Speaker 1 (00:01):
And Amanda gam Shirley Manson, lead singer of Garbage, the
Scottish rock band or what do you would call them?
Punk band? She was performing at the festival, the Melbourne
Leg of Good Things on Friday. It's an Australian music festival.
In the middle of the day, a beach ball gets
thrown around and she goes off. Come if you're.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Beg beach ball, I'm going to rush to Shirley's defense.
She's a goth, she doesn't like the beach culture.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Well then hang upside down like a bad at night.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Well that's the thing. She's playing in the daytime hours,
so she's not used to being out in sunshine.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
And this is also the nature though of an Australian festival.
It's a good natured thing. The guy who had threw
the beach ball and tossing it around is a big
festival goer. He's loved her band for years.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
He's not just in it for the beach ball.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
No, he's there for the music. But the beach balls
says summer, it says fun, all of that stuff. She's
missed the point on this, I think. But maybe you
find beach balls at concerts irritating. So that's what we're
asking you. Beach balls at concerts. Do they pass the
pub test?

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Absolutely, it passes the pub test. It's part of Osti culture,
and especially if you're at a concert in the middle
of summer during the day, of course you get to
throw around a beach ball. Absolutely passes.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
No, I don't like the idea of it. It's a distraction.
I go to your concert. I want to hear and
see the concert. However, could you imagine her going to
a Rod Stewart concert and getting hit in the head
with a soccer ball?

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Yes, it does. I attend Lee Carnighan. He had played
the Goodness Gracious Great Balls of Fire with a big
red bouncing beach ball through the crowd and everybody loves it.
Definitely passes the pub There.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Theory had a hemorrhoid.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Remember I remember watching Motley Crue and Vince Neil passed
the kidney stuff on stage.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
Hit it to me.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Well, thank you for all, thank you indeed
