cutting on.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
The cutting room floor. I liked the stories of fighting
the law and beating the law. I thought the law and.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
I want what have you done?

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Not me? Not me?

Speaker 2 (00:51):
But I do like the story of people sticking to
the cops or the man. I do like those stories.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Ask again, what have you done?

Speaker 2 (00:57):
I have done nothing?

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Your anna?

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Okay, three drunk friends?

Speaker 1 (01:02):
What have you done? Thought three drunk friends?

Speaker 2 (01:06):
They'd avoid drink driving charges? You know what they thought?
They do instead of getting which normal people would do.
I would imagine normal people would do that, But no,
these three drunk friends. So we gotta get your car.
We're worried about it's well being. So they decided to
push the car home. So how far away they didn't

(01:29):
start the car? It doesn't say how far the car
was from home. Obviously, I'm presuming it wouldn't be that
far away. It Actually, the story makes no.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Sense, no, because if it wasn't far away, walk home
and go back the next day and get your car.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Nothing you do when you're drunk makes any sense. No.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
With someone steering it, yeah, so there.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Was someone outside the car steering it the other right,
friends pushed behind and the police pulled them up. What's
going on here, governor? And the officers commended their intention,
but still issue to find for obstructing traffic.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Oh, I see, so they weren't done for being drunken.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
No, they said, good on you boys, But nonetheless, you're
still causing a hazard. While they weren't drink driving, they
were obstructing traffic.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
Right.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
But it can get lost in you know, when you're drunk,
there can be situations where you come up with ideas.
I remember many years ago I hosted a live radio
show from in Karatha from the Karatha International Hotel.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Was this such a thing?

Speaker 2 (02:33):
The International at Karatha? Yeah, and it was great. When
the night finished, the program director of the boss of
the radio station drunkingly said to me, make sure the
CDs get home safely, meaning this like the CDs, like
all the CDs because people will just rip them off.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
You know, right, I need to get them back to
the studio.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
And there wasn't that many. It was probably about one
hundred and forty CDs. I thought, he meant make sure
the CD I e the CD players get home safely.
So in my drunken state at two in the morning.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
So let me just get this right. You were the
one who was working, yes, So I put it in
your drunken state.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Yeah, because it was New Year's Eve and it was nuts.
So I put the CDs, hid them under the console,
and then with a screwdriver, took the CD players out
of the console. This is back in the days when
you know, you have record players and CD players. So
I took two giant CD players out of the console,

(03:35):
then walked through the darkened streets of Karfa. Another thing
about Karatha, they don't have street lights. They switched the
street lights on off rather at about midnight, so it
was pitch dark. So I'm walking through the streets and
it was a particularly dark night, a moonless night in Karfa.
And there's no other street lights or any other lights

(03:56):
because the place, you know, back then only had eight
thousand people living in there, and I'm walking through the
streets and it was so dark I couldn't see where
I was going, so I had to walk by feel,
so I had too CD.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
I wish there was CCTV footage of the.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Plates and I'm walking along sliding him my feet like
on the.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Floor like you're ice skating, and to hit a.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Curb or whatever, and it took me. I reckon our
house from the Kratha International would have been probably four k's.
I got lost, ended up walking off into the desert
with the CD players, and that Carath is the sort
of place you could walk for six months and not
running to anyone, So I could have walked off into
the desert and it was freezing, because that's the other thing.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
People thought he was so stupid, He's deserved.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
That, And I would be lying on the ground, just
a skeleton of Jonesy with two CD plays.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Why was he?

Speaker 1 (04:52):
What was he trying to steal those for?

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Where was he?

Speaker 1 (04:54):
And did the CDs themselves make it back to the studio?
Everyone pill yes, of course they.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Did, because there isy to steal, as opposed to the
CD players.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Anyway, I learned so much about you when we do
this show oil Alad. I made at home, did you okay?
Because I was wondering if you'd survived.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
They might have thought that I was going to the
nearest cash converts Alice.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Springs brain converters. More like, Okay, kids, that's it.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Forday, come back tomorrow for more Johnsy and a man
that's kind of him for
