Speaker 1 (00:10):
I heart podcasts.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Here more mixed one or two point three podcasts, playlists
and listen live on the free iHeart app.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
What a week, It's what a week.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Port Adelaide's season is about to come to an end.
We could talk about the Crows, we could.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Talk about Isaac Rank and everything in between. But let's
keep it positive.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Let's send Travis bok Off into the sunset Friday night,
his last game and iconic career, the seventh most games,
off the top of my head in AFL history.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
A couple of weeks ago.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
When we broke the news that Travis was retiring, I
was so surprised and humbled by the fact we had
so many.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
People called crying, like what a man they do? I
just love him for his footy.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
This is the thing with Travis bok He obviously port
fans love him, but no one else really seems to
dislike him, which I think you can hang your hat on.
When we opened it up, we got all manner of
emotions from the fans.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Here's my fantasy husband.

Speaker 5 (01:08):
He's just the kindest, sweetest man.

Speaker 6 (01:10):
My husband jokes around that.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
If I ever left him, it'd be for Travis.

Speaker 6 (01:14):
My mom passed away ten years ago and he's wrote
a message in sign a photo for my mum.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
I love him so much.

Speaker 5 (01:19):
No one could top that.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
He's much love for everyone, not just within the for
the footy club, but pretty much everyone in the cross
parts of him has got a great thing to say about.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
Him, and he's been standing ovation for Travis Bolkes on
his last face. I think everybody in the crowd, regardless
who you are, needs to applaud him and give him
the best position that he truly deserves.

Speaker 6 (01:37):
Someone who's never slipped up is Travis Spoke and an
absolute role model. This level of longevity only comes with
extraordinary resilience.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
He stayed true at one club player and I don't
think we see enough about me after all these days.

Speaker 7 (01:50):
What a record breaking careero, former captain, winner of two
John Cohil metals strel Strolan's great role model talking.

Speaker 6 (01:57):
About it, it's just an emotional mess for me. That
number ten, jer Z.

Speaker 8 (02:01):
I hope no one ever wears it again, that his number.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Is a great servant the club.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
It's a tough one kind of they give me for
sus Boke, Well we'll be doing you go.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
I've got choos bumps.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Yeah, I've heard that before and it's still fantastic here
and the names in there. Peter Maleanouscas was in their
Hamish artlet, Rosanna Magarelli last bloke from the cheer Squad.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
That he means a lot too South Australia. What are
we going to do for him his final games Friday night?
Can we do something as a state for Travis Boke,
like statue wise statues? Is he could he do us?
Is he big enough to get a statue? I think
he's deserving, But then there's a lot of deserving.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
People that deserve statues and laid over in like two
hundred years time. It's just going to be statues, isn't it. Yeah,
we need to do something to send off Travis Boke
because he has had such a great impact on so
many people.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
And we would like your assistance if you could give us.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
A ring on thirteen and one oh two three with
some ideas, some thought starters for us by Friday. We
would like to have a proper farewell, a proper end
off planned.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Yeah, an event.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
Us some money thirty dollars to put towards our party.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
He's taken six months, about six months of our salaries.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
In all seriousness, we are going to do something Friday night.
We're going to do something for Travis Bow. We want
you to be part of it. But we don't know
what we want to do yet. Is it a boky bash?
What is it a mural a party?

Speaker 1 (03:31):
What are we going to do?

Speaker 2 (03:32):
We get all the Travis's, We get Travis Pastrana from
the BMX and Motocross to do a backflip.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
Over the Torrents. I don't know, I mind that idea, haven't.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Quite worked it out. This is why we need you
to help us out. Only one or two, three we
want to do this. We want to send him off
and if you call three with a good idea, we're
going to give you some tickets to the show. Speaking
of things that are not fair, like that song, Travis
Bow's retiring.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Yeah, but it's happening at the right time. He's leaving
when he's on a high.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
He's not we suck and no, he's on a high.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
Though you don't want to leave when he's all shriveled
up and no one cares and calling him old anymore.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
The high is that his body is still in good
shape and play okay, football.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
Yeah, but everyone's sad because he's not just a great footballer,
he's a great guy.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
He's given a lot to the state, a lot too,
like childhood cancer.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Yeah, to the fans, I've.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
Never heard a bad words said about Travis Boke. So
we want to do a party. We do something Friday night.
We're going to the game.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
I'm actually going to a port game.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Mm hm, what the hell?

Speaker 1 (04:28):
And we have a little bit of budget.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
My boss outsourcing our brains. What should we do?

