Speaker 2 (00:51):
You're stalking me? I don't stalk you.
Speaker 6 (00:53):

I drive Pastchennel ten.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
It's on my way home.
Speaker 6 (00:58):
It's not like I go out of my way. I
mean it is slightly out of my way the game.
So every day when I drive home from Adelaide, it's
about three three tlocking afternoon, and I go past tenal
ten and I play a game with myself find Max's car.
And there's actually a few blue cars, like you've got
a blue Volvo, and there's a few blue cars that
(01:18):
aren't Volvos that often get me there that's my him.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
Yeah, so I do that every day. Do you like that?

We all know that horns.
Speaker 6 (01:50):
Hey, we've all walked in in black today because we're
in mourning.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
It is actually Hailey and Max in morning to me. Yeah,
not in the morning.
Speaker 6 (01:59):
We're just in morning because beautiful friend Daisy passed away
over the weekend. Daisy is a goldfish.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Yeah, for those of you that were out there wondering,
oh what do I have to be sad about on
the radio this morning, it's a goldfish.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Yeah, but you can be sad please. It's got six dollars.
Speaker 6 (02:15):
It's Burjo's Burjo's daughter's goldfish. And can we just say
she passed away from severe rotting. It was just her
like she had an infection that was eating her entire flesh.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
It was her time, she had no rear fin.
Speaker 6 (02:30):
So what we're doing for little Sophia, who's four years old,
is we're going to have a little funeral today.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
We're going all out.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
All out.
Speaker 6 (02:37):
Yeah, we've got a huge core flute that's been printed
with her face on it.
Speaker 4 (02:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
You know how you rock up to a funeral and
you see the big easel, Yeah, that's on it. We've
got it.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
Yeah, we've got a priest doing a ceremony for us.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
We're an official priest, but someone at least pretending to
be a priest.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
Yeah, we're all in black Paul bearers what you and
I are.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
There will be snacks of course for the wake.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
Yeah, fish fingers and some wheat cordial.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
It's Satellade's smallest funeral and we'd love you to be there.
Speaker 5 (03:05):
Actually, you are the Congregation Adelaide, so just by the
listening at eight twenty, you're part of it.
Speaker 6 (03:09):
Yeah, we've got some celebrity guests as well, we do.
Did it make the news last night?
Speaker 1 (03:15):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (03:15):
I have the audio ready, So how dare you ask?
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Right now?
Speaker 6 (03:21):
You don't have to fight it now, but this made news, guys,
This is on ChEls every news.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
I can't wait to hear your eulogy.
Speaker 4 (03:27):
All right, it's all coming up.
Speaker 5 (03:29):
The funeral for Daisy that you're invited to eight to
twenty thousand marks to eight o'clock of course, and ed
sheering tickets all morning long. Just collect the four numbers.
If they're in your phone number, you win it sharing tickets.
The first one we'll give it to your ass seven
thirty this morning.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
It's what days you would have won to six thirty.
She loves this song joke. She does. Wait now when
it's all over, coming out of life.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
In twenty five minutes, I'm mean, please welcome Emma, Mema you.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
Hello, Oh it's our favorite Emma.
Speaker 7 (04:00):
No, Hi, Hell are you guys?
Speaker 2 (04:03):
I'm a Memma.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
You are coming to join us again for Carol's by
Candlelight this year?
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Are you much of a Caroller?
Speaker 7 (04:10):
I never really thought about it until probably last year
when we came. We had the best time ever. We
were like, this probably has to be a tradition.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
Yeah, Emma, what carols like?
Speaker 1 (04:21):
When you think about it, you go, that's the one
I want, because I feel like when you get the
Carols by a candle like call up as one of
the big singers, You're like, oh, what's Hugh Sheridan going
to take? You know, he always takes the good ones.
So what are you going to get? What are you
going to get? What do you want?
Speaker 7 (04:36):
You know, who's the priority. So that's totally fine. It's
always nice for people to choose the carol because then
it might be something that you've never chosen before. I
remember as a kid, I loved drummer Boy, Little drummer Boy. Yeah,
but that's a very tricky one for my co performer
because my co performer is deaf. So when we had
to practice these carols, you know, we have to make
(04:57):
sure that they're visually accessible too. So we're really hoping
that actually Elvin will join us this time for the
Adelaide Carols because he couldn't make it last year.
Speaker 6 (05:05):
I love that Osland is so important to you, obviously
since leaving the Wiggles and you became Emma member and
just seeing all these little orange little people walking around,
These little girls are just obsessed with you.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Why was that so important to you?
Speaker 7 (05:17):
Well, I grew up with deaf friends, so it's always
been around, and then through the pandemic, I kind of
started to shift my focus back to my research studies,
which with a PhD in Fine Language and Dance for children,
and then I kind of have just not stopped.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
I love that you do this, Emma Memo.
Speaker 6 (05:34):
You're so loved and so loved that we have a
couple of people on the phone who are obsessed with you.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Yeah, someone's just a little bit excited perhaps about this.
Lucy and Million morph Vaile are you there?
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Yes, we are.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
That's Lucy your mamma, aren't you Louise?
Speaker 4 (05:50):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (05:51):
Okay? And Millie? How Old's Milly?
Speaker 6 (05:53):
Milli? Si?
Speaker 2 (05:54):
Can we speak to Milly?
Speaker 5 (05:56):
Hi?
Speaker 2 (05:56):
Hey, Milly? Are you an Emma Memma fan?
Speaker 7 (06:00):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Would you like to speak to Emma Mema?
Speaker 7 (06:02):
Milly?
Speaker 6 (06:03):
Yeah, Okay, Emma's on the phone with you right now,
Emma Memma, say hi to Millie.
Speaker 7 (06:07):
Oh, mill Hi, it's me, Emma. Thank you so much
for calling in.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
Do you have.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
Anything you want to ask? Emma? And Memma that there
really really.
Speaker 7 (06:18):
You came to the emm Memma concert? Oh what was
your favorite song of them?
Speaker 3 (06:23):
All of them? All of them?
Speaker 7 (06:26):
I mean it was a pretty busy show. We had
Bbe Butterfly, our beautiful friend and actually Bbe is going
to be joining me again for the Adelaide Carols this year,
so you will see Boebe. Thank you, Thank you, Lucy,
Thanks Lucy, thank you.
Speaker 8 (06:40):
Emma.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
We are so excited.
Speaker 6 (06:42):
Adelaide absolutely loves you and for you to come for
the carols is just the most exciting reason to go
to the carols.
Speaker 7 (06:49):
Oh look, it's just so thrilling for us too. And
you know we've you know, as you mentioned Henley, we
have grown to love Adelaide more and more the more
times we get to spend in Adelaide, and so to
be able to do the tour is one thing, and
you know that seems to be an annual occasion, but
being able to come back is something really special.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
Yeah, amazing Markey Day since John Ambulance Carols by Candlelight
twenty twenty five. It's Hathing Saturday, thirteen December. Leo Sayer,

