Speaker 2 (00:27):
Get it hate that number one?
Speaker 4 (00:29):
Good fun, very much fun. It's fun face because I
get it.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Hate that.
Speaker 4 (00:37):
We don't want to find it to show you many.
Speaker 5 (00:41):
Oh we're back, baby, Good morning, Happy Wednesday, ten thousand
bucks again, eight am, Haleum, Max's money Minute, Hello, Haley Pierson,
Max Burfast.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
All downhill from here, guys, it's pretty much the weekend Wednesday.
Speaker 6 (00:54):
Yes, humday baby. I had a little situation last night, Max,
and we had parent teaching interviews for my ten year
old and so we're at the school. It's a very
big school, so we do the parent teacher interviews in
their like their little But then they went.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
And did this big orienteering thing. Orienteering, yeah, so.
Speaker 6 (01:12):
That to go and see a pe teacher and then
it was fun. So they got a map and so
it's Jimmy rocked up.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
There to learn what he's like in English. And then
someone hands you a compass.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Yeah yeah, yeah, not a compass a map. I'm not
as a parent at this point.
Speaker 6 (01:27):
It's about six point thirty, it's freezing cold, and it's black.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Right, this is a terrible idea.
Speaker 6 (01:32):
So we're He goes, okay, go on, go and find
all eight letters all around the school. And so I
ran into another mum on the way and she's like.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Oh, this is this is what it is. So I
was like, appuy, just.
Speaker 6 (01:44):
Write it in and just let's just go up there,
give it to him and we'll go because it's just it's.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Cold and it's dark. So you had to leave in
order to leave the parent teacher into So then.
Speaker 6 (01:52):
He wrote the answer, submitted his paper and then the
teacher goes, no.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Mate, it takes heaps longer than that. You can't you
just cheat it. You're going to go back out there
and do it. And so then we had to make
the teacher made us. I got in trouble. We had
to go out and do orienteering, like seven o'clock at night.
What is the purpose? It's fun?
Speaker 6 (02:12):
Like the kid like he out Alfie.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Was loving it because he's like, where is it?
Speaker 6 (02:16):
We can't see anything in Jimmy's got his light out
of his torch. And we're in this massive school getting lost.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
I could not think of anything worse as someone I
don't even have kids, but imagine you've had a massive.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
Day at work. I forgot We've got parent teacher interviews tonight.
I haven't got dinners or it. I just want to
get home.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Yeah, tell me does he need to do better at
maths and not? And then the teacher's like, okay, now
go for a run. Now.
Speaker 6 (02:38):
God as a family found the whole school at night
in your suit, accountant dad, and then my.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Other son, the thirteen year old, was at home.
Speaker 6 (02:46):
But because we were already supposed to be forty minutes
and we were two hours, he was like, oh my god,
my family's died.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Call him out, take him out of that school. It
was so fun. Never do that again. I just tried
to cheat. They got in trouble anyway.
Speaker 5 (02:59):
All right, two ten thousand dollars two hours away from
now the money minute returns, get ten questions right in
sixty seconds and win a mass give a life changing
ten thousand dollars before we get there. At six forty,
we're going to fold you in to the obscene drama
happening inside.
Speaker 7 (03:17):
The mix one or two point three building. We want
to let you know what's going on.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
You've heard of workplace drama before, nothing quite like this.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
No, this is controversial. It's on a different level. I
deleted the email. I opened it, and then I was like,
I can't deal with this. I actually can't deal with it.
I didn't think it was real.
Speaker 8 (03:36):
Alien access.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
All right, there's a bit of fun in the morning.
You can play along in your car as well.
Speaker 6 (03:42):
I played this game when we just play start playing
a song anyway, when I'm driving home and I guess
the title an artist.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Yeah, it's wonder We do have to guess the title
an artists who buzz in before the other person get
it right best of five win somebody that we're playing
for a one hundred dollars sole origin voucher. I am
going to do that today for David in Manapara. David,
you've just finished night shift.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
What do you do?
Speaker 9 (04:04):
Yeah, I'm just an operator, so I just operate loaders
and excavators.
Speaker 6 (04:07):
And yeah, don't say you're just anything, David, You're very important.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
I couldn't operate any of those things. It's more important
than me. Thank you.
Speaker 6 (04:20):
My favorite thing about this game is we get to
talk and meet. We get to talk to new people
and meet new people every day. This is really nice, David,
thanks for calling. You're not going to win, but that's okay.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
No, he is going to Sandra in Holden Hill.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
Morning morning, Haley.
Speaker 10 (04:32):
How are you morning, Max?
Speaker 2 (04:35):
What are you doing?
Speaker 11 (04:36):
Well, I'm parked on the side of the road.
Speaker 10 (04:39):
I'm not the right thing.
Speaker 7 (04:41):
Yeah, you've played this a couple of times, having you Sandra?
Speaker 2 (04:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (04:44):
Sure?
Speaker 4 (04:44):
Ha.
Speaker 7 (04:45):
Do you always choose Haley?
Speaker 12 (04:46):
No, I swapped to Max.
Speaker 11 (04:48):
Unfortunately he supports the border, but I still pick himside.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
But I am a port supporter, and I know you're
not Travis Boke. Just before we get into the game,
we're said about Travis Boke.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
He seems to be loved by everyone.
Speaker 12 (05:02):
To a degree.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
Yeah, this sounds like there's an undertone there. She doesn't support.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
Yeah, all right, let's.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Do this for you. Sound right?
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Max rock theme today? Yes, Max, Paradise City, Guns and Roses.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
I went get Braine from Guns n' Roses. No other
song in year ten I went and saw Guns and Roses.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
Although it was just AXL Rose pretty much and a
bunch of randoms. And my science teacher said, I didn't
have to do my science homework that night because it
was a Tuesday night and I didn't get home until
one am.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
We were to Guns N' Roses in high school.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Yeah, and actually didn't come out on stage until like
ten thirty, and I was looking at my watch the
whole time.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
It was so late for me. Right now, go all right, y.
Speaker 13 (05:48):
Queen, is this just fairyllo?
Speaker 4 (05:59):
Loo yalla loo Hi Credence?
Speaker 2 (06:05):
I love Credence. Best album ever from late than when
I was growing up in the eighties. It's created. Is
that what it's called?
Speaker 6 (06:12):
I see bad writing rising.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
On the side.
Speaker 7 (06:23):
All right, I get the next one.
