Hell of a lot of rain, wasn't it. There were
people at the footy saying it was the coldest they've
ever been docca's members for many, many years. The coldest
I've ever been at.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
The because especially in the first half of the game.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Oh my god, when you get nothing to jeer about it,
it's got better. But it did get better. Yeah, it
was the Taylor two huts. But at the footy yesterday
it was a bit like being everywhere. It was a
bit like living there's a bit in melbourneish really because yeah,
ten minutes later you get the sun, you know, come
out and you get the rainbow over the stadium and
then it was belting down just to start of the
next quarter.

The Sure Report on ninety six AIRFM.

Speaker 5 (01:28):
Well, the logis were on last night, the sixty fifth

that the bigger ward of the night, the Gold Logi,
went to Lynd McGranger, who's been playing Irene Roberts on
Home and Away since nineteen ninety one.

Speaker 7 (01:42):
This is going to be pride of place next to

Ali Langdon, Lisa Milla, Hamish Blake's son Ya Krueger, and
Poling Yell. The Lurgis were hosted by Sam Pang. It
was this third time back for the job.

Speaker 9 (02:15):
It is once again a huge honor to be your
host tonight and it is inspiring with the world in
as much turmoil as it is right now that we
as an industry have not waivered in our commitment and
bravery in coming together tonight to honor ourselves. This is
my third time hosting, so hopefully that's enough time so

(02:36):
Kerry and Kennelly to stop calling me on do.

Speaker 5 (02:40):
I think at the ABC probably was the most successful network.
It had a lot of wins, you know, for the
likes of Bluey and Mustard Dogs and returned to Paradise
and a huge night for Fisk. It won everything that
it was nominated for, where it got Best Comedy, and
there were wins for Aaron Chen, Julius Zemiro and once
again for Kittie Flatagan.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
I swear to.

Speaker 7 (03:01):
God this is the last time you'll see me tonight.
I'm so sorry, gee, and you glad I didn't come
up here and accept Darren chanzeword.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
God, that would have been overkill.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 5 (03:11):

Hello, my darlings. I'm so sorry that I can't be there.
I do have a good excuse this time. Normally I
don't come because I just can't be bother getting out
of my pajamas. But time there really is a real reason.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
I want to say.

Speaker 7 (04:02):
First of all, let's just get this out of the
way all right, I've not been awarded this honor because
I've got the cancer, Okay, like I have.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
I'm getting this because.

Speaker 7 (04:13):
Of forty years of hard work, you know, lobbying, thribing, threatening,
whatever it took.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Whatever it took.

Speaker 5 (04:24):
Still she has still got the sense of humor and
we wish her all the best. Could just add just
while we were literally while we were talking, the news
has come through that Lonnie Anderson has died overnight. She
was it was just a couple of days before her
eightieth birthday. Of course, married once to Burt Reynolds, known
for lots of things, not.

time I was in court, your honor.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
So it's been three years since we saw you. Tell
us about the new tour.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Well, it takes three years to do a circuit these days,
with the way we get around, we do about one
hundred and twenty concerts a year, right, And I'm finally
back on home turf in February.

Speaker 8 (05:35):
As they all would say.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
In the Enjoy I'm so excited popping up for me.
It's well, how cool is that I can go and
do a show and then drive home and sleep in
my own bed.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
Yeah, that's been over forty years of touring and performing.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
You're sort of looking at is it boring?

Speaker 2 (05:52):
I know?

Speaker 4 (05:53):
I was thinking, has gone Can you believe it? It's
gone by? And oh god, you remember every bit of it.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
And I'm grateful for a minute as well, because I
never expected it. I thought what I was doing was fine.
I was just writing songs for and about my mates
and Caldilly, like Mike the Master Farther and people and
and so my mate said you you should record some
of that stuff, and if you do, we'll buy it.
This is back in Carssette days. Yes, So yeah, So

(06:23):
I went ahead and I did, I recorded and they
kept their promises.

Speaker 6 (06:27):
Well they they bought.

Speaker 8 (06:28):
It by the.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
And and everyone else.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
Now your daughter, the Lovely Genitalia is in supporting you,
I believe on the.

Speaker 8 (06:37):
Tour, is there Jenny from Australia? It's crazy. That was
a bit out of.

