statement in more ways than one, Lisa. In his postmatch
interview he basically said he wants to be the number
one ruckman, So I don't know where that leaves. Yeah,
so I don't know where that leaves. Sean Darcy he

(01:13):
was probably watching, going, oh, hang.

Yeah, that's true. Massive game by him. He kicked an
incredible goal for a ruckman. You might have some audio here,
clais He Adam Pappole called it and Lisa is going
to be horrified the comparisons being made here.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
You had Oziah Dudley. Who's he named after? Anything more
in the Bible? Yeah? No, definitely not. He's only won
sixty eight centimeters. He's a pocket dynamite, isn't he Jesus clever?

Speaker 4 (02:49):
Though?

Speaker 3 (02:49):
But what he had a belt to two two goals,
got a two year contract extension. Just a great story
on the downside, now clears your name.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Pretty fired up about this. I might hand over to
you because you lost your captain for the three weeks.

probably about ten or eleven years, beforehand that you would

never would imagine to be almost the size of two
guys put. Together and he just carried. On he was
so excited to see an old. Teacher so it goes
from our perspective as, teachers it's always so good to
see ones that come back and want to.

ago we would have. Seasons people would write songs about.
Them people named their.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
Bands after the seasons in the.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
Sun there were four of. Them there would be one
in between.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
Summer and, winter thank, You Frankie, Elly.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
And that one has been.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Stolen, yeah it's a bit of a, blue isn't.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
It it is freezing and it has gone from being
like eighteen degrees to. Five it is five degrees And
i'm feeling every single one of, them which was not many.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
When it's five, degrees, Right so it feels even cooler
in The arctic, tunnel which is Not. Carage why WHEN
i walked, UPSTAIRS i was expecting to be nice and,
warm like chestnuts and roasting the, fire and it's cold
in here.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
TOO i expected some kind of change from the outside
temperature to the inside. Temperature and some people may remember
the trouble we had last winter with the boiler which
is apparently being stoked By pippen from you, know another century. Downstairs, well.

Speaker 5 (22:27):
Some of the.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
Face i've been assured the boiler now.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
Works the boiler is, there differ technically a boiler not
someone want to see. It we're not talking in a
derogatory term about someone who works.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
HERE i want to go. DOWNSTAIRS i want someone to
open it, up AND i want to see the. Flames
we just.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
Watch it'll tell you. What i'll Ring pippen, On pip
to open, up put your little cap on and get
out some coal and give it To lisa For.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
Christmas yeah it is, cold but anyway we.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
Will we digress slower for some people this morning after
competing in the rain of THE Hbo run for A reason.
Yesterday good on.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
You you've done, that haven't? You The run for a.
Reason you actually ran a few. Times, Yeah i've walked
and THEN i got you give me a.

Speaker 4 (23:11):
Lift that's.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
RIGHT i did, too BECAUSE i Was that's.

Speaker 2 (23:16):
RIGHT i was done out down down for the, down
for the count for the.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
Ground and you get a medal, there you get a.
MEDAL i can't.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
REMEMBER i didn't make it to the remember you were.
PART i didn't to the finish line BECAUSE i went
to the worker.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
Cup get no cigar for? You Then i'm glad you
didn't get. One BUT i tell you, WHAT i see
the start of fun runs all the time and THE
hb of run for, reasons no, excuse no no different
BECAUSE i see the footage at the start with so
many people packed in at the. Start you just don't
want to clip a. Heel we'll get your get clipped
because you don't go down.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
EARLY i know a few people who did it yesterday
and good on you or the twelve k and the
whatever it is that they. Did but there was one
group that was particularly MOVE a group Of Adam selwood's,
friends including some of His West coast premiership, teammates finished
what he. Started because of Course adam was going to,

(24:09):
run completing a monster fundraising effort to complete. It, instead
his friends finished for. Him some of those friends With
Drew banfield And Quentin lynch And Sharon, Wellingham Matt rose
At Travis Gasper Brad. Dalziel the. Campaign his, campaign which

(24:29):
had reached twenty one thousand dollars Before selwood tragically died last,
weekend climbed to more than seventy six thousand late, yesterday
with donations flooding in after the. Race adam was raising
funds For zero To, hero A perth based youth mental health.
Organization something else that as well as being incredibly impressed by,

(24:52):
that something else that was incredibly impressive on the weekend
was an article written In Perth now by our Own Adrian.
Barratch simply give it A. Google it's his article About
Adam selwood and how it's affected you know. People it
is beautifully written and it says really good things that