Speaker 5 (06:24):
You've won Hayley Pearson, Max.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
Hotel, California Eagles come on good right now, it's good.
I like the rock scene, all right, god, but I
don't know what it's called. It's like, is it bon
j and is it you give love a bad name?
Speaker 1 (06:55):
You're an angel man who drives an excavator and now
you have one hundred dollars to spend on your lunch
from Soul Origin.
Speaker 11 (07:02):
Awesome, thanks guys. I'll go have a map and go
have some lunch.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Yeah, boy, sounds great.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
Sorry, Sandra, thats what you get speaking ill of Travis
Boke Sandra right now, though, I want to take you
Adelaide inside our very own office drama, inside these mix officers.
We've got us here, everyone involved in making this breakfast show.
(07:27):
We've got Michelle, everyone involved in Michelle's show.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
So Michelle, and we've.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
Got sales up on at the moment, and we having
at the moment one of the biggest scandals, and it
has absolutely gripped our office.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
And it started with an email that we got a
couple of weeks ago. Can you read it in a
voice my voice?
Speaker 7 (07:50):
No, like a Karen office worker? Boy?
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Yeah, beer, Karen, go on, how do they do that?
Can you give me a Karen and Karen good morning
Tint Street? Yes, because we're on Tin Street. That's what
we get cold.
Speaker 7 (08:04):
As a group.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
We have so many varieties of milk on the go
and much of it gets wasted. So we're looking for
clarity on milk preferences. Please complete this very quick survey
by close of business Friday, twenty fifth of July twenty
and twenty five.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Then there's a link to an office forms page. Much love.
There's no love there?
Speaker 1 (08:30):
And you know what I was like, I mean this
is drama, but it's not drama. I am interested in
what milk we have in the fridge because I do
like eating seially in the morning.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
Yeah, and quite often here just lifting the curtain.
Speaker 6 (08:41):
Our milk is off or there's no milk, and the
milk that is there has got someone's name on.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
It, and you don't all how to use it now?
Of course, what are you fair called to do a
milk survey?
Speaker 1 (08:52):
When you receive a call to action like that, you
and I treat them exactly the same.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
What did you do? Nothing? We do nothing it we
did nothing nothing. I moved on. That's exactly what we
do to start with.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
If it's a big deal, someone will come to me
later and well and behold they did follow up.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
A week later.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
Good morning, old last chance to fill out the survey
with your milk preferences.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Deadline close of business tomorrow. Cheers. So can I say?
Speaker 6 (09:19):
At this point, I was like, oh, what if they
don't have skinny milk and I need it?
Speaker 2 (09:23):
Right? That was my point.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
I looked around the office and I went, we've got
low fat, no fat, you know, high so, low soy
arm and everything here. Maybe I'm the only one that
needs and wants full cream milk. So I want to
open the survey and I want to fill it out.
So I have clicked on the link and it's asked
me to log in on using my too many steps
radio password, and I was like, I'm out. Whatever milk
(09:46):
I get is what I get. Now, that's too many
steps for me.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
How many people would have actually gone through that step?
Speaker 6 (09:52):
And how much time in your day have you got
to do something like this.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
It's funny you say that, Mazzie in the newsroom. Did
you happen to fill out the milk survey?
Speaker 4 (10:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (10:01):
I did. Everyone was doing due diligence. I wanted skinny milk. Oh,
thank you. So Mazzi's filled out the milk survey. I
didn't have that step to like fill in my details.
Speaker 7 (10:16):
You're a normal You're a normal person who uses a computer.
These guys are never log into.
Speaker 6 (10:20):
They I've never logged into a computer with my work emails.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
I've logged into my work that top twice this year.
I don't even have a work.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Milk.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
So that's where that's where we're at.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
We were like, you know what, We're just going to
ride the wave of this milk survey and hope for
the best.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
We do get the email maybe.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
Hi everyone, Thanks for those who took the time to
fill out the milk survey, not us.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
The results are in Oh my god, what is it? Guys?
Speaker 1 (10:49):
Based on demand and to help reduce wastage, we will
now be supplying the following milks full cream, fresh, good fresh,
not old skim fresh.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
What's another option? That fresh lactose free skim uht really
someone voted for that, which I think is long milk, sory,
long life, fair enough. That's it.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
If you go to milk isn't on this list, feel
free to bring in your own, pop your name on
it so it doesn't go for.
Speaker 6 (11:22):
We really tackle some serious stuff here on the group oles,
don't we.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
We lost almond milk and oat milk, so I think
it would only be right for us to just a
moment silence for armad and oat.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
I'd luck to everyone who used that in their morning coffee.
You just spoke over we're supposed to do a moment silence.
It was a moment like we are. We are remembering them.
We are remembering milks that give up their life. We're
remembering milk. I should have voted for tiger nut.
Speaker 4 (11:59):
Milk, Heely's hot tea. Less one's going on.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
I don't want to toot our own horn.
Speaker 6 (12:12):
But we predicted this last week when we broke the
news at Tom Cruise had a new girlfriend.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
So he's sixty three. She showed me demon Thanks, that's.
Speaker 6 (12:21):
Okay, and just fa a second second, Just hold your horses,
Tom Cruise at the moment, play Coco and Cruise.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
It's Cruise music. You're listening to.
Speaker 6 (12:32):
Kunm anadem armis right, so they're they're together. We were like,
I just think he's very intense, and he's got this
reputation of like really falling hard for women and going
over the top.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
And then they get scared and they get the hell
out of there. Yeah, jumping on the couch, Hello anyone? Yeah,
exactly on Oprah's couch.
Speaker 6 (12:51):
So now it's come out that she's Catholic, and all
these people around her are saying, you need to be
careful because he's going to try and lure you into
the scientology world, which is happening. Former scientologists have come
out saying that Tom's.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Love affairs are always.
Speaker 6 (13:04):
Doomed because there's a honeymoon period with lots of generos
and dazzling moments, and then the reality sets in when
these women go, I.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Don't want to be part of this world. I don't
want to be a.
Speaker 6 (13:15):
Scientologist, and then they run for the heels, like Katie
Holmes did, You've.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
Really got to dive into scientology because it is a
different religion.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
I don't understand it. It's such a bizarre religion, isn't it.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Scientologists believe that humans are immortal, spiritual beings that are
haunted by alien souls. Yeah, mass extermination seventy five million
years ago, and they can only be saved.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
By very expensive spiritual cleansing. Expensive one of what they do.