Speaker 5 (06:49):
Lott make it.

Speaker 6 (06:52):
It was funny because it was both your filthy minds
who went there. Got a nice ring mates. I've got
to say.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
Do you look out into the crowd and see familiar
faces and then these younger generations laughing at what you're doing?

Speaker 6 (07:03):
Very much?

Speaker 1 (07:04):
So yeah, for something that I thought was strictly for
the Blakes, I was surprised when they started bringing their
wives along and now the kids, the kids, grandkids. You
get three generations as the same family. You get a
lot of these days as well. Is the bride's no doubt?
Ah oh yes a lot. And they sing along as vigors.

Speaker 8 (07:28):
The foota Club.

Speaker 6 (07:28):
Yeah are for a bit of cheeky they they are
and why not that what it's all about.

Speaker 5 (07:34):
So you're visiting a lot of country towns, including Calgoley.
Of course they must have a special place playing in
Calgooley because a lot of the songs are about them.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Yeah, certainly initially and even nowadays. If I'm writing a song,
I think that reminds me of such and such, Bob
the Butcher or whatever. Yeah. Yeah, there's always that Calgarly reference.
And there's always a Calgary connection. Every show I've done ever,

(08:04):
somebody said my uncle from Calgilly, or my my dad
was there during the Second World War.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
You know, my grandfather grew up in Calgary. Bol So
there we go. That's today. What was the maiden name smith,
James Smith. Yeah, there was a few of them. It's
funny because my grandmother, she's mister Bloody Wilson.

Speaker 6 (08:31):
It's funny because my uncle went to a lock shop
there once.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
That's interesting.

Speaker 6 (08:36):
I usually I have.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
Now.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
I take it, because you're sitting there with a guitar
in your lap, that you're going to play a song
for us.

Speaker 6 (08:45):
I can do that.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
I love you too, I can do that. Do what about.
I'm a sort of bloat that would like to think
that if I could go back in time, ban Joe
and Henry and even then Kelly, it all because nas
of mind, because they're piss pots, poets and outlaws, and
I can relate to that. And I can relate to

(09:08):
their attitude to in a word, dey gaff and that
means d I l L I d a F DEALI gaf?

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Do you want to sing it with you?

Speaker 6 (09:21):
Do I like I give a.

Speaker 8 (09:24):
DELI gaff.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
Am I being direct enough? Deally gap just another way
of sign I couldn't give a fucking rats ease?

Speaker 7 (09:35):
Mate?

Speaker 2 (09:35):
Do I look like I give a DEALI gap?

Speaker 6 (09:38):
Your turn?

Speaker 1 (09:40):
Do I like I give her?

Speaker 6 (09:45):
What a team?

Speaker 8 (09:48):
It's ninety six f m dely gaff choir.

Speaker 6 (09:50):
Gotta say, Lisa, you mind the word.

Speaker 5 (09:56):
It never loses its appointmance. This last beautiful piece of work.

Speaker 8 (10:02):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
And again when you talk about the people that come
to my shows, the amount of people now that have
got a tattoo somewhere on them. Yeah, that's really ship lads.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
That's cool, and I do need to thank you. I've
had to it for a long time. Forgive me if
I've got this wrong, but I'm pretty sure you goaa
be the gift that keeps on giving. That was a
penis and larger many years.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
Ago, giving a herpes, but it.

Speaker 6 (10:26):
Was a Kevin Bloody Wilson magnifying glass. So thanks, Yes, mine.

Speaker 4 (10:29):
My drawer. Yes, you go on another one.

Speaker 6 (10:34):
Yeah, think you very much, cle Clears.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
He's used it the wrong way. It used it in
the direct sunlight.

Speaker 6 (10:44):
Put the hell out of it.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
I know he's gotta you gotta blow, learn to blow
piccolo to take a piss.

Speaker 6 (10:52):
Made it's smaller.

Speaker 5 (10:53):

Speaker 8 (11:08):

Speaker 6 (11:12):
Told me, Hey, how was that?

Speaker 1 (11:15):
I didn't say?

Speaker 2 (11:15):
Once more Clesy Lisa more podcasts.

Speaker 6 (11:22):
Soon we went out for dinner for Laurie's birthday on
Friday night.

