Speaker 1 (00:10):
My Heart podcasts here more mixed one or two point
three podcasts, playlists and listen live on the free iHeart app.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
It's a sad day exactly. We're all a little bit rattled.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Because one of the all time greats retired yesterday. Travis
Bok after three hundred and eighty four I Believe games
four Port Adelaide, seventh all time on the playing list
in the entire history of the AFL, has decided I
can't do it anymore.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
He's thirty seven. Time to retire.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
My body is no good anymore to it.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
From the outside it's fine.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
His bloody is very good from the outside, and we
want to know from you it's out.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Bye bye, Bokey. Hotline thirty one O two three.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Please give us a ring with your memories of the
great man.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
Caitlin in Upper Hermitage. What do you want to say
about Boky?

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Are you feeling devastated? Isn't it? Whatsitl?

Speaker 5 (01:04):
What a record breaking career, both nineteen year AFL career,
former captain, two winner of two John Cahill Medals streel,
Australian runner up of a Brownlow. What a great a
great role model.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
How did you feel when you saw the news yesterday.

Speaker 5 (01:22):
Oh happy, that's sad. I feel. I feel that he's
making a good decision for his body and family, and
he's left behind a good legacy.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
It's the end of an era, isn't it.

Speaker 5 (01:32):
It is? And today I also feel for russelly, but
you know, I think of him as well on times
like this, and I think he's also proud and.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Yeah, Russell loved Trav Russell.

Speaker 5 (01:42):
Yeah, they were great mates.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Caitlyn and unselfish retiring this year even though he was
so close to four hundred games.

Speaker 5 (01:49):
Yeah, absolutely, very selfless. That this shows his true characteristics,
doesn't it.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Od he keeps giving me goose bumps.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Thank you, Caitlin, Thank you for that emotional call. Anastasia
in Mawson Lakes.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
How are you feeling about our man Travis Boke hanging
the boots up?

Speaker 6 (02:05):
Oh? I don't know.

Speaker 7 (02:05):
I was already crying yesterday all day.

Speaker 6 (02:07):
It's just talking about it.

Speaker 7 (02:08):
It's just an emotional mess for me. That number ten Guernsey,
I will you know. I hope no one ever wears
it again. That's his number. It should stay from now on.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
I wonder if say happens with that.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (02:22):
They need to hang it up.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Retired and he's at Port Adelaide, but they could retire
that one.

Speaker 8 (02:27):
Yeah, I think so.

Speaker 7 (02:28):
And the fact that he didn't win a premiership just
gutters me to my call. I just he's the one
person I believe in football career that should have had
that win and that enjoyment.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Yeah, because he came in. I remember Travis a couple
of years ago. It was talking at Geelong when he
signed a new deal. He was saying his first year
he played in a Grand Final. Two thousand and seven,
he played in the Grand files come around all the time.
Port got smacked in that Grand Final and he's like,
that's cool, I'll get another chance. And here we are
nineteen years later, never got another chance of playing a grond.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
And the worst.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
Like you'd almost want to wait for it to leave
on a high. But it's yeah, crappy year, isn't it.

Speaker 6 (03:05):
That's all right.

Speaker 7 (03:06):
I will decorate my house for the rest of the
year in Power colors and the number ten, and everyone
the crows out in my family will have to suck
it up.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
Yes, Santastasia, love it, Anastasia, thank you.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Fly the flag. Miles in Hillbank, our Miles is in
the porch.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Yes, God, Miles, I imagine yesterday was a devastating day
for you.

Speaker 8 (03:24):
I don't think there was a dry eye in the
anyone that as a port supporter.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Really yeah, he's a big deal.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Why was it such a big deal for your Miles?

Speaker 8 (03:35):
Just a great serving to the club. I don't know.
It's a tough.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
One, oh, Miles.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
It's tough because you spend so much time watching these
people and.

Speaker 8 (03:48):
Well, it's not just that he never he is always
he was always there for his people, you know what
I mean. He never thought he was better than anyone else.
That's That's one thing that trad can is Is this
a gentleman?

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Is that?

