Speaker 1 (00:01):
And Amanda jam Nation Jones demand of arms for the
pub test and today Halloween decorations.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Well, what are you putting up Halloween decorations?

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Not that does it pass the pub?

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Well, there's two prongs to this. I think.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
One is that a couple of Sydney councils are saying,
how about you go for a green Halloween because the fake.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
You're pulling a face Brendan the fake counsel start talking
about it. Can I just say this gets grind.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Fake spiderwebs and all the fishing wire. The birds take
this for their nests, and it's hatching season, and this
stuff is dangerous for birds and for local insects and
for all of that. There's another prong to this, which
is the decorations are getting more and more kind of
aggressive and scary, and lots of shops are having this
on full display, and parents are saying, my kids are

(00:52):
getting trauma.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Walking in the Bunnings. I walked in my local Bunnings
the other day and I went, what.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
It's quite scary. The big clown from it.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
There's that's my brother, he works there these days.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
But how do you feel Halloween decorations? Do they pass
the pub test.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
No, I'm not a fan of Halloween. Yeah, not a
fan of Americans. Halloweens becomes dangerous.

Speaker 5 (01:12):
That's been taken out of context.

Speaker 6 (01:14):
Yes they do. There is a house in the inner
western suburbs. The gentleman has gone to a lot of trouble,
is using cargo rope as the spider web. He has
a massive, big red back spider. He has a skeleton
mowing lawn, still white wady for his wife to tell
him how to do it. And the girl has gone
to a lot of trouble and it looks really decorative. Yes,
it passes the pub test.

Speaker 5 (01:35):
I am not a fan of Halloween, tell you the truth.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Little in the gas, the decorations, they're a waste of
time and a waste of money for me.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
That don't pass the pup test.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
To be honest, I love Halloween. It's one of the
first seasons out of the whole year, and I love
got so much stuff and it's filter in my straight
Absolutely love it. But when it comes to the spider web,
I did get rid of it. It's a lot of people
it's not like it.

Speaker 5 (02:01):
No, they do not. It's a silly American tradition anyway,
which I wish never came in and invaded our shores
and then trying to get us to buy all this
cheap crap. Anyway, but I love the fact that counsels
have said this because now I can say to my
Childhoo's five, I can't put decorations out. It's against the
council's regulations. We'll get fine. So cheers to them, red

(02:22):
tape kids.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Sorry, not my fault son. What a shame.