Speaker 7 (11:26):
Ah.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
Did she have a nice birthday?

Speaker 3 (11:28):
Lovely lovely birthdays. Yeah, yeah, she had a good time.
And we decided to go to Joy Kitchen because it
brings us like to Joy and Frio, beautiful Chinese And
we went with one of her daughters and her partner
and we were sitting in the Joy Kitchen, which is
a restaurant, very big, busy restaurant. We rocked up a
few minutes before our time, they said, your time is
seven fifteen, can you come back.

Speaker 6 (11:48):
We were there about five past.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
So there's one of those where you get your window
and we've got a couple of hours window. So while
we're sitting there speaking your windows, the very big windows
going on to Marine Terrace and Frio there, and about
ten minutes into our meal, there was a bit of
a kerfuffle going on. You could hear you know it,
something's going on. You can tell something going on, and
it was people in the restaurants starting to almost yell.
It seemed win. I thought it was a blue going on,

(12:10):
like a fight or something. And what had happened was
there was outside and people probably would have seen the
news story. As we were sitting there having dinner. A
couple of women who'd been at Joy Kitchen having dinner,
a woman in her sixties and a friend I believe
in the seventies, had gone across Marine Terrace and a
car had come out from the side street and actually
run these women, one of the women over and also

(12:30):
hit her friend. Oh god, So you had a situation
where we couldn't quite tell what was going on, but
it seemed pretty obvious that there was someone wedged.

Speaker 6 (12:37):
Under a car.

Speaker 4 (12:38):
Oh my god, poor woman in.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
The sixties with her legs stuck under a motor vehicle.
And from the distance, and then all of a sudden
you get that thing where the police were there in minutes,
like it was really quick. I reckon that three or
four police cars there really quickly, and then there were
two You could see a lot of people around sort
of like the area. I saw a woman and a
man and a woman was running almost running walking with

(13:00):
and I bet that's a medic. She's a nurse or
a doctor. The way she was moving towards the scene,
and she almost went clear, clear the way for me,
clear the path. She's medica. Medics a bloody good life,
that aren't they Quite often they'll be you know, someone
will say, is there someone it's a doctor in the house,
and you will get someone who knows what they're doing,
get them in the safest position possible. This poor woman's
wedged under the car, apparently, and then all of a
sudden there ambo is about six ambos and there's three

(13:23):
fire trucks rock up. They put a screen around, so
you're immediately thinking the worst. It's horrible but what you're
having dinner, and the last thing, the least important thing,
is of course the dinner. But the windows are open,
so you're watching it all unfold and you're just hoping
these people are okay. And then we get home and
see the news story. Luckily no one has perished. One

(13:44):
of the women, the older woman, was injured, but the
woman under the car. They had to winch the car,
winch the car up and to get her out. So
she was apparently from the waist down stuck under this
car and has some very bad leg injuries.

Speaker 6 (13:57):
Just horrible.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
And to see it all unfold, and the people on
the restaurant, they didn't put the blinds down or anything,
because then people would have because people do rubberneck you know. Yeah,
pretty everyone walking past, and it's a busy spot in
for you, just outside for you. So it was just
really an unusual situation to be so close to something.
We're literally ten meters from where it happened. It was
very very odd. I've added a bit of shade to
the light where you normally have a bit of a

(14:18):
laugh this time for Monday morning. But it really was
such a big local story down there. But it was
horrible to see, awful see it going on, and when
the screen goes up, you always think the worst.

Speaker 5 (14:27):
So I'm always I'm a little curious. Yeah, why so
many ambulances turn up? I guess there could have been
two people requiring an ambulance potentially, yes, but six ambulances
did look like it.

Speaker 6 (14:42):
Yeah, And I could have went wrong because there was
so many easy the lights are.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
So bright, but it looked like there was at least
three or four. And I guess the call goes out
and just in case it's something bigger than I don't
know whether the call out was mislading.

Speaker 4 (14:54):
Maybe different ambulances have different sort of I don't know.

Speaker 6 (15:01):
I'm not sure.

Speaker 3 (15:01):
It did seem like a hell of a lot of emergency.
I just said, at one stage, I feel like every
emergency service worker in the south of the River is
all here at once, Yeah, and all hands on deck,
I guess. But after a while I would imagine some
went off to other jobs.