Someone's got to get that money. Yeah, I'm actually keen
to learn more about that.
Speaker 6 (13:46):
You know there's a Scientology building like on Hot Street
or something.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
You drive faster north, Harris, What is that?
Speaker 1 (13:52):
Uh?
Speaker 6 (13:53):
Anyway we should join. Let's move on to Ed Sheeran.
I love this because I know you love this too.
I know you love Rupert Grint, right, Harry Potter, Of
course I do. Ron, Yes, I love Ron Weasley so
famously he started Ed s she Heeron's Lego house as
a dop ganger and stalker all those years ago. Now
and in a new thing that they've just released on Friday,
(14:13):
apparently they're doing a song together. So after fourteen years,
he's bringing back Rupert Grint for his new song. And
apparently it's fun and it's boppy and they're dancing and
it's great.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Now is the time you can talk it? Yeah, come
on street, I like it.
Speaker 6 (14:34):
Goodbye, He's gone like as it's also like.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
Out there too.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
He's got a whole bunch of different places. It's a
little bit of an Indian theme in a.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
Few of his new music. New Music's New music is multiple.
Speaker 6 (14:48):
Speaking of music festivals, a Swedish music festival has gone
viral at the moment because they're trying to, you know,
get talkability about this music festival by saying, if you
give us your kidney when you die, we will put
you in the running to win a three day pass
to our festival.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
So they're encouraging people to be organ donuts.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
Yeah it's as the kidney.
Speaker 6 (15:09):
Yeah no, no, you don't just get the tickets and
they go, all right, take a kidney. It's when you die,
give us a kidney, and your other organs obviously.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
Rock up to the festival and they body search you
and they take that little flask you've got in your
pocket and then they put one of your kidneys in
an ice bar.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
Exactly what they do. Yeah, and then you get it
on the way out if you want to.
Speaker 6 (15:27):
It's not like a weird festival though they've got like
Charlie x ex Chapel Roan queens at the stone Age
big festival. They're all going to be there. Yeah, it's
a big festival, just a weird way to get talk ability.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
It's a good message. But shouldn't we all be organ
do that? Jonas? Why would anyone say no to that?
If you weren't don't.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
Yeah, a chance to go and see queens of the
Stone Age for what's going to happen when I die?
Speaker 2 (15:53):
It is like absolutely why not? Yeah, okay you from me?
I want to go and see eat them seeing no
one knows nothing.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Will be usable, but take it right now though we
have to pay tribute to one of the all type.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
Breaks the hell.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
I do love dab Wag and he tk araham for ages.
But no, it's Travis's day. Yesterday Travis Boke decided he
was hanging up the boots for port Adelaide three hundred
and eighty four AFL games, which means he is seventh
all time in most games played. Only six blokes have
played more AFL games than him, three time All Australian
three Showdown medals, He's won a bunch of b andfs.
(16:31):
Six years as the captain, he has hung up the
boots the.
Speaker 3 (16:35):
Last three years.
Speaker 14 (16:36):
I've been saying to mom, this will be my last year,
and she hasn't missed the game since then. But yeah,
this years been the challenge for sure. My body was
probably the first to go, and then yeah, my mind
sort of was pretty quickly after that that I can't
do what I used to be able to do, and
my passion for what's next is almost more now than
playing foot.
Speaker 2 (16:55):
Oh, passion for what's next.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
Yes, he said he wanted to become like a performance coach,
so he might still stay in footy, maybe even at
Port Adelaide and do that sort of stuff, stay in
the performance mental coaching. He's always been like that. He's
really driven, like rehabit, preparing himself.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
He is universally loved, isn't he?
Speaker 3 (17:13):
He is?
Speaker 1 (17:14):
And I don't think you can say that about a
whole lot of people that play AFL, especially people that
play AFL where you have such a crazy rivalry like Crows.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
Yeah, you should automatically just hate all of them. I
mean you can't, though, you can't hate him.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
Not many people hate Travis Bok, and I think it's
because of what he has done throughout his career. So
he was drafted back in two thousand and six. There
are a lot of people who support Port Adelaide that
actually don't know Port without Travis Bok.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Yeah, that was so long, a long time ago.
Speaker 8 (17:42):
My god.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
He played with Peter Burgoyne right in the early days.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
He now plays in the same sun as Peter, at
the same team as Peter Bergowan's.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
Son, Oho Jay's plays. That's how long Travis has been there. Peter,
if was nice and old, you could make.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
A case that Travis Boke is top three Port Adelaide
AFL players of all time. There's like him, Robbie Gray,
warre On Treadray and your man Gavin one game, I
would suggest they're thefore.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
Yeah, put him on a form. He's in the Hall
of Fame now. And here's why everyone loves him so
much is because he's loyal.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
So he is a talkie boy over near Geelong and
in twenty twelve, Port Adelaide sucked like worse than right now,
sucked terrible.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
Worse than right now. Is that possible? Yeah, thank you.
Leave the door open for you. You just walk right in.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
They were woeful and Geelong obviously his hometown club, they
flew all of their coaches over here to come and
speak to Trav and try and recruit him to Geelong
and they were a great team then they're still a
great team now.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
If he gone he would have won multiple premierships.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
And he decided to stay and it was like a
turning point for the entire football club.
Speaker 3 (18:48):
I'm so grateful for this footy clubs.
Speaker 15 (18:51):
It's not an understatement to say that this footy club
perhaps wouldn't be here without this man. You know, and
our fans should be recognizing Travis like no one else.
Speaker 6 (18:59):
Wow, that does say a lot about his Like that's
an amazing thing to do.
Speaker 2 (19:03):
He could say no to his hometown.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
He could have gone to his hometown pretty much one
of the most successful footy clubs of the last two decades,
and he decided to stay here. And the I will
say it's a culture of success and I know a
lot of poor people will be like they never want
a premiership, but they made prelims all the time and
they were won a heap of games and a lot
of it. Most of it is to do with a
decision like that in twenty twelve from Travis Bog.
Speaker 6 (19:25):
It's also like, as someone who doesn't love football, I
go for the heart and soul of people. And he
has a great heart and so he always gives back
to charities and things like that too.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
Does and he's a heart and soul of the football club.
He's always generous with his time.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
Sam Power Pepper moved over here from w A and
didn't have any family and he lived with Travis Bog.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
That's giving me goosebumps. See, he's a lovely man. You
can reckon.