Speaker 1 (07:46):
She is doing a few rosaries in the meantime though,
we're trying to give you one hundred dollars solar?
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Is it about to helium?
Speaker 12 (07:52):

Speaker 6 (08:05):

Speaker 13 (08:40):

and then yeah, if i'm win, i can get into
one of my children.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
Yeah, that's a good plan. All right, let's try. And
when you were a Soul origin voucher.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
Carmen's already got like eight screens open with the ticket

Speaker 2 (08:57):

Speaker 2 (09:01):

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Why don't you get a job?
Speaker 6 (09:18):
Yeah, damn you get a job.
Speaker 5 (09:24):
There we go, I've got computer issues. Next song, Oh

Speaker 3 (09:29):

Speaker 2 (09:30):

Speaker 3 (09:31):
Last fucking Chine. I'm in chains highly bye ta rader.
Speaker 4 (09:44):

Speaker 2 (09:50):

Speaker 4 (09:53):
A leap out of your book Crime day you.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Okay, you're taking it from the shelves. Okay, you can

Speaker 3 (10:04):

Speaker 4 (10:16):

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Wake up?
Speaker 3 (10:18):
Where you are?
Speaker 2 (10:22):
I wonder worry what liked? Alright? One that point? I
love the good Iris that song that I sung Iris
in the rain.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
Oh, I know that song?
Speaker 6 (10:49):
Too old?
Speaker 4 (10:49):
All right?
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Here we going to the club.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
You don't finish the lyrics. It's not called finish the lyrics.
Speaker 3 (11:03):