Speaker 4 (04:00):
What if Travis is listening to this right now, which
he may well be, what do you want to say
to him?

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Miles?

Speaker 8 (04:07):
Thank you mister Boak.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Yeah, oh Miles, I feel bad.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
I didn't realize how much a footy player can mean
to someone that's really nice.

Speaker 8 (04:18):
Like I said, we're a family of Yeah, beg you,
mister trubs boke. We will be missing you.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Oh now I'm going to cry your legend. It's all right.
We'll find a new Travis boke.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
We'll do what we can and we'll remember all the
good times we have with him being an absolute legend
of our club.

Speaker 8 (04:37):
I can't believe I'm crying on radio.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
I say, that's what's really nice about Port. That is
why I chose Port originally, is because of people like you.
You are so loyal to your club and your people,
and it's really nice to hear like.

Speaker 8 (04:49):
Yeah, he's just greate seven to the club. He will
be missed, but let's just hope the club just keeps
him around.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Yeah, yeah, maybe a little assistant coach, he said, you
wanted to stick around to some performances.

Speaker 8 (05:02):
He's a great mentor to everybody on and off the field.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
So you're the man, Myles. Hey, no shame in those two.
All right, it's a sad day for all of.

Speaker 8 (05:10):
Us out life, guys.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
Oh what a day today.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Travis bo has retired from the Footy World th roundred
and eighty four games, all sorts of accolades. One of
Port Adelaide's all time great. It's one of the AFL's
all time great. Future Hall of Famer for sure. And
Mazzie in the newsroom, you're a big Port gal.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
How do you feel about this.

Speaker 9 (05:31):
Ah, there were a few tearshit just before when you
were talking because Travis bog he used to come in
here years ago. He is just genuinely, off the field,
the nicest guy. I'm one of the nicest guys I've
ever met, and he's I think what I love about
him is he's a great role model for our kids.
Absolutely he is. He's such a beautiful family man. I

(05:52):
know he lost his dad at a really young age.
I lost my dad at nineteen, and so I felt
this real connection with him. And he's just rallied around
his mum. He looks after his sisters. He's just such
a beautiful, beautiful guy. And again, like you say, he
does that with his teammates. Well, he's a father figure,
a bit of a you know, taken on that role
and he's just absolutely beautiful.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Pepper took him into his house.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Yeah, yeah, I wonder how Malle feels about this. Oh,
he'd be so sad.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
I wouldn't be surprised if Peter Mallanus, he's a big
pork fan, came out this morning and said state day
of morning.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Yeah, I'm having the day off.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Aally he's not dead. Yeah, but his career is you know.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Yeah, he's not dead.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
He's just dead on the football field.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
He's going to still be in the football world, and
I'm sure we'll probably get to know more of him now.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
He'll be in the media somewhere.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
We got three more games with Travis Poke to Cherish.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Should I come to the final game?

Speaker 2 (06:47):
I want to do that. No prow scarfs. Okay, you
don't have to wear any pork gear, but you have
to be there.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
Yeah I will. I will wear number ten.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Look at you remembering his number.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Yeah, we've got the Bye Bye Boky hotline. Yeah, I
told you I love him as a human.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
I don't know about him, as you know, I don't
know all his stats and stuff, but he sounds like
the most beautiful human being.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
He's universally loved it. We want to hear from you
about that.

Speaker 10 (07:11):
We have got the Buyer by a Bokey Hotline open
on thirteen, one, two three after this year.

Speaker 11 (07:15):
The last three years, I've been saying to Mama, this
will be my last year, and she hasn't missed the
game since then. But yeah, this has been the challenge
for sure. My body was probably the first to go
and then yeah, my mind sort of was pretty quickly
after that that I can't do what I used to
be able to do, and my passion for what's next
is almost more now than playing footy.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
We talk footy. We don't talk too much footy on
this show.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
But Travis Boke is the sort of person you have
to talk about after the career that he's had for
Port Adelaide in this state, in the national competition.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
So call us with your memories of travs.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
We've had grown men crying on our show this morning,
and that's just so beautiful, how loved he is.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Kim in Davren Parks called in, Kim, what do you
want to say about TRAVI?