Speaker 6 (19:47):
There'll be some Power fans would be crying today with
actual tears.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
Absolutely yesterday there would have been support people crying.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
He is a he's on the mount Rush ball of
the football club and.
Speaker 2 (19:59):
We're going to lose him down. I'm going to lose
him and he is a good looking he is looking.
It's a tall glass of water. Travis.
Speaker 6 (20:07):
If you want to know say give you two Bobs
for Boky.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
We've got to Bye Bye Bokey hotline.
Speaker 6 (20:13):
If you want to call us, i'd others thirteen one
oh two three.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
Port fans, if you want to reminisce about your favorite
moments Crows fans. If you want to say how good
it is to see the back of someone that torched
you so many times.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
You didn't win three showdown metals, he was good.
Speaker 6 (20:27):
I'd like to use something bad about him, because it
seems like the perfect guy.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
We've got any dirt on Boky that's also welcome. It's
a bye Bye Bokey hotline. It's a sad day exactly.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
We're all a little bit rattled because it's one of
the all time greats retired yesterday.
Speaker 2 (20:41):
Travis Bog after three.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
Hundred and eighty four I believe games for Port Adelaide,
seventh all time on the playing list in the entire
history of the AFL, has decided I can't do it anymore.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
It's thirty seven. Time to retire. My body is no
good anymore. He's got up to it. From the outside.
It's fine.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
Bloody is very good from the outside, and.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
We want to know from him it's out.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
Bye bye Bokey Hotline thirteen one oh two to three
police give us a ring with your memories of a
great man.
Speaker 6 (21:11):
Caitlin in Upper Hermitage, What do you want to say
about Boky?
Speaker 2 (21:16):
Are you feeling devastated? Isn't it?
Speaker 16 (21:23):
What a record breaking career, nineteen year AFL career, former
captain two, winner of two John Cahill medals, Street Australians,
a runner up of a Brownlow. What a great a
great role model.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
How did you feel when you saw the news yesterday?
Speaker 5 (21:41):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (21:41):
Happy?
Speaker 16 (21:42):
That's sad. I feel. I feel that he's making a
good decision for his body and family and he's left
behind a good legacy.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
It's the end of an era, isn't it? It is?
Speaker 16 (21:51):
And today I also feel for Russell Ebert. You know,
I think of him as well on times like this,
and I think he's also proud and.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
Yeah, Russell love Trav Russell.
Speaker 16 (22:01):
Yeah, they were great mates.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
Caitlin and unselfish retiring this year even though he was
so close to four hundred games.
Speaker 16 (22:08):
Yeah, tolutally very selfless. That this shows his true characteristics.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
God, he keeps giving me goose bumps.
Speaker 1 (22:15):
Thank you, Caitlin, thank you for that emotional call Anastasia
in Mawson Lakes. How are you feeling about our man
Travis Boke hanging the boots up?
Speaker 5 (22:24):
Oh?
Speaker 17 (22:24):
I don't know.
Speaker 18 (22:24):
I was already crying yesterday all day. It's just talking
about it. It's just an emotional mess for me. That
number ten Guernsey I will you know, I hope no
one ever wears it again. That's his number.
Speaker 11 (22:35):
It should stay from now on.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
I wonder if say happens with that.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
I don't know.
Speaker 18 (22:40):
They need to hang it up.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Retired and is at Port Adelaide, but they could retire
that one.
Speaker 11 (22:45):
Yeah, I think so.
Speaker 18 (22:46):
And the fact that he didn't win a premiership just
gathers me to my call.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
I just he's the.
Speaker 18 (22:52):
One person I believe in football career that should have
had that win and that enjoyment.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
Is yeah, like because he came in. I remember Travis
a couple of years ago. It was talking at Geelong
when he signed a new deal. He was saying his
first year he played in a Grand Final two thousand
and seven. He played in that because the Grand files
come around all the time. Pork got smacked in that
Grand Final and he's like, that's cool. I'll get another chance,
and here we are nineteen years later, never got another
chance of playing a ground and.
Speaker 6 (23:17):
The worst Like you'd almost want to wait for it
to leave on a high.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
But it's yeah, crappy year, isn't it. That's all right.
Speaker 18 (23:24):
I will decorate my house for the rest of the
year in Port Power colors and the number ten, and everyone.
Speaker 19 (23:29):
The Crows are in my family will have to suck
it up.
Speaker 6 (23:32):
Yeah, Sanatastasia lovether D, Anastasia, thank you.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
Fly the flag Miles in Hillbank, Our Miles is in
the porch, Yere squad, Miles. I imagine yesterday was a
devastating day for you.
Speaker 9 (23:43):
I don't think there was a dry eye in the
anyone as a Port supporter.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
Really, yeah, he's a big deal.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
Wasn't such a big deal for your Miles?
Speaker 8 (23:53):
Just a great serving for the club. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
It's a tough one, oh Miles.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
It's tough because you spend so much time watching these
people and don't you.
Speaker 9 (24:06):
Well, it's not just that he's he never is always.
He's always there for his people, you know what I mean.
He never thought he was better than anyone else. That's
that's one thing that trad can Is this a gentleman?
Speaker 2 (24:18):
Is that?
Speaker 6 (24:19):
What if Travis is listening to this right now, which
he may well be, what do you want to say
to him?
Speaker 2 (24:24):
Miles, thank you, mister Bok. Yeah, oh Miles, I feel bad.
Speaker 6 (24:32):
I didn't realize how much a footy player can mean
to someone that's really nice.
Speaker 8 (24:37):
Like I said, I we're a family of Portla. Yeah,
thank you, mister Trabb's boke. Well, we'll be missing you.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
Oh now I'm going to cry. Your legend. It's all right.
We'll find a new Travis boke.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
We'll do what we can and we'll remember all the
good times we have with him banging an absolute legend
of our club.
Speaker 8 (24:56):
I can't believe I'm crying on radio.
Speaker 6 (24:58):
I say, that's what's really nice about port That is
why I chose port originally, is because of people like you.
You are so loyal to your club and your people,
and it's really nice to hear.
Speaker 8 (25:08):
Yeah, he's just a great service to the club. He
will be missed, but let's us hope the club just
keeps him around.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
Yeah yeah, maybe a little assistant coach, he said, you
wanted to stick around to some performance stuff, and I'm
happy to have Miles.
