Speaker 1 (00:00):
H heard.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
Shoal Haven, the Narrow show Ground is extremely active and
I've earned a couple of ghosts to us through there
because of how active it is. And it really doesn't
matter what time of the day it is, what day
of the year it is, it is always active. If
you look into the history of it, there has been
quite a few fatalities over its time, which has resulted
(00:22):
in those spiritual attachments.
Speaker 1 (00:24):
Good ay, I'm Pete Andrea, and in this episode we're
venturing to the other side of the Shoal Haven. And
by the other side we mean the places around town
where you might get that feeling of something that's existed
beyond this world. The shan Haven has a long history
of unexplained phenomena and is a draw card for those
who might research the paranormal. But our guest today is
(00:46):
no stranger, you might say to those who might inhabit
the so called afterworld. Tamara Watson is a clear voyant,
a medium and parapsychologist living in the Shoal Haven, and
she realized at a young age she sends things differently
to others that sixth sense one might have for tomorrow.
It's opened the doors of communication with the other side
(01:08):
and provided a level of comfort when she said she
was contacted by her son. It passed away just months before,
but more on that later. Thirty nine year old Tomorrow
now runs South Coast ghost tours, giving those game enough
a guided experience through Nara's dark history and hauntings. Well,
I'm sitting at the moment in the old Naura's cemetery,
(01:31):
and with me I have Tomorra, who's no stranger to
cemeteries and scary places around the scharal Haven.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
We're actually very alive.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Welcome to iheartshal Haven Tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Thank you, I appreciate it. Thanks for having me on. Pete.
Tell me what do you do? Okay? So I investigate
supernatural phenomenon and I work as a medium and a
psychic explore the unseen. I guess.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
So you've got some special abilities.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
I do. So, I actually come from a family of mediums,
and I can't claim that it's just naturally all born ability.
Heavily involved in the Spiritualist church, so there's been mentors
and all that helping me along the way. But as
a child I always experienced things differently to other kids
and other members of my family who didn't have such
(02:26):
strong abilities, and I'd see things and I'd hear things
that other people didn't, which kind of convinced me that
I was crazy for a long time up until an adult.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
So did you have to say to your family, look,
I think I'm going a little Nazi.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Look my mum actually noticed certain things. You know, I
would just get this overwhelming fear about something that was there,
and she could feel something but not see it, and
you know, she did suggest it was a spiritual thing.
But as adolescens came, it became really overwhelming and it
was it was causing me a lot of anxiety, and
(03:04):
I was really struggling to study and focus on things.
I went to a psychologist. It wasn't until I became
an adult that I started to study psychology, which opened
the door to parapsychology. And I just accepted I am
what I am.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
And so from that, when did you start exploring these
haunted places?
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Well, my bravery came with acceptance, I guess. So in
my twenties I started to get brave and the places
that I was scared of in the past when I
was younger, I ventured back there to figure out what
was going on. To actively pursue spirits and find out
why they're there and you know, what's keeping them there
(03:52):
and all of that, and yeah, since then, it's one
of my favorite things to do.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Now. The shoal Haven has a long history. Are there
many haunted or spiritually active places across the shoal Haven? Oh? There.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
There isn't a lot of public places too that you know,
we might go to all the time, but unless it's
the right conditions, we might not experience something. Residual energy
is a big thing too in euro because it is
such an old place, there is a lot of leftover
energy from the past that if you are a spiritually
sensitive person, you can actually regress what's happened in the
(04:35):
past in visual form in your mind's eye.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Yeah, there's a lot of history in some of our
smaller villages, and we've got light houses and all those
traditionally spooky places. But do you find that you discover
presences in areas that you wouldn't expect.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Definitely. Actually, there is a little park in the CBD
of nar Rutch Park and doesn't look like someway that
would have a ghost hanging around or anything like that,
but if you go in at night. The atmosphere is
completely different at night than it is the day. Everything
comes out at night, and I've sent a couple of
other people in there too, and they're kind of that park. No,
(05:19):
there's nothing in that. They go there at night and
they come back and go, whoa. Well, but I just
discovered that by chance, just sitting in there one day
having a coffee and someone popped up and wanted to chat.