Speaker 1 (11:04):
Max got it Max in First Club seven and the
song is called.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
Something about don't stop moving.
Speaker 8 (11:14):
Oh the sour look on your face right down, Haley person,
I got that garmen.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
You've got.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Ceiling from Michelle in North Haven. Yes you are. Michelle
can't eat this week because of you.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
She was relying on the hundred dollars. Alright, sorry, Michelle, Congratulations.
Speaker 5 (11:39):
Day is how we play one note one to come up. Next,
we're going to give the first ed said phone number.
Speaker 12 (11:46):
Adelaide's smallest funeral. Today we remember Daisy the goldfish Hailey
and Max in Morning Next three.
Speaker 6 (12:00):
Last week you would have heard some sad news for
our Burjou in the studio.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
His daughter's fish, Daisy was very sick.
Speaker 4 (12:07):
You know Daisy, you know what's wrong with it? I
think she's a little bit hurt. Do you know what
could happen if she gets more sick. I think, guy.
Speaker 5 (12:21):
If you could say something to Daisy to make her
feel better, what would you say?
Speaker 3 (12:25):
She can't talk, Cassie and Riverton? What do you think, Bojo?
Have you not been fishing before?
Speaker 14 (12:32):
And you fill it the fish, you chop it head off, just.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
Buy a new one, though you could fill it a goldfish.
Speaker 7 (12:40):
Well, you can drop it head off and put it
out of its misery.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
That's actually quite a good humane lady this way.
Speaker 14 (12:45):
And then get her a paint of rock and then
she can put a.
Speaker 7 (12:48):
Rock over it.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
That's nice.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
A little grave, a little memorial in the backyard, and
she needed to be put down.
Speaker 5 (12:54):
It's with gentle hearts and watery eyes that we announced
the passing of Daisy, a beloved goldfish, after a brief
but valiant battle with thin rock.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Just a moment silence for Daisy. That's enough. She was
a sixtle goldfish.
Speaker 3 (13:09):
She's gone too soon.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
Though I would like to do a funeral.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
Can I do the slide show?
Speaker 4 (13:13):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (13:13):
You've got a few photos of her while she was healthy, right, yes?
Speaker 2 (13:16):
And then the music's just like laugh is away.
Speaker 5 (13:22):
On love.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
We need to help some funeral ideas for us as
we put this lovely Daisy to rest, Cassie in Riverton.
Speaker 9 (13:31):
Let's do some fish fingers and fish chips.
Speaker 6 (13:35):
Love it because that's catering and fish would be ideal.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
It's what Daisy would have wanted, right, Cassie, Yeah, I
think so. Basket from Barnacle bills.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
We've got Barnacle bills for seafoods.
Speaker 5 (13:45):
Saying Cassie that the other day said to fill it
the fish, and now she wants fish fingers at the
funeral she can eat.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
Do you want to come to the funeral?
Speaker 2 (13:53):
Sure, you're welcome.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
It's very welcome. Oh my god, this this Zoe Sheridan.
Speaker 6 (13:57):
One of the most popular funeral songs is My Way
by Frank Siner.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
Oh my god, so true. My Yeah, that's good, Zoe.
We could that we could do a live performance of that.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
You know, when you.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
Guys are singing.
Speaker 7 (14:11):
I was imagining like Nemo singing.
Speaker 5 (14:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
Yeah, that's a sad thought for us because we are
burying a fish.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
And an animated version of Dave singing it. I think
that's kind of happy. Do you want to be a
poll bearer? I'll be there with bells on. Michael in
West Beach.
Speaker 13 (14:28):
I think no funeral service or traditional memorial is complete
without a traditional eulogy, and that's something that I'm more
than happy.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
To do for you.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
Are you versed in this? This is your job.
Speaker 13 (14:39):
Yes, I am a seasoned funeral director.
Speaker 3 (14:42):
Hi you wow, Oh my god, amazing.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
That's huge. This is big for us. Michael. What makes
a good eulogy?
Speaker 13 (14:48):
I think a lot of heart into the story. So
the origins, the birthday, all of the key milestones to
be mentioned.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
This is excellent.
Speaker 4 (14:57):
Happy to How about guys.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
I'd love to invite people just to remember Daisy.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
Maybe you run into a rundlemore one day.
Speaker 6 (15:02):
If Spartacle Bills could give us call, that'd be great to.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
True.
Speaker 6 (15:17):
Robin Williams, I reckon he would be one of the
greatest actors slash comedians of all time, and there is
talk that he could be coming.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
Back with the power of AI.
Speaker 6 (15:28):
So Matthew Lawrence, he played the son in the movie
Missus Doubtfire.
Speaker 3 (15:31):
He's the one that's like, he's shuhy, He's he's shy.
I love that movie so much.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
It is so do you not love it? It's good?
Speaker 6 (15:40):
What it's Missus Doubtfire. Oh man, it's such a clever movie. Anyway,
He's come out saying that he would love to resurrect
Robin Williams and use his voice using AI. Obviously he's
controversial because but he's like he wants the younger generations
to experience Robin like we did. Obviously, Robin passed away
(16:02):
eleven years ago now, so it would be he had
to get the blessing of the family to bring him back.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
I don't know if I like that.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
I don't like that Robin has a soul AI does not.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
And what if the next Robin Williams is out there
right now trying to get his big break.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
Yeah, some other dude trying to.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
Become a next big thing in Hollywood, and we've just
got Sorry, man, no part for you.
Speaker 4 (16:20):
AI.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
Robin Williams is playing.
Speaker 6 (16:22):
Just go back and watch all the old movies. That's
what I do with my kids. They love missus Doubtfire.
All right, speaking of old movies, Bend at Light Beckham
two could be a thing.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
Guys.
Speaker 6 (16:34):
Twenty three years after it was first released, this was
so good for women in sport.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
Were you were you were born when this movie came out.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
Twenty three years ago. I was I remember Kira Knightley
and a big tea.
Speaker 6 (16:48):
Yeah, she was amazing and it may. I watched that
and go, oh my god, this is awesome.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
I'm going to do this.
Speaker 6 (16:53):
I'm going to be a famous sports star. So they're
thinking about bringing it back. The director wants to do
it in time with the twenty seven feet for Women's
World Cup.
Speaker 3 (17:01):
That would be pretty cool this cast. She would like
the original cast to be part of it, but obviously
they haven't said yes.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