Speaker 4 (15:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (15:14):
Yeah, but I just hope that glad she's okay.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
But those women are okay. Absolutely, what a horrific thing
to happen crossing the road after dinner.

Speaker 5 (15:21):
We want to hear when you've been injured on a date,
not by your date, not by you date, on a date.

Speaker 6 (15:28):
Does this include a broken heart?

Speaker 3 (15:30):
Well, no, I'm something a little more serious than that
in physical sense.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
No.

Speaker 5 (15:34):
I want I want things more like this O Susie
our producer. Oh yeah, she's always got a story, and
this one is a river. She was on a date
in a small bar a few years ago, Alfred's on
Barrack straight in the city. She got up out of
the booth to go to the bathroom. She was wearing
a kimono style jacket with tassels. I know this jacket.

Speaker 4 (15:56):
I love it. It's beautiful.

Speaker 5 (15:57):
Right, we would have looked nice on your date. She
left home Field feeling pretty.

Speaker 4 (16:02):
Good about herself.

Speaker 5 (16:04):
The tassels jack jacket, of course. Anyway, She's wearing this
gorgeouskmodo style jacket with tassels, and it got hooked on
a fire extinguisher on the wall as she was walking
ever so smoothly to the toilet right next to the booth.
It was so this thing snapped her back, the fire

(16:25):
extinguisher by the tassel, and she hit the floor with
the thud in front of her dates and the.

Speaker 4 (16:30):
Rest of the bar.

Speaker 5 (16:31):
Just a boot suffering bruising to her tailbone and also
to her ego.

Speaker 6 (16:38):
The part B is the worst of all and great story.

Speaker 4 (16:42):
Did you see him again?

Speaker 2 (16:46):
Right?

Speaker 6 (16:46):
He's just very careful with your cox.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
He was keen to.

Speaker 4 (16:49):
See what an extra was.

Speaker 5 (16:51):
All right, we want to get you with tickets to
the Living end. That was almost the living end. When
have you been injured on a date? Sandra in a Hello, Hi,
how are you well?

Speaker 4 (17:03):
I'm okay? What happened?

Speaker 10 (17:05):
It was my boyfriend but his parents and we've gone
to a a horse farm for some horse sale. Father
and law was into horses and it was really hot day,
like you heading forty. I had a can of Santa.

(17:26):
They're just about to introduce me to Ernest Lstia. I've
taken it. I've taken a mouthful of Santa. I didn't
know that he has gone into the Fanta. It stung
me on the roof of my mouth, and as Solicia
goes to shake my hand, I spat Santa all over him.

Speaker 6 (17:50):
The dignitary.

Speaker 4 (17:51):
Oh my god.

Speaker 10 (17:53):
My mother in law was horrified, absolutely yelling at me
until I could sting out of the roof of my mouth.

Speaker 6 (18:03):
Oh my god, bar routch.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
Have you ever been out of drink paterra again?

Speaker 6 (18:08):
Surely not?

Speaker 10 (18:09):
Oh yeah, yeah.

Speaker 6 (18:10):
Okay, the sweetness is okay? That wins.

Speaker 10 (18:13):
Yeah, yeah, that's fine. Yeah, they've got invited to one
of those again.

Speaker 6 (18:18):
Oh that's a horror story, that one.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (18:21):
I haven't heard anyone say so honestly for a long
long time.

Speaker 10 (18:24):
Yeah, I remember, I remember it, like yesterday. I even
know what I was wearing.

Speaker 6 (18:30):
Yeah, we know he was wearing.

Speaker 8 (18:33):
And it was.

Speaker 10 (18:36):
Part of it was.

Speaker 4 (18:38):
Carol is going to her friend in that. We love that. Okay,
what happened then?

Speaker 11 (18:46):
Friend Karen was meeting a guy for a date from work,
went to a bar between the bar and the restaurant.
She managed to walk into one of those gaps around
the bottom of the tree where there's usually a grape.
No great, not so great, not so great? Did her ankle?

(19:07):
She's with is just laughing at her. Another bloat walks
straight up to her because she's hopping around on one
leg and says, can I get you a parrot to
go with that?

