Right now, I would like to say off the top,
we don't encourage this, don't break the law, but if
you're gonna do it like this, because it is damn cool.
Ocean's eleven, if you like any of those highst movies,

(00:32):
it's happened in real life, and it's happened at the Louver.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Yeah, I mean, how cliche is that that happens in
Paris a massive jewelry heist.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Yeah, we have had a proper jewelry heighst experienced thieves.
They've taken inestimable value. That's what it's been described as.
Because it is like a tiara from Napoleon's wife. It
is God not tiara for example, has oney three hundred
and fifty four diamonds and fifty six emeralds on it.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
And that's the start.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
There's necklaces, earrings, brooches, another tiara, all from various French royalty.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
I know they did it in seven minutes, but how
First of all, I love this because it's so Thomas
Crown Affair, like planning before getting there, doing it pulling
it off.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
How did they do it?

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Well, if you've seen any of the movies, you know
you've got to have a team.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Yeah, and they had a team.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
So they rolled in nine point thirty Sunday morning. Took
them seven minutes to make off with the jewels. They
approached the building from the outside where there was some
work taking place on the building.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Oh so were they dress as workers? You bet they
You bet they had. They had high vis on.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
There was a truck and there was a basket lift
that was used to get them access into the museum.
They then used them agle grinder and some power tools,
breaking certain windows, cutting through certain bits of glass, purposes circle, absolutely,
you know it was. I assume there were lasers at
some point that they threw a smoke bomb and had
to like bend through.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Was there like a saucy kind of flirtatious decoy, Of
course there was.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
So if we were to have a crew with everyone
that worked and we were going to rob you Adelaide Royalty,
like from the Adelaide, how do it?

Speaker 3 (02:14):
What would you play? What role would you play? I
wouldn't be the getaway driver. You would be terrible. It
would be the last choice. I would be the decoy.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
I would definitely be the friendly person that comes up
and tries to distract the security.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Yes, are you wearing something? Just a little bit of okay,
how are you?

Speaker 2 (02:31):
And I would just be really friendly and distract them
with questions and stuff like that.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Meanwhile, what would you be doing.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
I'm just picturing you in the background doing that, and
the security guy's got a bit of doughnut falling outside, and.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
I'm saying, how hot he is? Really good when you
do George Clerney, obviously you're yeah. Whatever guy that comes
down and is like Tom Cruis mission impossible, you're that?
You're that guy or the getaway driver. I reckon, I'm
the sloppy guy who forgets to do something, and then.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
You're the getaway driver who forgets to actually part from
the park and we run out of the building.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
If you're not there, what do you mean he didn't
turn the alarm off?

Speaker 1 (03:08):
That means the police will be here in We've all
got synchronized thirty seconds.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
I love this so much.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Anyway, they got a bit of the jewelry back, and
they've got one or two of the thieves, but there
is still a lot of French jewelry, French Royalty Jury.