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Adelaide Jess in Huntfield Heights is called in Jess, what's
your idea for us?

Speaker 5 (04:37):
I really think you guys should do like a complimation
video of all of the fans and saying bye or
saying like a nice memory of what they've had, and
they play it before the game on the oval, like
on the big.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
I love that.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
My only flag, Jess is so many people love Travis Boke.
That video could go for two and a half hours.

Speaker 5 (04:56):
It definitely could. But I think that either if they
get like maybe like Port members to do it, because
they've obviously like devoted to the club and they've been
there for so long.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Do you know what we could do? I do love that.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
If you're listening to this right now and you love,
send us a video to our inbox on our Instagram.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
I'll put a montage together.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
Montage I'm thinking like YouTube, like open, like an application
of the wrong. Put videos in as well.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Do it? Send us in box us.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
You're a thinker. I appreciate it. Thank you for your advice. Hey,
Jes do you want to go to the Royal? That
lad show?

Speaker 5 (05:27):
You're so good?

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Yeah, all right, you got a family.

Speaker 5 (05:30):
Bass, Thank you very much.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
Okay, great idea done, Cheryl and Seaford. What's your suggestion
for Boky?

Speaker 8 (05:38):
Hey, so it's got to be packed out, so it's
going to be a full house anyway, and every person
who gets in there gets a foat you know those
masks that you wear, like her, a photo.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
Of oh yeah love.

Speaker 8 (05:55):
So when the fan, when the TV like the cameras
film around and then they've just got Travis face.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
I love that.

Speaker 8 (06:04):
And if you've got fifty one thousand people there, it's
just fifty on thousand.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Printing costs may not stretch that.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Far our budget.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
I don't know if we've quite got fifty thousands cutouts
in our budget.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
We don't someone want to get fired for us.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
To do that if we had or we could fire someone,
who would we fire? Joking? I guess.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
We've been lost with our here.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
The show wouldn't work, but we'd have those cutouts of Travis.
I love the idea. I love the idea. We'll see
how many we can get with our with our little budget.
Do you want to go to the wall show?

Speaker 8 (06:41):
You could do it instead of it where Wally with Travis?

Speaker 3 (06:44):
That's just one cutout one?

Speaker 1 (06:49):
All right, thanks Cheryl.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
You've got tickets to the show, by the way. Yeah, coo,
all right, we'll speak about it later anyway. Emma and
Elizabeth Grove, good morning.

Speaker 6 (06:57):
Hey, how are you guys? Good? I reckon you guys
need to do like a play on words with his name.

Speaker 5 (07:03):
So how about like a Travis boat party down like
the river Torrents or something.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Of this Travis Travis boat. We need to.

Speaker 6 (07:13):
Favorites on there little like party. Just before you get on.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Who's got a boat?

Speaker 3 (07:19):
Travis?

Speaker 1 (07:19):
We need a big boat, though.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
Not just like a bunch of tinnies up together on
the Torrents.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Who sank the boat?

Speaker 3 (07:25):
That's a silly idea.

Speaker 9 (07:27):
Can you just launch any boat you want into the time.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
I don't think so. I've never seen I've rowed. You
could do a row boat.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
Come on, there's no boat ramp. There's going to be
a boat that like lives in there.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Yeah, so row boats or the Popeye pretty much the Popeye.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
How many Popeyes are there?

Speaker 3 (07:44):
Two? Three?

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Imagine that.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
Imagine on the Popeye while people are crossing the bridges
and we're just having a Travis boat party.

Speaker 7 (07:53):
I love that the pot and we could do Cheryl's
idea and get some cutouts of faces on the boat,
the Travis Boat.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
I enamored with your idea. We like the idea. We
think it would thank you.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
Because anyone has a contact with the Pope.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
Mister. First things first, Emma, you got tickets to the show.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Second things second, I.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Love this so much.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
We need a boat.

Speaker 9 (08:27):
Ye give your show tickets for your boat.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
We will give you show tickets.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
We just need a boat, preferably one on the Torrents,
because it would be as fun as it would be
to be on a boat like at Outer Harbor.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
It's not close to the floor.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Now, that's not funny. We don't want to go on
the kor wrong. I don't care about that. It's got
nothing to do with Travis Boat.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
Yeah. If you're in Perth right now and you're calling
with a boat, we don't want it.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
We would love to be the Torrents someone who has
a contact to the Torrens pop Popeye, I guess, or just.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Even that, either the Popeye, which would be that's number one,
but b would be the little ones that you ride
individually with a couple.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
The little Barbecue Boys.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
Barbecue Boys would be cool.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
That's not enough, though, we need it bigger.

