Speaker 1 (00:01):
And Amanda jam Nation.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
You just got to be careful when you get to
a roundabout. You gotta be careful when you pick up
small mouse, Supules.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
Oh yes, this has been such big news in Australia,
hasn't it. We've all been outraged. The woman's name is
Sam Jones. She describes herself as an outdoor enthusiast and hunter.
She claims to be a wildlife biologist, environmental scientist. That's
a lot of things on her LinkedIn profile right there.
But we've all seen the footage by now. She's a
wildlife influencer and this is her picking up a baby

(00:30):
wombat and carrying it, separating it from its Mum just
caught a baby wombat.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Look at the mother. It's like, oh I chased it
after Thank god the baby? Yes, Ale's not too much oxygen? Okay,
mama's right there, yes, all right? Oh god.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Well she then puts the baby back on the ground
and it reunites with its mother. The mother was chasing
her down the road. Who's this guy though, because she says, oh,
should I put it back? And he says no, no,
Well he's an Australian, you know he should know better.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Well, he's trying to tuna holding a tuna. He's trying to.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Have it off with her.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Yeah. So, and in Australia we're very lacase fair with
our wildlife.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Now what I do I think most Australia, then why
are we so outraged?

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Why are we so out American?

Speaker 1 (01:32):
She's picking it up. That's the interesting thing.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
And it's on the internet. Whenever you post anything with
animals or children, you put it on the internet there
as someone is going to complain. You look at poor
old Hemsey. Hemsey takes his little kids out and they're
all fishing, catching fish. I hope you're thrown catch and release.
I hope you're putting that fish back. Australians have been
fishing for a thousand million years.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Yeah, but we would you pick up a wombat and
separate it from its mas so, and of course not.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
I've run one over by accident and I felt terrible
about it. I built a little great.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
For stuff happens by act.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
I didn't film it like I wouldn't have filmed it.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
It's not just filming it. We would know not to
separate a baby wombat from its mother. That Australian guy
should have known better.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
But once again he's trying to tune us.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
So this has all been highly escalated by now as
you know, and Home Affairs Minister Tony Burker said, given
the level of scrutiny she's had, if she ever applies
for a visa again, I'd be surprised if she bothers,
but we will be reviewing her current visa etc. She
has issued a statement. She said the baby was carefully
held for one minute in total. The release back to mom,
they wandered back off into the bush together, completely unharmed.

(02:35):
I don't ever capture wildlife that will be harmed by
my doing so.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
She said.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Social media is getting too much right now, I might
take a small break. Love my fan. That guy was
trying to crack it's spade worker. I mean, what she
did was appalling, but I think you know, we don't
need to chase her out of the country. Do we
separator from a mother? We should actually get her to
wrestle a nest of funnel webs and say here's some
more you might enjoy.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
What about a blue rings? Don't just take the cute stuff,
put that in your bikini.