Speaker 12 (07:56):
I was trying not to cry. My mom passed away
ten years ago, and he personally recognized that.

Speaker 6 (08:03):
That was nice. It was really good.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
What did you do? Kim?

Speaker 12 (08:07):
He club got us out on the on the oval
with the guys who took a photo and then he
wrote a message and signed a photo for my mum.
Oh that is so that you got to see it.
But yeah, he was an avid Port Power fan. Her
her funeral was poor Power.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
Then if he's thing right now, we are putting all
this together and we're going to send it to him.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
But what do you want to say to him?

Speaker 12 (08:32):
Just oh, I love him so much, Like there's no one,
no one could top that. So I'm trying to say,
that's cract no one can no one could top that.
That was it was the most most beautiful thing ever.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Yeah, thank you so much for sharing.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Absolutely, it's a sad day, a happy day.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
Let's be happy about the great career Trav had and
let's do it with someone that spent a lot of
the time with him. Hamish Hartlet Port Adelaide, now the
Magpiees coach, but he played with Trav.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Joins us right now more than ham.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
Are you all you today, Hamish Hammish.

Speaker 13 (09:12):
We've only known each other for like ten years.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
It's like it's like a wake on here this morning.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Trad's fine, he's still alive, he's still going to play
the last three games.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
But so many people are devastated about the Yeah.

Speaker 13 (09:25):
I think that is a bit of a testament to
the type of character that Travis. You know, he's much
loved by everyone, not just within the falls of the
footy club, but pretty much everyone that cross paths with
him has got a great thing to say about him,
you know, a great story to tell, and yeah, it's
just the type of person he is. He's always got
plenty of time for everyone, and really humble guy and

(09:46):
well loved.

Speaker 4 (09:47):
Well hamish. This wouldn't have just come out of left field.
This would have been a decision that he has probably
been brewing.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
For a while. How does this happen? Does he come
to you guys and go, what do you think should
I retire?

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Or like, how did it happen?

Speaker 13 (10:00):
I must admit I actually didn't know it was happening
until I rekon yesterday morning. I sort of saw the calendar.
I thought there was an extra meeting in there that
wouldn't normally have been in there for a Tuesday, and
I thought something's going on here. Now, I'm sure Trav
had had conversations with a few other people, you know,

(10:21):
over the last few days, his close family and very
close friends and that sort of thing, so I'm sure
it had been organized for probably the last week or so.
But yeah, I think it cames a little bit of
a surprise in terms of the timing of it for
a lot of us. But as Trev spoke about yesterday,
like he felt the time of high and I think

(10:43):
after nineteen seasons that's probably fair enough.

Speaker 4 (10:46):
You know what it's like too, Hamish, you had to
hang your boots up. You were a star player and
then you had to hang your boots up and you've
now pivoted into another role. How do you think mentally
he'll go retiring after so long?

Speaker 13 (10:59):
Yeah, there would definitely be a tricky little transition period
for trav You know when you spend he spent over
half of his life looking through the four walls of
the Port Adelaide footy club and in the same routine,
and so when you change that up, that is it
can provide some of the struggles. But what we do

(11:20):
know about Travis that he's built some incredible connections and
relationships over that period of time. He's already planted the
seed in terms of what he wants to do with
his career outside of football and the type of person
he is. Wo we absolutely find transitioning into the next
career that he's got ahead of him. But yeah, there
will probably be a tricky little period for him. But

(11:42):
he's got enough support networks around him to help him
get through those times.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Is he going to stay at the club you're going
to be one of your little assistant coaches.

Speaker 13 (11:49):
Maybe I don't know that he's the coaching. Yeah, really
appeases to him, to be honest, But yeah, he's really
keen to get involved in the mental psychological side of
the game. I think he's yeah, yeah, I think he's
really keen. And he has done over the last you know,

(12:09):
four or five years in helping particularly the young guys
to struggle with form and you know, getting their own
routine and figuring out what's really important for them, which
is what Traub's done in more recent times. That really
motivates Trav and I think he's pretty keen to get
into that space.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
And before I let you go, have you got a
favorite Travis Boke memory? I don't really know him, so
favorite memory for me might be when he kicked that
barrel in the first game at Port Adelaide played Adelaide
Ole against Melbourne so many years ago, and I was
on the hill and I was like, oh god, he's
just roosted a seventy five meters after the siren.

