a good one the other day.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Every single time you see a map that is like, okay,
this is the radius to a bad thing happening.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Adelaide is pretty much the furthest away.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
We're so far from anything. No one cares about us,
and I love that.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
It was one of the other day that was just like,
here is Israel's like long range missile capabilities, but where
Israel could launch a nuclear weapon? And there's honestly ninety
eight percent of the world is shaded. Yeah, Adelaide and Melbourne, Tasmania.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
That's fine.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
They're like, who's Adelaide?
Speaker 2 (01:55):
We don't care. What's absolutely fine.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
I love not being known.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
It's so good. Hate adlaid radar.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
Nobody put your head up, all right, nobody say anything.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
Wie.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Guys, don't you tell anyone in Israel, Raan, the US
about us.
Speaker 2 (02:08):

So there you go. We're giving you both locations a
bit of a heads up. Therefore, no need to.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
Footy boots in the ark hardwood floors. Basketball course.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
We've got a whole bunch of.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Stuff going on in the Middle East, and if you've
woken up this morning you may have a scene already.
Iran has retaliated against the US. There's been a missile
attack on a US based in Guitar. Doesn't appear to
have got through, doesn't appear to have hurt anyone.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
But hey, what would I know when we.
Speaker 5 (03:51):
Can go to Yes, can't be our correspondent, man.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
This is US correspondent and knows a whole lot more
than me. Miley Hogan joins us. Now, Miley, good morning.
Can you tell us so we all stuffed? Or what?
Speaker 8 (04:04):
Good morning? Guys? Well, as you mentioned, if you're just
waking up, then you will be seeing course that Iran
has retaliated. The whole world really has been watching to
see what Iran would do. When it's made its move.
It has attacked a US air base in Katar called Luded.
Now it does appear to be quite a limited attack.
The Staria defenses were able to intercept those missiles according
(04:27):
to the Katari government. US Defense Department here says there's
been no injuries and very minimal damage as well, and
we have heard from US President Donald Trump. We're outside
the over office.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
At the moment.
Speaker 8 (04:39):
We can see the marine in the marine outside, which
means he's still in that west wing. He did have
a meeting with his national security team. He's hit a
message on his social media platform saying that Iran has
officially responded to our obliteration of their nuclear facilities with
a very weak response, which we expected and have very
effectively counted. There have been fourteen missiles fired, thirteen were
(05:02):
knocked down, and one was set free.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
See, so it.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Doesn't sound like it's actually got through. It's more just
a is what could have happened over there?
Speaker 8 (05:10):
Yeah, the best going to look at this is it
does really appear like a symbolic attack from Iran. They
had to appear as if they were responding to America's
strikes on its nuclear facilities, and Iran has said we
will not leave any attack. Iran will not leave any
attack on its sovereignty unanswered. But it does appear that
they could be looking for an off ramp here to
(05:33):
get out of this escalating situation and come to the
negotiating At the same time, that's good Donald Trump. At
the same time, Donald Trump in that same message hasn't
threatened retaliation, which we have heard from him in previous days,
saying that any attack on US forces would be met
with force in itself. But this message on social media says,
(05:56):
most importantly, they've gotten it all out of their system
and there will hopefully be no further hate. So it'll
be interesting to see where this develops.
Speaker 4 (06:05):
From the up.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
Does Iran have many mates in all of the everything
that I read appears to be a different country condemning
Iran the whole way, through which to me, someone on
the outside goes. I mean, it's going to be fine
in the end, because at the end of the day,
it's going to be everyone ganging up on Iran.
Speaker 8 (06:23):
Well, Iran's foreign minister was just a meeting with Russia's
president Vladimir Putin. They have Russia as a friend in this,
but Russia's president did stop short of going all the
way and supporting them, so that will be interesting. I mean,
Russia has its own war on its has at the moment,
so I don't think they would come to the table here,
but they are Iran's friends. Irana course has proxies as
(06:46):
well throughout the Middle East, but they have all been
significantly weakened over the past two years, those militias. So
the capability for Iran to respond here is really something
that people are looking at. And when it comes to
this attack that's just taken place overnight. They did use
short and medium range missiles that have been, according to
(07:08):
US FILS, quite easily intersected.
Speaker 5 (07:10):
Look, you might not have the answer for everything, but
Max's wife is currently overseas and flying through Dubai on
her way home on Qatar airways.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
She'll be on Dubai airways. But yeah, there are some
people stuck in guitar. Yeah, I believe.
Speaker 8 (07:23):
Look, I would say, make sure you're checking your flights.
Speaker 9 (07:25):
I have.
Speaker 8 (07:26):
Just before I came on air, I did see some
reports that Quantus was turning some flights around that were
on their way to the UK. You'll have to double
check that for me. I only just saw that coming up.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
Miley, have you got any tips for a man whose
wife usually does most of the cooking and now she's
going to be away from you for a little bit
longer because of delayed flights.
Speaker 8 (07:45):
Not to plug it, but uber eats.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
You're a real person.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
It's so interesting making sense of the things that we've
struggled to. Miley Hogan.
Speaker 4 (07:55):
Thank you so much, and you can check out the
full story tonight in the News seven years at six.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
Thank you, Miley Hogan.
Speaker 5 (08:06):

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Yes, it is fine. My mother enjoys this game. I
know she listens at this time of the morning.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
She says. I went to the house with dinner last night,
and she said that Google game you played a few
weeks ago. That was terrible. This one note one the game,
though she loves us.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
I totally agree. That was an awful game.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
String it out for the week we tried.
Speaker 6 (09:23):
We're embarrassing ourselves doing a crappy game, and.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
I don't want to do that.

without admirins.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Exactly right.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
Yeah, those spreadsheets ain't going to spread themselves.
Speaker 2 (09:49):

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Shake Oh, don't feel.
Speaker 13 (10:12):
It, give it to you every time doing it.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
Stop doing it? Shake up your life?
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Man, I got it? You even know what the song was?
Speaker 2 (10:32):
On the bear it appears that I'm winning one meal? Okay,
next one? What is that.
Speaker 5 (10:38):

Speaker 2 (10:40):
I don't know the artists. They couldn't get.
Speaker 3 (10:45):

