Mix one O two point three. Good Morning, Adelaide, Haley
and Max in the morning.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Let's do this.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Daily hand maxes.

Speaker 4 (00:25):
Wall of Truth.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Hailey person is going through the wall of truth.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Today we ask each other some deeply personal questions and
get some uncomfortable answers to learn a little bit more
about the inner workings of Haley and Max. Haley, my
question for you today, does working two jobs resort to
you at times being a lazy parent?

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (00:53):
That sounds really negative, doesn't it lazy?

Speaker 2 (00:57):
But everyone would do engine you don't want to be.

Speaker 6 (01:01):
But something that h I think when you're so exhausted,
and the idea of having to get down and play
with your children when you just want to sit on
the couch.

Speaker 5 (01:17):
Is really hard work. I feel guilty saying that. I
feel so guilty saying that. Okay, so I had it yesterday.

Speaker 6 (01:26):
I went to a primary school with both my kids
and they were playing but one was playing basketball, one
was playing soccer. There was a footy on the oval,
and I wanted to sit in my car like I
was just I just wanted to sit down for a bit, right,
I didn't.

Speaker 5 (01:42):
I went out and I played footy, I was doing soccer.
I was so exhausted.

Speaker 6 (01:45):
I was puffing like a like I haven't exercised before
my life. And then after about fifteen minutes, I was
I was done, and Alfie still wanted me to play soccer.

Speaker 5 (01:55):
But I was like, hey, let's lie on the grass.

Speaker 6 (02:00):
You go that way, I'll go this way, and let's
join our feet and just like we're doing like a
riding a bicycle, so we can just lie on the grass.
But we're still like, just it's a game. And he's like,
so he gets down. He gets down and he starts
and he's like.

Speaker 5 (02:13):
What is his mom?

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Yeah, this is boring.

Speaker 7 (02:15):
What are you doing?

Speaker 5 (02:16):
I'm like, I just want some dime out.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Didn't get anything.

Speaker 5 (02:22):
Yeah, he had to get back up and play soccer
with him.

Speaker 6 (02:24):
But like, I've had this weird battle where.

Speaker 5 (02:28):
I know I'll regret this one day.

Speaker 6 (02:29):
People always go, your kids will never remember a day
in front of the TV, which is so true. They
only remember actual things that you do with them, so
you do have to get down and play with them.
But one of my most laziest moments would be when
they were both little. I used to lie on the
floor and say to them, guys, we've got a game.
You have to walk up and down my back. I

(02:51):
don't mind if you roll, you can do somersaults, whatever
you do. Because I were little, they were like three,
like one and four. Yeah, they're so light, and it was.

Speaker 5 (02:59):
The best massage I've ever had, I reckon.

Speaker 6 (03:02):
I would do it every day for about twenty five minutes,
and I'd get a twenty five minute message.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
But I was play that's good parenting. It's lazy, though,
isn't it.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
No? But do you regret that at all? Because you're
still together, you're still sharing money.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
Yeah, I regret.

Speaker 6 (03:18):
You know when they go, can you come and play
with like imaginative? Play play with these figurines with me?
And you go, yeah, one minute, I'll be there in
one second. And you know that you're not gonna be
there in one second because you just want to see
on your phone from scrolling.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
If you had more, say lazy parenting hacks, but just
like imaginative ways to distract your kids like that, would
you do them?

Speaker 7 (03:40):
Though?

Speaker 5 (03:41):
Yeah? Yeah, I know that makes me sound like a
bad person, doesn't it? Do you know what it is?

Speaker 6 (03:45):
It is though, it is one of those things that
you do. You do feel guilty anything with anything to do.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
With kids and parenting. You feel guilty, no matter what.
You feel guilty. Going to work you feel guilty. Then
when you're not going to work. There's a lot of
guilt around being a lazy parent.

Speaker 6 (04:00):
You're a lazy parent over there, is that what you're saying.
But you're a dad lazy sometimes of.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
A ten dollar doctor's kid from Kmart and pretend you're
sick and they're the doctor and you're the patient.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
You get to lay there while they check.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Your different.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Mix one or two point three. It's Taylea Max in
the morning.