Speaker 13 (12:44):
Have you got anything that was pretty special? I just remember,
I think, you know, twenty thirteen, when at the end
of twenty twelve, we were struggling a lot as of
footy club and there was obviously that tragedy that happened
over in Las Vegas with Johnny McCarthy. I remember trav
being he was only a twenty two twenty three year

(13:06):
old guy had that point in time, but he grew
into a fully grown man at that point in time
and really just guided us through that incredibly difficult situation
as only a sort of a twenty two to twenty
three year old. So that was something that sticks out
quite vividly for me. But then just that whole sort

(13:26):
of two or three years after that, coming into such
a young captain for us and playing some extraordinarily good football.
Whenever we were down, he would just get us up
on his shoulders and motivate us and lead us, and
we pulled off some incredible victories over those couple of years.
And I think that was That's a point in time

(13:48):
where I just look at Travor and just idolized everything
he did at that at that stage in his life
for such a young guy.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
Thank you, Hamis, thank you for paying tribute to our man.
Again not dead, just retiring, but it feels like people.
It does feel like that. Go and give him a
hug today at the club for us, all right, please.

Speaker 13 (14:06):
Because yep, absolutely.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
No drum turned into a bit of a Travis bok
love in this morning. This isn't what we intended, but
we're getting an outpouring of emotion on the Bye Bye
Bokey Hotline thirty one oh two three, give us a
ring your favorite Travis boke memories as he rides off
into the retirement sunset.

Speaker 4 (14:20):
Oh, speaking of that, Natalie's got a beautiful vision in
her head, don't you, Natalie?

Speaker 9 (14:25):
I do.

Speaker 5 (14:25):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
What do you think of when you think of Bogy?

Speaker 6 (14:29):
He's my fantasy husband.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
Okay, what would it be like married to Travis Bog
What do you think he'd do in the morning?

Speaker 14 (14:36):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (14:37):
I think he'd make your breakfast every morning, bring you
a cup of tea or coffee, whatever you felt like,
whatever you asked for he would do. He's just the
kind of sweetest man. My husband jokes around that if
I ever left him, it'd be for Travis.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
He walked around the house in his undies too. I reckon, Travis.

Speaker 6 (14:55):
Oh, absolutely, you have to do with a body like that.

Speaker 4 (14:57):
Yeah, you just stand there with a hand on the hip,
just like having his coffee in the morning.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
Yeah. Absolutely, two eggs to you this morning, Natalie Love.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Yeah, Yeah, there's no dirt on this man.

Speaker 10 (15:09):
Why is he so perpy?

Speaker 2 (15:11):
No, he's just too good, weaky clean. Oh thank you, Natalie.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
That's the memory that I think a lot of women
and men are going to take away from Travis Bog.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
Yeah, he's a good look.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
This is amazing this morning.

Speaker 4 (15:23):
I can't believe we've had grown men cry, We've had
all these people calling up. Is that a Manja Rellies
calling in in a second?

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Yeah, let's speak to Rosie next thirty one O two three.
It is the Bye Bye Bokey Hotline. Any memories, good, bad,
or otherwise Travis Bog, Let's do it.

Speaker 10 (15:36):
Yeah, and we're also changing the entire playlist.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
I mean we had an access before day again a
reminder not dead, just his career is over.

Speaker 10 (15:45):
Two point three with Bye Bye Boky, as all of
Adelaide says goodbye to a legend, Travis Bog retiring.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Still very much alive. I'm still alive, but healthier lives
really healthy.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
Only thirty seven.

Speaker 10 (15:56):
We are celebrating him today the Bye Bye Bokey Hotline
is open thirteen one oh two three. You're welcome to
call and join any time.

Speaker 3 (16:02):
Let's start with Emily and Port Wlaalanga. Feeling a little
bit emotional this morning.

