Speaker 1 (00:10):
I heard podcasts here more mix one or two point
three podcasts, playlists and listen live on the free iHeart app.
We're not exactly on the high seas. Here on the Torrents.
There's not a breath of wind. I can see a
couple of rain drops. But I would suggest that given
we are the only traffic, we're not going to run
into any nautical issues.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
No, this is the kind of boat I like to
be on.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
I would like to throw back to a time when
there were nautical issues, because Haley in the wall of
truth where you have to answer something truthfully and honestly.
I know you have a few stories you can go
to here. What is the wildest thing, Hailey Pierson, that
has ever happened to you on a boat?

Speaker 3 (00:52):
I have so many of these, and I'm not gonna
lie with my show.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Holloa. We've got a new.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Rule that we're not gonna go on any boats anymore.
We say that every year, and every year we're like, oh,
we're back on a boat again, and every time something happens,
I'm gonna go away from South Australia.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
This one happened in Fiji.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Saucy about I don't know five years ago. We're over
there filming and we're late for the big catamaran that
were meant to go on to a place called Cloud nine,
which is like a cool bar in the middle of
the ocean.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Clud nine is one of the most famous surf breaks
in the way.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
To go out there, right, we were late, so we
had to go on this little tinny. We hired this
Fiji and man to take us out to the to
Cloud nine. It was myself, Lauren, my co host, and
our camera crew. As we're going out, it started like this.

Speaker 4 (01:35):
It was beautiful, glassy, and.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
All of a sudden, within about I don't know, twenty minutes,
it takes.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Two hours to get out there on a tinny.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
On a tinny, two hours out into the middle of
the ocean, shark riddled.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
It starts massive waves.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
I'm talking the size of two story buildings either side.
We were literally trying to manage the weight of which
side we're going to go over. Lauren's saying to me,
can you swim? Like, can you swim? I'm like, yes,
I can swim. I was very good at swimming Carnival.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
I actually won the freestyle.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Was the man driving at the man in charge of
it the Fiji, and like he was like this is
normal or was he starting to get He's the thing.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
That scared me because he just wanted the money from us.
He just kept looking ahead. As the boat is bouncing,
the lady, the Fijian lady that we were with, starts
doing the like the cross, sign of the cross, the
sign of the cross. We all had like life jackets on.
I was thinking, I'm going to die. I'm the only
mum on this ship because at that stage, no one
else was a parent, so they didn't.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
It's just life changes. When you have kids. You've got
more to live for.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
Oh, your life's more valuable than it is because.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
I have to be there for my children. It's true.
Mom can't die.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
So anyway, we're on this thing and we said to like,
could you just take us to the closest place, take
us to an island.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
We don't want to go out there.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
This is insane. We're scared we're going to die. So
then he diverts and goes to this little island and
we found out that the there was actually a cyclone
and everyone on Cloud nine was evacuated and.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Nobody thought to say anything before you got.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
In a tinny for two hours.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
He wanted the money.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Anyway, we get to this little island and the first
thing I do is call my beautiful husband, going, oh
my god, and I just burst into tears when.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
You hear someone's voice that you love. And I was crying, going.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
On, my god, Lauren, Lauren.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
And I was like to say Lauren and I and
he's like, oh my god, is Lauren dead?

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Lauren's dead? And he went started going through the motions
that Lauren had.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Died, and I was like, no, Lauren and I are
on this deserted island right now.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
We almost died.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
And he thought he actually thought that we had died.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
And then and then the island that we were on,
I was.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Like, can I just get a margarita and a couple
of the cocktails please?

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Anyway, it.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
Wasn't deserted. It was really nice. It was a result,
so it.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
Was it was. It wasn't a desert island. It was
a beautiful island with with cocktails and piece. But there
was that moment where we all thought we were going
to die.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
It was awful.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
I don't think we're going to have that moment tonight
on the Travis boat. I don't think we anticipate too
many two story waves coming down.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
You never know, though, Sometimes fairies, it happens.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
You don't.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
You can be pretty sure. On the Torrent, I mean yeah.
On the Pop Bye, Tony's not gonna kill us, are you, Tony?

Speaker 4 (04:16):
Yeah? Tony sweet? Look you sweet.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Tony has started to shift at five am and has
to keep going at seven pm tonight, but who knows,
so we'll just be tired. Worst happens is we run
into something thirty one oh two three, Adelaide, What is
the wildest thing that's ever happened to you?

Speaker 4 (04:31):
On the water on a boat,
