Jersey and amandam So.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Deborahlee Finess, two years after her split with Hugh Jackman,
has released a statement because they are finally filing for divorce.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
She has said this is in part. This is what
she has said.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who's traversed
the traumatic journey of betrayal. It's a profound wound that
cuts deep. However, I believe in a higher power, that
the God, the universe, whatever you relate to, is your guidance,
is always working for us. This belief has helped me
navigate the breakdown of an almost three decade marriage. People
have been wondering how deb has felt about all this,

(00:35):
because Hugh is mister nice guy has to continue being
missed nice guy.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
He's obviously in a new relationship. When did it begin?

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Was that the demise of his marriage to deb People
are saying that he if you're the perpetrator and you're
in h the position he is in, you would have
spin doctors, publicists, lawyers, accountants, everyone in place. Presumably, you'd
imagine before Debb even knew what was going on. So
he handles all of this completely on the front foot.

(01:05):
He dictates the timeline of how the story is told,
when he's first pictured with his new girlfriend, all of that,
whereas Deb has said she was the one pretty much
left blindsided. How do you feel about all of this?
Digital Jenna, our social dipstick? Has you put this up
on our socials yesterday? This commentary? Because some people have said, Deb,

(01:26):
it's two years, give it a rest, get on with
your life.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
You're getting the money. Who cares? But others aren't saying that.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Yeah, So I put up her quote onto our Facebook yesterday.
It got two point two thousand comments, and a lot
of people are in support of Deb, so a lot
express disappointment and sympathy, noting how sincerely he used to
speak about her and their children, which makes the betrayal
feel even worse. Others have acknowledged that relationships can end,

(01:55):
but criticized moving on before being honest, so praising Deb
for handling it with grace. Others saw it just as
a typical midlife crisis, and then a few pointed out
that there's always two sides to every story, So, yeah,
we don't really know the truth.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
No, we don't, and there's no guarantee.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
As I spoke about about my own wedding anniversary the
other day, whether it's sickness, in health, happiness, unhappiness. There's
no guarantee when you get married it's going to last
forever and what's going to be going on, But.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
This public betrayal that must be so hard to deal with.
I feel from them both because I like them both
nice people.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
And you're entitled to start again and move on. But
we were led to believe it was done with a
degree of honesty, and the way it's made here with
what deb saying, maybe that wasn't the case.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
It's a complicated sandwich.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
It is social dipstick. Jenna, thank you very much. Carry
on going back to your zooboos.