Speaker 15 (16:06):
M a very emotional to be honest with you, I
personally think there needs to be a standing ovation for
Travis Boke on his last game ten minute mark. I
think everybody in the crowd, regardless who you are, needs
to applaud him and give him the recognition that he
truly deserves.

Speaker 6 (16:25):
I think.

Speaker 15 (16:27):
As a man, but as a footballer, the selfless sacrifices
that he's made, not only to boys and girls across
our state, across other football clubs. He's just shown up
and he's just been him.

Speaker 14 (16:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 15 (16:42):
Yeah, but he hangs up his boots and you know,
he said yesterday in his press conference that he didn't
want it to be about him, but if there's any
footballer in the league, he needs the limelight.

Speaker 6 (16:56):
He oh, he tucks.

Speaker 15 (17:00):
You know, he's tucked Sammy foul Pepper, you know, Butter's rosy.
He's tucked him under his wing and he never had
to because he obviously hasn't had a dad figure. But
he has shown up and he's shown up with so
much love and.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
For everyone out there going this is a footballer we're
talking about. Why do people care so much? Well, one
they love him as a football but two he's a
genuinely good dude. He has given so much time to childhood.
Cancer is a big one for Travis. He volunteers all
the time everywhere. It's one of the actual good people, a.

Speaker 4 (17:30):
Good human first, a footy player second. Yeah, yeah, thank
you Emily that we're wanna be a big hug today.
Someone else that we want to hug is another fan.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
Yeah, foky.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
One of my favorite moments from Travis Boke actually comes
from TV. A sports presenter who no longer has a
job once accidentally called him Travis Bike and we joke
about it all the time. Travis Bike, No, sorry, Travis
Boke Bike. Yeah, just misread the autoque. So we're going
to go someone who reads an auto qu all the time.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Big port person. Rosanna Man's a really good morning Rosie.

Speaker 16 (18:02):
Good morning guys. I don't think I've ever called him
Travis Bike.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
Not you.

Speaker 3 (18:05):
I heard that one before.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
I'll tell you about that one at another time.

Speaker 6 (18:10):
I like to know more.

Speaker 16 (18:11):
We all slip up.

Speaker 6 (18:12):
I know that much.

Speaker 16 (18:13):
But someone who's never slipped up is Travis Boke. Seriously,
I think all your listeners are nailing it in saying
that he's just an exemplary player and an absolute role model,
Like he really has been a good person on the
field and off it as well. Just a terrific player
to watch. For me, it's like he's been there the

(18:34):
whole time I've had kids. So my children every match
they've watched has had Travis Boke in it. And to
see him go and although we knew it was coming,
and of course you know he's getting up there in age,
but you know, for the announcement to come through yesterday
was Yeah, it's a little bit sad, isn't it.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Oh so sad? Rosie. What memory?

Speaker 1 (18:57):
What memories of you got of Travis? They can be
football memories, they can be bicep memories, whatever you want.

Speaker 16 (19:03):
Oh it's funny. Look, he's an absolute adonics of a
man and really handsome. But I've never funny enough looked
at him like that. For me, one of the memories
is I was honored and privileged to present his John
Cale Medal in twenty nineteen. Back in October at the
Best of Fist Awards. That was a cool moment for me.

(19:27):
In fact, I just went through my photo real and
saw one of the piggies that me and him, and
so that was fantastic. You know, he's a decorated player
and you know, there'll be so many memories there, just
those moments where he pulled matches together for us and
really stepped up, you know, and was this terrific leader
and captain and showed us some great things on the

(19:51):
field and off as well as you say with his
charity work.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
Oh, he's such a good father figure to everybody Nowelada,
isn't he Everyone looks up to him, we do.

Speaker 16 (20:00):
Yeah, great role model, great role model.

Speaker 8 (20:02):
Absolutely.

Speaker 16 (20:03):
It's going to be a sad a sad match, his
last match. I'm so glad. I'm hopefully he's playing in
I think it's around twenty three. We're off to Melbourne
to watch Port and Carlton, so hopefully we can catch
that one and then his final match.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
So we'll be there, will be there standing in.

