Barra had a big night, first with the announcement of AC/DC hitting town and then the excitement of Minjee Lee’s Women’s PGA Championship win. The trophy makes her the third Australian golfer to win three majors. In AFL news, Eagles fan favourite Jeremy McGovern has now medically retired, and Barra had nothing buy respect for the player saying it took true courage to step away. Speaking of the Eagles, Barra reckons it could be tough for the team to beat Collingwood this week. Barra didn’t have much to say about the Dockers, they safely in the Top 9 for the time being. West Coast Fever continue their winning streak with Barra describing the team as blue hot. Plus, Perth airport has been busy with rugby union’s British and Irish Lions and the Matildas hitting town. Keep your eyes peeled for the players across Perth.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
We's Talks four with the Madrian Barrage.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
When you've got to get work here, you've got to
get into work Blobber. Their eight trade stores are everywhere,
so when you need it, you can get it or
check out work clobber dot com dot Atuara.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Good morning, morning, much morning, A busy weekend for you.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Oh yeah, clazy, big weekend, big night, actually big night overnight.
I'm bleary eyed because I got up early. But two
big things happened. In fact, I'm thunderstruck. Acdc's bringing the
noise and Mini Lee she's bringing the silverware.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Perth's on fire.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
The girl from MLC Corpus Christie had a bit of
a tiger mum, because we all know if you do
ten thousand hours of practice you become a world champion
at anything, and basically at Novel Glades and Royal Frio.
She did that with her work with her brother, of course,
and she's now become just the fourth Australian after Jan Stevenson,

(00:54):
Curry Web and Peter Thompson to win three golf majors.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
So it's huge.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
It's amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
The Women's PGA just happened.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
She's gone past the Great White shark shark for her
only won two Greg Majors.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
He got close a couple of times.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
He did choke a few times, tears on the beach.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
It's horrible at the Masters that time, and collapsed to
his knees the Great Man.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Yes, a lot happening in Perth.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
So obviously, and obviously we lost Jeremy McGovern When we
lost him, he got tired medically for medical reasons for concussion,
the Great Man. Did you know though, in the modern era,
so since we've had eighteen teams, which is from twenty twelve,
no one has taken more intercept marks than Jeremy McGovern.

(01:40):
Is the man in the spot six hundred and fifty four.
It was so I reckon he's the best tool defender
of the modern era. And when the Eagles picked their
best ever team, is he at C and a half back?
Is Jakovic at C and a half back?

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Jack?

Speaker 2 (01:52):
You know who's where does he sit in the top ten?
Probably got him in about six or seven of the
in their best ever player. So and he retires not
just a champion lease but also a symbol of change.
And I'm being serious for one second, and I'm not
very serious on this segment, but he reminds us that,
you know, true courage is not only about playing through pain,

(02:14):
but nowadays knowing when to step away, when to protect
your future.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
He's done it for his family. He's thirty three. They've said, look,
you should step away, and he's gone. You know what,
You're right, I'll do that.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
A lot of people wouldn't have that. Would I want
that last three games? Or what that last three games?

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Exactly?

Speaker 3 (02:33):
So yeah, good on you, Jeremy.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Class, because I believe it's a step change actually from
what's been going on. Everyone's accepting now because in my ear,
if you didn't go back on after getting knocked out,
you're a week you're big softy, you know, and people
had to go if you could remember your name?

Speaker 1 (02:48):
What's your name? Bara?

Speaker 4 (02:49):
One more damage?

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Which way are we kicking?

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Where am I.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Close enough?

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Close enough?

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Those are the days I believe.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
That Fingers Comedy Fingers eleven.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
It didn't affect me at all.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Hey, listen, I believe and I believe. I believe the
Eagles are out celebrating too, so Wembley Hotel. Can you
imagine Harley at Wembley getting Yeah mcg.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
That's what the ce.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Bombers were there too, and then apparently the vaults the
place to go if you're cool.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
The vault.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Do you know the vault? Okay, I'm not cool.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
Idea and it's in north Bridge, it's not in Wembley
as well as vault.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
We're heading to the vault. It's the new rumors. Anyway.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Their party is going to stop soon because they play
Collingwood on Saturday.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
That's one versus Adeen.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Good luck against Nick Dakos is absolutely on fire the Brownlow.
If Caleb doesn't win it, Caleb's are wrong. Maybe so
if you like to speculate, the Eagles are twelve to
one to win against the Part two horse race. Oh
this is good. Now before I go out in much break,
I got to mention Carlton that horrible losing the North Melbourne,
you know, one of the bottom teams ending their final series.