Speaker 5 (10:46):
Who was it?
Speaker 2 (10:47):
Had Away? Who had Away? It sounds like a type
of fish and had Away. I feel it had Away.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
Was good, actually said man, I feel like a woman.
Speaker 14 (11:22):
Handsen also sounds like Calisto by Baba.
Speaker 15 (11:35):
Yeah, we just had to dumb. Never done that before,
and we just had to dumb.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
This is how red and how stressed this game makes me.
I have never done that in like four years on radio,
and I am.
Speaker 5 (12:02):
Fool. I'm so sorry, guys, if you don't know what
just happened, we had to dump because Matt smore.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
It's entirely on me anyway. It's it's the song I
don't remember.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
It's Jennifer Top of Life. I don't remember what it's called.
Speaker 5 (12:24):
Let's get that.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
You can see it get loud, but by good well, oh.
Speaker 5 (12:36):
Well done, my beautiful lean Gorla, you have won these
movie tickets. Wonderful drop homely great work you.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
Sorry, Emma, I was obviously.
Speaker 16 (12:47):
You wouldn't be distracted.
Speaker 17 (12:49):
I think that what your wife being overseas might have
made it.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Thank you, Emma.
Speaker 3 (12:53):
That's why I'm swearing.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
That was what I was swearing.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
It was like a hindrance morning.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Wait, dragging me down. Apologies and please try again tomorrow.
I would love to be for you.
Speaker 15 (13:02):
No worries.
Speaker 11 (13:03):
Thanks Max.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
Yeah, that is amazing.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
I'm sorry for swearing. Everyone, all right, daily.
Speaker 9 (13:09):
Hand matches all.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
I've just asked Haley a wall of truth question. We're
doing it a little bit earlier today.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
Hailey Pearson, do you ever get jealous of the way
that people look at your husband Jimmy?
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Because we love Jimmy, we do. He's a good looker. Man.
Speaker 3 (13:34):
It's a funny thing.
Speaker 5 (13:35):
Guys have always said to me, your husband's dreaming whatever,
and I.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
Love you too.
Speaker 18 (13:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (13:40):
Yeah, To be honest, we've been together a long time
and there's probably been a lot of like a lot
of movement around that area. Excuse me where where I
guess when we're first together, I was.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
Really insecure because he was I don't know.
Speaker 5 (14:00):
When we first got together, he was four years old.
He is four years older.
Speaker 3 (14:04):
Than me, and he.
Speaker 10 (14:08):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (14:09):
I just looked at him as he was so amazing
and hot and like you've been lovely, and yes.
Speaker 6 (14:17):
He'd been around longer than I had, of course, And.
Speaker 3 (14:20):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (14:20):
I think I used to get really insecure, and not
about the way people looked at him, but away, I
don't know.
Speaker 6 (14:29):
Maybe it's a I've always trusted him.
Speaker 5 (14:31):
He's never ever given me a reason not to, especially now,
like he never gives me any reasons to be insecure.
But I was to the point that I remember I
used to try and make him look less attractive. I
remember in Thailand and I was like early twenties, and
everywhere we went, all the girls.
Speaker 19 (14:49):
Like, ah, look at this.
Speaker 5 (14:52):
Guy, ruh flashing him walking down Bangalar Road or whatever,
and women are flashing him and all this kind of stuff.
Women that used to be the women that were that
used to be men now yeah, all that stuff right,
And I was like, well, far out they are. Everyone
just thinks he's so hot, and I think I was
(15:12):
like I would rather you be more evenly matched with me.
So I encouraged him to shave his head, and I
was like, you won't look as good looking without that hair.
You should shave your head.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
Did he do it?
Speaker 5 (15:23):
And he shaved his head, But the joke was on
me because it looks so much hotter freaking shaved heads
like Jason stays, so annoying heads with stubble.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Why do you think great?
Speaker 1 (15:34):
Why do you think you needed that needed it to
look like that? If you say you're not worried about however, no, I.
Speaker 5 (15:42):
Think I know, but I was. I was back then,
but then I was like, I reckon, I reckon. It
took my early twenties. And it's probably just an age thing.
And this is probably quite relatable to most people. You
get to a certain age and you become way more
confident in who you are and you don't care about
the little things anymore.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
Now I don't worry.
Speaker 5 (16:00):
But I did say this to him a couple of
nights ago. I was like, do you still think that
I would be insecure? And he goes, no, but I
think it's something that would always be in you, And
he said, I don't think it would take too much
for you to get jealous, because he never gives me
ever gives me a reason to like. Never, he never
(16:20):
never looks like, he never makes comments or anything like that.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
If you flipped the question, because Haley, I know that
you like to say you're not but you are.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
An attractive woman.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
Do you think that he ever gets jealous? I was
like blokes talking.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
To you weirdly.
Speaker 5 (16:39):
I used to try and warn him to be jealous
because I was like, he never gets jealous because in
my career, I'm always working with guys, I'm always away
with guys, I'm always attractive, I'm always always obviously look
at you, Max baurforst and Virgo. Well, no, he's he's
never No, I don't think he probably does, but he
doesn't act like he does.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
I think he might be too. I don't know.
Speaker 5 (17:03):
I think it would show a weakness if he said
he was jealous. He's never ever ever said to me
that he's been jealous. And I'm always with men and
a lot of my friends are men. Yeah, anyway, I
feel i feel like I'm heats more secure now, but
probably he's probably right. It wouldn't take much if someone
if I saw a text message I used to look
(17:24):
at his phone back when we're together.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
Have you never done that with Elisa? You never looked
at their phone?
Speaker 2 (17:30):
No, I don't think so. Do you think you sit
on the hot crazy matrix?
Speaker 3 (17:36):
What's the crazy matrix?
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Very famous Internet culture up going on this axis, you've
got hot, on this axis, you've got crazy, and traditionally
the line is it's linear.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
So at the top, do you think I'm not crazy?
Speaker 3 (18:04):
He's hot?
Speaker 12 (18:05):
Tea?
Speaker 3 (18:07):
I see.
Speaker 5 (18:07):
DC fans are fuming at the price of tickets for
their Power Up tour. Get this, The fancy tickets are
costing four hundred dollars.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
That's it.
Speaker 5 (18:19):
That is so much money to go to a concert.
But one of the biggest bands in history. But now estimation,
I mean it's ac DC, but not now.
Speaker 3 (18:28):
They're not in their prime. They're a while ago.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
For the opportunity, they might fall over.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
And what what if one of them were later see
that true? This might be there goodbye tour.
Speaker 5 (18:44):
But that's a lot of money, and the b reserves
are one hundred and forty dollars.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
The good thing.
Speaker 5 (18:48):
About them coming to Adelaide though, because we have said
they're going to be here for the BP Grand Final
on Sunday.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
This is in September.
Speaker 5 (18:56):
They start when is it later, later October?
Speaker 3 (19:00):
Whenever it is, I don't care.
Speaker 13 (19:01):
They're here on the thirtieth November, November.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
Put that in your diaries or in my diary.
Speaker 5 (19:07):
Really, dick and start from ninety nine.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
Dollars, so that's more gettable.
Speaker 1 (19:12):
Those tickers get you in like general admissions for the day,
and you get to watch the cars and then you
get to watch them. I have just looked up there's
a picture the Adelaid Grand Final has put up. So
there's different areas. Yeah, so those ninety nine dollars ones
will get you into a mosh pit.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
Yeah, mosh pit, the back mosh pit.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
That's okay.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
There is an Area B and an Area A, but
