Speaker 1 (00:00):
New Jersey and Amanda Jamni.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
It's round three or thirteen, I should say of the NRL.
Last week's mystery footy tip was Morgan Turanui. You were
a score of five out of eight.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
No morg storer it did, but the top scorer is
Wally Lewis.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
The kicks out of eight naturally, I'm kind of a
big deal, said Dave. Well, we've got our very own king.
I would like to say.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
They are the State of Origin Blues superstar. They played
a total of two hundred and thirty four games with
the Tigers. They had scored thirty six triers, kicked four
goals and made thirty three.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
Field goals, accumulating one hundred and eighty one points during
their club career. In nineteen eighty eight, he won the
Rugby League Week Player League Week Player.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Of the Year award. You know how I'm talking about
he cut walk the streets. It's Betty Elias Elias.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
Elias, Benny Elias has to be the most underrated hooker
in the last forty years.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
This is a blood that could do anythings. The field
goal had plenty of time. He's Tiger the deadline.

Speaker 5 (01:00):
What's this time? As little Benny Alive fin itself a
lot more than I Can't you.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
Look Out Alive.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
He's the best film iind player ever to play for
the Target since I started n another night.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Goodness me, Hello, hey Benny there, good morning.

Speaker 5 (01:20):
How are you guys. That's a wonderful introduction. Thank you
very much, very kind you guys. Oh no, thank you, Jogy,
You're o good man. Mate. I'm a big fan of
your radio program. It's a pleasure to be on with
both of you this morning.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Oh how very polished. We've never had a footy tip.
Who's so erudite?

Speaker 5 (01:38):
Ah? There you go, well mate, I love I love
that music that you play. God bless you and all
that entertainment you guys give. It's very very very warm
and welcoming to start the day.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
That's a glowing review. State of origin. Betty, what are
your thoughts?

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Can we do it?

Speaker 5 (01:53):
Oh no, we can do it mate. I've been very
very close with the coach in Michael McGuire, and he's
been very very I think he's picked a very good
side side that's in form which are you know recently
in the last past few years he's just gone with
the tried and true and the name sakes, because he's
he's certainly put a lot of time into it and

(02:13):
the enthursiasm. I went to the Blue Ball there a
couple of nights ago. I met with all the young
players and my god, they're they're just an absolute credit
to the game of rugby league. And they've just been
just so well polished and so excited about this first
encounter next Wednesday night at a Core Stadium here in
our backyard.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
So I'm guessing you're tipping the Blues.

Speaker 5 (02:34):
He's going, of course, Amanda, Amanda, that is it's a
given conclusion of I'm actually picking them for three zip
this year. That's how much to get. Obviously we've only won,
We've only won one in the last three years. And
I just think there's a new feel about it, the tides,
about the turn. I've got total confidence in our leader,

(02:59):
Jake Tavoivich, who's just a wonderful young man, and there's
just everything I like about this new Southwest Side and
watch out Queensland. That's exactly all we can say to
I'm not going to assure you.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
All Right, Well, let's see what we've got this weekend. Tonight.
Eels versus Sharks.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
All the rays of Moses and Gupherson coming back. You know,
I've both been injured for a very long time, and unusual,
they're the favorites for tonight's game, and I'm going for
PARAMOUNTERA obviously. It's I just think the welcome back of
Gupherson and Moses makes a big difference to the paramount
side and they'll just be too strong.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Okay, Nights and the Bulldogs on Friday Night, Benny.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
Yeah, now I like the Bulldogs again. You know, it's
state of origin calls and key players are missing, but
the Bulldogs I think have just they just seem to
have their act together right this year. They've improved, probably
the greatest site of improvem for twenty twenty four. I'm
going the Doggies, all.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Right, and then Saturday we've got Panthers and Dragons.

Speaker 5 (04:00):
Yeah, how can you go past the Pants They just
have so much depth in their club, and even with
their players who are injured and also state of origin duties.
I can't go past the Panthers. I like. I just
like them too much, too much depth.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
They played for last week Dolphins versus the Raiders.

Speaker 5 (04:17):
Yeah, well, make all the rages the Dolphins. I mean,
who would have thought they've been so dominant in this
Premiership this year. They've just continued to surprise week in
week out, and I can't see any different this weekend.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
I'm going to Dolphins, all right, and then to round
us out on Sunday Roosters and the Cowboys.

Speaker 5 (04:34):
Yeah, well over in the Eastern Suburbs now, so I've
got to go for the Roosters. Cowboys are probably better
on paper, but the Roosters with all their commitments with
state of origin players being left out this weekend will
make a big difference to them. But I think they'll
just get the Cowboys.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Well, that's great to have you on the show. Go
to the Blues on Wednesday and night.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
Look, let me tell you what. There are tickets still
available for next Wednesday night. We really need every single
New South Wales supported it to get us home and
we look forward to it and I know that they'll
get behind New South Wales. It's certainly it's if you've
never done it, if you've never been in a state
of origin game, it's one of those bucket listings you've
got to do. Garrett eight Core Stadium, eighty five thousand people.

(05:17):
Next week, the atmosphere will be electric and I can't
wait for the Blues just to give these queens round.
There's plenty of curry.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
If you do want tickets, you can head to NRL
dot com slash tickets and also we have four tickets to.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Give away away as well.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Absolutely so keep listening to you, Benny.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
That would be I want to go all to you
the best pretty life row of seats.

Speaker 5 (05:41):
Well, I could certainly do with four tickets. I've got
people always ringing me up asking can we get some tickets.
I just think they just drop out of the sky.
It's sort of. They'll be very very well sought after tickets.
But to yourself a favor. If you haven't seen the
State of Origin game, go out and see it in
an experience. Used to the wonderful atmosphere out there, it

(06:02):
will be wonderful.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Thanks for coming, love you by thanks my man been