(04:13):
Blues fans ropable absolutely off their heads about what's going
on with VOSSI and none more than this fella. Clarzy
is his handles, his name is Snapper and he rang
three aw and Melbourne straight after the match. Is what
he had to say that game style today was disgusting,
chipping it around like with ten goals up and it's

(04:33):
about time members have woken up.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
I called this in twenty twenty three. We are a joke.
I rarely leave the game early. In fact, never we
walked down a three quarter a time and that says
it all. Peace off, boss, get out now, Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Anyway, then snappy, then snappy and snappy, and then ten
minutes later, have a listener to this bloke bobbing up
on SCN.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
The players don't care the right back side. They don't
want to chase I don't want to play. Actually, handsOn
before the game saying that no one in the club
listens to outside noise.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Maybe you should, Maybe you shoult If you're not gonna play,
I said.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
It a few weeks ago.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
You're not gonna play for the coach, play for people
like myself.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
Wait, Boss foot balls every week they get there hard money.
They toy with us.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
That's an embarrassment. Or the Navy, especially the emblem, the emblem.
Play that you're not gonna play for my club?

Speaker 4 (05:37):
Say he was going around the ground, be passionate.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
He just started.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
He was ringing every station play for the emblem.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
The emblem.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
I never heard that one.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
Very passionate anyway.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Now the Dockers, the Dockers and then there were nine
Kilda next up at home on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
And know the home games is how many games are
out of go?

Speaker 2 (05:57):
That's no, that's how many? Yeah right, No, there's nine
that can win it. There's nine teams still in it.
So spots, let's hope they get over the top of
ross line. Their old coach, the wily old coach.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
You've come out with something, no doubt.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
So Collingwood, Brisbane, Geelong, Adelaide, Hawthorne, Freemantle, Giants, Bulldogs and
the Sons who are now ninth. They're the nine teams
that can win it into eight spots. I guess the
Sons have only played thirteen games and the rest have
played fourteen or fifteen, so.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
It's very dot like a thorwy gun'll be.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
Upset with that lost to the Giants because the Giants
came steck weekend.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Mate, So we'll knock the Suns out of the eight.
So now I check this out, you guys.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
So no problems for the West Coast fever record equaling
nine straight wins I've had after defeating the Thunderbirds at
rac Ran a huge, big green crowd and I checked out.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
You know how we're talking about the hotness levels.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
So they're blue hot because apparently in hotness terms it
goes red, orange, yellow, then white chili scale and then
blue blues the hottest.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Oklue blue hot. I've never heard anyone describe anyone as
blue hot.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
That sounds stupid, that's why, because there's no greenhot, so
they're blue hot. They're on fire. So well done to
the fever. It's a lot happening in per The British
and Irish Lions just arrived last night at seven o'clock,
so that's the famous rugby team.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
They're playing the Force on the weekend.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
They have a Welcome to Country in Kings Park at
twelve thirty if you want to go, then Cottoslow Beach
Club at four thirty and they'll be training at Hale
School Wednesdays and on Friday.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
The rugby people will know what I'm talking about.

Speaker 4 (07:38):
That will a crowded anywhere they go.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
Oh yeah, Earth and Matilda's and the Matilda's arrived as well,
so they're training at Sam Kurve Football Center in Queens
Park at three point thirty.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
Is that actually what it's called?

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Yes is actually?

Speaker 2 (07:54):
And I think the great Woman will be here soon too.
She's flying, Sam's coming over to So whether she's there
today or tomorrow, I believe she's coming this week. So
the Matiudas are playing three games in w A, two
at HbF Park and one in Bunbury at the New
Hands over the AFL.

Speaker 4 (08:14):
A bit of sport then, man, we are on fire and.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
I'm just so very excited about December four at Opta Stadium.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
You are you might be blue hot.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
You'd be so excited to be bluet. Will Angus be
blue hot?

Speaker 4 (08:28):
Probably?

Speaker 1 (08:28):
Hope it doesn't go blue

Speaker 3 (08:32):
Down the Thank you, We'll see you on Friday