they're all mosh pit. They're all general. You just have
to pay a little bit more when.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
Those Area A three hundred and five bucks.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
Yeah, they go on sale two days time.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
No one wants to.
Speaker 5 (19:39):
Be seated at a concert. I always find it so
weird when you want seats because you want to dance like.
Speaker 3 (19:44):
You want to be. I want to be in general ad.
I want you're standing and d.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
Imagine his GUITARSK is playing and you're like, sit in, Yeah,
you can't.
Speaker 5 (19:52):
Sit no loser, all right, Katie Perry. We're so excited
Katie Kerry. Cherry is out in about seven twenty. She's
gonna hear or she is going to be at the Ark.
I'm gonna catch her. But she has been dropping more
photos on her Instagram and a tick talk about a
time in Australia. She's been up to Australia zoo. Of
course she's met Robert Erwin. Mister Bob Irwin. He's going
(20:14):
to be on Dancing with the Stars US soon and so.
Speaker 2 (20:17):
Dancing with the Stars Australia.
Speaker 3 (20:18):
But it's weir that he hasn't been asked.
Speaker 5 (20:20):
Has he been on it before?
Speaker 2 (20:21):
I forget where he came from.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
Mate, Yeah, he's big over there though they love.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
Him in America. Dad was massive, I know.
Speaker 6 (20:27):
So have a listen to this. She's been teaching him
some dance moves.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
I heard that Robert Irwin was going to.
Speaker 15 (20:32):
Be on Dancing with the Stars, so I thought maybe
we should do a practice around.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
You're at the Australia.
Speaker 7 (20:38):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
Ready, Okay, I'm ready.
Speaker 5 (20:42):
Nanda.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
Robert Erwin.
Speaker 6 (20:47):
Can I say something controversial about Erwin's.
Speaker 1 (20:49):
I tell you what, if it's anything negative, it's not
going to be controversial because I'm right there with you.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
They're very They're not.
Speaker 5 (20:56):
Real people their stage they act all the time. I
just want to see the real Bob Bindy. They're very Hell.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
I'm having the best time ever.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
Yeah, just be real.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
Occasionally, you know what, if Bob came on the show
this morning, we were like, Bob, what do you think
about like the crisis.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
In Middle East at the moment, he'd be.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
Like, Oh, it's so good, it's excellent.
Speaker 5 (21:19):
We love a war.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
I just hope everyone's having a great time, Bob. Sometimes
things are bad and that's okay, It's really true.
Speaker 5 (21:26):
Just quickly, if you have heard the rumors that Katy
Perry's little bit sick, yeah she has a call. But
just so you know, people, she's not going to cancel Adelaide.
She in twenty twelve, straight after Russell Brandon has split up,
they got divorced.
Speaker 3 (21:38):
She still performed.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Yeah, she pushes through.
Speaker 5 (21:40):
She is not going to cancel the shows.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
You're gonna steal yaxes Katie Sairry Siri Nix.
Speaker 6 (21:53):
It's the funnest way to win Katy Perry tickets.
Speaker 3 (21:55):
I'm sorry, but it just is.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
It's so fun.
Speaker 5 (21:58):
We have Katy Perry the Fairy that's on the streets
of Adelaide every morning twice during our show giving away
tickets to Katy Perry.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Seven twenty eight twenty. It is seven twenty four right now,
it is that time to give away some tickets. All
you had to do was go to the location we've
been giving away for the last day and you just
chase down the Katie Perry Fairy when the airhorn goes
and be the first person to grab his wig.
Speaker 5 (22:20):
And right now, the Katy Perry Fairy is running through
the basketball courts at the Ark in Campbelltown.
Speaker 2 (22:25):
Morning, Katie Perry Fairy, Good morning, guys.
Speaker 12 (22:29):
Is beautiful and warm inside of the Ark this morning.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
How did you pull up from yesterday like a lot
of running, a lot of sprinting, a lot of people
chasing after you.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
How did you react to.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
All of that?
Speaker 2 (22:41):
I won't lie.
Speaker 12 (22:42):
My legs are a little bit sore, but that's all right.
We're at the home of the Norwood Flames, and I
reckon you're going to see some flames under these shoes today,
I'm all.
Speaker 5 (22:48):
Right, so right, tell us who's down there? That lots
of people, lots of people.
Speaker 2 (22:55):
We've got.
Speaker 12 (22:56):
Every single person here is in their best running shoes.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
So I am getting ready.
Speaker 12 (23:02):
I've done a few stretches, just wanting to prepare.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
Okay, before we let you loose, can you paint the
picture for people that have haven't been to the arc before?
Speaker 2 (23:10):
What is in front of you?
Speaker 1 (23:11):
Because a basketball court's not that big on its own, Like,
how are you going to get away from these people?
Speaker 12 (23:17):
No, it isn't It's probably like I feel like I'm
about fifty meters away from a wall, so I might
have to do a few ducking and weaving around if
no one chases me down in time?
Speaker 1 (23:28):
Right, this could be the first time we see some
evasive agility from the Katy Perry Fairy instead of just
a straight line dash.
Speaker 5 (23:34):
Don't pull a hammy, alright, right.
Speaker 1 (23:36):
Okay, So the way that it works is we say
three two one go, an airhorn goes, you get a
little head start, and then there's another airhorn and they
come for you.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
You're ready, Katy Perry Fairy. I am as ready as
I've ever been r I blow that horn? All right,
let's go three, two, one's go?
Speaker 12 (23:55):
Okay. Oh my gosh, I can feel so many stubs.
I'm already at the end. I'm already at the end.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
I have nowhere to go. I got there's a mayor.
Speaker 3 (24:07):
It's the best happening.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
Someone's going to pick up the phone. Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello?
Who's this?
Speaker 1 (24:15):
Mark?
Speaker 3 (24:16):
Home Mark Mark?
Speaker 2 (24:17):
Are you holding anything in one.
Speaker 3 (24:19):
Of your hands?
Speaker 12 (24:21):
I'm currently holding a wig?
Speaker 3 (24:22):
Yes, okay, good. That means you get the Katy Perry tickets?
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Well done, I'm going to give them home to my daughter.
That all right?
Speaker 4 (24:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (24:28):
Who's your daughter?
Speaker 3 (24:30):
Hello? Hello?
Speaker 2 (24:34):
Who's this? What's your name?
Speaker 20 (24:36):
Saidie?
Speaker 5 (24:37):
Sadie, tell me what just happened?
Speaker 3 (24:41):
What did your dad do? He ran to this fairy
and got the wing off his head?
Speaker 5 (24:47):
Was it very hard?
Speaker 6 (24:49):
It was the fairy a slow runner?
Speaker 8 (24:51):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (24:52):
Yeah, Sadie. How much do you love Katie Perry.
Speaker 17 (24:56):
Lark?
Speaker 1 (24:57):
Yeah? Do you have a favorite Katie Perry song? Sadie raw, Yes,
that's just so good, Sadie.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
This week you and dad? Do you think you'll take
dad with you?
Speaker 20 (25:11):
I don't know, but like thank Cleo won yesterday?
Speaker 1 (25:15):
Oh my god, I had a friend in a different
location chasing after Fairry.
Speaker 3 (25:21):
Wow, yeah, I'm want clearly within Glen Elk. This is excellent.
Speaker 5 (25:24):
You can go with your friends and your dads, and
the dads are winning it for their daughters.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
Oh, this is so hot, brilliant.
Speaker 1 (25:30):
This is what the Katy Perry Fairy does. It brings
people together and you get another chance today twenty past days.
Where are we going Paradise somewhere thorn Park Park.
Speaker 5 (25:41):
Look, it is wet, but there is an undercover area
at Thornton Park where near they go.
Speaker 4 (25:47):
There a twenty Thornton Park Katy Perry Ferry going to
be there if you want those tickets to get there.
Speaker 5 (25:52):
Okay, I was just reading a little stat about babysitters
and it was talking about how in twenty twenty five
people are less trusting of their babysitter. There's a lot
of great babysitters out there. And Nanny's my niece is
currently looking after my kids right now. She's the best
babysitter in the world. She's the number one baby, She's
the number one. I wouldn't trust them with anyone else.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
Yeah, she went to the World's last year and she won.
But she did, she would win.
Speaker 6 (26:17):
