Speaker 2 (00:14):
It was a big weekend.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
It was a big weekend. Not a great weekend for
our local team.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Not on the footy field.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
The fever one so that was good, and the glory one,
but the Dockers I was crazy. I was genuinely shocked
at that performance. Shocked, Like I'm not just saying that
to get hits on social media or anything, Okay, like
like what happened?

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Yeah, you know, like one goal.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Up to halftime, didn't get started.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Five for the match? Young he doing his hammy and
you know what that looked like a bad hammy.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Did, didn't it because he grabbed straight away as he
got tumbled over the boundary.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
I hope it's not a tendon because it could be
like ten weeks. But you guys will find out this
week when he comes in. But they got beaten by
what they knew. They knew that Ross was gonna gigs
are wrong. Tag Brayshaw I.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Seem Ross was really unassuming and quiet about it all
afterwards smug, he really played it down.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
I was very smug in the box. He was looking
at this cracking gags. I didn't like that. And then
he put his best defender, Callum Wilkie in all Australian
onto Josh Tracy to shut him down, and we knew
that was going to happen. And then nothing free. I
keep him under ten goals, we boot eleven, boys will win.
They kept him to five goals and they booted fourteen.

(01:31):
It was horrible and now it's horrible for Justin Long
Muir on the back page today Spotlight.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
He played Collingwood here on Thursday night and they're going to.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Be and they're going to really want to win because
they got beaten by three points.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Against Long, which was the great Yeah, and you know what,
they'll bounce back. I reckon there's always a response from
Frio and it will be on Thursday night. But that's
the problem. It's like a roller coaster.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
It's like a fortnightly roller coast up and down.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
And now without Youngie for four to six at least.
And I felt for Simon Garlic, the CEO give you guys.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Know Garlo, I met him a couple of times.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
But a fantastic guy, the CEE. He'll go to the
AFL one day. He's very, very good. But he was
on the national board broadcaster before the game and he
must have been feeling confident because they asked him, you know,
we'll justin long Murell be coaching next year in round
one and rayin Hale or shine. He seemed to say yes, guaranteed,
he guaranteed he was coaching. This is before the game.

(02:26):
Here's how we said it. There's no well that he
won't coach around one next year. Absolutely not. No, he's
doing a phenomenal job. But he and the coaching staff
have had a great couple of weeks after a disappointing performance.
I think they're sitting our team up brilliantly well interesting,
and then the game started. Yeah, was definitely not that.
It's like when you know when the board of directors

(02:48):
comes out of the club and they go, you know
the coach has got our full support, yeah, complete faith,
and he'll get the sack next Yeah. I hope it's
not like that. But I felt for Simon for Garlo
there so as he said now it's Sairsday night at
just the roller coaster, continue saying, there Dockers fans, Jesus
has been fired up about it. The Eagles fans forty
thousand turned out, turned.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Out forty two thousand, good crowdpressive, very stoke.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Yeah, geez, they're loyal. Not much better the Eggs. They
had a crack, but then they lost McGovern who's now
in concussion protocols. And they also got beaten by what
they know, which is Max Gorne is going to kill you, yes,
all right, and he coached at Melbourne. You know Andrew
McWalter last year. Oh he did you all about Gorney?

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Could he stop him? No? Hevlogged him. He was unbelievable.
And they just didn't have the cat all the soldiers,
I guess. And they lost Archer reed to a leg injury.
Bow Allen. He's been suspended now for all his debut.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
That's a shame.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
So it's gone from bad to worse as they lost
the eighth consecutive game, so it's not knock who's there? O?
And O and eight just keeps going, you know what
I mean? And Yoey, when's is he in here tomorrow?

Speaker 2 (03:56):
He's actually going to be in later in the week
because he's having a little surgery.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
He is having breaking years having it tomorrow is yeah,
so tomorrow he needs surgery on that ankle. So despite
not playing a game yet, he will miss another Uricon,
probably eight matches because he has to have surgery. It
has to heal, has to start training, he has to get.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Fit, hopefully no infection along the way.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
And he probably has to come back to the Waffle,
which he'll love.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
He loves that.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
He does love going back to the waffle.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Yeah, through good The Eagles swaffle team had to win
on the weekend.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
I know. And you guys must hate me, do you?