Speaker 8 (25:20):
Is a great mentor to everybody off the field.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
So you're the man, Myles. Hey, no shame in those tears.
All right, it's a sad day for all of us
our life.
Speaker 8 (25:30):
Guys.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
Yeah, boy, I love my guys.
Speaker 5 (25:33):
We have got the buyer by a bokey hotline open.
I'm thirteen, one two three after this year.
Speaker 14 (25:37):
The last three years I've been saying to marm this
will be my last year, and she hasn't missed the
game since then.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
But yeah, this years been the challenge for sure.
Speaker 14 (25:45):
My body was probably the first to go, and then yeah,
my mind sort of was pretty quickly after that that
I can't do what I used to be able to do,
and my passion for what's next is almost more now
than playing foot You.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
We talk footy. We don't talk too much footy on
this show.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
But Travis Bok is the sort of person you have
to talk about after career that he's had for Port
Adelaide in this state, in the national competition.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
So call us your memories of travs.
Speaker 6 (26:09):
We've had grown men crying on our show this morning,
and that's just so beautiful.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
How loved he is.
Speaker 1 (26:15):
Kim In Davren Parks called in Keith, what do you
want to say about TRAVI.
Speaker 20 (26:19):
I was trying not to cry. My mom passed away
ten years ago and he personally like recognized that that
was That was nice. It was really good what he
or the club got us out on the on the
oval with the guys who took a photo and then
he wrote a message and signed a photo for my mum.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
Oh that is so that you got to see it.
Speaker 20 (26:40):
But yeah, he was an avid Poor Power fan. Her
her funeral was Poor Power scenes.
Speaker 6 (26:48):
If he's listening right now, we are putting all this
together and we're going to send it to him, But
what do you want to say to him?
Speaker 20 (26:54):
Just oh, I love him soy much, Like there's no one,
no one could top that. So I'm trying to say cry,
No one can no one could top that. That was
It was the most most beautiful thing ever.
Speaker 6 (27:10):
Thank you so much for sharing absolutely fine tissue.
Speaker 2 (27:14):
It's a sad day, it's a happy day.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
Let's be happy about his great career trav had and
let's do it with someone that's spent a lot of
the time with him. Hamish Heartlet Port Adelaide now the
Magpies coach but he played with Trav joins us right
now more than ham Okay, how are you all you today?
Speaker 2 (27:31):
Hamish? Hammish.
Speaker 10 (27:34):
We've only known each other for like ten years.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
It's like it's like a wake on here this morning.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
Trad's fine, he's still alive, He's still going to play
the last three games. But so many people are devastated
about this.
Speaker 10 (27:47):
Yeah, I think that is a bit of a testament
to the type of character that Travis. You know, she's
much loved by everyone, not just within the Falls the
footy club, but pretty much everyone that cross paths with
him has got a great thing to say about him,
you know, a great story to tell. And yeah, it's
just the top person years. He's always got plenty of
time for everyone, and really humble guy and and well
(28:08):
loved well Hamish.
Speaker 6 (28:10):
This wouldn't have just come out of left there. This
would have been a decision that he has probably been
brewing for a while. How does this happen? Does he
come to you guys and go, what do you think
should I retire? Or like, how did it happen?
Speaker 10 (28:23):
I must an I actually didn't know it was happening
until lokon yesterday morning. I sort of saw the calendar
and I thought there was an extra meeting in there
that wouldn't normally have been in there for a Tuesday.
I thought, something's going on here.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
Now.
Speaker 10 (28:38):
I'm sure trev had had conversations with a few other
people over the last few days, his close family and
very close friends and that sort of thing, So I'm
sure it had been organized for probably the last week
or so. But yeah, I think it cames a little
bit of a surprise in terms of the timing of
it for a lot of us. But as Trevor spoke
(29:02):
about yesterday, like he felt the time or high, and
I think after nineteen seasons that's probably fair.
Speaker 6 (29:09):
You know what it's like too, Hamish, you had to
hang your boots up. You were a star player and
then you had to hang your boots up, and you've
now pivoted into another role. How do you think mentally
he'll go retiring after so long?
Speaker 10 (29:21):
Yeah, there will definitely be a tricky little transition period
for Travs. You know, when you spend he's spent over
half of his life walking through the four walls of
the Port Adelaide Footy Club and in the same routine,
and so when you change that up. That is, it
can provide some of the struggles. But what we do
(29:42):
know about Travis that he's built some incredible connections and
relationships over that period of time. He's already planted the
seed in terms of what he wants to do with
his career outside of football and the type of person
he is who we absolutely find transitioning into the next
career that he's got ahead of him. But yeah, there'll
probably be a tricky little period for him, but he's
(30:05):
got enough support networks around him to help him get
through those times.
Speaker 1 (30:09):
Is he going to stay at the club. He's going
to be one of your little assistant coaches maybe, Haymo, I.
Speaker 10 (30:13):
Don't know that he's the coaching. Yeah, really appeases to him,
to be.
Speaker 8 (30:18):
Honest, But what is that.
Speaker 10 (30:21):
Yeah, he's really keen to get involved in like the
mental psychological side of the game.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
I think he love that.
Speaker 10 (30:28):
Yeah, Yeah, I think he's really keen and he has
done over the last four or five years in helping
particularly the young guys to struggle with form and you know,
getting their own routine and figuring out what's really important
for them, which is what Traub's done in more recent
times that really motivates Trav and I think he's pretty
(30:48):
keen to get into that space.
Speaker 1 (30:50):
And before I let you go, have you got a
favorite favorite Travis Boke memory? I don't really know him,
so favorite memory for me might be when he kicked
that barrel in the first game at Port Adelaide played
Adelaide ob.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
Against Melbourne so many years ago, and I was on
the hill.
Speaker 1 (31:02):
And I was like, oh my god, he's just roosted
at seventy five meters after their Have.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
You got anhing?
Speaker 10 (31:08):
That was pretty special? I just remember I think, you
know twenty thirteen, when at the end of twenty twelve
we were struggling a lot as a footy club and
there was obviously that tragedy that happened over in Las
Vegas with Johnny McCarthy. I remember Trav being he was
only a twenty two to twenty three year old guy
(31:30):
at that point in time, but he grew into a
fully grown man at that point in time and really
just guided us through that incredibly difficult situation as only
a sort of a twenty two to twenty three year old.