Speaker 5 (04:19):
We're talking about lazy parenting hats.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Sarah in Greenpoint gives you lazy parenting hack.

Speaker 7 (04:24):
I get my kids to play hide and seek and
then I don't find them.

Speaker 6 (04:32):
They take it so seriously too, and they wait and
they wait.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Sarah, how do you keep them on the leash to
know that you are still playing the game?

Speaker 2 (04:39):
In inverted commas?

Speaker 7 (04:41):
So wh's whatever I've chosen to do with my time.
I just randomly call out at intervals doing so well
where have they gone? They are giggling, so I know
they're fine and I get to do what I need
to do.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
I see the feet from behind the lamp. They're just like,
it's very obviously where you are, Sarah.

Speaker 6 (05:00):
Perfect Tracy in hackam, what is your lazy parenting hack?

Speaker 4 (05:03):
As a mother of two boys under four, the best
purchase I've ever made is a sharpie and a white
T shirt, and I drew road maps all over the
T shirt. I'd wear the T shirt, lie on the floor,
give the boys a matchbox curage and they would drive
it all over my backs of fun wowers of fun.

Speaker 5 (05:25):
I loved it. I loved it.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Is it like a back scratch trace, It's.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
A back scratch splash message. It was amazing. We got
to hang out together, they had fun. I got to relax.

Speaker 5 (05:35):
I love that.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
Everybody win.

Speaker 5 (05:37):
When you think about it. We just really want to
lie down, don't we. I don't want to do anything.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
But lie down giving people the chance to later. Thank you, Tracy,
very good. Nicole and Flinders Park. Nicole, you play a
game name Hibernating Bears. Can you tell us how that works?

Speaker 8 (05:52):
So when I'm feeling a little bit tired, all me
and my twin boys. We get into the bed and
we pretend that we're bears and we've got to go
to sleep for the winter. So we lie there and
we pretend to snore and we close our eyes. And
then every now and then they yell it's the end
of winter, and they jump up.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
And then I'm like, baby, bears, you've start to go
and find food so that we're ready for next winter.
So I send them out around the house and they
go and find food to eat, and they come back
and we pretend it's winter again, and we go back
to sleep, and it's educational and I get to lie
in bed.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
This one's good.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
It serves a dual purpose because you get to have
the lay down and then also they bring you foods.
Great the goal that is perfect that it's like We've
had so many people commenting as well online.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Norell has a fantastic lazy parenting hack.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
She lets her kids eat ice blocks in the bath
because they love ice blocks but they hate bars, so
that means that they tolerate the bath. They can eat
the ice blocks and she doesn't have to worry about
the cleanup at all.

Speaker 6 (06:55):
Yeah, that's but can she lie down. That's what she's
missing there, you'd lay on the tiles.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Yeah, maybe Renee has written in all you need is
a paintbrush, water and a fence.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
My children, I would give them the paint brush in
the water.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
They would paint the fence and they would go along
with the water and then it would disappear.

Speaker 5 (07:12):
Oh my god, that is so clever. We need to
write a book on this.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
This is so good.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Vanessa and Manta paraw West bring us home. You've got
another lazy peraging hack for us.

Speaker 9 (07:21):
We would play the game called what Doesn't Belong? And
I would sit on the couch and they.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
Would clean the living room.

Speaker 9 (07:27):
And it worked to creat well. They were toddlers. We
would sing like a little jingle that would make them
want to do it. And then as they got older,
I just used their competitive spirits and they would race
each other, grab an item, send it home, race back in,
grab another one, and they're just cleaning up.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
So what doesn't belong is pretty much everything that needs
to be cleaned away.

Speaker 9 (07:48):
Everything that doesn't live in the lound room gets put away.

Speaker 5 (07:50):
What it doesn't belong?

Speaker 2 (07:52):
What was the song, Vanessa? Howd the song go? Do
you really want it, yes, because we want to employ this.

Speaker 9 (07:58):
All right, let's play the game called what Doesn't Belong?
Can you tell me what doesn't belong in the living
room from them to

Speaker 5 (08:09):
Room because its old us that doesn't below there