I don't know that Kira would be like forty something.
Speaker 6 (17:11):
Now if she could be the mum of someone, she's
not gonna play the same character.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
I am going to call it right now. That's not
going to be a good sequel.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
No, I think I'm gonna agree with you on that one.
Speaker 6 (17:19):
Johnny Farnham, Johnny, the musical is coming. Musical producers I
said to be racing to prepare a musical honoring Farnzi
in twenty twenty six, so it'll be like the same
time as a fortieth anniversary of Whispering Jack. So they
want to do it before. I haven't seen anything bad
happens to Johnny Farnham twenty two songs. I I mean,
(17:44):
we'd love Johnny to play himself, but that's not He's
not gonna do that.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
He's not very well. It happens.
Speaker 3 (17:48):
I think someone like Eddie perfect.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
I was unaware that John Farnham had such global reach.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
I was listening to a rival stations countdown on the
weekend and they had a whole bunch of people that
interviewed about John Farnham because one of his songs was
in the countdown and it was like all of these
international artists had been like, yeah, his voice is iconic.
He realized that he had such cut through like in
the States and in Europe.
Speaker 6 (18:14):
So does like Delta Gudram They love him.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
Delia Goodam likes John Farmer.
Speaker 6 (18:20):
No, Delda Goudraom is big in the States, bigger in
the States than she is here.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
So okay, we're talking about John Farner.
Speaker 3 (18:25):
I'm just saying another Australian singer. He's also big in
the States.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
So is there a Delta Goodroom musical?
Speaker 3 (18:31):
Yeah, that's in the hot Tea tomorrow. Anyway, let's finish
this to hot Tea on the stage.
Speaker 5 (18:37):
All right, Hey, Ed Sheeron, We've got your tickets all
week with Ed said, you've got to listen out for
the number that Ed said, We're going to do one
every thirty minutes from six thirty. So we've given the
first one. The next number is coming up next. And
if these four numbers are in your phone number anywhere
you call thirteen one oh two three, you win, Ed
sheer and tickets are I get the number next?
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Right now? Do you smoke? Are you a smoker out there?
And I try to really can't get rid of it.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Now there is a new idea for you adult dummies.
Speaker 2 (19:06):
Tell me more adult.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
So these things have been called soothers, and it is
it's like when you fidget. It's like people that fidget
a lot, and they had those fidget spinners to sort
of keep them. Right now, I've got blue tack in
my hands just to stop. For those trying to get
off the darts. There's been a recommendation from one corner
(19:29):
of the medical world saying, look, these adult dummies, they exist.
Try them maybe in your privacy of your own home.
Probably wouldn't do it at work. If I was you
head down at Smoko Koree in the afternoon, throw a
dumb beyond.
Speaker 6 (19:40):
Imagine just seeing people walking in the city with dummies?
Is it because they need something in their mouth? I
thought people smoked because they get something out of it.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
No, it's they find helpful.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
It's people find that when you're trying to quit smoking,
it's helpful to have a habit to swap to.
Speaker 3 (19:57):
Yeah, because in.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
This case the habit then becomes sucking on a dummy.
But so there are dummies for sale for adults which
have got their dazzled, or you can get them in
like black if you want some little bit more sleep,
a little bit more modern than adult.
Speaker 6 (20:10):
If your wife Eliza started wearing a dummy, like, how
would you?
Speaker 3 (20:16):
Is that a massive turn off?
Speaker 2 (20:17):
Poorly?
Speaker 6 (20:18):
Yeah, straight away, Like, there is no way that I
would ever I would divorce Jimmy if he started sucking
on a dummy.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
The downsides too sucking on a dummy, apart from looking
like a big baby include and this is where my wife,
the dentist, comes into it. If you suck on them
too long, they like buck teeth. Yeah, they change the
shape of your mouth.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
Yeah, thumb in your mouth.
Speaker 6 (20:41):
But like so my dad used to like he's the
most healthiest man in the world now, But before that,
like before forty years ago, he was a real big
package smoker. Even more than that, I think he had
to get hypnotized to stop smoking. Hypnotized, hitmatized, hypnotized, hypnotized.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
You know, I know what you mean.
Speaker 3 (21:02):
I hate you.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
No, I know you mean I'm leaving.
Speaker 3 (21:05):
How do you pronounce hypnotized?
Speaker 4 (21:07):
How it's spelled? First? As a start, you guys.
Speaker 3 (21:09):
Are so mean. I hate you both.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
I had moved on. I said, it's cool, I understand
you monetized. Yeah, he did it, he got hypnotized.
Speaker 6 (21:20):
I'm talking about a serious topic about giving up an addiction,
and you guys are laughing at me.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
What else happened?
Speaker 3 (21:29):
My brain's gone.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Now.
Speaker 6 (21:30):
I'm not telling you I'm done. I'm done with you both.
If I was, I'm not even going to go to
Daisy's funeral today.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
If I was to hold up this pendulum and do
this in front of.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
You, I've been hypnotized.
Speaker 2 (21:43):
You never get it wrong again.
Speaker 3 (21:45):
I'm not talking.
Speaker 4 (21:46):
Anymore an education.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
No, it's so annoying.
Speaker 6 (21:49):
It's one word, and you both have a goal with
me because I can't pronounce it properly.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
Oh it's not just one word.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
What else can't I pronounce. Let's have it, let's laugh
at the girl that.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
You know what we should do. We should all get
adult dummies. We'll move on from hypnotize and we'll just
get a dummy. And then when we get angry at
each other, we'll just put the dummy in and that'll
indicate we're done talking.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
For that, I need a dummy. I'm not talking again
for this show.
Speaker 5 (22:18):
All right, you have to talking about five minutes because
the Wall of Truth is coming up next.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
Oh cool, I.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
Can't wait to talk and mispronounced words, Hailey Pearson, don't
you pretend that you are like I'm a little bully
victim out there for everyone.
Speaker 3 (22:33):
Everyone feels sorry for little Pierce.
Speaker 12 (22:36):
Hand matches world famous.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
All deeply personal questions, deeply personal answers.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
It's the all of truth.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
We are going at each other with some difficult questions
to learn a little bit more, Haley, peace, and I've
got one for you today, far away, sweet darling angel,
When was the last time you put your foot in it?
Speaker 6 (23:08):
You're asking me this because you always say that I
put my foot in it, because I do.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
All the time, a very endearing habit of putting your
foot in it.
Speaker 6 (23:16):
Oh, man, I'm a walking joke. I've got two stories.
Two things happened last week. Yeah, go on one. We