Speaker 10 (20:22):
Will mixed one and two point three Haley Max in
the morning, normally doing the money minute for ten thousand
dollars right now, but we are going to pause that
for just one second.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
There are certain circumstances and certain calls you have to
pause regular programming for. And when the Premier calls to
talk about a football player, that's one of those circumstances.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
We will play the Money minute in one second.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
It's going to happen, But first, Peter mallon Oski, everyone
please be outstanding. Peter malon Owskers, thank you for your time.

Speaker 14 (20:49):
Well, the only person we should be tipping our hat
to this morning is who's Bokey? I mean, three hundred
and eighty four games. It's a pretty amazing record, and
I heard you having a chat about it before. Can't
help but pay tribute to I mean, even if you're
a Croch fan, you've got to got to acknowledge how
this level of longevity he only comes with extraordinary resilience

(21:11):
and he is a star and it'll be hard to
replicate him.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
Yeah, Mally, do you think that maybe we should have
like a public holiday for.

Speaker 3 (21:22):
Yeah, we should all have that off.

Speaker 14 (21:26):
Yeah, look, you're clutching it. You're clutching at my heart here.
I no, look, look, but I don't know how you
recognize someone whose contribution has been as steadfast as this
has just been so consistent for such a long period
of time, Like in a cutthroat industry, like players come

(21:48):
and go, coaches get you know, come and go pretty quickly.
But between him and Ken, they've stood the test of time.
And I've got nothing but regard to that.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
Pete, you are a big port man. I know you
like to go along to the games when you can.
Do you have any memories of Travis that really stand
out on the field.

Speaker 14 (22:07):
There's a few showdowns there where he really came to
the fore, particularly sort of in the first part of
Ken's journey, like and there's too many occasions to think
of where he's just provided that steadying hand when like
you know, the opposition in April, foot of the opposition
is always going to get a run on at some
point another. And here's the book, here's the bloke that

(22:28):
you want the ball in the hands of just to
calm things down and bring back the tempo of the
game on your terms, and like that. There are candless
of occasions where we're where we've seen that, but particularly
couple of those showdowns where he won the showdown Metal
between him and Robbie Gray, there are occasions they want
it on their own and their irresistible memories, but unfortunately

(22:51):
at the moment they're just there only memories.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
Yeah, got that flag in the last year would have
been good for him.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
Look, we all wanted it, but not to be Peter
Mallanow's guess you've called through you love Travis Bok.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
Have you ever had like a beer with him? Just
the two of you?

Speaker 1 (23:08):
Are you?

Speaker 14 (23:09):
I've met Boky a couple of times, but I don't
think I've had a chance to have a frothy with
him as a professional, and I don't.

Speaker 8 (23:17):
I can't.

Speaker 14 (23:17):
I can't profess to have had that, but I've certainly
sort of know how well regarded he is with everyone
that you know engages him, particularly as a leader on
field and off field. I mean, longest seven captain of
the club. You know, on all accounts, people thought he
was out of here. I remember when that was happening,
because if we lost Bothy at that particular point in time,
I've felt like hope might have been lost. And instead

(23:39):
he stayed true at one could player and I don't.
I don't think we see enough of that in the
AFL these days.

Speaker 1 (23:44):
No exactly, bad luck along, he's our man and he
would have won a lot of flags that Geelong.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
But that's okay because before we let you go, Premier,
do you have Travis Boke's number and did you message him?
And has he replied to you? Because I've messaged him
and he hasn't replied to me.

Speaker 14 (24:01):
Well, now that I know that, Max, I'll definitely fire
off a text, but I'll let you know.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
Let's see WHOI.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
I don't think I'm on quite the same level as
the Premier, but I just think it would be interested
to know if he fired.

Speaker 16 (24:14):
I'll keep you in the loop.

Speaker 8 (24:15):
I'll keep you in the loop, all.

Speaker 3 (24:17):
Right, Malanowskas, thank you for calling for you. We know
you're biggest port fan and we love you.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
No worries.

Speaker 8 (24:22):
Thanks guys, appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
Yous all right,