Speaker 6 (19:14):
Oh my god, that's cruel. It's a funny, it's cruel.

Speaker 11 (19:18):
She said, laughter, socks off stopped to laughed, and the
bloats out. I'll take you to the emergency department. Whose
name was Stephen. They've been married ever since.

Speaker 8 (19:26):
No, no, the parrot guy.

Speaker 11 (19:31):
The parrot guy, I don't e remember his name.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
More Clzy or more podcast soon, Let's talk sport with
Adrian Barrins.

Speaker 8 (19:44):
Hellow Barrow, Hey, Lisa, so crazy morning.

Speaker 5 (19:47):
I think Dockers fans went into yesterday's game thinking it's
a gimme yeah, and then they got a little bit
of a Navy Blue scare.

Speaker 8 (19:54):
The Blues did fire up.

Speaker 12 (19:55):
They did fire up big time, and it's particularly in
the first half and a big scare.

Speaker 8 (20:01):
It was a what's the word least foe. It was
a faux fear.

Speaker 6 (20:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (20:07):
Like I actually never doubted the boys, to be honest,
I reckon, what about year clar this is a new
Dockers team.

Speaker 6 (20:16):
They find a way to win.

Speaker 8 (20:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
My thing is, you look at a team like Geelong,
maybe Colin Goood Brisbane Prepp for finals, that halftime would
not be four goals behind you, one behind, the game
be over.

Speaker 12 (20:27):
But I just I never thought they'd lose. Honestly, never
thought they'd lose. I want to put this on the record,
this is a new Dockers team. This is not you
know the what's what was the flag? We had flagman
and what was the opposite of flagman or sort was dockery?

Speaker 6 (20:43):
I think?

Speaker 12 (20:43):
Yeah, Docs, that sky I reckon, that might have gone
that matured last year.

Speaker 8 (20:47):
They would.

Speaker 12 (20:49):
That's right, they would have lost last year. They would
have lost that game last year, even maybe earlier this year.
But they've moved on. It's it's spectacular, been good since
the Sydney lost even a month ago.

Speaker 8 (21:00):
Exactly, I reckon.

Speaker 12 (21:01):
They've stealed themselves, immatured led by Jordan Clark, who was sensational.

Speaker 6 (21:05):
You have to be leading the dog up there with Caleb.

Speaker 8 (21:06):
You have to be, wouldn't he, don't you? Reckon? And
the dog and then the unicorn is Luke Jackson. He's
living up to the nickname of the unicorn it all.
He was amazing. But how how cold was it yesterday?

Speaker 3 (21:20):
But you didn't realize because until the end of the game.
Maybe the seven goals in the last quarter warm job
as a Doctors fan, but the game stopped Jesus blood.

Speaker 4 (21:29):
I reckon.

Speaker 5 (21:30):
We saw a preview of the Grand Final on Saturday night.
Really Collingwood and Brisbane.

Speaker 12 (21:36):
Yeah, well, well, Collingwood's on the slide, you know, so
there is a chance they could drop out of the four.

Speaker 8 (21:43):
I actually did one.

Speaker 4 (21:43):
I don't think that was a preview of the Grand Final.

Speaker 8 (21:45):
Okay, no, I'm happy that's on. We've got that on
record now.

Speaker 12 (21:49):
But I've just did a predictor, a ladder predictor, and
I had Collingwood sliding the fifth and playing Fremantle in
the first week.

Speaker 8 (21:56):
I can imagine that at the mcg all speaks. We've
got that on record now. At least that's good record.
What about Younge Wednesday coming in Tuesday?

Speaker 6 (22:06):
Yeah, Tuesday Wednesday happened.

Speaker 8 (22:09):
Here going to handle that.

Speaker 4 (22:11):
I'm not going to handle it.

Speaker 6 (22:12):
Well, Will hated Young come.

Speaker 12 (22:13):
In, sut he might be on the phone. You'll have
to check out. He's grind because sorry, SAIDs your job,
because that's what's happened.

Speaker 6 (22:24):
As you're a doctor. Poor bugger.

Speaker 12 (22:27):
He got subbed out in the first quarter. It was
a bit precautionary. It didn't look bad, didn't look.