got pick one? Yeah, okay. So they're both hair stories.
One is facial hair and one is hair on the
head stories. Which one do you want to hear?
Speaker 2 (23:33):
Can I get any more information?
Speaker 5 (23:35):
Well?
Speaker 2 (23:35):
Hair in the haad involves you that one. I want
that one. That's the one I want. Okay, all right,
actual hair can wait.
Speaker 3 (23:41):
Okay, we can wait for that one, okay.
Speaker 6 (23:43):
So I went to interview the the Adelaide Block boys,
Robbie and Matt, who, by the way, are sensational.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
I loved every second that I spent with them.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
That was so fun.
Speaker 6 (23:56):
They're probably still our jobs next year, to be honest.
They're really fun and out there are great.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
They look great on the ads they do. They're really good.
They're going to go a long way.
Speaker 6 (24:03):
So one is a barber, one is a hairdresser, and
I thought it would be funny to go because I
was interviewing them for my for Hollo essay for the show.
But I was like, well, I may as well ask
him something about my radio show as well, And so
I said to Robbie, I was like, oh, man, I
got to ask you about Max's hair.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
Everyone is talking about it. Everyone at work hates it.
Speaker 6 (24:23):
He's trying to change his hair and get a middle
part like Hugh Grant.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
I was in the awkward growing out face for a
long time. I'm now probably at a point where it's
long enough. I just need one more haircut to get
rid of some thickness.
Speaker 5 (24:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (24:35):
And I told him how my dad seen you on
the TV. And it's like, what the hell is Max
doing with his hair?
Speaker 2 (24:40):
You told me you liked it.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
Well, I can see the future of it. I can
see how it's going to look.
Speaker 6 (24:46):
I don't hate it, but everybody else does. And I
was telling Robbie that and then he goes, oh.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
Yeah, Max comes up my salon.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
Robbie from Ataboy.
Speaker 6 (24:58):
Yeah, And I was like, oh yeah, no, but like
I mean, I love Harri.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
It's great.
Speaker 6 (25:03):
It looks so good and I can see the potential
of what it's going to look like.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
And I was dying, oh, oh my god, I've bagged
his hair.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
What did Robbie think about that?
Speaker 6 (25:11):
He likes it, He can see where you're going with it. Yeah,
he was okay with it. And then we kind of
moved on to other things.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
But it was quite awkward, as you feel in that
moment when he said that's my salon.
Speaker 6 (25:21):
My heart just dropped because that happens to me all
the time because you don't do things.
Speaker 3 (25:25):
Like that normally.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
You check.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
I should have checked. I don't know where you go
and get your hair on.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
It's tough in Adelaide because everyone is linked in a way.
Speaker 3 (25:31):
I didn't know you went to a cool salon like
out a boy.
Speaker 4 (25:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
I can't cut my own hair.
Speaker 3 (25:35):
No, I know. You could have told me that before
I went there. It's your fault.
Speaker 2 (25:42):
Why don't you just be nice about my haircut?
Speaker 6 (25:45):
Can we just put a photo of you on our
social media actually, so you can see Max's trying a
new haircut.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
A new haircut and a black eye At the moment,
I'm really in all sorts.
Speaker 3 (25:54):
Yeah, it's growing out sideways too, like.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
Cool getting new hair because he has to like grow
it into a certain I know, length and width and
all this sort of stuff.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
It's tough, man. I've been in an awkward phase for
a while, but I'm nearly there. But it has been away.
Speaker 3 (26:10):
Don't make excuses.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
He's been it.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
Tomorrow Land can we I'm sending it on Instagram like
Lady's not cutting my hair at the moment because he's
on a different planet.
Speaker 6 (26:18):
It's so funny, all right, can we put it out there?
Speaker 3 (26:23):
When you put your foot in it? I just did it.
I bagged Max's hair.
Speaker 6 (26:27):
I didn't realize I was talking to Max, said Russa,
have you got one of these stories?
Speaker 4 (26:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (26:32):
Thirteen one oh two three.
Speaker 5 (26:33):
One hundred and forty dollars vouchers to spend it by
Yulia Fragrances, Australian made clean perfume mists. Find your new
signature scent without the price tag. Let's be honest, we'll
do some real radio. That wasn't the question we were
asking it.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
That's what it says on the board. What did you
put your foot in it?
Speaker 2 (26:49):
When you put in it?
Speaker 1 (26:50):
It's actually quite poetic that you put your foot in
it again?
Speaker 3 (26:53):
What am I too wrong?
Speaker 4 (26:54):
That's a question for the Wall of Truth?
Speaker 2 (26:56):
Thirty one o two three.
Speaker 3 (26:57):
The question right there on the board.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
It's cool thirty one oh two three. Things blokes do
with their hair that you can't stand?
Speaker 3 (27:06):
That's a silly question.
Speaker 2 (27:10):
Go to a song.
Speaker 12 (27:13):
Today. We remember Daisy the Goldfish. You're invited to Adelaide's
smallest funeral. Hailey and Max in Morning eight this Morning
Mix one O two point three.
Speaker 4 (27:30):
That's on the way. We can't wait for you to
join us.
Speaker 3 (27:32):
Yeah, Max is getting his hair ready for the funeral.
Funeral hair.
Speaker 6 (27:36):
We're talking about nightmare haircuts after everyone around us has
been bagging Max, saying.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Everyone, but it is It is mom and dad and
my wife and.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
Your friend, Hailey Pearson.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
You have said to me that you can see the vision, and.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
You see the vision. I can see the vision.
Speaker 6 (27:52):
I've told my dad that it's a trending haircut, even
though I'm not so sure about that.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
Before seen year old son likes my hair.
Speaker 6 (27:58):
He does like your hair. So we're talking about nightmare
haircuts and.
Speaker 1 (28:02):
We got a little cool Yeah, we do. Cody and
Ury has called in. Cody, what's up, Maxie.
Speaker 15 (28:09):
I'm listening to everyone give you a bit of shit
over the radio about your haircut.
Speaker 4 (28:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 15 (28:13):
When I was five, I decided to give it myself
a crack, give my haircut, and it didn't end.
Speaker 4 (28:19):
Up so good.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
What did it look like?
Speaker 15 (28:21):
Cody shaved it off, had a bit of a cross
in my hair. I gave myself like made myself.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
Bold as a five year old.
Speaker 14 (28:28):
It wasn't.
Speaker 2 (28:29):
It wasn't very good, Cody.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
The difference is that you did that to yourself and
I've I've done this to myself from a barber.
Speaker 15 (28:38):
Normally Dad would give me a haircut and one day
I just thought I'd give it a crack myself.
Speaker 13 (28:44):
And yeah, it wasn't. It wasn't a good ending.
Speaker 6 (28:47):
Is this giving you past trauma us talking about Max's
bad haircut? Oh?
Speaker 2 (28:50):
Yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 15 (28:51):
