Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Okay, have we got some questions that have been burning
around in everyone's brains over the weekend after we got
to meet your ex on Friday, Vanessa, she seems nice.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
She's lovely, isn't she.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Yeah, she's really really nice. And she's said the same
thing about you, and I guess that's a big tick
in your box in that you guys are friends, right, absolutely? Okay?
Are you friends with all of your exes?

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Not all of them? No, just the nice ones.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
That's fair, that's absolutely fair.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Okay. Well she had this to say, mystery man.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Look, we're just not compatible. He just doesn't want to
get married.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Oh oh, we hadn't heard.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
This, okay, right, okay, well, yes, that is that is correct.
I did not want to get married.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Now, okay, so will immediately open up the phones and
took phones, and there were ladies going no, no, no,
maybe just she just wasn't the right one and and
he will. So is it marriage to her that you
didn't want to go through with or is it the
whole idea of marriage? You don't believe it.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
It's the latter. It's the whole idea of marriage. I
think it's an antiquated notion, and it denotes like ownership.
Like back in the day when property would be transferred
from one party to another, the name of it would change,
and marriage is the same. Right a woman changes her life,

(01:29):
well not always, but you know the idea of a
woman changing her last name when she get married. When
she got married was like, okay, he's your property now,
so yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
It's very progressive. Would you do you think that you
would ever change that if you met someone you fell
so deeply in love with them and you were just like,
this is what they want, I'm fine with it. Whatever.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Would I want to blow one hundred thousand dollars on
a Hallmark card and let me think about that.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
It doesn't be like that, though, mystery man, like I'm
hearing you like this would not be a deal breaker
for me. In fact, I'm starting to get worried about
how aligned you and I seem to be on a
few kids. But this wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.
But when my husband and I eventually did get married,
we already had two babies, but it was just more

(02:19):
not about anything to do with that ownership, so much
so that even though I go by his name, I
haven't got around to do the paperwork, so legally I'm
still my maiden name. But it was just more about
standing up and just having a bit of a yeah,
we're together, this is our love and we love our
little family unit. That was kind of Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
I believe you can show that every day to the
people who are your friends and your family by showing
them when you're with your partner how much you love
and respect your partner and the things that you do
for your partner. It doesn't need to be one big
showy day where you know, these are the weddings that

(02:59):
I've experienced, right, Like, just people try to outdo each other.
Some person has a dessert station, someone brings a frickin
mister Whippy cart. The next person flies in a chef
from you know, some stupid show that you know, assualted
beef and a certain like all of these stupid things
that people try to outdo when another to put on
their Instagram weddings.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
All right, well, number one, go to different weddings because
I think it can be done differently. But number two,
number two, what though, if you met the woman of
your dreams and maybe culturally from her side of things,
there was a pressure or pressure from her family, and
she really wanted to do that. Could you not bring
yourself to meet her halfway? And to understand that.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Look, if I was in love with this person and
it was a deal breaker for this person because their
family was super traditional, and there's a highlight we shoid,
I wouldn't be hanging around if they were that super
traditional in the first place. But let's say this person
is a and I swallow my pride, I would possibly,

(04:07):
on the really slightest, most like maybe one percent chance,
consider a wedding.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
We'll take it, and.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
It would it would be like it would be like
a ceremony outside somewhere in a garden and then lunch
with a small group of people.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
That's what That's what we got married at home. It
can be done. It absolutely can be done.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Misteryes, Okay, well, then yes, I would consider that on
the right.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
Okay, it's just a one percent chance of marriage, but
it's not a zero percent chance, all right. We're learning
a little bit.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Would never be a zero percent chance of anything.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
That's exactly right. We are learning a lot about you,
mystery man, and I feel like we've known you long
enough now that we can probably handshake and get to
know your name, which is usually a pretty important part
of meeting someone. Sure, could you maybe tell us if
your name Mystery.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
You can call me Drake like the male duck.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
Ducks and Drake's not you're Drake. I mean, what do
you an issue with Drake?

Speaker 2 (05:19):
I don't know, because I think enough about the rapper
person I feel that there could be issues there.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
I don't like the rapper at all.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Ah, do you align more with the rappers value or
the supermarket Chaine?

Speaker 1 (05:32):
I align more with the male duck called a Drake?

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Yeh, I know, I know?

Speaker 3 (05:40):
Okay, Drake.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Do you, mystery woman, take Drake as your lawful I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
I don't know what's happening, as you're lawfully weathered duck.
That's what I'm saying, very very slight chance of tying
to not all the moose I like to call it.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
If you're still with us and Drake's something you have
an opinion on th A one O two three, give
us a ring.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
Mystery Man. That's fine. We will call you by the
name Drake from here on in, and in the meantime.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
A rose by any other name would still smell us sweet,
all right?

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Mate, al right, turn the charm off.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
We're both married, all right, buddy, Thank you very very much,
and right now we're opening the phones on thirteen one
O two three. You heard from him number one. He
goes by the name Drake. Number two there is well
you know that he just doesn't believe in marriage and
finds it an antiquated Well, yeah, so give us a

(06:42):
call thirteen one O two three mystery man or sorry,
no Drake. Thank you very much for your time this morning.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
No worries.