Her and his sister would win. They're amazing.
Speaker 3 (26:18):
But there are some bad babysitters, so I get it.
I don't know if you've ever.
Speaker 5 (26:23):
Had a bad experience with one.
Speaker 3 (26:26):
A babysitter or a nanny.
Speaker 5 (26:30):
If you have one of these stories, give us a
called thirteen one or two trees. Can we go back
to our childhood into our babysitters club and talk about bad.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
Experience because she said you had a bad one when
you were like eleven, Yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (26:40):
Remember, Mom and Dad was a second.
Speaker 5 (26:46):
The best part about this keep that song handy, because
this is actual. I can't believe that in the future
Haley can talk about this on the radio. My nanny
that I Mum and Dad booked while they went overseas once.
Speaker 6 (27:02):
My nanny's name was fran Her name was friend, a.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
Friend from Flushing Queen.
Speaker 3 (27:11):
She was not from Flushing Queens. She was this woman.
I don't even know where they got her from.
Speaker 5 (27:15):
And I can talk about this now because I'm pretty
sure she wouldn't be around anymore. She was not a
night she wasn't nice. She was really mean to my
brother and and just a weird lady. And I remember
sitting on the couch with my nanny named fran and
she was wearing a nightie and she would have been
sixty five back then, right, So she's, yeah, this is
(27:36):
a long time ago, and I remember sitting on the couch.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
With her and looking at her.
Speaker 1 (27:45):
He's got both of her hands on her face at
the moment she's about to tell the story.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
I remember seeing my nanny's phony. She wasn't wearing underpants,
and she was sitting with ninety.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
Instinct. She did a Sharon.
Speaker 3 (28:06):
Stone, but not like she didn't. No, I saw she
wasn't like a weird like predator thing.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
How old were I would.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Have been eleven? It was haunted. It was I just
couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
Describe it for it.
Speaker 6 (28:22):
I don't want to describe it. I don't want to
describe it.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
I will.
Speaker 5 (28:29):
That was one of my bad babysitter moments that I
just remember. Because you do remember these things because often
it happens in your formative years where you remember these
things when you're growing up, right, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (28:38):
Because it's a repressed memory. You don't want to remember
seeing the nanny name Franny's Fanny.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
Tell me that your repressed memory.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
I will, I will. I also want to hear from
every one thirty one O two three.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
We got one hundred dollars Soul Origin voucher for you
for our favorite babysit of horror stories, Nanny horror Stories.
Speaker 5 (29:00):
Yeah, she yelled at me because I licked my ice
cream bowl. Sorry, but you're allowed to lick your ice
cream bowl. I still lick my ice cream bowl.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
And unfortunately she yelled at me because I leave. And
the only thing that I know about her is that
you had Where is this story going? Oh?
Speaker 2 (29:14):
Thank god for that.
Speaker 5 (29:15):
People don't trust their babysitters anymore, that's what they're saying.
In twenty twenty five, people are really struggling to leave
their kids with people that they don't trust all time low.
Speaker 3 (29:24):
Yeah, but when we were growing up, was.
Speaker 5 (29:25):
Leaving kids with anyone right, just like whatever we had?
Speaker 3 (29:30):
Yeah, we said different childhood.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
That brace that he's wearing around his ankle, that's fine.
Speaker 5 (29:34):
That old man down the road, we don't know his name.
Speaker 6 (29:36):
He's going to stay there for the afternoon.
Speaker 1 (29:37):
Who cares, he's got a pull. He lets the kids
swim in the pool in the underwear.
Speaker 2 (29:40):
It's fine. Whatever.
Speaker 5 (29:42):
I was just telling Max's story about how I had
a nanny, just a nanny one time. She was a
babysitter while mom and dad were overseas my brother I
had her.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
Her name was Fran. She was the nanny name Fran.
Speaker 5 (29:56):
And once we were sitting on the couch and she
was wearing a nightie and I saw the nanny's babny,
the fanny named France.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
Yeah, haunted me.
Speaker 5 (30:09):
It was the worst thing I've ever seen in my life.
I still picture it, and I was eleven back then.
Speaker 2 (30:13):
Everyone's got a babysitting horror story. I reckon this. I
don't think is a horror story.
Speaker 1 (30:17):
I'm sure my parents probably thought it was a horror
story when they came home from a night out at
dinner and our babysitter, who was a teenage friend of ours,
he would have been sixteen year old.
Speaker 2 (30:26):
He had a PlayStation two, which was a big deal
at the time.
Speaker 1 (30:30):
They'd only just come out including Grand Theft Auto three,
which was the biggest game in the world and involves
a lot of lot of death nefarious activities.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
Oh yeah, so Mum and Dad.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
Have walked in the door to find me as like
a twelve year old and my brother is a nine
year old driving a tank down a street, running over,
running over all sorts of civilians.
Speaker 3 (30:51):
And that's what started your obsession with video games.
Speaker 5 (30:53):
And look at me now, could you now play against
thirteen year olds?
Speaker 2 (30:56):
Everyone's got a little babysitter horror story.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
Give us yours thirty one O two three Jess in
Morphet Vale, Jess A little bit of dancing with the babysitter.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
What happened.
Speaker 18 (31:09):
Next? Daughter was looking after us while was out and
we were dancing music at the music in the round room.
We're having the ball, and then the boys were dancing on.
Speaker 12 (31:21):
Top of the coffee table.
Speaker 18 (31:22):
It was a glass top coffee table and we were
having fun dancing and jumping around and next thing we know,
the glass on the top of the table smashes and
both the boys just fall straight down, Oh no, through
the top of the table. Thankfully, there was no major injuries,
only minor scratches and a couple of cups on the feet.
(31:45):
But other than that, I just remember sitting on the
edge of the bathtub watching the babies that are panicking,
trying to clean up the blood and bandage the boys.
It was it was promas.
Speaker 2 (31:58):
When you're the next door over babysitting.
Speaker 1 (32:00):
You're probably getting paid like eight bucks an hour, and
there's some two minute noodles in the cupboard you.
Speaker 2 (32:05):
Can make if you want for dinner. Yeah, it's just
not time.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
Just really.
Speaker 5 (32:10):
Oh that is just awful express Okay, April and Semaphore
dodgy babysitters watch the story.
Speaker 9 (32:18):
Hey guys, So my story, well is I was at
work and had a family friend actually looking after my kids,
and my husband decided to come home early from work,
and I had one of those pet cameras set up
as well because I love watching my dog. And yeah,
(32:40):
so I decided to leave work early and I caught
my husband and my family friend making it out.
Speaker 3 (32:47):
Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry.
Speaker 5 (32:50):
That's a very different type of yeah.
Speaker 9 (32:54):
So, and she still expected to be paid for the day.
Speaker 1 (32:58):
What.
Speaker 2 (33:00):
Yeah, we were the kids.
Speaker 9 (33:03):
They were having an app.
Speaker 3 (33:04):
Hang on and so what happened? Did you break up
with this man?
Speaker 9 (33:08):
Oh? Yes, So not only did I lose a friend
and a husband, but now they're together and they're expecting.
Speaker 3 (33:16):
Oh my gosh, Abril, that is the word.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
Hopefully you have to put your hand out to be
the baby.
Speaker 9 (33:23):
To be honest, I thank her because she got him
out of my life.
Speaker 5 (33:26):
And to be honest, he's probably gonna do the same
when they get the baby's and other babysitter more than likely.
Speaker 9 (33:31):
So good luck for r right, But oh my god,
I was Yeah, I was at work and it came
notification came up on my phone and I.
Speaker 12 (33:39):
Was like, what is going on?
Speaker 10 (33:41):
And yeah, just caught him in.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
The act expecting that that is notable friend. Pretty much
Money minute Tuesday. Okay, Sarah in two wells. This is weird.
Speaker 5 (34:02):
You're in two wells and you're about to win two
times the money.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
Sarah's never played before either.
Speaker 3 (34:08):
Sarah, good morning.
Speaker 2 (34:11):
How are you good?
Speaker 5 (34:12):
Do you normally play in the car when you're listening?
Speaker 1 (34:15):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (34:16):
How do you give it a go?
Speaker 5 (34:18):
A good some morning?
Speaker 17 (34:21):

