With Max doing terribly in footy tipping this year, he has been given the boot! Our new resident tipster is none other than long time listener of the show.. George from Kurralta Park!

I heard podcasts here more mix one or two point
three podcasts, playlists and listen live on the free iHeart
app Max Berthards Just the Tips. Traditionally it is Max
Burfard's Just the Tips, where I give you your footy tips
for the weekend so that you can hopefully compete in
your work.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
You are at home tip in competition.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
But the thing is, I'm just in the middle, and
I can't stop being in the middle.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
You're the average guy, and that's not gonna win anyone
any money. Nope, it's full mediocrity.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
If you followed my tips all year, I've been great
the last two years.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
This year it's just not my year. I cracked it
on Monday.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Three out of seven was enough for me to say,
I don't want to do the footy tips anymore.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Yeah, like a little baby, you gave up. Sometimes, kids,
quitting is the right thing to do. Listen to him, kids,
that's what Uncle Mack says.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
What happened then was George from Colta Park called in,
and George listens to our show all the time. He's
a good man, George. I trust George. George said Max,
I listen along, I hear your tips. Sometimes I all
to them a little bit, but mostly I agree. Then
he said, I alter them enough that I'm fourth out
of one hundred and sixty in my tipping competition.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
It's just a little tweak. And I said, George, you
should be doing the tips instead of me, mate. And
so here we are.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
On Thursday, and George from Carolta Park's on the lane
with this morning.

Speaker 2 (01:25):

Speaker 2 (01:28):
You're gonna be a household name. Now everyone's gonna trust
George over Max. Big pressure, George, it's big pressure. Ready
for it?

Speaker 3 (01:34):
I am, I am, I am. I hope I have
done the right thing.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Guys.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Well you know you'll see how we go. But anyway,
we can only try, can't we.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
That's exactly right, George. That's the attitude, Georgie. So let's
go through these together, mate. We're taking your tips, not mine.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
This week Port Adelaide and Carlton Thursday night footy, who's
winning or Adelaide?

Speaker 2 (01:54):
I like it? Okay, I probably an undertain thing. I
like it. Sydney the Bulldogs Friday Night.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
It's toughy, but I'm going to go the Bullies. Gonna
go to the Bulldogs.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Yeah, I might have picked Sydney's. Okay, don't listen to George.
It's the Dogs Gold Coast, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Yep, don't
mind it. Hawthorne, North Melbourne, Awthorne. Yeah, down in Tazzy.
They'll have to win that one. Collingwood, West Coast. This
one feels easy, George, Collingwood.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Yeah, I was gonna say Collingwood too. Richmond and the Crows.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Gonna go Audelaide, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
They should win. Yeah, go the Crows.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Freemantle and Sint Kilda to round out the round Fremantle. Okay,
so there's only really one that I've differed on, George.
But that's exactly right, and George has the magic touch. Georgie,
you're happy we're locked in.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Well, we'll see how we go guys. But yeah, I
agree with you Max. I think that Sydney Bulldogs. Yeah,
that's definitely a tricky one. That one, for sure, tricky one.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
But you've locked in the Dogs everyone, Adelaide follow George
from Coroalta Parts which you will get a lift this week.
