Speaker 1 (00:01):
And Amanda jam Nac.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
We straddle all the media's not just radio. We're on X,
We're on install, We're on TikTok.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
We're on we chat, We're on threads.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Of course we're on threads. Everyone's on threads. It's a
lot to be on drugs.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
Yes, definitely one of.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Us is on drugs. But it's a lot to keep
abreast of. And that's why we have our social media
dipstick Digital Jenna means Jenna and she loves cats, TikTok, Snapchat.
She's a social media girl. We like to call her
a social mediatick.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
By Jenna.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Hi were also on Blue Sky. Yeah, it's like an
X alternative Amanda Sky.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
So Jenna is the one who will see all your comments?
Who will She's the one who feeds our information out everywhere.
So she's the one who's got a finger on the
Jonesy and Amanda.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
How do we go with the camera that Amanda broke yesterday?

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Sorry about that.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
It still hasn't been repaired, so we'll have to work
on that.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
And how much are they worth?

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Oh thousands?

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Who knew that putting a camera in the corner of
the room could be hit by a Dart that I
wasn't even aiming for.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Okay, just say Kyle broke it.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
So yeah, the past week on social media as a whole,
it's been pretty crazy. So from Robert Redford's death to
the finale of the Summer I Turned Pretty, which is
a great show you should watch, right, but then also
Craig mcglachlin stepping down from his role in the upcoming
production of Cluto. It's been huge. So it's that last
topic that also blew up on our own social media.

(01:32):
The other day, we did a pub test on whether
you think Craig should return to the stage, where we
received close to five hundred thousand impressions and twenty thousand responses,
resulting in over eighty five percent thinking that he should
return to the stage.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
You know, it's hard about all that. We had a
really I felt a nuanced conversation around it about he
had been cleared in a court of law, he had
called a defamation case and then he gave his side
of his story, just as his the other witnesses, the
victims stood up to tell their story. He pulled the case.

(02:06):
They didn't get to tell their story, and they've been
vilified many times over the years. I felt very uncomfortable
actually even talking about it, because it's hard unless you're
a victim of this stuff, I imagine it's very hard
to have insight into it. I got a DM a
direct message from Christy will and Brown, who I rate very,
very highly, and she said, I just wanted you to

(02:27):
know I didn't hear your segment discussing Craig McLaughlin, but
I've seen the poll on Facebook with zero context of anything,
but just should he be allowed to return to work?
It completely and utterly undermines years of pain and suffering
women endured at the hands of that man, and the
comments below are absolutely appalling. I think it just causes
more harm to give such a little weight to such
a big issue. And she admitted she hadn't heard the

(02:50):
conversation around it, but she just saw the poll in.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Sure, and that's a problem with and on social media.
There's no context, isn't that?

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Well, interest We also received a DM from Craig's partner
Vanessa Really yes, so she wrote to us, Hello, my
name is Vanessa and I'm Craig mclachlin's other half. I
would love to say hi and chat more about your
pub test. The support Craig has received has been overwhelming,
and I thought you might want to hear a bit
more love your show.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
So there you go. I mean, you can see why
there's two sides to that story.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
Wow, what else is?

Speaker 2 (03:23):
We'll put that in the for the Monday basket.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
Came to that On a brighter note, people aren't happy
with Jonesy's views about big ac DC logos on T shirt.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
I said, Brian, that is our Monday to Wednesday guy.
He was rocking an ac DC's shirt with the small font,
and we we opined that the smaller font is more
cultured in the ACDC world. If you wear the big
ACDC logo.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
You brought it at Darling Hart, you got a bit
of a bogan people of people said Jim.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Okay, so seventy five percent of people disagree with you Jonesy,
and a lot have been saying like this. One comment
was I'd rather wear that than the crap Jonesy wears. Right,
Oh come your farm mate, So people happy with you?

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Well, I've got the big ac DC one that's got
Bond Scott, that's got Angus Young on his shoulders for
bonfire and it's all flames and heaps of ac DC.
So I was actually told that I was a bogan
for wearing that shit and I should be more stylized
with the smaller font.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Who told you that?

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Someone? See that's the bogan shit. Anyway, these are just opinions.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Okay, yeah, but what do you mean?

Speaker 1 (04:32):
This is just opinions, This is this is what our
social media lives are. We are thrilled to hear your opinions,
whatever they are.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
On a similar note, people, there's more. People are really
loving the comparison between Jonesy and Robert Irwin on Dancing
with the Stars.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Oh, we put up Robert's jive, which was quite extraordinary
and Jonesy's give and even looking back at it now,
it looks like you slid in and couldn't be bothered
standing up.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Only it was only uploaded yesterday and it already has
half a million views. A lot of people are asking
whether you rehearsed when you were on the show.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
You did about eight hours a day, you know, and
that wasn't your first dance.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
You learned German in eight hours a day.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
But lastly, this comment from Rob was really interesting.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
You know, maybe candyicate this one. Jenna Okay.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
I don't know whether he's talking about Jonesy or Robert,
but he says he needs better undies. That slug was
flopping around NonStop.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Me roll the otro. Right, we like to call her
a dance dick.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Jenna, thank you, thank you, and that sums up the
length and breadth of the week we've had.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
I think, well, thank you,