Speaker 1 (34:24):

just take a couple of seconds to answer each question.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
All right, you got it, all right, Sarah, Hailey's going
to read the questions today. I'll give you the rules.
We must accept your first answer. If you pass, we'll
come back at the end if there's still some time.

a collaboration with Twisties.
Speaker 10 (35:08):

Speaker 5 (35:09):
Left Shark was a meme from which singers Super Bowl

Speaker 10 (35:15):

Speaker 5 (35:16):
Left Shark was a meme from which singer's Super Bowl
halftime famous sub Josh Hazelwood is best known for.
Speaker 3 (35:23):
Which sport?
Speaker 18 (35:24):
Huh?
Speaker 3 (35:26):

Speaker 1 (36:16):
So the ice block brand that released the collaboration with Twisties,
as you confidently locked in, was of course the super Dooper.
Of course I knew that you've been eating them all day.
You should have brushed your teeth. They look orange this morning.
Speaker 2 (36:29):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
M Code Beauty was founded in is Australia. Proto is
a food, of course.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
It is not a drink.
Speaker 1 (36:38):
Then we started to fall over a little bit the
first day of the financial year. It's not June first,
it's July first. Left Shark was a meme from I
don't know if you saw Katie Perry's Super Bowl halftime performance.
Speaker 12 (36:52):
Where they had I was thinking of her.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
Yeah, worst shark costumes ever. They looked like dead inside. Anyway,
it was her. Josh Hazelwood plays cricket for Australia. S
cargo us nails. That's the French word for it. The
writing instrument made from a feather.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
It's stop buzzing while I'm reading the wrong So aggressive.
Speaker 1 (37:13):

from a feather is a a quill. It's a quill
Thorndon Park. I guess Thornton Park. It's where our Katie
Fairy Fairy is right now. It's in Paradise. And the
Wrangler and the Compass are both models of Jeep Jeep
(37:35):
Wrangler Jeep.
Speaker 5 (37:38):

maybe not the atmses Katy Perry Fairy nix.
Speaker 5 (38:11):
It's the finnest way to give out Katie Perry tickets.
We're so excited she's going to be in Adelaide this week.
If you missed out, don't stress because we've got our
Katy Perry Fairy and every day the Katy Perry Fairry
is going to be somewhere in Adelaide giving away tickets.
Speaker 1 (38:24):
Yeah, and right now we have the biggest turnout that
we have seen so far for the Katy Perry Fairy,
who is about to be let loose in Thornton Park.
Good morning again, Katy Perry Fairy. Have you recovered from
your first dash today?
Speaker 9 (38:37):
Yes?
Speaker 12 (38:38):
I have. I'm not even joking. There were people as
you were speaking, just then running to try and join
this line to win.
Speaker 2 (38:44):
Katy Perry tickets.
Speaker 12 (38:45):
This These tickets are super hot right here in Thorndon.
Speaker 1 (38:49):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
I want everyone to win. But you've only got a
double right now, don't you.
Speaker 12 (38:53):
Yeah, it's only a double here. Unfortunately.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
Have you come up with any new techniques and strategies
to last a bit longer?
Speaker 2 (39:00):
Like people have been catching you pretty quick, Katy Perry Fairy.
Speaker 12 (39:03):
Well, Thornton Park, it's a little bit different because there's
trees and not that much space to run, so I
can kind of duck and weave and maybe play a
bit of hide and seek.
Speaker 1 (39:12):
I hope.
Speaker 2 (39:13):
I don't know.
Speaker 12 (39:13):
I don't know if I'm to have time.
Speaker 2 (39:16):
Just fluttering up into a tree or he would too.
Speaker 3 (39:19):
You've got to such good calves.
Speaker 17 (39:23):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (39:24):
Let's do it. So is everyone lined up and ready
to go, Katy Perry Fairy?
Speaker 12 (39:28):
They are currently at like sprinters like ready? You know
how people do that one leg thing?
Speaker 2 (39:34):
Yes, the one leg thing. I know, the one leg
thing I've seen you same boltoom.
Speaker 5 (39:37):
I was about to say the same thing, all right, ready.
Speaker 1 (39:39):
Set go right, Katy Ferry Fairy is away and now
the people are away.
Speaker 12 (39:46):
Oh my gosh. Okay, so there I'm currently right at
a park bench.
Speaker 19 (39:50):
There's like a teenage boy.
Speaker 2 (39:51):
Oh my god.
Speaker 10 (39:52):
Now other people coming up my side. It's slippery, Oh
my god.
Speaker 2 (39:57):
It's regardless, it's just pure entertainment.
Speaker 3 (40:04):
Hello, are you the teenage boy?
Speaker 2 (40:10):
What's your name? Teenage boy? My name is John Luke,
John Luke. Are you a big Katie Perry fan? John Luke? Yeah,
I don't mind.
Speaker 12 (40:17):

Speaker 3 (40:19):
Oh you're a good guy. Just checking. Are you holding
a wig.
Speaker 6 (40:23):
In your hand?