Speaker 4 (22:32):
Bad, but well that's what you said. Close he was
doing a lap.

Speaker 6 (22:36):
He was walking after that, and he.

Speaker 4 (22:37):
Wasn't limping too badly.

Speaker 6 (22:39):
Yeah, having a cotton wall if it was too bad,
But you never know.

Speaker 12 (22:42):
I think you guys have the only interview with him
this week, so keep tuned in.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
And as Eddie mcgua used to say, a week's a
long time in foot. You're in the metal one week
and you get into the next.

Speaker 12 (22:50):
Thing exactly, and the body does sort of let you
down sometimes. But it was so cold.

Speaker 8 (22:54):
Maybe maybe that it helps or maybe didn't help.

Speaker 6 (22:56):
I don't know.

Speaker 12 (22:57):
All right, let's get onto the Eagles. What can we say?
Open the fans out.

Speaker 8 (23:02):
There quick like a band aid, quick, diabolical.

Speaker 6 (23:08):
All right, some of the let's to do.

Speaker 4 (23:12):
I think they don't want to talk about it.

Speaker 12 (23:14):
Even the coach is getting a bit shirty because I
think he's because now mathematically they've got.

Speaker 8 (23:19):
The wooden spoon again.

Speaker 6 (23:20):
I saw that's coming.

Speaker 12 (23:22):
Second time in three years. So as a senior coach,
you take the job.

Speaker 8 (23:26):
Somewhere they can't get given what they couldn't but mathematically
they can't.

Speaker 6 (23:35):
Eat said and technically right they pour on.

Speaker 12 (23:39):
Minnie Micwalter, he's imagining in your first season be like
taking over radio station and just coming absolutely last as
the breakfast team, like behind six n R or something.
What else is the what else is it to feedback

(24:00):
on that anyway, he is mini big qualter, losing his
patience and just just telling it how it is.

Speaker 13 (24:08):
Yeah, I think I do share that. You for sure,
we're not tough enough at all as a football club,
as a football team at the moment. So that's got
nothing to do with age. That's that's something that we
just can't accept.

Speaker 8 (24:23):
Tough enough as a club.

Speaker 6 (24:25):
Three games to go.

Speaker 12 (24:26):
You don't hear that very often. And the amazing bit
is that he probably thought when he came here, oh beauty,
I'll have brass McGovern, Joey Joey, Oscar Allen Waterman, how
good BALI and.

Speaker 8 (24:39):
Nothing's at the moment.

Speaker 12 (24:40):
Actually, they had ten of the twelve youngest spokes on
the ground, so you can sort of understand a little bit.
So you've got to take that into perspective. Look, what
about the Fever.

Speaker 6 (24:53):
The ultimate disappointment for Fever fan finish.

Speaker 12 (24:56):
On top third straight. Yeah, Now I'm going to say this,
I'm going to put it on the record. The Fever
finished Minor Premiers Vixen's finished fourth, but the final was
played at the Vixen's home court. Yeah, because they sold
the fans in front of a record fifteen thousand crowd
with biggest ever in super netball, fifth biggest ever netball
crowd in the world.

Speaker 6 (25:17):
All the time Fever fans flew over quite a few.

Speaker 8 (25:19):
There was a bit of ice swayed through.

Speaker 12 (25:21):
There wasn't it, but the Vixen's they fed off it,
and our guys looked a bit sort of shaken. They
just couldn't get the ball to Janil. She shot fifty
two goals at one hundred percent. They just needed to
get it to it, but they couldn't quite reach it.
So they underscored and they didn't score enough goals and
they got done by one point a one goal, a heartbreaker.
And have a listen to jess Ansters, she's the Fever captain.

(25:42):
This is how she felt about it after.

Speaker 14 (25:45):
Yeah, just pure gnverstation, to be honest, I'd take out
the words out they were outstanding today. Twee didn't show
as much as what we could out there, and that's
whilst as appointing as it, I just don't think when
a game today and Vixen student we.

Speaker 6 (26:04):
Got so close to the end.

Speaker 14 (26:05):
Man had those opportunities, but yeah, just.

Speaker 3 (26:08):
Wasn't just because classy ye to actually speak.

Speaker 8 (26:13):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I just don't know how. I know.

