Speaker 1 (00:01):
And Amanda gam.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Nation away from Debris on the m one. The election tomorrow.
We haven't even mentioned the conclave. It's happening now.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Yeah, we're going to talk to someone on the show
next week about what happens in the conclave. I think
they have a swimsuit section at talent section. But imagine, seriously,
the politics that's going on right now, vying to be
the new pope and everyone getting their ducks in a row.
That puts this election to shame. The amount of work
that will be going on behind closed door.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Gunder your head. Who's your favorite Pope?

Speaker 1 (00:29):
I always liked that time of history where Pope Carol,
Carol with the cave say.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Spell Maneli, John poltoo?

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Is that John Paul the Second? He when he was
Pope elect Wollenska was head of the Polish government and
they were taking on Russia and it just felt these
two good guys.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
And he looked very papal John.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Paul two, all of them people when you had the
outfit on, wouldn't you people?

Speaker 1 (00:56):
People who need people?

Speaker 2 (00:58):
They tried to shoot him John Port the Second, the
assassination at Paul Ringo.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Yeah, so they he survived that.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
He survived that. But when you think of you quintessential pape.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Is that your favorite as well?

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:11):
I think so.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
You know, that's when what was.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
The eighties, that's when we first became aware of popes
really in our lifetime.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Away from the conclave though there did you rise there's
a bunch of tailors over in Italy vying for the
pope's business. They make all those robes and stuff. So
you wonder who makes the rose?

Speaker 1 (01:26):
So is there one particular company, like the royal family
in England have one particular company they trust.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
There was one, but now there's two. Chris Reason had
this story on Channel seven News last night.

Speaker 4 (01:35):
How do they know what size the new pope will be?
They don't, so they hedge their bets with three options large, medium, small.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Or it's a bit more complicither than.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
That, whatever else the pope needs. These two have it covered. Hats, robes,
even new start the tussle of the tailor's it's almost
a metaphor for the conclave itself. Does the church stick
with tradition or try some thing new.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Try something new?

Speaker 2 (02:02):
And I've heard they're going to try something new with
these guys. Guys.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
I have everything like essentral polos and tease alas.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Do you think they'll go hive visual fleecy, You say
fleecy in Italian.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
That's part of the conclave. That's what they're trying to
work out.