So yeah, there's a lot of places like that around.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Are there places in the shoal Haven that are really
really active?
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Are there places here that you don't like to go?
Speaker 2 (05:46):
Oh okay, well look the shell Haven, the Narrow Showground
is extremely active and I've randed a couple of ghosts
toos through there because of how active it is. Really
doesn't matter what time of the day it is, what
day of the year it is, it is always active.
If you look into the history of it, there has
(06:07):
been quite a few fatalities over its time, which has
resulted in those spiritual attachments in saying that they're not
bound there. So one of those particular spirits I've actually
spoken to in this cemetery where he's buried as well.
But the accident that ended his life occurred at the showground,
(06:28):
so he pops up there as well. But places that
I don't like to go. I'm not a huge fan
of Cape Saint George Lighthouse in saying that I am
going there for an investigation tomorrow night, so you know
I won't stay away completely, but it's definitely not one
of my favorite places to be. There's a lot of
(06:48):
heavy negative energy out there.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
You're listening to iheartshal Haven and our chat with Tomorrow
Watson from South Coast Ghost Tours. More soon on Tomorrow's
roadmap to some of the Shoalhaven's spookiest locations and the
detection tools. She never leaves home without.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
I Heart shol Haven. I Heart shol Haven.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
You tend to find when it comes to the question
of do ghosts exist, there are definite believers and non believers.
Paranormal researcher Tomorrow Watson never gets tired of seeing someone's
reaction when she tells them she's a ghost chaser. For her,
it's very much a calling in life. Tomorra's ghost tours
take you to what she calls the most spiritually active
(07:35):
sights in the Shoalhaven, and like any profession. Tomarra uses
certain tools or devices to get the job done, but
it isn't like ghostbasters. For the most part, Tomorrow leans
into her abilities as a medium to connect with energy
on the other side, and never more so than a
recent occasion when she was at home and felt the
(07:56):
presence of her son, who died from cancer just months before.
You mentioned you take ghost tours. What can people expect?
Will they see spiritual, will they hear? Or sometimes do
they miss out? Oh?
Speaker 2 (08:11):
Look, some people do miss out. It all comes down
to how spiritually open you are. And it does sound
a bit of a cop out, you know, I'm not
saying if they come and they don't experience anything, it's
all on them. But the more open you are, the
more you go into experience. And every tour that I've done,
someone in the group has seen something, or they've heard something,
(08:32):
or they've taken a photo when something's shown up, but
it's not everyone in the group, So you know, occasionally
someone will walk away really disgruntled that, oh I didn't
see a ghost. You know, I didn't see anything. I
didn't experience anything, and that's unfortunate when that happens. But
I can't tell a spirit. Hey, you have to have
to present right now, show yourself to them. I do
(08:54):
believe that they like the living you resonate with. Some
some people you don't resonate with. We wouldn't have been
friends if you were alive. That's okay. You know they're
not all going to like us, but yeah, it happens.
It happens.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
You've got some tools of the trade. You've got some
with you. What do you have a new hand there?
Speaker 2 (09:17):
Okay, So this is an electromagnetic frequency reader. So what
it does is it detects any drastic changes in the
electromagnetic field. These aren't my favorite to use because we
live in a very modern world with Wi Fi and
all of that. That's all electromagnetic frequency which can set
these off. Our phones can set them off. But the
(09:38):
idea is spirit is electromagnetic energy and will set these
guys off. Not all spirits have enough electromagnetic energy to
activate this machine. So I, personally, I don't believe this
machine is a detector of sorts. I think it can
alert us to fluctuations in electro mamagics netting frequencies more
(10:02):
than anything.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
What else have you got in that dag of tricks there.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
All right. So we've got the Spirit Boks, which essentially
is a radio and it automatically scans through all of
the channels and allows Spirit to use what's being broadcast
to communicate. They also use the white noise to put
their voice across through the white noise as well, so
if they're scanning, they're scanning and they can't find the
right thing that they want to say, they can actually
(10:29):
use their own voice to communicate through the white noise.
