Speaker 1 (00:10):
I heard podcasts here more mixed one or two point
three podcasts, playlists and listen live on the free iHeart app.
You dried off after the weekend, especially Saturday. If you
were out and about on Saturday, you were absolutely soaked,
especially if you went to Harvest Rock Festival. Yeah. Hell,
the presets were there, their set was all right. They

(00:30):
got they got away unaffected.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
By the weather. The Strokes were the headline masks. They
were Yeah. Were they late like nighttime?

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Oh yeah, they were the last one. They'd finished it
just before eleven o'clock.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Okay, that's wild. I was so worried they were going
to be canceled. No, they were great. It was good.
Advanced Joy was there. Mia was their huge Saturday lineup.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
I think yesterday went off with that a hitch, but
Saturday big problems because the weather was atro shit.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Well, I text you in the morning because all week
people have been worried about the storms, and I was like,
what storms?

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Max? It was like blue sky, that was beautiful.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
You went really early on that. It was like a
ten am text. I was like, oh no, this is
definitely not good.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Say you're at the festival already.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
No, we would have got there, So we were planning
to get there about three o'clock. Bag Graders was the
first act. We wanted to see the people at the
Shooting Stars.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
You love that it was in your wedding site.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
It was, it was, it was on our wedding video.
And then we like the weather started to set in.
We had the gum boots ready and everything, but jumped
on the Harvest Rock Instagram and they've put up a
little story all in red and orange like warning colors
warning adverse weather alert. There is a storm cell approaching
the festival site. If you're on your way, hold off.

(01:42):
If you are there, shelter.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
So where did everyone shelter and how did everyone get
a ponchhow.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
So a lot of people were very organized and had
their ponchos and gum boots, but all of every single
pub and bar and restaurant on Rundle Street was they.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Would have loved. This is great for hospitality. Absolutely all
those wet, smelly, drunk people coming in.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Yeah, before that had a chance to really set into
the mud, so there wasn't too much mud being tracked
through the establishments. So what happened was because there was
like this pause in the festival for an hour. A
couple of acts didn't play, including wolf Mother.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Oh that's so said who.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Everyone was very excited about because they said, we're only
going to come and play our first album. Everyone's like,
that's one of the best Australia albums of all time.
What they did is they jmed on Instagram and said
you're around tonight at eleven thirty in the Hotel Metro
on Great Street, we'll play And they did play.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Yeah, in the pub. That's so wild. I always think
of the bands and go what happens if they're canceled
at the last minute. They just put the whole their
gear over. They're there, They're ready to go. That is awesome.
I love that they did that.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
That's rock and roll.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Yeah, I was so good. Don't you go to that.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
No, because I was absolutely I was destroyed. After a
day in the mud, we did get there. It was muddy,
you just deal with it. Fortunately it was warm enough
that no one was freezing and col and wet.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
You just how warm.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Did the shower feel when you got in the shower
and you're rubbing all that foul might off your legs.
There's nothing quite like it.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Delightful honestly, so delightful.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
It's like after having a sea section and you're all
got all the blood on you, Andy, you get the
shower and they what it off.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
I was just about to say it reminded me of
my first sea Section's.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
The best shower of your life. Jubella, Are you okay?
You're alive? You weren't missing for several hours?

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Goodling? Yeah, great, okay, don't jump on the mic or anything.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
That's fine.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
We don't want to talk to you nor my Maty's
mate let her mind lost their voice at the festival.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Didn't see anyone, did you?

Speaker 1 (03:45):
No?

Speaker 2 (03:45):
I didn't see a single person omeber walking in and
then I had to leave.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
And then I woke up with my friend ringing my
doorbell eleven.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Thirty at night. Yeah. I was with your friends at
the festival and I'd never met them before that morning.
And then we're all like, where's Bella at the Strokes?
Have you been with r.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Someone go and try and find her. This is really
poor form.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
It was a medical episode in a portaloo and then
you avoided the medical tent as you do, and stumbled
home somehow.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Yeah, like I wanted to find.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
The medical tent, but at the time it was like
when the festival was back on, so everyone was like
I was fighting.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
The crowd was going the other direction, and I was like, Oh,
I'll just go home. I live so close. But I
should have pushed it into the medical So you should
have called someone your friends.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
I would have loved a text. At the same time,
I had too many drinks in my hand to respond