Speaker 1 (40:36):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (40:36):
Yeah, I already saw a video.
Speaker 12 (40:38):
I was aware of what I was coming to.
Speaker 5 (40:40):
Describe him for everybody. Pardon, do you want to describe
our Katie Perry fairy.
Speaker 12 (40:45):
It's got a lovely pink dress with a nice wand
beautiful wings.
Speaker 2 (40:49):
At the back. Yeah, good strong halves, Yeah, strong calves.
Speaker 1 (40:54):
John Luke as someone who has caught the Katy Perry
fairy and snatched the wig, We're going to do this
again tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (40:59):
Have you got any tips for people.
Speaker 4 (41:02):
Tips?
Speaker 12 (41:02):
Yeah? To catch ye, I'd probably stretch before almost like
I did a hamster, and.
Speaker 1 (41:08):
You know, just to do a handstrings over the rest
of his well. John, congratulations you and your sister Perry.
Speaker 3 (41:16):
Thank you, well done.
Speaker 5 (41:17):
All right, we've got a new location tomorrow morning, seven
twenty and eight twenty. If you want those Katie Perry tickets, yeah, absolutely, We're.
Speaker 2 (41:24):

Also, I should say we've got pre parties and post

keep it on mix on your way there, on your
way home, we've got Katie Perry.
Speaker 2 (41:35):