So that was something that sticks out quite vividly for me.
But then just that whole sort of two or three
(31:50):
years after that, coming into such a young captain for
us and playing some extraordinarily good football. Whenever we were down,
he would just get us up on his shoulders and
motivate us and lead us, and we pulled off some
incredible victories over those couple of years. And I think
that was that's a point in time where I just
(32:11):
look at Trevor and just idolized everything he did at
at that stage in his life for such a young guy.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
That's so nice.
Speaker 1 (32:17):
Thank you, Hamish, thank you for paying tribute to our
man again not dead, just retiring, but it feels like
it to a lot of us, poor people, it does
feel like that.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
Go on, give him a hug today at the club
for us, all right, please.
Speaker 10 (32:28):
Because yep, absolutely no dramas Hammer Hale and Max in
the Morning Mix one O two point three, it's six
minutes away from eight.
Speaker 7 (32:38):
Don't forget at eight ten thousand bucks, Hale you Max's money.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
Minute turned into a bit of a Travis Bok love
in this morning.
Speaker 1 (32:43):
This isn't what we intended, but we're getting an outpouring
of emotion on the Bye Bye Bogy Hotline thirty one oh,
two three, give us three your favorite Travis Boke memories
as he rides off into the retirement sunset.
Speaker 6 (32:52):
Oh, speaking of that, Natalie's got a beautiful vision in
her head, don't you, Natalie?
Speaker 1 (32:57):
I do?
Speaker 20 (32:58):
Yes?
Speaker 19 (32:58):
Do you think of when you think of Bocy He's
my fantasy husband?
Speaker 6 (33:03):
Okay, what would it be like married to Travis bog
What do you think he'd do in the morning?
Speaker 17 (33:08):
Oh?
Speaker 19 (33:09):
I think he'd make your breakfast every morning, bring you
a cup of tea or coffee, whatever you felt like,
whatever you asked for he would do. He's just the
kind of sweetest man. My husband jokes around that if
I ever left him, it'd be for Travis.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
He walk around the house in his undies too.
Speaker 19 (33:26):
I reckon Travis, Absolutely, you have to with a body
like that.
Speaker 6 (33:29):
Yeah, you just stand there with a hand on the hip,
just like having his coffee in the morning.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
Yeah. Absolutely, two you this morning, Natalie love.
Speaker 6 (33:38):
Yeah, there's no dirt on this man.
Speaker 2 (33:41):
Why is he so perpy? No, he's just too good,
weak clean. Oh, thank you, Natalie.
Speaker 1 (33:47):
That's a memory that I think a lot of women
and men are going to take away from Travis bow
He's a good look.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
This is amazing this morning.
Speaker 6 (33:55):
I can't believe we've had grown men cry, We've had
all these people calling up?
Speaker 2 (33:58):
Is that a Manja Rallies calling in in.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
A second, Yeah, let's speak to Rosie next thirty one
O two three.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
It is the Bye Bye Bokey Hotline.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
Any memories, good, bad, or otherwise, Travis bow let's do it.
Speaker 5 (34:08):
And we're also changing the entire playlist. I mean we
had an access before.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
Now we go green day again. A reminder not dead,
just his career is over.
Speaker 5 (34:16):
A mixed one two point three, Bye bye both mixed
one o two point three, as all of Adelie says
goodbye to a legend, Travis Bokee retiring, still very much alive.
Speaker 6 (34:27):
It's still alive, healthier, livey, really healthy, only thirty seven.
Speaker 5 (34:31):
We are celebrating him today. The Bye Bye Bokey Hotline
is open thirteen one oh two three.
Speaker 7 (34:35):
You're well going to call and join any time.
Speaker 6 (34:37):
Let's start with Emily and Paul Laloga. Feeling a little
bit emotional this morning.
Speaker 12 (34:41):
M very emotional, to be honest with you, I personally
think there needs to be a standing ovation for Travis
boke His last game ten minute mark I think everybody
in the crowd, regardless of who you are, needs to
applaud him and give him the recognition that he truly deserves.
I think as a man, but as a footballer, the
(35:05):
selfless sacrifices that he's made, not only to boys and
girls across our state, across other football clubs. He's just
shown up and he's just been him.
Speaker 7 (35:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (35:17):
Yeah, but he hangs up his boots and you know,
he said yesterday in his press conference that he didn't
want it to be about him, but if there's any
footballer in the league, he needs the limelight.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
Yeah he does.
Speaker 8 (35:32):
Long.
Speaker 12 (35:33):
Oh, he tucks. You know, he's tucked Sammy foal Pepper,
you know, Butter's Rosie. He's tucked him under his wing.
And he never had two because he obviously hasn't had
a dad figure. But he has shown up, and he's
shown up with so much love and.
Speaker 1 (35:49):
For everyone out there going this is a footballer we're
talking about. Why do people care so much? Well, one,
they love him as a football but too, he's a
genuinely good dude. He has given so much time to childhood.
Cancer is a big one for Travis. He volunteers all
the two everywhere. It's one of the actual good people.
He's a good.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
Human first, a footy player. Second.
Speaker 6 (36:07):
Yeah, yeah, thank you Emily that we're going to give
you a big hug today. Someone else that we want
to hug is another fan.
Speaker 7 (36:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
Thank One of my favorite moments from Travis Boke actually
comes from TV. A sports presenter who no longer has
a job once accidentally called him Travis Bike and.
Speaker 2 (36:24):
We joke about it all the time.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
Travis Bike, No, sorry, Travis Boke bike. Yeah, just misread
the auto que. So we're going to go someone who
reads an auto que all the time, big port person.
Rosanna Man's a really good morning Rosie.
Speaker 11 (36:37):
Good morning guys. I don't think I've ever called him
Travis Bike. Not you never heard that one before, Geous.
Speaker 2 (36:42):
I'll tell you about that one another time.
Speaker 8 (36:45):
I'd like to know more.
Speaker 11 (36:46):
We all slip up, I know that much. But someone
who's never slipped up is Travis Boke. Seriously, I think
all your listeners are mailing it in saying that he's
just an exemplary player and an absolute role model, like
he really has been a good person on the field
and off it as well. Just a terrific player. To watch.
For me, it's like he's been there the whole time
(37:10):
I've had kids. So my children every match they've watched
has had Travis Boke in it. And to see him
go and although we knew it was coming, and of
course you know he's getting up there in age, but
you know, for the announcement to come through yesterday was Yeah,
it's a little bit sad, isn't it.