Speaker 3 (04:39):
No, don't hate you at all.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Not annoying. I'm not popular around you.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Are very happy Stoke.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Who have we beaten? Where's per Yeah? And isn't that's.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Team factor annoyance?

Speaker 3 (04:55):
But right, we can't stand it.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
No, we're very happy for you.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Thank you for your role in it. It's great for
our club.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
It is it is.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
We've been down for a long time. One of the
nice things and one of the things. There's a lot
of things I like about least, but one of them
is that she actually takes an interest in the ones
I do we can get.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
I No, I can't explain it, but I've always explained
you're onto.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
It somehow, Please explain.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Yeah, yeah, well go to Melbourne if you're working.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Yeah, once you've seen it, once you've been Yeah, get
how Burger get wiped down on it? It was almost Hamburger.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Burger.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
The Miami Grand Prix, the new Star McLaren driver Oscar
Piastre from Australia. He's one of his third race in
a row. So excited and OSSI hasn't done that since
nineteen seventy nine. He's going to win the Driver's Championship.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
I think, No, he's got a nice you know league.
At the moment on the on the top there.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Max's car is not as good and he's got looks
like he's got Lando, his teammate covered. This must be
absolutely p and I hang on, I'm not supposed to
be the man, so anyway oscars through. Another highlight for
me was that Italian Kimmy Antonelli Lise who sprung the
surprise of the season, got pole in the sprint. He's eighteen,
he should still be on his peas.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
What's the difference between having pole in the sprint and
pole overall.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
They had this sprint race which is almost just beforehand. Yeah,
but he did well in the actual race itself. You know,
an eighteen year old, he should be reversing him crazy,
don't you reckon? He should be reversing in the ballards
in car parks and stuff like that, normally eighteen year old.
So he's been amazing.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
He has replaced Hamilton after all.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
That's right, Mercedes.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
Next time.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
And you know that because there's a documentary.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
Comte love that. I do love a good but the
absolute highlight for me, and I'm sure you too, Lise,
was I was channeling my inner child. I was ten
years old. Yeah, sitting in a Lando and playing Lego
four hundred thousand Lego bricks. Wow, used car to build
a car? Yeah, they built ten of them. The Lego

(07:08):
people that had twenty two thousand hours. They spent twenty
six Lego specialists. I love that there's a Lego specialist.
Of course, had a good job. Good and they drove
a lap. Yeah, they drove around the Miami growing pre circuit,
all ten of them cards with all brick master.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
His Amies was in there, tell it.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
Yeah, So that was spectacular. West Coast Fever won at home.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
For the first accelerator probably wouldn't go well, definitely leg
and the driver had a cap.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
On that we're wearing shoes, shoes you probably you should
have had bare feet.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
That was kids were little in your tyroom, remember.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
That when you stepped on them.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
How faithful was twenty years ago, but I remember as
long as yesterday you.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
Left a bloody lego out. West Coast Fever one at home.
The Green Army was roaring our unbelievable arena. They chase
down the lightning. Janel Fowler new Pard star, fifty five goals.
She's a super sis and they've got this fellow Jamaican
defender Katie and Dahaney. She was crucial at the end.

(08:14):
So they're back. The Fever are back back and on
the last nice note for the Perth Glory. They finished
the season on a high note. They will take the
wooden spoon or they've got the wooden spoon down. There
have four wins, yep. But they beat the Wellington Phoenix
in Wellington, which they haven't done for years.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Oh it's nice to come home a winner.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
Yeah, so world don't glory.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
It's a long flight.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
The celebrated on the flight with Beef Wellington.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Can you believe that they play home away games in
New Zealand.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
It's a lot.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
It's crazy town anyway, World under.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Glory, thanks well under you mister president of the club for.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
The playing field.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
Oh very good. And we don't dislike your mate. What's
