Speaker 1 (00:01):
My Heart podcasts here, more Gold one on one point
seven podcasts.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Playlists and listen live on the Free iHeart app and
Amanda jam Nation.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
Well, have a listened to the musicality of this.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
I can't tell what's bad element and what's kazaband, none
of that.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
None of it's bad element. How brilliant is that? That
was what we thought was bad element?

Speaker 1 (00:26):
But we've discovered Jonesy had co worced four guys known
as the Gaza Band to re record your song, and
you pretended it was I'm.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Hardly going around in a van rounding them up and
putting them in there.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
I didn't co worse, We just we just started talking.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Sure, but you pretended it was you and it's just not.
But it's great to reveal the Gaza Band and they're
here with us now. Xavier Ken and Tobian Bead Hello, Hello,
So you guys. I know you've got to get back
to school.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
You're doing your HSC. Your musically just fabulous. How long
have you been together?

Speaker 4 (00:58):
Well? Yeah, formed in twenty twenty one, right after like
the COVID pandemic started easing, and then we've just been
sort of jamming ever since.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
But you've known each other for much longer.

Speaker 5 (01:08):
Yeah, yeah, primary school.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Oh and was it always your dream to be musicians?

Speaker 5 (01:14):
I've always loved music. I feel like we've all had
that little like passion for music.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
The bass player says that because he plays a five
string bass, and that's what attracted me to these guys.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
How did you find that?

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Was on my Instagram feed? It just popped up Gaza
Band and the song Drodi, which I love, and I
just thought, you know, because you know, I'm not a
rap and hip hop guy. I just like rock and
I've been waiting for the day when rock music comes back,
when Young the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse come back

(01:48):
with rock music. And also I just like the sense
of humor that goes with the Darodi song because it's
about the Daradi bike, the electric e BIKEEP that all
the kids seem to have these days down my way
and they've got the fat Boy bike and then they've
got those other ones that col Sandler's involved in what
he's ones called, He's got one, and there's all these
different bikes and the kids are riding around like I did.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Booms hate them.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Yeah, the booms hate them because we were kids we
didn't have any electric power yet to use your legs
the pedal around.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
You guys, Do you guys ride them?

Speaker 2 (02:20):
No?

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Do you hate them?

Speaker 4 (02:21):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (02:22):
Yeah, I hate the people on them.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
There seems to be.

Speaker 5 (02:24):
More on the road than cars nor.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
This is a different kettle of fish. I thought you
guys were being sort of semi ironic about them.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
We were being pretty ironic about them. Like it's definitely
a satirical song. I have no animosity towards your typical
ear bike rider. It's more aimed at the ones that
are being irresponsible on the bikes.

Speaker 5 (02:44):
Thirteen to sixteen.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
What's some of the other stuff that you write songs about?

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Um?

Speaker 5 (02:53):
What do we.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Are you allowed in? I'm looking at your ages. Only
one of your.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
Songs for Toby, Yeah, we've wrote written songs about Yeah.
The pub elon Musk delved into him a bit.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
But when it was that, when you liked him or didn't.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
Like him, we didn't. We like to say, we manifested
that break up.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
And so you guys are making a film clip for
Darodi this weekend, and I figured, because you know, you've
done so much for me by recording bad elements, no lies,
possibly you know I can help you out with the
film clip as far.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
As you're not going to go and write a de
rodi in the background.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
They don't want me, but you want Do you need
people for the location for the shoot? Ah?

Speaker 4 (03:39):
Yeah, well we've got we've got a crew coming down,
our crew of mates coming down. But yeah, more people
the better, honestly.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
And we'll put those locations up on our social medias
and you can look.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
Like the old fart who scowls and everyone.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Brendan well, speaking of you know, jonesy fifty seven got
in touch with you guys.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
Do you think you'll will be performing at fifty seven?

Speaker 5 (04:02):
Hopefully? Maybe see how we go.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
But that's what it all came about. When you guys
popped up in my Instagram feed. It got me mystery
misty ied about my own band, and then you know,
I would have dream I would have dreamed like we
we had such high hopes in those days to play
in a pub or you know, you couldn't have imagine getting.

Speaker 5 (04:23):
Played on the radio.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Yeah, but you guys are actually good as well, so
there is that.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
We couldn't imagine getting played on the radio until about
a month ago.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
Anyway, what's happening.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Yeah, you know this is a b that's a big deal.
And frozen pizza is not that bad.

Speaker 5 (04:38):
Boys, that's pretty good.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Can we hear a little bit more of Deroded?

Speaker 4 (04:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (04:43):
Come in.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
I mean.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
Boys, I appreciate everything you've done.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
More you'd be playing no Lies again at any stage.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
Yeah. We might have to put it onto our live set, okay,
one of our shows.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
Why do I feel like this is like when Ringo
Star presented a song to the rest of the bus.
We'll do something with that. I really appreciate it. Thank you, guys.
I'm looking for big things in the future for gazz
A bad.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Yeah, we actually have a gift for you guys.

Speaker 5 (05:22):
No way.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
We brought our c D by the Australian Government camera.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
What it's called. Yeah, do yourself of fame.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
I love it. Thank you guys

Speaker 5 (05:38):