Speaker 2 (37:30):
Oh so sad? Rosie. What memories? What memories of you
got of Travis?
Speaker 1 (37:34):
They can be football memories, they can be bicep memories,
whatever you want.
Speaker 11 (37:38):
Oh it's funny. Look, he's an absolute adonice of a
man and really handsome. But I've never funny enough looked
at him like that. For me, one of the memories
is I was honored and privileged to present his John
Cale Medal in twenty nineteen back in October at the
Best of Fairest Awards. That was a cool moment for me.
(38:02):
In fact, I just went through my photo reel and
saw one of the piggies that me and him, and
so that was fantastic. You know, he's a decorated player
and you know there'll be so many memories there, just
those moments where he pulled matches together for us and
really stepped up, you know, and was this terrific leader
and captain and showed us some great things on the
(38:26):
field and off as well as you say with his
charity work.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
Oh he's such.
Speaker 6 (38:30):
A good father figure to everybody, now, lady, isn't he?
Everyone looks up to him, we do.
Speaker 11 (38:35):
Yeah, yeah, great role model, great role model. Absolutely, it's
going to be a sad a sad match, his last match.
I'm so glad. I'm hopefully he's playing in I think
it's around twenty three. We're off to Melbourne to watch
Paul and Carlton, so hopefully we can catch that one
and then his final match, so.
Speaker 2 (38:53):
We'll be there. We'll be there. Yeah, we're standing will
all right? I see you there? Thank you so much?
Speaker 11 (38:59):
Can I not at all? Can I just mention as well?
Tune into Channel seven tonight, guys at seven pm we've
got an Algall Bloom special. So many people are asked
in questions about what the hell is going on with
our with our ocean, and tonight at seven o'clock we've
actually got a live expert panel led by the Premier
Peter Malanowskis, so make sure you tune into that and
(39:21):
real questions from real South Australians who just want to
know what the hell is going on and will attempt
to get those answers tonight at seven on seven.
Speaker 1 (39:31):
I just want to know if I'm going to see
Travis Pokin Espidos on the beach this summer. That's all
they will if the Augill blow is no good any
of us.
Speaker 11 (39:38):
Quite seriously, we're going to see any of us on
the beach this summer.
Speaker 1 (39:42):
Thank you, Rosie, We'll see you on the beach on
the TV this evening, Go to power, Thank.
Speaker 7 (39:46):
You, bye thanks Channel sevens or is that a Managerilli?
Speaker 5 (39:49):
That's been the bye bye Bokey hotline? Thirteen one oh
two three. That's our number, Mix one O two point
three Haley Max in the morning normally doing the Money
Minute for ten thousand dollars right now, but we are
going to pause.
Speaker 7 (40:00):
That for just one second.
Speaker 1 (40:01):
There are certain circumstances and certain calls you have to
pause regular programming for, and when the Premier calls to
talk about a football that's one of those circumstances.
Speaker 2 (40:10):
We will play the Money Minute in one second.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
It's going to happen. But first, Peter Malon ask everyone
please be outstanding. Peter Malon, thank you for your time.
Speaker 17 (40:21):
Well, the only person we should be tipping our hat
to this morning is is Boky. I mean, three hundred
and eighty four games. It's a pretty amazing record, and
I heard you having a chat about it before.
Speaker 8 (40:31):
I can't help but pay.
Speaker 17 (40:33):
Tribute to I mean, even if you're a Crows fan,
you've got to got to acknowledge how this level of
longevity only comes with extraordinary resilience. And he is a
star and it'll be hard to replicate him.
Speaker 6 (40:48):
Yeah, Malli, do you think that maybe we should have
like a public holiday for Yeah, we should all have
that off.
Speaker 3 (40:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (41:00):
Look, you're clutching it.
Speaker 17 (41:03):
You're clutching at my heart here here, I no, look, look,
but I don't know how you recognize someone whose contribution
has been as steadfast as this, has just been so
consistent for such a long period of time, like in
a in a cutthroat industry, like players come and go,
coaches get you know, come and go pretty quickly. But
(41:24):
between him and Ken, they've stood the test of time.
And I've got nothing but regard to that.
Speaker 1 (41:29):
Pete, you are a big port man. I know you
like to go along to the games when you can.
Do you have any memories of Travis that really stand
out on the field.
Speaker 17 (41:40):
There's a few showdowns there where he really came to
the fore, particularly sort of in the first part of
Ken's journey, and there's too many occasions to think of
where he's just provided that steadying hand when like you know,
the opposition in April, foot of the opposition is always
going to get a run on it at some point
another And here's the book, here's the bloke that you
(42:00):
want the ball in the hands of just to calm
things down and bring back the tempo of the game
on your terms.
Speaker 8 (42:06):
And like that.
Speaker 17 (42:08):
There are countless of occasions where we're where we've seen that,
but particularly couple of those showdowns where he won the
showdown Metal between.
Speaker 8 (42:15):
Him and Robbie Gray.
Speaker 17 (42:16):
There are occasions they want it on their own and
there they're irresistible memories, but unfortunately at the moment they're
just their only memories.
Speaker 2 (42:27):
Yeah, got that flag in the last year would have
been good for him.
Speaker 6 (42:31):
We all wanted it, but not to be Peter mallanows,
guess you've called through you love Travis Bok.
Speaker 2 (42:37):
Have you ever had like a beer with him? Just
the two of you are your mates.
Speaker 8 (42:42):
I've met both in cop of Ans.
Speaker 17 (42:43):
I don't think I've had a chance to have a
frothy with him as a professional, and I don't.
Speaker 8 (42:49):
I can't.
Speaker 17 (42:49):
I can't profess to have had that, but I've certainly
sort of know how well regarded he is with everyone
that you know engages him, particularly as.
Speaker 8 (42:57):
A leader on field and off field.
Speaker 17 (42:59):
I mean long as seven captain of the club. You know,
on all accounts, people thought he was out of here.
Speaker 7 (43:05):
I remember when that.
Speaker 17 (43:06):
Was happening, because if we lost both at that particularly point, Tom,
I felt like hope might have been lost. And instead
he stayed true at one cold player and I don't
think we see enough of that in me after all
these days.
Speaker 1 (43:16):
No exactly, bad luck you are along. He's our man
and he would have won a lot of flags that gelong.