Speaker 3 (41:38):
I love Prize.
Speaker 2 (41:39):
In fact, I'm going to have pree So yeah, can
I come to your prix? I want to have Prieze? Yeah,
you bring a case?
Speaker 3 (41:44):
Yeah yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5 (41:46):
We want to know from you if you're willing to
share thirteen one or two three, is our number. The
moment that you realize you wanted to change. This is
off the back of Burgo sharing with us yesterday, because
he looks amazing and I'm noticing it every day.
Speaker 3 (42:00):
You're just shedding the weights.
Speaker 5 (42:03):
But I've known you for fourteen years and I know
that there's it's been a battle for a long time.
Speaker 2 (42:07):
Yeah yeah, yeah, you up and down, very up and down.
Speaker 5 (42:11):
Yeah yeah, But this time it took a moment to go,
do you know what, I Am actually going to do this.
I'm gonna go on Manjara, and I'm going to change.
Speaker 2 (42:19):
Yes.
Speaker 6 (42:20):
Can you reshare that moment with us?
Speaker 2 (42:21):
When I went to the barber.
Speaker 4 (42:23):
My hairdresser puts the cape on when he's cutting your hair,
and he actually can't do it up around my thick
neck and he uses like a makeshift method with some
other safety pins and stuff like that. And he doesn't
say anything, and I don't say anything, but I know
the buttons don't just click like they should.
Speaker 2 (42:40):
Yeah, and it's embarrassing.
Speaker 17 (42:43):
You know.
Speaker 3 (42:43):
See, sometimes it's an addiction. Eating is an addiction.
Speaker 5 (42:47):
And you would know this because you have a daughter
that you love more than anything on this earth, and
I know you want to be fit and run around
with her. But sometimes that's not even enough, is it?
Speaker 4 (42:57):
It wasn't enough, nah, because I can still like be
a decent parent and play with her and do everything
I need to do. But yeah, there are things that
sort of happened. It's like when I went on a
plane and one of the belts didn't fit and I
had to literally just put the buckles under my gut
for takeoff and landing and pretend that my belt was
doneer because you didn't want to ask, because I didn't
want to ask for an extender.
Speaker 5 (43:17):
Okay, so that was that was your moment yesterday, and
I reckon, that's inspired probably a lot of people, maybe
you talking about this yesterday was their moment right far
out Burgo has done this.
Speaker 3 (43:26):
I'm going to do this too.
Speaker 4 (43:27):
Oh do you know what I just said to the
guys off here, like I love I'm on Manjaro to
weight loss injectable and I bloody love it.
Speaker 5 (43:34):
This is not an ad for this particular type of injection,
by the way, go and see a doctor.
Speaker 2 (43:38):
Wease say it.
Speaker 5 (43:40):
This one just works for Burgo. But we would love
it to hear your moment.
Speaker 1 (43:44):
Yeah, thirty one O two three, give us a ring
if you've got one, Lara, And when a Para has
already picked up the phone, Lara, did you have a
moment and did you lose some weight?
Speaker 18 (43:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 11 (43:53):
So about thirteen years ago, I went to buy a
new pair of jeans and I couldn't fit into the
size twenty two. So I went yep, nope, put them down,
booked out the shop and never looked back. I still
to this day workout, only eat healthy. I only started
walking and putting my food on a dinner plate instead
(44:15):
of like a like I didn't. Then I started getting serious.
After about twenty odd kilos off, I most probably went
down about seventy kilos, but I'm fifty odd kilos slider.
I've like over the journey. I'm nearly sixty now, so
(44:35):
over the journey, I've sort of stayed that fifty five kiloslider.
Speaker 5 (44:40):
What do you say to people that are in that
little predicament that you before you had that moment?
Speaker 11 (44:46):
You literally you know if your journey is to take
something to it, but it's it's mind and you have
to be committed. Like thirteen years I make sure I
get my steps, I go to the gym, my lift weights.
I only eat healthy.
Speaker 3 (45:04):
If I want.
Speaker 11 (45:05):
If I want chips or pizza, I'll eat it, but
like just every now and then I eat I eat
chocolate most days, but I eat two squares.
Speaker 2 (45:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 18 (45:15):
And I have a bit sit every.
Speaker 2 (45:17):
Single day, Lara. Do you feel better?
Speaker 11 (45:19):
I don't like not being fit.
Speaker 3 (45:23):
Yeah, that's so good and it is. It's the power
of the mind. It is all up to you. Nobody
else can help you.
Speaker 17 (45:28):
Yes.
Speaker 11 (45:29):
And my first walk I did, I don't even know
how long, and I went this, I turned back and
you know what, three or four months later I was running.
Speaker 5 (45:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (45:39):
And then from.
Speaker 2 (45:42):
The moment works yes, yeah, thank you.
Speaker 11 (45:44):
And then from that I went to boot camp and
from that I went to gym.
Speaker 9 (45:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (45:48):
Progress, love it. Thank you, Lara.
Speaker 1 (45:50):
That is exactly what we're after. Thirty one oh two
three Did you have a moment? What happened for you?
Speaker 2 (45:54):
Beck?
Speaker 1 (45:54):
In Modbury North you started oh Manjaro as well, same
thing as Burgo last year.
Speaker 2 (45:59):
Can you tell us about your moment? Beck?
Speaker 16 (46:02):
Yeah, I've been through years.
Speaker 11 (46:04):
Of intertility and marriage up and I was about to
fifty and.
Speaker 1 (46:09):
I thought I can't keep doing this.
Speaker 5 (46:11):
I was one a bit of a roller.
Speaker 11 (46:12):
Poster up down, and I decided.
Speaker 10 (46:14):
No, if I wanted longevity, I wanted.
Speaker 16 (46:16):
To be healthy, then I needed to do something about it.
And it was all about the mental chance for me,
and Monjari helped switch off that thing in your brain
that makes you pray food. So it was it was
a big stat And I've lost thirty sixty low so far,
fix then and doing so much better slightust've been since
(46:38):
I've been a teenager.
Speaker 3 (46:40):
That is amazing.
Speaker 6 (46:41):
And do you know what it's You're healthier, You're going
to live longer.
Speaker 3 (46:44):
That's absolutely better.
Speaker 1 (46:45):
Yeah, okay, the moment for Beck turning fifty a big milestone. Yeah, okay,
give us your moments, adelaid, When did you have a
moment that you knew I need to change?
Speaker 9 (46:56):
All right?
Speaker 4 (46:57):
Thirteen one O two three. That's the phone number we're
taking calls right now. In the moment you knew, the
moment clicked that you had to lose weight and change
your life.
Speaker 1 (47:03):
It's all based on our man Vigo in here. He's
doing the same thing. He had a moment himself. Bably
the one that I think sticks out as the moment
for your bird just sitting in a barber's chair, putting
a cape on. Yep, and cape doesn't fit. The guy
has to put a little safety clip around the back.
Speaker 2 (47:18):
You know it, He knows it. No one says anything.
Speaker 4 (47:20):
He's spending a lot more time on that cape than
just putting the buttons together, which he.
Speaker 2 (47:23):
Normally would for someone else.
Speaker 5 (47:24):
And I would also say your other moment was a
couple of weeks ago on the radio and we spoke
about this and he had heaps of people in box
you personally saying well done, thank you for sharing. Do it,
don't wait?
Speaker 4 (47:35):
Yeah, I mean hearing the stories of people that have
changed their life is certainly a trigger and an inspiration
at the same time.
Speaker 2 (47:40):
Yeah, well, we might have another one for you right now.
Speaker 1 (47:43):
Steve in Marion's called in Steve, did you have a
moment where you decided I need to do something about
my weight.
Speaker 12 (47:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 16 (47:50):
I was putting on a jacket and I wouldn't fit,
and I thought I can't keep doing this, and I yeah,
went and got lnjaro, I reckon.
Speaker 2 (47:57):
Wow, clothing is a big one, Steve.
Speaker 1 (47:59):
Is this a jacket that you've worn for years and
it's like this is a comfort jacket And all of
a sudden it's gone from me. Yeah.
Speaker 12 (48:05):
It was my go to jacket and it was really
cold and just wouldn't bet and I was like, nah,
it's got to stop.
Speaker 10 (48:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (48:12):
And the thing is a lot of people just keep
buying a bigger size or just by another size, another size,
another XL XL because that's easier to do that. So
that's a massive thing.
Speaker 6 (48:20):
And now how much money you lost?
Speaker 3 (48:21):
Eleven kilos?
Speaker 12 (48:23):
Eleven kilos in the five weeks?
Speaker 9 (48:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (48:26):
Do you love the fact that it just blocks out
all the food noise? You just don't thinknuts like you
used to.
Speaker 12 (48:30):
Yeah, it's so amazing that the stuff is a game changer.
Speaker 2 (48:34):
You're doing some healthy eating as well, Steve some x Yeah.
Speaker 16 (48:38):
Yeah, loads of healthy eating and going to the gym
at least three times a week in cycling.
Speaker 1 (48:43):
Yeah, boy, so good, love that, Steve All because the
Jackie didn't fit perfect.
Speaker 2 (48:47):
Thank you so much for share.
Speaker 6 (48:49):
Our life expectancy is going to go up.
Speaker 5 (48:50):
And you just watch this space with all these people
on way loss injections.
Speaker 1 (48:55):
We give away Katie Perry tickets as much as we're like,
it is much more exciting to know that your radio
