is our twentieth year extraordinary and here you why are you?
Became a grandpa in holidays, your daughter Romany got engaged.
Morgan and Zoe had a little baby boy. You know,
we've been here for so long together. When we first started,
my kids were preschoolers, were to both and now then

now this year they'll be twenty four and twenty two.
Remember the first day on at school for both of them,
we did this radio show from my house.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
I cooked them some eggs, that's right, so I could.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Take them to scool. Remember Liam at the top of
the stairs in his school uniform was like watching the
bride come down the stairs. Well, I made him wear
that veil. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
I remember Liam potty training, I know, I do. I
remember that's all right. For some reason he set it up.
He won't mind me telling this story now. He set
it up on top of a bean bag.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
No two bean baked two cushions and wondered why hell happened?
You know when we.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
First that was extreme, when we extreme toilet.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
When we started this show. John Howard was our prime minister.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Was when he came in, we spoke.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Yeah, I mean it's extraordinary. This sounds like we're post war.
We might as well have been around when menses were there.
So there was John Howard yep, Kevin Rudd yep, Julia
Gillard right.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Tony Abbott, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Malcolm Turnbull of course, Scott Morrison and Anthony Albani prime ministers.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
We've spoken to.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
Who do you reckon was the most because they all
change a bit of You notice that before they're prime minister,
they're normal. Then they become prime minister and they're not normal.
I said for Tony Abbott, he was weird before and.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
After he came in with onion on his breath.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Which one do you reckon was? Because like we always
had good chats with them all.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Well, that's we've had good relationships with all of them,
but that's how long we have been on air. I've
had two hip replacements, you have to Yeah, I had
one at forty one at forty one, just a couple
of years ago.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
We've had a few motorcycle accidents in that time.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
That's true. We broke a world record, two world record,
two world record. One of the world records was the
one that I most thrilled that we did was doing
our radio show Underwater the Shark Tank at Sydney Aquarium.
The other one was breaking a young Chart eating record.

(02:20):
It was not like that gross eating stuff. How many
can your stuff in your mouth? We had to have
a certain number of people there. All they had to
do was eat two different kinds of Young Chart and
stay in a seat. And we had hundreds of people
there and almost didn't break the record because no one
followed orders.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Well three people couldn't eat, or you had to eat
with three dim sims.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Three dim sims, but stay seated in your chair, and
most people just didn't follow.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
People didn't understand the brief.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
And then everyone stole the decorations as they left. We've
had highs, we've had lows.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
It's great.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
I love doing this show. And this year we welcomed
Tom to the team. And Tom was down in the
car park getting some archival footage or audio from our show.
I did.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
I found a bunch of old tapes. I got one
from your first ever show in two thousand and.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Five, didn't we sound like in two thousand and five.
Let's hear leave and I shared a bed because we're
staying with our friends down there. And look sleeping with
a four year old. He snored most of the night.
He put his feet in my back. And sleeping with kids.
I don't know what Michael Jackson sees. And how have
we lasted this lot?

Speaker 2 (03:32):
And Michael was still a lot? I know you do
that material? Yeah, wow, how did we we started the year? Well? Yeah, yeah,
that was the start of the year. I got another
one from the end of the year. Okay, let's see
if we've improved.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Guess what I'm doing this afternoon.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
I'm going to ride on a camel.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Really, he is across the beach. That's what they have here.
And maybe they tow the camel behind a boat.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
That was in front of a live audience, a Great Keppel.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Island, moms and dads and Great Keppel Island. We've outlived
Great Keppel Island.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
That's dead now