But that's okay, because guy, hey, before we let you go, Premier,
do you have Travis Poke's number and did you message him?
And has he replied to you? Because I've messaged him
and he hasn't replied to me.
Speaker 17 (43:33):
Well, now that I know that Max, I'll definitely fly
off a text, but I'll let you know.
Speaker 6 (43:37):
Let's see who he replies to you first.
Speaker 1 (43:40):
I don't think I'm on quite the same level as
the Premier, but I just thought it would be interested
to know if he fired.
Speaker 8 (43:46):
I'll keep you in the loop.
Speaker 6 (43:49):
Malanowskas, thank you for calling for you. We know you're
the biggest port fan and we love you.
Speaker 7 (43:54):
No worries.
Speaker 8 (43:54):
Thanks, guys, appreciate it.
Speaker 7 (43:55):
You all right, thank you, Malie. Hey to me for
Alberton and you want to play the money.
Speaker 1 (43:59):
Minute ten thousand dollars, you know what's making You're going
to get a chance to do it, but because the
Premier just interrupted, you're just gonna have to wait a
couple of minut.
Speaker 2 (44:08):
Yeah, can you do that? No worries about We're.
Speaker 7 (44:11):

Speaker 5 (44:12):

one or two point three at about eight forty five
this morning.
Speaker 7 (44:30):
I cannot believe what's happening. It's so bad we just
have to share it with you.
Speaker 2 (44:35):
Ten questions sixty.
Speaker 4 (44:37):
Seconds, one thousand dollars okay, alien Max's money minute.
Speaker 6 (44:43):

down there for Travis bog.
Speaker 2 (44:53):
Oh, pretty much, it's a dark day.
Speaker 6 (44:54):
It's a dark day, but maybe not for you because
you might be about to win.
Speaker 2 (44:58):
Well, you are about to win ten thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (45:00):
Easy, use that ten question sixty seconds, get them all
right to make her win that money.
Speaker 2 (45:05):
The rules, Tamika are ten questions sixty seconds. Maxter said,
you can pass on a question, but.
Speaker 6 (45:10):
We'll always come back to it at the end, all right,
and we have to accept your first answer.
Speaker 2 (45:16):
All right, all right, Tamiki, you ready to get this?
Speaker 8 (45:19):
Are ready?
Speaker 2 (45:19):

about Boky and she's like, no one's ever mentioned his smell.
Speaker 2 (48:07):
He smells the what does he smell like?
Speaker 6 (48:10):
Oh no, she just said, when he used to come here,
she would sniff him and go.
Speaker 8 (48:13):

Speaker 2 (48:15):
That's good. Leave an aura as he left the room.
Pheromones are good.
Speaker 5 (48:20):
She's nodding in the other studio provm Gannio Fructas.
Speaker 2 (48:25):
Yeah a dupe, Yeah, Odor of Bogy.
Speaker 1 (48:30):
We're a little bit distracted because we have been talking
about Travis Bok, one of the most beautiful men physically
and mentally, and his retirement. He's hung up the boots.
Port Adelaide legend and all of Adelaide this morning has
joined us in remembering again, still alive, but remembering the
career of Travis Bote. Yesterday, Travis Bogue decided he was
(48:51):
hanging up the boots for Port Adelaide. Three hundred and
eighty four AFL games, seventh all time in most games played,
three time all Australian, three Showdown medals, six years as
the captain, he has hung up the boots.
Speaker 21 (49:05):
Travis Bok says his body just doesn't have any more
to give as he prepares to say goodbye to footy.
Speaker 14 (49:11):
Last three years, I've been saying to Mam, this will
be my last year, and she hasn't missed the game
since then. But my body was probably the first to go,
and then yeah, my mind was pretty quickly after that.
Speaker 3 (49:20):
I can't do what I used to be able to do.
Speaker 21 (49:22):
He'll Phail will Alberton along with coach Kenna Henckley as
they both get ready to leave the club together.
Speaker 15 (49:27):
It's not an understatement to say that his footy club
perhaps wouldn't be here.
Speaker 7 (49:31):
Without this man.
Speaker 15 (49:31):
You know, and our fans should be recognizing Travis like
no one else.
Speaker 1 (49:35):
He's a heart and soul football club and we're going
to lose him now.
Speaker 3 (49:38):
They just don't come as strong as spoke.
Speaker 6 (49:41):
Travis is a very special buyer, but an even more
inspirational person.
Speaker 3 (49:45):
I'm so grateful for this footy club.
Speaker 5 (49:48):
Three hundred and eighty four games are pure fus swoots.
Speaker 3 (49:52):
You're watch scarting on of the tour p there was
there was a point of feeling too.
Speaker 7 (49:56):
Is that there is nothing else would in than this.
Speaker 2 (49:59):
He is universally loved.
Speaker 16 (50:00):
What a record breaking career of the nineteen year AFL career.
Speaker 11 (50:04):
Talking about it, it's just an emotional mess for me.
That number ten good. I hope no one ever wears
it again.
Speaker 3 (50:10):
That's his number.
Speaker 8 (50:11):
That's a tough one. Thank you, mister Boch.
Speaker 2 (50:14):
Peter Mellan ounce ess you've called through your love tavest.
Speaker 17 (50:18):
Boat or the only person we should be chipping our
hat to this morning is choking. Even if you're a
Crow team, you've got to acknowledge this level of longevity
only comes with extraordinary resilience.
Speaker 8 (50:28):
And he is a star and it be hard to
replicate him.
Speaker 4 (50:31):
It's a chance.
Speaker 10 (50:32):
Got both about forty five text towards goal shops, so
sociable from Thomas.
Speaker 2 (50:40):
Part given is everything's.
Speaker 4 (50:42):
Hard, body souls in this great club.
Speaker 3 (50:45):
It's the end of an error.
Speaker 2 (50:48):
I love you both. He God, I've made a song
for it.
Speaker 5 (50:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (50:54):
I'm just so happy that we had all these people
call us today with so many beautiful memories of his
man and most of them weren't even talking about his
footy career.
Speaker 2 (51:03):
It was about who he is as a human being. Yeah,
and that says something does a lot for childhood. Chance,
he does a lot for the community. Still alive, Yeah again,
still alive and only thirty seven. Yeah, but we will
miss him as a footballer. Travis Boke, what an legend.
Speaker 8 (51:20):
Yeah,