As soon as I heard about it, I thought about
my haircut.
Speaker 3 (28:53):
Oh Cody, I'm so sorry, repressed memory.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
What did your mum say, Cody when you had that
mum haircutarm was not impressed.
Speaker 15 (29:00):
That was the end of dad giving me a haircut forever.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
Yeah, yeah, that makes sense. Take you, Cody. I appreciate
you sticking up for me.
Speaker 4 (29:06):
Mate.
Speaker 15 (29:07):
No worries that you have a good day.
Speaker 6 (29:09):
All right, Speaking of haircuts, we have a barber and
a hairdresser and stars of the block joining us right
after this.
Speaker 5 (29:17):
Oh, we get an official verdict on Max's hair, whether
it's good or not.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
We're on an absolute roller coaster this morning.
Speaker 3 (29:26):
Yeah, we really are.
Speaker 6 (29:27):
Anything could happen. That's what they say about our show,
and it's true.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
Yeah, anything could happen. Hailey was in the Wall of Truth.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
I asked her when she put her foot in it
because I knew that it was a funny story. And
Hailey's story involves our next guests, because Haley, you walked
up to these boys and you're talking about my hair,
which I'm trying to grow out a little bit at
the moment and do something different for the first time
in a decade, and you said it's crap. Everyone hates it.
Every good turns out. One of the guests. One of
(29:55):
the people you're talking to, owns the barber shop that
I go to, Robbie and Matt, who are also on
the Blocky Boys.
Speaker 3 (30:08):
Robbie, would you tell the moment where I died?
Speaker 6 (30:10):
When I was talking to you, when I was saying
how everyone has been bagging his hair, and then you say, oh, yeah, yeah,
we cut Maxican, We cut his.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
Hair in your face?
Speaker 4 (30:16):
Man?
Speaker 16 (30:17):
What but yeah, Max is a regular down at Henley Beach,
had a boy Yeah yeah, and his barber's actually been
overseas for five weeks, so hence away he's so overdue.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
I know, he's it Tomorrowland.
Speaker 6 (30:28):
What do you guys think as a hairdresser and a barber,
what do you think of the middle part?
Speaker 2 (30:32):
And be honest, I love it. It's coming back.
Speaker 17 (30:36):
It's serving like nineties Leo.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
Thank you.
Speaker 16 (30:39):
It's a trend at the moment, and I know exactly
the look he's going for and it's looked brilliant.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
You get booked on Thursday.
Speaker 3 (30:45):
Trust you?
Speaker 1 (30:46):
Yeah, what can you do like that? There's nothing you
can do when you're in the middle the awkward, like growth.
Speaker 2 (30:51):
Phase or something like that, like a shit stage of
an afro. Yeah, you keep pushing through.
Speaker 17 (30:56):
As soon as you get to like about the ears,
he's going to push for it to grow out that
a little bit longer.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
But thank you. Persistence is key. I believe in these two.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
Yeah, I trust you guys, the hairdressers, barbers and also
builders trade.
Speaker 4 (31:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (31:09):
I love if you've watched the block. If you haven't
watched it, these guys are the stars. But I love
the way you met. Can you share that story with us?
Speaker 4 (31:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 16 (31:16):
So we met maybe fifteen sixteen years ago. My parents
are hairdressers, but in December they ban or family from
getting their haircut, and I threw the toys out of
the cop so that's not good enough, you know. And
then I had a friend recommend Matt went got my
haircut and then never left him since, so crazy, Hey.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
Why don't they let you get your haircut in December?
Speaker 1 (31:35):
It's too busy, too busy, all right, because you need
the actual pain cast. Yeah I understand that now, Yeah, okay, yeah,
you would get that.
Speaker 6 (31:42):
And on the show, I love this if you haven't
seen it yet. So basically, all the new the houses
are new builds this year, so you can't even sleep
inside that house.
Speaker 3 (31:50):
You're in a little caravan the whole time.
Speaker 17 (31:52):
You're not a little caravan, were very said from titanium.
But we don't have the certificate of occupancy, so you're
not allowed to be Yeah.
Speaker 6 (32:02):
So but you guys hid something from everyone on the block.
Speaker 4 (32:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 16 (32:06):
Yeah, we came up with a little idea on day one,
and obviously you said, all the houses are exactly the same,
so we have to work out how we're going to
be different.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
And I came up with a crazy idea and Matt.
Speaker 16 (32:14):
Went, there's no way.
Speaker 4 (32:16):
I laughed at it.
Speaker 2 (32:17):
There's no way they're going to let us do that,
and they didn't say no.
Speaker 16 (32:20):
So yeah, and it's progressed into getting approval to dig
in underground wine cellar.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
The biggest secret the block has ever seen it. Yeah,
it is seen.
Speaker 17 (32:29):
Did you watch last night, Hayley?
Speaker 2 (32:32):
Oh sorry, what was that?
Speaker 3 (32:34):
I was cooking dinner for my family.
Speaker 6 (32:36):
Oh sorry, that's okay because I loved Sunday.
Speaker 3 (32:42):
So I will get on board again.
Speaker 6 (32:44):
We'll like you can watch it today before the next Yes,
I will, I promise, I promise you.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
The fact that you guys have a whole new room,
a whole new floor almost that no one else has,
I mean right off the bat, unless you really stuff
up the other rooms upstairs. Surely you guys are in
pole position to take this out.
Speaker 4 (33:01):
There we go.
Speaker 2 (33:02):
There's peats and troughs in journey on the block. When
we do good, we do good. What's too much?
Speaker 17 (33:10):
But you know there are highs and loads on our journey.
But having this wine cellar, as you said, it's a
complete another room to the house, and it's it's a
room change.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
It's huge.
Speaker 6 (33:23):
How do understand what a hairdresser and a barber know
about building a building?
Speaker 3 (33:27):
Did you go into this knowing anything we will know
about wine.
Speaker 17 (33:31):
I mean I would like to drink wine.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
Yeah, but that's got nothing to.
Speaker 4 (33:35):
One of the room.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
We had to build a room to drink the wine
before this.
Speaker 16 (33:38):
We we obviously have salons, we've renovated them, but you.
Speaker 17 (33:42):
Know, project matter. We polished some concrete and put some
chairs and mirrors, and we've never built a house or
anything like that. So we were It's interesting because in
our industries we know what we're doing. We're educators, we're leaders.
But then going on to the block, we were so
vulnerable because we knew nothing.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
Like day one.
Speaker 17 (34:02):
We stood there just holding each other's hands, going like,
where are we even meant.
Speaker 1 (34:07):
To start Scottie camping? You'se come and help me learn
how to use this camp? Can both of you come
over place the house on the.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
Fire you go, you're in your Robbie has.
Speaker 4 (34:17):
Going on the building show like this.
Speaker 5 (34:21):
Right like you, Robbie Matt, thank you guys so much
for coming in. Good luck you have a long way
to go. But there's an auction coming up, and if
Adrian Portelli, the Lamber guy, rocks up, then good luck
to you.
Speaker 4 (34:31):
You good money.
Speaker 2 (34:32):
He's not coming this year.
Speaker 4 (34:33):
Damn.
Speaker 5 (34:34):
The block Sundays at seven Monday to Wednesday seven thirty
and channel nine and nine hours where you can catch
it Robbie.
Speaker 4 (34:41):