(25:12):
you you might want to take on. BOARD i don't
know one thing you may or may not know About
Adrian barritge is he's a beautiful. Man he has an enormous,
heart and he really feels things and he really obviously
being a friend of, his he has felt this and
he says some really good things in this.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
Article that's a real window onto. This Because BARRET i
sent him a message AFTER i saw him on Seven
news that, night and when he came in the next,
DAY i, Said i've give him you a hug now
BECAUSE i want to climb through MY tv and hug.
You because he struggled through his whole as he, would
and he got to the end and there were tears
on the news.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
Desk you, know he wasn't even in his right. Mind
he shouldn't have been there, really.

Speaker 1 (25:48):
And he probably should have someone to do it for
him that. Night but he's pretty. Stoic And barrick came
in here and he was almost as emotional in. Here
he got choked up whilst reading the. Sport but the
way that was, written so eloquently written and and so
to the point without it being About. Barra, yeah that's
WHAT i love.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
Exactly it's beautifully. Written and he also talks about something
that he touched on with us the other, morning the
Fifth Quarter. Foundation, yes he talks a bit more about,
that and that's interesting to read. About but if you
didn't see, it, yeah just google Up perth now it's on.
There Adam Selwood's Adrian barratt's story About Adam.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Selwood, yeah, man all of those, mates all of Those
eagles blokes who. Ran it's a solitary thing running and
you get a lot of thoughts in your head And
i'm sure they're thinking About aniam all the way. Around well, Done,
yeah good job.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
Everybody Tipping point has been an absolute runaway, success has it?

Speaker 7 (26:36):

Speaker 2 (27:13):
Chaos of herding, cats a bit like.

Speaker 7 (27:17):
That, yeah absolutely, absolutely when you're pulling the boys, together Got,
keV tang And dorian and they're trying to make a
decision in a head to head round and there's some classic.

Speaker 10 (27:30):
You could call it. Comedy they don't mean it to
be comedy comes. Out it's so.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
Funny that's what the.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
Show i've seen them trying to make a decision, about you,
know which which extra curricular thing they're going to do
on a, Trip SO i can only imagine what they're
like On Tipping.

Points, YEAH i mean it's it's it's a really fun.
Episode we've got To kevin And, janetta we've Got matt And,
brett and we've got the. Boys and AS i, say
when you've got all these people up on the, podium
it gets quite.

Speaker 10 (27:56):

Speaker 7 (27:58):
Charity, yeah we're playing for forty five hundred dollars three
hundred dollars a counter and and it really is a
lot of.

Speaker 10 (28:05):
FUN i was worn out by the end of.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
Filming it's a different episode for. You it's it's pretty full,
on BUT i guess you got charity in the back
of your, mind so it's it's all. Good, yeah, yeah it.

Speaker 7 (28:16):
Takes it took twice as long as a. Regular that
was BECAUSE i had to keep coming back to them, saying, hey,
LISTEN i need to ask another.

Speaker 10 (28:23):
Question could you?

Speaker 1 (28:24):
Focus, yeah and you don't want the show to go
to four and a half, hours.

Speaker 10 (28:27):
You know, Exactly, no that is.

Speaker 7 (28:31):

things That i'm hearing when you're out about and you're
talking to, people they come up to me and they, say,
oh we love your. Show but it's originally you think quiz,
shows you.

Speaker 9 (29:22):
Know pre.

Speaker 7 (29:22):
News it's it's sort of you, know retirement villagers and,
like it's not.

Speaker 10 (29:27):
It's not crossed.

Speaker 7 (29:28):
Over, no it's crossed over into kids sitting in high, cares,
parents you, know putting them there and feeding them because
it's got the tinkled tinkle of the sounds of the
counters falling over the tipping. Point it's got the quiz
so you, know primary school kids are getting involved in,
that they're, listing they're, learning and the whole family is
sitting down to watch and, YEAH i SUPPOSE i, suppose you,

(29:48):
know in a time when we've had a ton of
reality shows where you, know if you've got young, kids
you've either got to put ear mups on them or
cover their.

Speaker 10 (29:56):
Eyes this is not like.

Speaker 7 (29:59):
That This this is actually, wholehearted good, entertainment light fun
and it's about everyday people having that opportunity to sign,
up get, in, win maybe win some, dollars but at
the same time have a good time with it. All
and that's been something THAT i really enjoyed it AND
i think that's where my, travel talking.