station that some people listening to going you know what,
maybe it should get a little bit fitter and healthy longer.
Please keep the calls coming. Th only one o two three.
The moment for you that you knew you needed to
make a change.
Speaker 4 (49:09):
Yeah, give us a call. And you know what, if
you're sitting on the fence right now, call us. Let's
have a chat about it if you want to make
that change.
Speaker 6 (49:15):
I love that we're doing this.
Speaker 5 (49:16):
I love that we're doing this because I feel like
people listening right now we might be creating someone's moment
for them. We're talking about the moment that you knew
you needed to change, and everyone that's calling is it's
a weight related It actually doesn't have to be weight related,
but it is because mate Burgo, who's in the studio
with us, had a moment recently where he's wanted to
lose weight for a long time and he had a
(49:37):
moment at the hairdresser the barber where they couldn't put
the little cape around.
Speaker 3 (49:41):
His neck and he was like, far right, I need
to change. I need to lose weight.
Speaker 6 (49:46):
It's got too far. So we want to know your moment.
Speaker 1 (49:48):
Thirteen one two three, Give us a ring with your moment.
The phone lines have gone absolutely bonkers for this. Kathy
in Blakeview called in, Hey, Kathy, was what was your
moment you needed to make a change.
Speaker 2 (49:59):
You knew you needed to make a change.
Speaker 10 (50:01):
Hi, So in twenty twenty one, I was told that
I had less than twelve months to live illness and.
Speaker 3 (50:12):
When you meet it.
Speaker 10 (50:12):
I needed to lose weight to have a lung transplant.
And four years later, here I am living my best life,
thirty fifty three kilos lighter, working three jobs, and healthier
than I've ever been in my life.
Speaker 3 (50:25):
Yes, sar, wow, and did you have the lung transplant?
Speaker 10 (50:29):
No, I was very In July last year, I was
taken off the lung transplant list because.
Speaker 2 (50:32):
You don't need it anymore.
Speaker 3 (50:34):
No, not anymore life. Yeah, this is amazing, spar of
the mind. It really is, isn't it?
Speaker 10 (50:42):
But absolutely yeah?
Speaker 6 (50:44):
Wow, thank you for sharing that.
Speaker 3 (50:46):
That is all.
Speaker 10 (50:46):
That's okay, And I think this is absolutely amazing that
you're doing this on the radio because so many people
need to hear it.
Speaker 3 (50:52):
Yeah, I agree.
Speaker 10 (50:54):
To give up.
Speaker 2 (50:55):
It's all because Burgo's sharing his story. We appreciated it, right, Yeah.
Speaker 10 (50:59):
It's absolutely amazing.
Speaker 2 (51:01):
Well done you to thank you.
Speaker 5 (51:02):
Kathy, let's go to Beck in One Tree Hill.
Speaker 2 (51:04):
What was the moment for you?
Speaker 1 (51:05):
Beck?
Speaker 15 (51:07):
Hi?
Speaker 19 (51:07):
Guys, So my big moment was through my fertility journey.
So basically I conceived my first son naturally and with
no medical intervention. About five years later, we started tryingph
number two and nothing was happening. I had been away
all my life. We went through three rounds of fertility
(51:27):
treatment with no success. Basically, my fertility doctor sat down
and in the kindest way said that I was too
big and if it was going to work, I wouldn't
have a healthy pregnancy, would be quite dangerous to fell
pregnant the way that was at. She even referred me
on to have my I guess strict sleeve surgery. So
(51:48):
I went ahead and did that. I lost seventy kilos
seven yeah, seventy kilos, about half my weight I lost.
I then felt pregnant naturally. Unfortunately, at twelve weeks we
lost that baby. That then caused me to emotionally spiral
and fall back into those bad it I had a
(52:09):
chat with my adopter.
Speaker 9 (52:11):
I went on.
Speaker 19 (52:12):
Injectables, lost about thirty kilos. On that felt pregnant again
and now I have a beautiful full little four month.
Speaker 8 (52:18):
Old yea.
Speaker 3 (52:21):
Happy. Yeah, sorry, I'm so sorry.
Speaker 19 (52:25):
Okay, I've got my beautiful miracle now.
Speaker 5 (52:28):
Do you know that's probably something you don't realize, is
it when you're bigger, that it is harder to feel
pregnant and definitely, definitely, and it's more dangerous because especially
there's anesthetic involved.
Speaker 3 (52:38):
It's it's dangerous.
Speaker 2 (52:39):
Yeah, wow, thank you for sharing. It's a tough one
to share it.
Speaker 1 (52:43):
So we've had a couple of medical reasons and medical
moments that people have had. Doesn't have to be medical moments,
Sandy and old Ranella, what was your moment that made
you know you needed to drop a couple of kilos?
Speaker 20 (52:56):
Oh, good morning, guys. My moment was that I actually
took the filters off of social media. You know, I
was taking take photos and you kind of feel to them,
and you know, you can doctor your images a bit,
and you know, I sort of thought I need to.
I wasn't feeling great, so I actually put on some
(53:16):
gym clothes, which I never wore anyway, and I actually
took a realistic photo of myself rather than you know,
strategic poses and using filters and doctoring images. And I
was really shocked when I looked at the image and
I thought, wow, I actually have been hiding for such
a long time. And as a single mum, I thought,
(53:38):
I'm not teaching, you know, my daughter to be exactly
who she is. And I looked at the image and
I thought, I can't. I can't hide anymore. To do something,
So I didn't join the gym and go crazy. I
couldn't afford to go to the gym, so I literally
walked around my backyard. So I just I walked up
(54:02):
and down my backyard and my back sveranda, and I
held like I just did it, mapped my walk and
I just tried to better, you know, every single walk by.
Wait another thousands deaths, begay, I'll do another thousands depths tomorrow.
So I literally just used wheel power that I've never
ever had.
Speaker 2 (54:23):
Before, and Sandy, has it worked in the end.
Speaker 20 (54:26):
Yes, I was one hundred and fifteen kilos and this
morning I was eighty five kilos.
Speaker 3 (54:32):
Oh, that's so amazing. Thank you, Yeah, thank you so much.
Speaker 6 (54:40):
You should be so proud, and thank you so much
to be so proud too.
Speaker 20 (54:44):
Yes, thank you so much, guys, thank you.
Speaker 5 (54:46):
We'll go to one more call danniel on Woodside. What's
your moment. What's the moment that changed you?
Speaker 2 (54:52):
So I think the.
Speaker 17 (54:53):
Biggest moment, there's always been little things along the way
that you've gone, I need to change my life. But
the biggest kicker for me was when my husband said,
can I take a photo of you with our newborn?
And I said no, Oh, I went, I went, I
don't want to be in a photo. I look horrific,
horrible sitting in that hospital. And then it was that
(55:14):
night that I went, I can't believe I've just done that,
and I need to change my life. And I went
headstrong into it. A month after being home with him,
I went to my doctor and I said, right, we
need a plan. Let's make this work. She described me Monzaro.
I went onto Monteuro and it completely changed my life.
(55:35):
It gave me the ability to stop and think before
I ate, and changed the way I looked at food,
changed the way I looked at my life. I didn't
sign up with the gym, I didn't go crazy like that.
I went onto the things that were achievable, so just
going for a walk, and that was two years ago.
(55:56):
I've been off medication now for six months, I had
sustained fifty kilos of weight loss, and I think now
I can. But I think the sad thing is to
me is now I look back and I think I've
got two beautiful young daughters who are eleven and seven,
and I stopped doing so many things with them because
I was so ashamed of myself. But I needed that
(56:19):
moment to go. I cannot believe I'm now sitting here too.
You down the track. There's no new born photos of
me and my funt because I refuse to have them now.
Speaker 2 (56:28):
I can't look back now though, no them and go.
Speaker 3 (56:34):
That's my story and that's on one.
Speaker 17 (56:36):
Hundred percent the thing. The thing is now, I'm like, girls,
let's go do things because I'm so happy with myself
mentally and physically that I am so much more present
in their life.
Speaker 6 (56:47):
And you just sharing that on the radio.
Speaker 5 (56:50):
You have no idea how many other people you're helping
by just saying what you've just said exactly.
Speaker 17 (56:55):
I have never hidden from day Dot that I had
got to help Strumanjarro from the doctor, because if it
helps one person, yes to go, I am going to
take this leave. I am going to go and talk
to them about the sol thing that for so long
people were like, oh, this is the shortcut. It's not
the shortcut. All it's doing is letting you take control
(57:15):
of your health.
Speaker 2 (57:16):
It's your first stands your life.
Speaker 4 (57:17):
And you know what, even though I'm on the journey
with you, I'm also inspired and Adelaide.
Speaker 2 (57:21):
Come on, let's stand up, let's feel good.
Speaker 5 (57:24):
You can do this.
Speaker 2 (57:25):
You've got this rocky steps. You know what, change the
donut for an apple at lunchtime today?
Speaker 5 (57:31):
Come on, today is the day that you change your life.
Speaker 2 (57:34):
What famous steps? Have we got an Adelaide that we
can stand in the top of late Robbie.
Speaker 3 (57:39):
Adelaide, oval r.
Speaker 4 (57:42):
Okay, the office stairs, whatever, whatever, make one small change.
Speaker 2 (57:47):
Let's go. You got this, Adelaide.
Speaker 5 (57:48):
We love you.
Speaker 2 (57:50):
On your med out, your imagine,