Speaker 3 (35:17):

and you guys are the official pallbearers. We will now
start this funeral procession.
Speaker 6 (38:56):
We're holding the little tiny coffin as we step into
the church.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
It's tough to it's such a small coffin. We actually
don't need both hands on it at all, but this
is the duty.
Speaker 3 (39:07):
Drop it hang on around this point a pole here.
We don't want to drop that. The fishes.
Speaker 4 (39:10):
I feel like and honor this heavy.
Speaker 5 (39:12):
Like the last people that would have experienced this, they
would have been doing the Queen's pool bearing careful lay.
Speaker 1 (39:19):
There she is the little daisy coffin, which, for those
of you playing at home, may just be a matchbox.
Speaker 3 (39:25):
With a big cross on it. Yep, we're in church now,
all right.
Speaker 5 (39:29):
The coffin has been laid. We now throw to the
funeral director to commence the service.
Speaker 18 (39:35):
We gather here today in quiet remembrance to say goodbye
to a small but cherish soul, Daisy the Goldfish, who
brought six months of joy, curiosity, and gentle presence into
the life of her devoted companion, Sofia. Though Daisy's time
(39:56):
with us was brief, her impact was far from small.
She brought light to Sophia's days, swimming gracefully with her
little tail always there, a comforting in a busy world.
Speaker 2 (40:10):
It's so nice, so nice.
Speaker 18 (40:12):
May May I invite Burgo to come to Lowexn to patribute.
Speaker 4 (40:18):
With a eulogy. Yeah, I'm on my way.
Speaker 2 (40:22):
You know what I love all Burgo walks up there.
Speaker 1 (40:23):
We've got the big core flute at the front with
Daisy's picture on it, and it says Daisy the Goldfish
and the Dates of Life.
Speaker 4 (40:31):
Twenty five.
Speaker 5 (40:32):
Daisy wasn't just a fish. She was a golden ray
of light and a glass tank, a silent a silent companion,
a slippery little soul who taught us that love doesn't
need words or eyelids. From the moment she came into
our lives, swimming nervously behind the tiny little past, she
made the water feel warmer. She was loyal, She was brave.
(40:58):
She was terrible at hide and seek, but she was out.
She swam in loops, but her impact was anything. But
she gave us. She gave us peace. She gave us
the casion occasional our girl bloom. I can't talk when
I forgot to clean the tank, which was often. Some
(41:18):
say goldfish only have a three second memory, But Daisy,
she remembered us at feeding time every time. Today, we
don't just say goodbye to a fish. We honor a legacy.
We say goodbye to a friend, a daughter, a floating icon,
inspiring swim freely. Now, little Daisy girl, may your next
tank be endless, May the flakes rain down forever, and
may you finally catch that weird reflection you always chase.
Speaker 4 (41:39):
Rest easy, little fish.
Speaker 17 (41:41):
You did good.
Speaker 6 (41:48):
That was really nice bit joke, how lovely, very nice words.
Speaker 18 (41:54):
Let us take a moment of silence to remember Daisy,
her bright orange shimmer, the way she came up to
the glass when Sofia approached, the tiny bhubble trails she
left behind, and the quiet calm she brought to the room.
Please everyone pause from a moment of silence.
Speaker 3 (42:17):
Oh oh, that's in that moment.
Speaker 2 (42:23):
Enough, that's enough, that's enough of the moment again. She
did only cost six dollars.
Speaker 4 (42:26):
All right, we'll come back.
Speaker 3 (42:28):