Speaker 12 (26:16):
You've got to've got to make the money and sell
the Grand Final. But if there was played in Perth
in front of the Green Army, they would have won.

Speaker 4 (26:24):
Just a spoiler alert. The following story will contain the
winner of the Hunger and Grand Prix.

Speaker 6 (26:29):
One one Chube.

Speaker 12 (26:32):
Look, Lee, I love talking about the Grand Prix because
you are a fan, right, and you know, and.

Speaker 8 (26:38):
You were watching and you saw how tired it was,
very and lando.

Speaker 5 (26:46):
A second the car wasn't even across the line closer
less than a second.

Speaker 11 (26:51):
It was like.

Speaker 12 (26:52):
Oscar was coming and he just didn't get there. I was,
and it was weird. So Norris has cut cut his
lead to nine points now, so they're both driving for McLaren.

Speaker 8 (27:04):
And it was the weird thing least was it different?
Different strategy?

Speaker 6 (27:09):
You get a free one on the weekend?

Speaker 8 (27:11):
Would you drive an orange car?

Speaker 4 (27:13):
If it was a McLaren.

Speaker 8 (27:15):
I could imagine you in an orange.

Speaker 4 (27:17):
I would only do it for McLaren, like.

Speaker 6 (27:19):
A Jaffer pink with purple pok McLaren.

Speaker 8 (27:23):
I could see you in a black Lambo or something. Yeah. Anyway,
so McLaren.

Speaker 12 (27:28):
Different strategies for Lando and Piastres, so the same garage,
different strategies. Lando only pitted once, Piastre twice. As it
turned out, he had the right strategy. So you just
wonder what he's going on there. I'd be a little bit,
you know, asking a few questions.

Speaker 5 (27:44):
What does one get to pick once and the other
one has to stop twice?

Speaker 4 (27:48):
How does that work out?

Speaker 12 (27:49):
I must now have teams on either side or competing
against each other.

Speaker 5 (27:52):
Because you know, I mean they're the same within the
same team, same team, you think that have the same
cruise bits.

Speaker 8 (27:59):
That's the question now.

Speaker 12 (28:00):
So anyway, so it's down to nine points, so it's
verdictite for the rest of the season.

Speaker 8 (28:05):
I wanted to mention Hawk's bad boy Jack Ginevan too.

Speaker 12 (28:09):
He got fined fifteen hundred dollars for giving the bird
to the Crows fans.

Speaker 6 (28:12):
Oh yeah, yeah, I saw that.

Speaker 12 (28:14):
Actually has that the Eggles have to play the top
team this week, like Crows they're on top.

Speaker 4 (28:19):
Now, that's what he said, though.

Speaker 6 (28:23):
He was happy with it.

Speaker 4 (28:24):
He said best coin spence.

Speaker 6 (28:27):
Again, it sounds like best coin did it verbally?

Speaker 8 (28:30):
That's the Victorian term, isn't the coin coinage.

Speaker 6 (28:34):
It's coin.

Speaker 12 (28:35):
It was worth a fifteen hundred to give it to
the Crows fans. And he was at the airport with
the journalists and refused to talk to her and anyway,
So the World Aquatics Championships is wrapped up. In terms
of the swimming, our girl Meg Harris, she won gold
in the fifty meter freestyle, which is quite remarkable. We've
got a sensational swimming team and this is all without

(28:56):
Adriana Tipmas, so she took it off right. So we
actually can't second by one gold medal to the to
the Yanks. We won eight gold, six silver, six bronze
without our best Audi on Titmas, just behind the United
States by one gold. So really we are flying. Our
swimmers are absolutely flying. There's a new superstar, Mollioallahan. So

(29:18):
we're going beautifully and ahead of all the big swimming
events that are coming up and then the Olympics. We're
in a very very good position. And congratulations to all
our swimmers. The divings on now they moved to the deepool.

Speaker 8 (29:31):
You love the diving.

Speaker 12 (29:33):
Anyway, Let's hope for the Eggs. They they've got a
hosting Adelaide this weekend at OPTAs Stadium. Let's see how
many people turn out. Turn out, fans support your team.

Speaker 8 (29:44):
It's not that bad.

Speaker 2 (29:45):
