Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's one of two point three Max Andali in the
Morning with You and our next guest caused such a
ruckus in our house when we sat down to watch
the summersh because my kids first met him when he
was a really bad guy Eric in the Divergent series
and they couldn't believe. They couldnt believe he was in

(00:20):
Judge of reality TV show. He's a nice guy, Courtney,
good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
I guess it depends that you ask that I'm a
nice guy or I can do a decent enough job
taking it for this nice.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
One, mate, nice one. Hey, speaking of can we quickly
talk about the news that he's making the papers here
and about one of your current contestants on this season
two in Glen Park's having a crack at our South
Australian Brooklyn won the whole thing lasting what because.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Of a voice?

Speaker 4 (00:48):
I don't know anything.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
It's going mental over here. He's not a very nice guy.
He basically said that, well with lots of sweat is
he's just had a crack at her on socials and
said that he'd push her off a cliff with me.
Had to listen to her voice.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
My god, oh gosh, drama. Well we love a bit
of drama.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
At least it means that you're not the bad guy. Jay,
He's a bad guy in this show.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
You're coming across Roses, Mate.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
There's plenty of villains, and I'm not one of them.
For once.

Speaker 5 (01:18):
Ray tell us about season two of the Summit, because
you do have some regular Aussies but also some famous
faces that we are going to recognize.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
Yeah, we got fourteen hikers having a crack as we
did last year, but there's season one attracted the likes
of a few few familiar faces this year.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Mattie Rodgers, He's coming along for the ride, was the
Sporting Sensation, Samoe McKinnon from.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
McLeod here an Essay Everything.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Yeah, throw back there, and then Tiffany.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Wood from Robs.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
And Olympia Valance.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Yeah, So they'll be keeping things interesting and having a
decent shot at it. Obviously, not everyone makes it to
the top out of the you know, out of the group,
but be interesting to see who are those guys, if
any of them do.

Speaker 5 (02:09):
How do the celebs and the regular everyday punters go together?
Like usually when we're seeing a reality show, it's just
like all celebs or all regular people, but you have
them together and they're competing with each other, and a
lot of these people might have looked up to them
at some point in their lives.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Yeah, I mean it probably makes an interesting dynamic off
the off the you know, off the boot, but there's
no celebrities on the mountain really.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
Once once they.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Start having to push themselves and challenging their own kind
of personal boundaries and limits, all of that kind of
washes away and you've just got you know, humans and
what they're willing to do for themselves and for each other.
And I think one of the things that's great about
this show is there's a lot of camaraderie. I mean,
there's it's a competitive, you know, task in its nature,

(02:59):
but there's some really amazing kind of examples of banding
together and getting each other the top because that's the
only way they can keep as much cash as possible
on the mountain and give themselves a shot at you know,
as much of as possible is getting them all to
the top. So it's really less about the individual and

(03:19):
more about the team. At some point.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Last season, apparently we were hearing stuff that it was
so extreme to work in the weather down there that, like,
the production crew was even going, no, I don't think
we're coming back for a second more.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
Oh yeah, it's hardcore. I mean it really is. You know,
it's you know, we shoot in real time. It is
only sort of fifteen days on the actual mountain, but
we're in the Alps of New Zealand and it's hardcore.
The crews, what they go through to capture this. And
you know, if you've seen season one, you know how
cinematic it is and how much we really try to

(03:51):
capture the essence of an eighties like action blockbuster with
the way this thing is filmed as well, and creating
all that drama in order to capture that. It it
really pushes everyone to their limits.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
Well, speaking of Blockbuster, Brothers in Arms is huge at
the moment on Netflix.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
It's got another run.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
It's nice the algorithm works on that, but but they
pushed it up to the top of the Netflix thing.
Just recently, I've been getting I've been getting hit tons
from from friends and family saying they've seen it and
other people for the first time and it's pretty nice.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Yeah I watched it. Do you get more cash?

Speaker 5 (04:28):
Is it like a fi artist when they get like
three cents for every stream or whatever.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
I might get like two dollars fifty six this year,
something nice in you know, royalties for that, but I
won't hold my breath for it.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
You get all the great jobs, mate, you know, they
send you up a mountain in horrendous weather in the Alps,
they give you two dollars fifty with one of the
great shows and Netflix.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
It's all for the love, you know.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
We love talking to people who are connected to the
A list celebrity world. And you you are so connected
in fact that you have tattoos done on your body
by Will Smith?

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Is that correct?

Speaker 4 (05:08):
No?

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Fantastic not?

Speaker 4 (05:12):
You check your facts good.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
I'm going to look directly at my producer for that one.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Hey, I don't worry. Some could say we could do
our own research.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Too, right, you should? I need to do something clearly
if I'm going to catch.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
Up on Yes, what about this?

Speaker 1 (05:26):
We'll send you a copy of page whatever it is,
one hundred in the tizer and see if you want
to bother reading it.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Mate, I'm deep in it. What about this? Did you
lose a bit Tomago, Robbie or is that a lie?

Speaker 4 (05:37):
I did that and I regret how telling anyone, because
it's that that truth has.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Followed me around for the last ten years. But yeah,
foolishly I did, and I'm still paying for it.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Well, I'm glad you got a dattoo out of any
of it. But in the meantime, Mate, enjoy cashing in
your massive check of two dollars fifty with brothers and
arms that will be watching you on the summit at
Premier Channel nine and nine now seven o'clock Sunday on
Mother's Day. Mother's Day, Ji.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
With your mum and get up the mountain.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
Look forward to hearing about what you and will Smith
get up to next.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
You'll be the first tonight