First time hosting a funeral. All right, I'm just walking
up to the left turn left turn, ladies and gentlemen,
I mean, if you don't if you don't laugh, your cry.
But my favorite memory of Daisy is we went to
the year twelve formal together and the after party was
(47:32):
so funny. She was so dry, she had so much
passion pop she was vomiting in a ice cream container.
And then she tried to go home in a taxi
and she was vomiting all over the taxi and.
Speaker 3 (47:40):
The taxi driver kicked her out. It was so fun.
Speaker 10 (47:45):
Down to this time.
Speaker 3 (47:46):
God, it was just beautiful memory.
Speaker 2 (47:49):
And oh thanks thanks, Hailey.
Speaker 4 (47:56):
Max is heading up to share his special words.

I actually never told any of you guys this, but
days and night, many years ago, we had a little
flint oh a long time. We had a meet at
a party. I had a mutual friend, Gil McLaughlin. We
were in line for the toilet.
Speaker 4 (48:16):
I need a wee.
Speaker 2 (48:17):
She needed to get in the bath to stay alive
because she's a fish. Hit it off. Had a great night.
Speaker 1 (48:23):
But I was living a little bit fast and loose
back then, a little bit faster than Daisy. I kept
saying that we should have rad Ox muscle soak in
the baths. She said, if I have a bath in
rad Ox muscle soak, I'll die.
Speaker 2 (48:38):
Ah.
Speaker 1 (48:40):
I said, look, not in moderation baby, but she said,
we can't do it, and we find our separate ways,
but we'll always have those times together, Daisy.
Speaker 2 (48:50):
I'll never forget you.
Speaker 5 (48:52):
So touching. Oh, the funeral director is actually in tears.
We're now going to head to the wake. I think
the food is being set up. The fish fingers are
on their way.

Speaker 3 (52:31):
That's what Daisy would have wanted.

Speaker 14 (53:03):
She was wearing the same color as my husband, a
little gray suit, and you know with the fin that
wasn't kind of there. She was like tucked it under,
but it was matching my husband. She looked absolutely beautiful.
Speaker 2 (53:13):
Yeah. She was always so close to you guys. She
mentioned you guys a lot.

and then yeah, and then she progressed and she became
a co star in The Little Mermaid in the Little
(53:52):
but then she was in Finding Nemo where she was
captured by that horrible little girl. Oh that was just tolerable, really,
Oh absolutely, And I think she was oscar bound.
Speaker 5 (54:11):
Do you know she was so close to an egot.
She was just shy of the oscar, which is so sad.
Speaker 2 (54:15):
Yeah, she would have won.
Speaker 1 (54:17):
Yeah, thank you, thank you for sharing. It's been a
tough morning.

from the movie that she started.
Speaker 4 (54:41):
This was her favorite song. It would put her to sleep.