Usually you won't hear it unless you've got the earphones on.
It's a playback thing. With the majority of investigators, you
really don't hear it unless you play it back later
with the headphones on. But we use these for some
fun experiments as well, where we put the headphones on
and another person will be asking the questions which we
(10:50):
can't hear, and then we say what we're hearing through this,
And that's actually a really good experiment to do. Is
that your go to yes and no. All of these
gadgets I can do myself, my third eye does. I
am not a big fan of the gadgets, but obviously
I use them because they do enhance the investigation and
(11:10):
people love them. Obviously I can't do ghost too. Isn't
just use psychic sense alone. But yeah, the ghost box
is definitely the most impressive out of the equipment. I
personally believe.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
Have you got home and had a listen back and
thought to yourself, wow, yes.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
Yes, I have. Actually quite recently I used this at home.
So I turned it on at home and my son,
who passed away three months ago, came through with his
own voice through the white noise, and Yeah, it was
actually a mind blowing experience for me to hear his
voice because it is someone I know very well.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Yeah, wow, and I can see you very emotional talking
about that, as you would be, but was reassuring as well.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
It definitely was. It definitely was. And he did let
me know that he was there with his uncle. That
was nice. That was actually really nice. And I was
aware that he was there with you know, he is
where his uncle is. But it was nice to actually
hear him say that in his own words, very comforting.
I had an experience at home last week where you know,
I felt a little bit sad and was standing in
(12:17):
the doorway of his room. The light was on and
as I said in my head, you know, oh, why
can't you be here? I really miss you. His bedroom
light turned off, turned back on, and then the fridge
made this noise that I've never heard make, and it
was a constant noise. So I walked out into the kitchen,
standing there staring at the bridge, and I heard his
voice as clear as anything, not with any gadgets. I
(12:40):
heard him say I love you, mum, and then the
noise stopped and it was all over, and just that
sense of peace that I got was just absolutely beautiful.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
On the other hand, though, when you've taken some people
out on tours, have you encountered some scenarios with their
runaway line scared stiff?
Speaker 2 (13:01):
Yes, actually, and I have. I have ran away at
one point as well. So the Catholic Cemetery in Town,
a head popped out from behind one of the headstones,
and I was crouched down and just not expecting it,
and I fell backwards and then got up and just
was like nope, nope, nope, Yeah, I wasn't expecting it
(13:22):
at all. Usually with spirit they kind of announced it
like hey tomorrow, I'm ready to talk, not kind of
just jump out and go hey like this. So yeah,
that was a bit that was a bit for long
and one of the women who was actually right next
to me, he saw it as well. Yeah, we both
we're done. We're done. Nope, we don't want surprises.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
So if someone was interested in experiencing the supernatural, they
can get in contact you with you far safe with
someone experienced, Yes, yes.
Speaker 2 (13:53):
Look, safety is a big thing with the paranormal. Safety
first always, you've got to be You can't just go
in throw caution to the wind, because spiritual matters are big,
they're very big, and when we're spiritually attacked so astral attack,
that actually impacts our mental health as well and our
(14:15):
physical health. So yeah, you've got to be protected.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
The shoal Havens Tamara Watson a paranormal investigator who believes
all people have some psychic ability that can be developed.
It's often described as a gut feeling or even your intuition. Yes,
there's no scientific evidence to confirm the existence of ghosts,
but the human race has and always will continue to
(14:41):
pursue a fascination of whether there really is life beyond
this mortal world. That's I heart shal Haven for this
week proudly supported by the New South Wales Government, I'm
Pete Andrea catching next time.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
I heart shall Haven
