What's your casual go to you? Are you a casual

Yes, I wear a three piece suit and an earpiece
and full makeup when I clean the kitchen at five
point thirty in the morning. No, I'm I have terrible
active wear. So if there's any active wear companies out
there that want to fix me up, I'm ready because
my family say. Jessica said to me the other day,
You're not going out like that, are you? I said,
what's the matter with it? She said, that is quite
possibly the worst combination. I had a pale blue kappa,

a black T shirt and probably purple running shorts and
awful colored runners. I said, yeah, I just come down
to the shops. She says, no, you are not. And
then my daughter is even more opinionated.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Yeah, well she's a fashionist.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Your daughter, well, they're just sixteen and eighteen year old
who say it as it is? And I go, oh, okay,
and I go back in and put my jeans and
a good outfit on like this one.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
You look very nice.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
But this is coming from Jess the pussy cat, who
does wear kookie outfits from time to time.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
If I dare say that, would you ever say anything
about her outfits?

Speaker 2 (01:22):
I have in the past and realized it's not worth it.
So what I just say is you look beautiful. You
look beautiful.

That's why your marriage has lasted.

This line as I look at this absolute colleidoscope, wow glitter,
and she's got day meed in the glasses. She is
a character. My wife Dora ad married over twenty years.

I just while we were there at the get go.
I was there in the early days, you know, as
I like to.

Jess was on the show with me before a man
came to work for me all those years ago, and
we had Jonesy's breakfast bar and Jess would come in
and these were the burgeoning part of your relationship. So
I've been I felt like, you know, I've been there.

You know. There's one good thing about the logis I
met Jessica at the logo and we had a glass
of Champagne. I think it was back in I don't know,
the early two thousands and just chatted and that was that.
And then she asked me out on a date about
seven months later.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Really, and did you think about her in the preceding
seven months I.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Just started at sixty minutes, so that was all consuming, Amanda.
But when she rang, I thought about her and I
asked her out and we went to a restaurant in
Balmain on a Sunday night and we've been together ever
since then. I loved it, and it only gets better.

This is my seventeenth year reading the news, going into
my thirty fifth year at Channel nine, and yeah, so
seventeen years and we've just done fifteen years in a row.

At the moment I was looking at there was going
to be a show, but then that fell through.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Well, I just I mean, you were the voice of
motor bike Cops, Jonesy. I'm sure that's a gold blow
de nomination in itself.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
They pulled the rug on that, they pulled the rug
and but did you like everything of the logies, everything
was to your specifications?

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Well, I had a front row seat, I really did.
I was on the big channel line table and we
were next to the stage. So Jimmy Barnes was literally

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Spittle and also the pirate technic.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Oh my goodness, that shocked me.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Yeah they were real and they were hot.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Yeah they were flames, but it was It was great.
It's a long show though, because you know, you get
picked up at one in the afternoon and you get
home at one the next morning if you don't go
to the after party.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
And also like the foods. I know at the ACA
table they were dining out on drugs, prostitutes and a
very expensive steak.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
I was not that type. You had this tortilla's, a
whisk and twenty six kilograms of methamphetamine.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
So there was a sleep HEELTI stay awake the whisk.
