Speaker 1 (00:01):
And Amanda jam I like Thursdays because not only Ryan
comes back to the fold of the show.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Double A Chattery drops.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
Today, special one Today. This is our hundredth episode. That's
a big deal, isn't it. That is a huge two
hundred episodes and we've got a big cake. We're given
this incredible cake. It looked like a teenage girl's dream,
like a Barbie one almost but all the colors of
the Double A Chattery logo, it was just brilliant.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
What colors of the Double A Chattery logo, all blue
and pink and lovely thing. Oh that's very yeah, that's
very straddling all the sexes.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Yeah, I like to straddle.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
It is a good and I say this in all sincerity,
is a very good chat to listen to you and
your friend of Niedia McGregor talk. I did like the
talk about because a lot of people would say about
you that you're easy to cry. Well this is and
I've even made the joke you will cry at the
drop of barometric.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Well, we did ask people because our hundredth episode we
said ask us anything, and a lot of the questions
there were really fabulous, insightful questions. But this one I love.
This was from Julie, who said, my question is about crying, Amanda.
You seem to be a Anita.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
You're not.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Maybe, She said, what are your thoughts about this? Are
you okay with showing emotions? Because this is what Julia said,
as she gets older, she cries.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
A lot more.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
And it hadn't really occurred to me that Anita's not
much of a crier, and so this is how she
answered it. It hadn't even occurred to me, Anita, I
really see you cry.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
It's you know. I had a conversation the other day
with somebody who's crying, and they were very embarrassed that
they were in crying in front of me. And I
actually said it would be a goal for me to
actually cry more, because I've had thirty some years of
listening to clients and some really hard stuff, and I

(01:52):
have worked very hard at kind of holding that back.
So I don't know whether by my nature I'm a
crier or not, but I actually really it would be
a goal for me to go and cry more, and
it'd be more vulnerable. And now that I'm not as
actively seeing clients, I am actually thinking about is that

(02:12):
something that's in my character because I'm not much of
a crier.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Interesting, isn't it? Because I blob blab or go the
blood struggle with mavows or you know all the time.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
As you know, But you're a sweet person. You're very sensitive.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
But so is Anita. But what an interesting perspective that
she's had to hide that vulnerability for thirty years and
now she thinks is that who she was before?

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Or is that who she's be But.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
If you're a forensic psychologist, you just can't go the
blood when someone comes in and tells their story of
a dreadful story.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
No, absolutely, you have to be that. Yeah, but I'm
not much of a crier like I do. But I've
got better at it because I was from me.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
You've got better at crime being vulnerable. But I'm from
the era where you know, boys don't cry. That was
what we're raised on. If you, if you cried, you
were some sort of sook, you know, And we're getting
better with that these days.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Do you encourage your sons to be vulnerable?

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Not really, No, I don't, But you don't if.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
They were vulnerable, you wouldn't.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
I wouldn't. No, I would not say, no, goodness, no,
But I don't tell how come on mate, discuss your feelings,
but I do talk openly with them.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
I would say this, the younger generation are better and
better at expressing their feelings absolutely, and as the generations
before my father's generation and his father's generation, yeah, we're.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
All getting better at that. So Double a Chattery lots
of insights into us and our friendship and to the show.