Speaker 9 (09:04):
All right, we'll have a think we've now heads together and.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
Not Travis Bokes.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
It's just Travis's boat.

Speaker 8 (09:13):
All right.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
If you owned the Popeye call us please.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
Emma Elizabeth Grove called in. Yeah, it was Emma.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Emma called in and said, you know what you guys
should do for Travis Boke's farewell? Should do a plan
words and you should do it Travis Boat party, so clever,
and instantly we decided we like that idea. The only
thing we're missing is Travis Boke because he'll be playing
footy and a boat because we don't own a boat.

Speaker 4 (09:39):
And then we said, hey, does anyone know the person
who owns the Popeye, Like is it a person that
owns a Popeye or is it the city of Adelaide?

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Not really certain, But the power of giving your phone
number on the radio and saying corlus if you have
any idea, sometimes it works. We have on theline what
is written on my screen as Tony Popeye owner.

Speaker 6 (10:03):
Good morning it goes. Look I heard on the gravene
a great idea about Travis boat boat boat boat.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
Boat boat Travis boat.

Speaker 6 (10:16):
So hey, look they really happy to help out Friday night.
Yeah we could.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
We've got the Popeye.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
Okay, so the plan is Popeye in front of Adelaide Oval.
But we have to like decorate it or something. We
have to make it Travis bokey.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
We can work that out.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Can we do that? Tony?

Speaker 6 (10:37):
Absolutely?

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Man.

Speaker 6 (10:38):
Yeah, Look we'll have a couple of hours to get
in the boat already and decorate it. Whereas I don't know,
we'll have to use your prayers about the decoration. That's
not a problem.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
Make it happen a port man.

Speaker 6 (10:51):
Yes, since since primary school.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
So you've got a vested interest in this, okay.

Speaker 6 (10:59):
Well you know, yeah sure, I mean South Australia's first
and foremost ports closed. Second, Yeah, have you.

Speaker 4 (11:06):
Got a sound system on the Popeye? Have you got
a sound system, like a really good speaker that.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
We can crank.

Speaker 6 (11:13):
Well, yeah, I've got extra speakers too, so we can
actually blast everybody on the class breach as they're walking across.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
A song to play.

Speaker 6 (11:22):
Tony looking forward to it. Look, get in touch with
me as soon as you can and we'll set something out. Okay,
Oh my.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
God, Tony, you are the best. You're the man.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
Incredible.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
We have one of the Popeye boats that iconic boats
that float around on the Torrens, and we can use
it Friday.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
Let's just like around five thirty ish.

Speaker 6 (11:42):
Yeah, yep, yeah, my question.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
How many people fit on the boat?

Speaker 6 (11:46):
About fifty?

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Done?

Speaker 6 (11:49):
Are you happy for us.

Speaker 9 (11:49):
To take over and do food and drinks and like
actually have a party.

Speaker 6 (11:53):
That's up to you guys. Now, look, I'm in the
in your hands, in your hand, do whatever you like.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Tony, you are the man. All right, that's locked in.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
Well, we've got the three of us and Tony coming,
so forty six more, maybe forty six spots to feel
all out.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
We'll work it out, all right, Stay tuned tomorrow we'll
do the logistics with Tony off air.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Yeah, but on air we'll say thank you very much. Toney,
you're the man.

Speaker 6 (12:19):
Hey, you're welcome. You're welcome. Anything for Travis. Yeah, stuck
with it, stuck with thick and thin.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
At Travis Boke party on the torrest.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
Yea party, all right, Tony, you're the man. Thank you.
We will speak no worries, legend. I love this spoken
into existence, didn't we Yes?

Speaker 4 (12:39):
Okay, so we just need to go away and you know,
work out how we're gonna do this.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
But we will have tickets. I'm massooming tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
That's our next thing.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
We'll work out tickets to the boat and then tickets
to the footy. You can't have a boat party without
tickets of the foot.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
Going to the Oh my god, people crossing the bridge
are going to see us having a party on the boat.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
That's so fun.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
You know what I really want on the boat.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
I want one of those like you know how you
have mermaids want Travis.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
I want a Travis Boke on the front of the ship.

Speaker 9 (13:07):
Yeah out, all right, I'm on their website now, Hey,

nice place to sit and.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
