah, it's it's really quite bizarre right now with the
way that placings are on the ladder. More in the
top eight or the top ten, teams are so close.
Well on the weekend there are a couple of sides
were talking generally now about the ladder. So many teams
will win a game and go up six places or
four places. Yeah, it's weird, that's what happened to get
to such an even comp.

Speaker 5 (08:57):
Yeah, exactly, Yeah you said, it's exactly what I would
have said, just so anyone can win on their day.
So which is which is great? I mean awesome for
supporters because you're rocking up thinking all right, well we're
in this. Yeah, especially for us as well. Now off
the back of two years ago, where we'd be going
into games, you know, how much can we you know,
not lose by and save as much as we can
because we're just trying to do our best.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
We've just got so much young kids.

Speaker 5 (09:19):
But now it's a matter of all right, we're in
games of footy year it's exciting, it's exciting time to
be a part of it.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Absolutely, he didn't play on the weekend. We're all hoping
that that was more of a precaution, just to make
sure you're really good than ay, you know, than anything else.

Speaker 5 (09:36):
Yes, you'll play on Sunday. I've got a test on Thursday.
But yeah, I feel great at the moment, so we'll
see how we go. But yeah, I just got to
tick that last box and hopefully that's.

Speaker 4 (09:47):
It's all good off, very nice.

Speaker 5 (09:51):
Yes, a couple of exercises for that wre we go
going to that.

Speaker 4 (09:59):
Right, Yes, yes, much publicized growing.

Speaker 5 (10:03):
Yeah, we did speak about this famous great famous. Yeah, yeah,
it is what it is.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
I think I think on that note less Cleary, I'm good.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
I just want to see anything you want to see
Elliott play with the way the team played on the weekend.
Taking to see so you come back soon, nottechers.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
I want to see how the crowd walk of you
on afternoon down is two forty perth time. It is
the second week of the Sir Doug Nichols, ral, good luck,
thank you.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
And Elliott don't go yo.
